The polls are all out there. Virginia, New Jersey and now Massachusetts have slapped Obama in the face. People are angry nationwide with lefties more angry than most and Obama sends a clear message through his Maltese Falcon, Gibbs, that their losses are victories because the polls show it so and they are staying the course.
Unfortunately, the course is so foggy and inept that most people don't know the course setting, but they know they don't like it.
A year ago I saw Hope, Change and Obama on every surface possible. Today, even Volvos display a shadow where those stickers have been torn off. The cult of Obama is in shambles as is his administration and his presidency, but Obama keeps touching on, thinking deeply and showing his shallowness at every turn, especially as he worries about things that citizens don't care about.
What was heralded as a new beginning is now nothing. Jobs are gone, homes are gone and Obama doesn't seem to get it nor does he seem to care. He offers up now cliched platitudes about Bush's fault, corporate greed, banker fat cats, truck driving fools and countless insults against every faction of society and as a child would, sinks into his presidential throne and sulks.
Those that have and do represent the greatness of America weep while those begging for more government largess keep grabbing for more as the ship sinks.
The cult is rearranging the deck chairs.

An Ohio Congressman takes a stand when it comes to the healthcare debate.
Takes a stand? Yeah, and if you don't like it, just wait minute...
On the heels of an announcement by House leadership that they may try and bring the Senate Healthcare Bill to a vote in the House of Representatives, Congressman Zack Space says the legislation is unacceptable to the 18th Congressional District, his constituents and Ohioans across the state.
Unacceptable? Like Cap and Trade? Like all his other votes for socialized medicine? Where's he standing now?
In a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi the Congressman says he will not support the current healthcare bill saying that by forcing consumers to purchase insurance it will mean higher costs for constituents and mean a financial burden they cannot manage.
Financial burden? You mean like all the trillions of dollars that we don't have, but Zacko still votes to spend? That's a stance. Right?
Space also says he's disappointed that the leadership would even consider this plan.
Disappointed? Yeah, Zack we're pretty disappointed in the leadership being demonstrated in Washington, but you stay firm in your stance on puppies and free candy for all.

Ultimate Guide To The Stupidity Of Government Control
Today is the anniversary of the enactment of prohibition. The government, in all of its glory, set out to save America from itself. Just as today we have the green movement, anti-tobacco zealots and over reaching paternalistic Judas' such as New York Mayor Bloomberg, prohibitionists enacted onerous taxes, fees, programs to indoctrinate the youth and segregationist laws placing saloons and bars away from downtown society. In short, prohibitionists knew better than the joe sixpack of the day much as blue staters today want to lord over red staters and other Americans too "dumb" to know what's good for them.
So, on the anniversary of prohibition we find ourselves facing a different playing field with the election of Senator Scott Brown which leaves today's "prohibitionists" short one vote for their health care reform. The have done to their current targets of prohibition, such as tobacco, the same things they did then to alcohol. They have taxed, regulated and harassed doctors, insurance companies and to the average citizen they have offered government care for the betterment of all.
Just as the society controllers of prohibition failed then, they will fail now. Just as they put millions of Americans out of work then, they will do so now. Just as they created organized crime then, they will obliquely create new crime and new crime syndicates now. Just as then, government is not the answer now.
As with the federally enacted prohibition against the imbibing of alcohol, today's purveyors of mandatory health care cite the need for such legislation as a moral imperative for the health of the nation, the health of industry and business and for the good of society as a whole. Indeed, just as prohibitionists spoke of the dregs of society, the indigent, the immigrant, the negro and the rural ignorant, being helped, today's "reformists" speak in more veiled terms of he disadvantaged, the undocumented, the mentally challenged and those unable to grasp the true needs of a modern day society. Prohibitionists thumped Bibles for the cause and marched and swung axes in pursuit of propriety. Today's reformers thump political tracts and 'white papers" of reported gravitas, march and swing government promises and money in pursuit of a just society.
The people are awakening, just as they did to the unintended consequences of prohibition, to what this massive government takeover of health care will mean to their lives. People have historically trusted politicians in this country and that trust was and now is being betrayed by politicians. These politicians believe they are smarter than those they represent and as is usually the case, politicians are quite surprised when a wake up call points out just how stupidly they have been acting.
Scott Brown is the de jour wake up call.

Brown Has Won
How much will the Democrats mitigate the victory? Cut the margin of victory, that's how. And they will do it. Just to lessen the slap in the face the Democrats have received. It is they're only hope.
Coakley Looking Bad
It appears that all there is to decide is whether the voters and Brown win or whether the unions, ACORN and a totally out of touch Democrat machine wins.
No Unshaven Jihadis
Just got back. I talked to a good Father, good friends and family members that are shrinkologists and I still cannot find the plan or the logic in a wonderful life gone so soon. At his point any plan or logic is beyond my understanding ergo I will not write about it again until I do.
I spent days with old friends, many that I have not seen for years. In and out of conversations the main topic was Scott Brown. Those of the old school scoffed that a Republican had no chance while the converted dreamily smiled that Brown will win. For the most part those I spoke with wouldn't understand Massachusetts politics if it bit them.
I believe Brown will win the election, but I am not sure that he will win the count.
On the plus side, absentee ballots had to in and logged before the machine knew it was in trouble. Without the multiple voters and the dead Coakley loses a vast edge. With all the typical union thug money and boots on the ground Coakley gets back some edge, but the electorate seems to have finally tired of the same old schtick. Polls, always unreliable, and anecdotal evidence such as yard signs and die hard Democrat neighbors who are voting for Brown can't tell the real story. Massachusetts has produced winners before that were 9 points down before the election, but won by 4.
The real election will be in the precincts after the polls have closed and might be decided by the (re)strength of the Kennedy machine that has become somewhat complacent. With the death of the Lion of the Senate, Dearest Teddy, still fresh in some minds the machine may creak and move into action. Still, the machine may have lost its lust with the last of the Kennedy boys gone.
One can't really get the gist of successful political tactics while sipping drinks at the yacht club with someone else's wife. The younger Kennedys might be counting on the Southies to do their magic, but are the Southies still in the game? Will they turn their rough and tough minds and fists to politics once again to ensure a group of swill sipping punk kids of the older generation will stay in power? If it were me, I'd tell them it ain't rain making them wet.
Will the army of Kennedy volunteers rise one last time like Napoleon's ghost army to protect the first family of Massachusetts? Will the numbers runners fill the back counting rooms to fill the ballot boxes with the correct number of correct votes precinct by precinct? Have they this time even taken the time to make those numbers add up in just the correct ratio?
I don't know.
One thing I did learn on this trip is that when a sad, unshaven old man in a dress coat two sizes too large approaches airport security, he gets through security a lot faster than those less tired and better groomed. I presume that in the footnotes of the TSA manual there is mention of the fact that there are no unshaven Jihadists.

The labor unions have been fighting the Senate health care bill for some time now--specifically, the provision that levies high taxes on "Cadillac" plans that exceed certain maximums. That was expected to be a sticking point in the negotiations between the Senate and the House, but as Samuel Johnson once said, "the prospect of being hanged focuses the mind wonderfully." With the potential loss of their 60 vote majority lurking ahead, they can't dawdle on the details; it's time to haul in their lente and festina like hell.
Take unpopular unions and match them with an unpopular president and congress and you have an Obama success. Huh?

Coakley Hires DSCC Thug To Rough Up Reporter
And Brown gets small donations from all over adding up to $1.3 million dollars. Unions are pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into trying to save Coakley who is now embarrassing Obama and the kids in DC.

A tipster tells me that the man who was pushing me outside of a Capitol Hill fundraiser Tuesday night for Massachusetts Democratic Senate candidate Martha Coakley is Michael Meehan.
Meehan heads up a firm called Blue Line Strategic Communications along with his partner David DiMartino, who was outside the fundraiser with Coakley tonight and introduced himself to me there. The AP reported on Monday that Meehan is also working for Coakley: "The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee also dispatched Michael Meehan, a media consultant with ties to Massachusetts, to assist the Coakley camp with messaging."
It seems that Meehan has worked for a number of candidates that want to make nice with thugs. Maybe that is why he was hired. He obviously understands thuggery.

Why Coakley Scares Harry Or Why Reid Has To Win Health Care Reform
Will Harry Reid retire at the end of this year? I believe he will. Yes, I do.
Harry Reid's Swansong
Gaffes? Part of it. Polls in the sewer? Stinks, doesn't it Harry.
I think Harry decided a while back that this was it, so why not go out in a blaze of glory. Health Care Reform. Maybe he thought there'd be Harry Reid Memorial hospitals all over America instead of his name on a political toe tag in the morgue of the House.
Fund is right. This may be Harry's swansong and Scott Brown just might have a bullet to cut that swansong short. Even if Coakley wins (can you spell SEIUACORN), the special election result may give one or two senators the cajones and brains to vote no. If Scott Brown wins and Harry hurries up the Senate vote in hopes of passage, it will be his swansong and the Democrat majority will die with the swan.
Even with the botox and new glasses Harry looks tired and his body language is that of a fighter who wonders how the rounds swept by so fast. Even more tiring is that camera-man Chuck Schumer is lurking in the wings plotting a palace coup against Harry.
Harry is more than aware that nothing stands between Schumer and the cameras. Not if they want to survive. Chuck cares that much.

This is a horrible Sunday. I know God has a plan, but I am bereft in seeking logic upon hearing that she is gone. That she leaves behind one of the best friends I have in the world brings a sorrow that I wish I could help him with.
Paula was a smart, very smart, no BS professional who also was a funny, fun and an incredibly interesting person. We used to in quiet moments discuss political biographies we had both read and were immensely amused and interested in the minutiae of particular works. Needless to say I was incredibly impressed with the width and depth of her intelligence and knowledge. In a selfish way it was so gratifying to have such conservations, but never more so than when she agreed with my summations. When she disagreed, I listened carefully because I knew I was in for a lesson which never failed or disappointed me. Dear Lord, she was only 46 years old. Why?
She was Cong. John Boehner's right arm and was damned good at it. Boehner made her better, but she made Boehner better. Paula did the work required by Boehner's office, but she not only improved it, she found solutions, never for expediency, but for principle that made it work and work correctly.
Besides her political work she and Michael Smith helped put together one of the great oddities in DC, the Kennedy Boehner Dinner for the parochial schools in and around our nations capitol. Over the years the dinner raised millions.
To sit and have a cocktail and a chat with the pair was one of the most enjoyable evenings we could look forward to. The year the new stadium was built in Cleveland we went to a Brown's game when the temperature was hot, the Dog Pound was panting and we laughed and cheered before going to a dinner in a little Italian restaurant. Michael and I went next door to a "gift shop" and found toy cell phones that made incredibly obnoxious ring tones which we rang over and over chatting to imagined world leaders telling them what smucks they were. Paula laughed so hard she almost had tears coming down her face.
Work loads got in the way of Michael and Paula coming to Columbus to meet us for a Red Wings /Blue Jackets game. Hockey, especially the Red Wings was a passion for Paula. I wish we had been able to make a game.
I am praying for Paula and for the good man left alone.
May the good Lord cradle this incredible woman close to his heart. She loved Him and Miss Paula loved His work. She also loved a drink and a good joke which allows me to believe the Lord has a sense of humor.

Geez, Conservative Racism?
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada described then-Sen. Barack Obama as "light skinned" and "with no Negro dialect." Obama is the nation's first African-American president

When two "conservatives" like Reid and Biden are saying these type of things you know they only see President Obama through the lens of racism.

A True American Hero Is Gone

Kissed By A Guardrail
Went to the grocery store (had to, buy one, get one free). Store was packed. People acting like health care reform passed or that the apocolypse, but I digress, were upon us.
Driving home some genius moron talking on his cell phone, manipulating world currencies and driving too fast had to lock up his breaks to avoid hitting a number of us driving conservatively. Two of us got lightly tapped by said genius. I slowly went around on the snow and ice and tapped a guardrail. The other, in a Prius, got the inside guardrail with a lot of damage.
Genius drove on so I geared back up in four wheel drive and caught up with him at a stop light 2 miles down the road. Called the Patrol and gave them the model and color of the van he was driving along with the license plate number. I told them he was still chatting on his phone and was asked if there were any other identifying things about the van that I could see.
I smiled and started reading his bumper stickers off. Gore, Kerry, Hillary, Obama, Arms are for hugging, and many others. My favorite though was No Peace/No Justice - Know Peace/Know Justice.
The Patrol was on him like white on rice. Know justice, know peace.

Locally, Obama stickers are disappearing from cars and windows, even with the local college. Working people are seeing first hand what big government help does to them and they don't like it. Going to taverns or parties is refreshing in that if you want a moment of relief, just bring up Obama and it gets very quiet and people drift away.
Over Christmas while in New York, those that voted for Obama, et al seemed so defensive or they came right out and stated they had made a mistake. Many, who I had known as liberals, said they'd had it with the Democrats and they'd give no more money, no more support and no more votes.
I'm not sure who to nominate for Republican helper of the year, Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Waxman, Schumer, Emanuel or the professor, Axlerod.

Not A Happy New Year For Democrats
After a year of hope and change the collateral damage crowd is splitting for safe turf. They didn't sign up for the debacle called Obamanism.
Dem recruits continue to head for exits
Expect more. Rahm Emanuel created the monster he calls conservative Democrats, Blue Dogs, and now they and future recruits are biting back. None of them in office currently, such as Zack Space, could have won if they told the truth of where they stood politically.
Oh, Emanuel will pour in the money for the 2010 elections to point out the utopia they have brought us, but Zack and friends can't hide or change their votes oh health care reform, cap and trade and other instruments of big government socialism.
I think Americans will take America back in 2010 thus thwarting Obamanism, but it will continue to grow unless there is a veto proof congress able turn the clock back to smaller government and more freedom.

Episcopal Church: Jesus Who? Huh?
As my regular reader knows I was raised an an Episcopalian. In the small Episcopal church I attended as a youth the political became more important than the liturgy as the Vietnam War was won there and lost here. Even though my father stood us all up in the middle of another "baby killing" and "rapist" sermon and walked all eight of us down the aisle and out the door, never to return again, he and my mother still had hope.
The next year, as I entered the sixth grade, I was sent to Howe Military School (why is another story) which turned my life around in many ways and all to the good. Yes, it took two years of getting the most swats and detentions, but the slow turn to productivity and self discipline took place even as my mind fought it with every ounce of strength it had. Behind the scenes was Father Bowling. He changed my life.
Because of Father Bowling I studied long and hard in school and in his communion classes. They were rough, but he cajoled, gave support and punished us when we were woefully not doing as we should. Father Bowling understood the minds of boys just entering the "dirty" world of puberty and changed the change into something good and clean with his gentle, but firm direction. I can still remember the day I sat in a small room and was told I was now ready for confirmation. I exited the room and there stood Father Bowling with a big smile on his face. As we lounged on his lawn with his wife and children eating a celebratory meal I felt for the first time in my life that I had not just accomplished something, but something of import that was good.
Soon, I entered training to be an acolyte. Father Bowling was again right there beside us cajoling, supporting and guiding us along the path. The correct and respectful way to carry the cross at the head of processions (if you were lucky enough to be chosen), the best way to swing the incense (smells and bells!) and the timely ringing to Agnus Dei (Lamb of God) were under his watchful eye. The memory of the Corp singing "For All The Saints" still sends a chill down my spine. The Word of God was spoken each Sunday High Mass and Wednesday evening services in a dignified and glorious way. It was personal. It was the word of God.
After Howe I went to another private school, which was very elite and will remain unnamed, which was also Episcopal based, but tended to favor whatever had nothing to do with the Word of God. The congregation out did each other through hats, furs, expensive shoes and snooty attitudes. Not to be out done, the students wore blazers and ties with matching blue jean shirts and Top-Siders worn and scuffed to just the right amount of shabby chic. There was no true piety nor Glory. Most of us went to the gardens at the Greek amphitheater and smoked and told dirty jokes. My path downward was set and abetted by the church.
After years of fun filled drugs, alcohol and really great rock and roll I grew tired of the "life". My total failure as a husband and a father had caused my marriage to collapse. I was looking hard at myself and didn't like what I saw. An aging rock and roller standing there with a drink in one hand, a cigarette in the other and the echoes of CBGB's music rattling around in a bruised brain is not only not pretty, it is also not productive in a way that sucks the life out of those you love. Time for a change.
I started putting my life back together and still felt I was torn between the different lives I had constructed or had fallen into. I started work in the DC area and applied myself hard. Once again I felt myself turning back to the good. My children stood with me which to this day is amazing and wonderful. One day I walked into work and saw her. She wore a dress that reminded me of my grandmother and had a smile that left me unable to speak, but once I did, I couldn't stop. I had found a partner who put me back together again.
I took her to an Episcopal church which was my first time back in many years. It felt hollow. I then took her to the crown jewel of the Episcopal Church, North America, the National Cathedral. I explained that my sisters had attended school there and I had been baptized there. She stared at the felt banners proclaiming God's love of everything the Bible speaks against and she ran her fingers over the plaques with the names of those that had donated a window or this or that and said, "Lets get outta here. I'm spooked and standing on top of an admiral. Need more?"
She, being Catholic, took me to a Catholic church. I liked it. Because of my past we couldn't get married in the Catholic Church so we got married in an Anglican church. Ironically we now attend a Catholic church bearing my name which I share with a saint. My sisters still joke that they are going to donate lightening rods to protect the building when I attend, just to be on the safe side. Even more ironical, I found out that my father had been raised Catholic, but had switched to Episcopal for my mother when they married. He referred to Jesuits, who had beaten an education into him, as God's Black Shirts. He never mentioned his religious upbringing. I later found my/his relatives buried in Holy Cross and St. Vincent's cemeteries. A long way from St. Albans and the National Cathedral. Religiously, my two lives finally dovetailed in an odd way only my family could accomplish.
I still miss the Episcopal Church. But then I read things like this:

I was pleased to find an Episcopal church whose website focused on religion, not ObamaCare. I left a message for the priest that I was looking for a church that didn't press a political agenda because I wasn't a liberal.
I received an icy reply from the priest, the Reverend Lucy, who said with barely-contained disgust, "I don't think you should check us out."
Her response left me shaken and angry. I understand that leftists despise conservatives. I have seen that creepy look of pure hatred when I naïvely told a leftist friend about my political conversion.
But an Episcopal priest rejecting me during the holiest time of year? Isn't anything or anyone sacred?
In shunning me, the Reverend Lucy exposed not only her own hypocrisy, but the duplicity of the left itself. She unveiled the left's dirty little secret -- that their doctrines are as bogus as global warming.
I am not surprised. At all. But I still miss Father Bowling and the intellectual and spiritual sustenence he provided to all that sought them (and a few who didn't).

The correct and respectful way to carry the cross at the head of processions (if you were lucky enough to be chosen), the best way to swing the incense (smells and bells!) and the timely ringing to Agnus Dei (Lamb of God) were under his watchful eye. The memory of the Corp singing "For All The Saints" still sends a chill down my spine. The Word of God was spoken each Sunday High Mass and Wednesday evening services in a dignified and glorious way. It was personal. It was the word of God.
After Howe I went to another private school, which was very elite and will remain unnamed, which was also Episcopal based, but tended to favor whatever had nothing to do with the Word of God. The congregation out did each other through hats, furs, expensive shoes and snooty attitudes. Not to be out done, the students wore blazers and ties with matching blue jean shirts and Top-Siders worn and scuffed to just the right amount of shabby chic. There was no true piety nor Glory. Most of us went to the gardens at the Greek amphitheater and smoked and told dirty jokes. My path downward was set and abetted by the church.
After years of fun filled drugs, alcohol and really great rock and roll I grew tired of the "life". My total failure as a husband and a father had caused my marriage to collapse. I was looking hard at myself and didn't like what I saw. An aging rock and roller standing there with a drink in one hand, a cigarette in the other and the echoes of CBGB's music rattling around in a bruised brain is not only not pretty, it is also not productive in a way that sucks the life out of those you love. Time for a change.
I started putting my life back together and still felt I was torn between the different lives I had constructed or had fallen into. I started work in the DC area and applied myself hard. Once again I felt myself turning back to the good. My children stood with me which to this day is amazing and wonderful. One day I walked into work and saw her. She wore a dress that reminded me of my grandmother and had a smile that left me unable to speak, but once I did, I couldn't stop. I had found a partner who put me back together again.
I took her to an Episcopal church which was my first time back in many years. It felt hollow. I then took her to the crown jewel of the Episcopal Church, North America, the National Cathedral. I explained that my sisters had attended school there and I had been baptized there. She stared at the felt banners proclaiming God's love of everything the Bible speaks against and she ran her fingers over the plaques with the names of those that had donated a window or this or that and said, "Lets get outta here. I'm spooked and standing on top of an admiral. Need more?"
She, being Catholic, took me to a Catholic church. I liked it. Because of my past we couldn't get married in the Catholic Church so we got married in an Anglican church. Ironically we now attend a Catholic church bearing my name which I share with a saint. My sisters still joke that they are going to donate lightening rods to protect the building when I attend, just to be on the safe side. Even more ironical, I found out that my father had been raised Catholic, but had switched to Episcopal for my mother when they married. He referred to Jesuits, who had beaten an education into him, as God's Black Shirts. He never mentioned his religious upbringing. I later found my/his relatives buried in Holy Cross and St. Vincent's cemeteries. A long way from St. Albans and the National Cathedral. Religiously, my two lives finally dovetailed in an odd way only my family could accomplish.
I still miss the Episcopal Church. But then I read things like this:
The Hypocrisy of the Left
I was pleased to find an Episcopal church whose website focused on religion, not ObamaCare. I left a message for the priest that I was looking for a church that didn't press a political agenda because I wasn't a liberal.
I received an icy reply from the priest, the Reverend Lucy, who said with barely-contained disgust, "I don't think you should check us out."
Her response left me shaken and angry. I understand that leftists despise conservatives. I have seen that creepy look of pure hatred when I naïvely told a leftist friend about my political conversion.
But an Episcopal priest rejecting me during the holiest time of year? Isn't anything or anyone sacred?
In shunning me, the Reverend Lucy exposed not only her own hypocrisy, but the duplicity of the left itself. She unveiled the left's dirty little secret -- that their doctrines are as bogus as global warming.
I am not surprised. At all. But I still miss Father Bowling and the intellectual and spiritual sustenence he provided to all that sought them (and a few who didn't).

The System Worked, Eh?
Bungled accelerants and enraged passengers now seem to be part of Janet Napolitano's Homeland Security manual. It is incredulous that a person in such an important position is so stupid that she thinks anyone would believe that.

She stressed the safety of air travel, and repeatedly said in an upbeat tone that "the system worked" and "everything happened that should have."
This administration has in place some of the most inept people that I have ever seen in politics. Janet Napolitano is worse than Robert Gibbs who is a woesome prevaricator and she less sense than Rahm Emanuel. With personnel like this protecting our country, the Republic's future is in serious doubt.

Democrats today have repeatedly expressed a confidence that they won't face a backlash for their votes when they return home for the holidays, which would stand in marked contrast to the August recess.

Christmas Eve Family Celebration
In just a few hours we will begin our annual family celebration of the birth of Christ. Fittingly, as my wife's family fished the Adriatic for generations, we will have seven courses and seven fish from the seven seas to ensure good fishing in all walks of life for the new year. This year will see 23 family members from all over to celebrate. What fun.

You may have heard the buzz that there’s a provision in the Senate health care bill that it can only be repealed with a 2/3 super-majority of the Senate. That seems impossible and unconstitutional. But it appears to have been inserted for at least one section of the bill, that referring to the so-called “death panels,” otherwise known as the Independent Medicare Advisory Boards.
I don't know why anyone would complain. This is clearly stated on page 1020 for all to see. If you can actually see a copy of the bill. Or have enough time to read the first 1019 pages.

Reid: Thief In The Night
Harry Reid, self described religious man, will tonight, as a thief in the night, steal America from Americans. Reid, who is someone not intimate with the truth, will blame Republicans for the 1:00 AM vote.
Health care reform, such a majestic sounding thing, is an odious bill hated by both sides, but necessary to claim forward movement for Reid and his band of little acting kids.
Once again, Reid will hold a vote in the dark of night. Less than a week before Christmas. Less supported than Harry's other lame brained ideas. Less necessary than free diaper wipes for illegal aliens.
I expected Reid, Pelosi and Obama to destroy America, but I am surprised at their audacity. Reid is a political hack, Pelosi a privileged damaged ideologue and Obama is a child man living his late night political perceived gotchas are the worst political triumvirate in American history. Game, fame and lame.
Politics such as this is usually practiced during revolution. These three might remember that this country had a revolution once. It was revolution for less government control, more freedom and the unity of man through representative democracy, a republic.

How many threats were issued? Many are saying that Nelson got many concessions, but Nelson knows what this bill actually represents. Huge deficits, federal control of over 1/6 of our economy, higher costs for individuals, penalties for those that don't want health insurance, the demise of options and the eventual adding of taxpayer abortions and government control over individuals private lives.

Angry Libs Want To Kill The Senate
It appears the party of "tolerance" is getting a tad testy and becoming intolerant. When will this madness stop? A separate super state that is not answerable to a central or state government. Maybe we should create a special super state for blacks? For gays? How about one third of the country to Latino/Mexican/Hispanics? Well, we created reservations for Indians and look how well that worked out.

The Akaka bill would create a race-based state in Hawaii.
President Obama speaks proudly of his childhood in Hawaii, so we wonder what the state's voters think of his support for a bill that would redistribute its wealth based on race. That's what would happen under the Native Hawaiian Government Reorganization Act, which Congress is trying to sneak through in its final days this year.
Sponsored by Senator Daniel Akaka, the bill would transfer a percentage of public-owned lands to a native Hawaiian government within the state of Hawaii. The legislation would collect some 400,000 ethnic Hawaiians scattered across the country into a newly affiliated tribe, eventually endowed with the powers of a sovereign state, including freedom from state taxes and regulations and separate police power.
Proponents say the plan would duplicate the legal scenario set up for Native Americans, but the Akaka bill carves out new territory.
Besides, this is just a first step toward Hawaii breaking completely from the United States to become a separate nation and Senator Akaka and President Obama know this.
Race based politics has always been stupid, but this is dangerous. The melting pot that is America is our strength, but there have been rules for the melting pot achieving the American dream such as assimilation, hard work, learn our language and loyalty to the country. Just as with the Indian, this bill will foster no assimilation, no loyalty, no melting pot and never ending taxpayer hand outs which kill initiative. It will also weaken our country because the bill would achieve the opposite. It will create disloyalty.

en, I believe, an ongoing effort to split the United States of America. There has been, obviously, the "Indian Nation" which has been and will continue to be a failed effort on the part of the federal government to maintain reservations for the preservation of Indian culture instead of assimilation. Reservations set a precedent, which created lands within the United States as not part of the United States, and there are those attempting to link to that precedent such as Aztlan, Raza, and MEChA. No, not to set up reservations for Mexicanos, but to use the reservation precedent as a legal basis of the admitted wrongdoing by the United States to break lands away from the United States.
A six year board member of La Raza, a Mexican group that is actively pursuing the re-conquest of Southwestern United States, is a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States of America, Sonia Sotomayor. La Raza is nothing more than a hate group that was counseled by Yasser Arafat and Sotomayor helped direct and support that hate against the sovereignty of the United States. During her confirmation hearings Sotomayor answered no questions about her involvement because none were asked. It was considered impolite to question a wise Latino woman.
Miguel Perez, a La Raza spokesman at Cal State-Northridge, has been quoted as saying: “The ultimate ideology is the liberation of Aztlan. Communism would be closest [to it]. Once Aztlan is established, ethnic cleansing would commence: Non-Chicanos would have to be expelled — opposition groups would be quashed because you have to keep power.”
There is a movement within the United States made up of people and groups that have little or no loyalty to their country which includes blacks, whites, Indians, Mexicans, Hawaiians, arabs and others that would welcome the breaking up of the country. They have different agendas, but the same goal. They also have no fear of their actions because Americans have been bludgeoned into not asking for fear of charges of racism. Now these people and groups appear to have government on their side in reaching their goal.
Then there are others that will go along because, even though they are not actively working toward that goal, they believe it will profit them. Other groups that could ally with them are those who don't care, are afraid or just plain believe the propaganda against America even though they are not part of any group. Rev Wright's chickens are coming home to roost throughout the land because no one has stood up and called BS on him and his followers such as Obama.
Each group has an agenda and the stronger groups will exploit those other groups to their ends through ever changing alliances that will strengthen their numbers and their resolve toward the goal of stripping away large areas of the United States to form new counties constantly weakening us which is what they want and so do our international enemies, especially those once super powers. That will allow our wealth to become easier pickings and, more important, dim the beacon of hope for a world weary of despots, dictators and tyrants.
Hawaii is significant today as it was December 7, 1941 as it will be the modern indicator of a new war on the sovereignty of the United States of America and a U. S. Senator is leading the attack with the full support of an American president, both of which seem to have an agenda other than to protect and serve the nation.

The Akaka bill would create a race-based state in Hawaii.
President Obama speaks proudly of his childhood in Hawaii, so we wonder what the state's voters think of his support for a bill that would redistribute its wealth based on race. That's what would happen under the Native Hawaiian Government Reorganization Act, which Congress is trying to sneak through in its final days this year.
Sponsored by Senator Daniel Akaka, the bill would transfer a percentage of public-owned lands to a native Hawaiian government within the state of Hawaii. The legislation would collect some 400,000 ethnic Hawaiians scattered across the country into a newly affiliated tribe, eventually endowed with the powers of a sovereign state, including freedom from state taxes and regulations and separate police power.
Proponents say the plan would duplicate the legal scenario set up for Native Americans, but the Akaka bill carves out new territory.
Besides, this is just a first step toward Hawaii breaking completely from the United States to become a separate nation and Senator Akaka and President Obama know this.
Race based politics has always been stupid, but this is dangerous. The melting pot that is America is our strength, but there have been rules for the melting pot achieving the American dream such as assimilation, hard work, learn our language and loyalty to the country. Just as with the Indian, this bill will foster no assimilation, no loyalty, no melting pot and never ending taxpayer hand outs which kill initiative. It will also weaken our country because the bill would achieve the opposite. It will create disloyalty.

There has been, obviously, the "Indian Nation" which has been and will continue to be a failed effort on the part of the federal government to maintain reservations for the preservation of Indian culture instead of assimilation. Reservations set a precedent, which created lands within the United States as not part of the United States, and there are those attempting to link to that precedent such as Aztlan, Raza, and MEChA. No, not to set up reservations for Mexicanos, but to use the reservation precedent as a legal basis of the admitted wrongdoing by the United States to break lands away from the United States.A six year board member of La Raza, a Mexican group that is actively pursuing the re-conquest of Southwestern United States, is a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States of America, Sonia Sotomayor. La Raza is nothing more than a hate group that was counseled by Yasser Arafat and Sotomayor helped direct and support that hate against the sovereignty of the United States. During her confirmation hearings Sotomayor answered no questions about her involvement because none were asked. It was considered impolite to question a wise Latino woman.
Miguel Perez, a La Raza spokesman at Cal State-Northridge, has been quoted as saying: “The ultimate ideology is the liberation of Aztlan. Communism would be closest [to it]. Once Aztlan is established, ethnic cleansing would commence: Non-Chicanos would have to be expelled — opposition groups would be quashed because you have to keep power.”
