Instead of cucumber sandwichs being served at events the K Street lobby will institute Kennedy Dodd nibbles for all congressional events. In honor of his deceased friend and tomcat lion of the senate, Dodd will be lobbying hard to get tax breaks to do a remake of "Pretty Baby" in Chile, thus legally having the ability to rent entire brothels for the shooting of the film.

Dodd plans to enlarge and extend his role with the organization by being a consultant for casting and a scene advisor for all productions, but stated this added position will not be part of his contract and he is doing it to envelop himself totally in the atmosphere of Hollywood on the Potomac.

Dodd has said that he is really pumped up for his new role and plans to make the "A" team soon.

A tipster tells me that the man who was pushing me outside of a Capitol Hill fundraiser Tuesday night for Massachusetts Democratic Senate candidate Martha Coakley is Michael Meehan.

Meehan heads up a firm called Blue Line Strategic Communications along with his partner David DiMartino, who was outside the fundraiser with Coakley tonight and introduced himself to me there. The AP reported on Monday that Meehan is also working for Coakley: "The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee also dispatched Michael Meehan, a media consultant with ties to Massachusetts, to assist the Coakley camp with messaging."

It seems that Meehan has worked for a number of candidates that want to make nice with thugs. Maybe that is why he was hired. He obviously understands thuggery.

When John "Did You Know I Was In Vietnam" Kerry was running for president Ted Kennedy got the law in Massachusetts changed so the Republican governor couldn't name an interim senator if Kerry won and vacated his senate seat.

Now that Kennedy appears to vacating the seat soon he wants the now Democrat governor, Deval L. Patrick, to change the law back to what it had been before Kennedy got it changed to ensure a liberal Democrat be seated.
