To Change Washington, Change Obama

Go to Drudge, CBSnews, Reuters, etc., and all you will see are articles about how Obama and Democrats are trying to change Washington by changing the rules to allow for HCR to pass.

If voters want real change all they have to do is say "stop it."

To change Washington, change Obama and the way he wants change. Spending Trillions we don't have is not the change we want.

CBO: Only $940 B For Incomplete Health Care!!!!

Gee, only $940 billion for this health care reform. Have you an extra $940 billion we might have? Maybe another $940 billion to insure the rest of the people that this bill doesn't cover?

Think about it, if this bill, according to the CBO, saves $130 billion in the first 10 years then by doing the next part we can save another $130 billion for a grand total of $260 billion in savings! Right?

Source: CBO estimates health care bill at $940 billion
The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office estimates that the Democrats' revised health care bill will cost $940 billion over the next 10 years, a House Democratic source told CNN Thursday.

The bill cuts the deficit by $130 billion during that period of time, according to the source.

This report is so bogus because it takes into account "savings" that Congress will implement over the next ten years. Has Congress ever controlled spending over the long term? No.

Kiss the savings goodbye. Might as well wave bye-bye just once instead of twice, thrice and so forth. You don't want to sprain that arm. You may need health care.

Obama Establishes Bipartisan National Commission

Today, President Obama will sign an executive order establishing the bipartisan National Commission on Reproductive Responsibility and Reform and announce that Nadya Denise Doud-Suleman Gutierrez (born Natalie Denise Suleman, July 11, 1975) known as Octomom will serve as the Commission's chair.

In other news, President Obama also will establish the bipartisan National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform and announce that former White House Chief of Staff Erskine Bowles and former Republican Senate Whip Alan Simpson will serve as the Commission’s co-chairs.

"Of course, there are screwballs, lightweights and boobs in Congress. There are idiots in all walks of life, and we wouldn't want those people to not be represented!" Retired U.S. Senator Alan Simpson

Ron Paul And Things I Wish I Had Missed

The Ron Paul rEvolution is till there, unfortunately. Now they're kicking things up a notch in their effort to isolate America and prevent us from protecting ourselves. They've become better dressed anti war hippies for today's generation. That they may cripple us and help kill our soldiers abroad doesn't seem to be a connect for them. Nor do they see a connect with the America hating left, but sometimes a political movement just has an agenda to raise money that is being driven by a tin ear.

Stuck on stupid
Remember how well the Ron Paul Blimp worked when it propelled Ron Paul into the Oval Office in 2008? Me neither. But that doesn’t deter the Paulians from launching a campaign to litter our skies with a “Peace Blimp"

Please join us this March 20th for the largest online monetary war protest
in history. Our goal is to bring together 100,000 people to donate $10 each
(minimum), creating a one day total of millions to fly the Peace Blimp until we
the people force our government to end this war.

That these "leaders" feel that they will alter the course of America is laughable, but then is that their real goal? Better a bigger fish in a smallish pond, eh?

Ah, To Have Such A Statesman Today

One day shortly after the Second World War ended, Winston Churchill and Labour Party Prime Minister Clement Attlee encountered one another at the urinal trough in the House of Common’s men’s washroom. Attlee arrived first. When Churchill arrived, he stood as far away from him as possible. Attlee said, “Feeling standoffish today, are we, Winston?” Churchill said: “That’s right. Every time you see something big, you want to nationalize it.”

Boring Update

Andrew Sullivan is depressed and still has his school girl crush on Sarah Palin. His (?) panties are still in a twist.

My 2010 New Year's wish for Andrew is that he finds a less self directed satirical obsession than Sarah Palins birth canal.

Republican Defense Pork Hypocrisy

If it increases government spending, vote against it.

If it increases government power, vote against it.

What part of this do Republicans in Congress not understand?

Less spending. More freedom.

This isn't just about TARP, Stimulus or socialized medicine and scads of fascist programs like National Service and the arts.

It includes pork.

Most Republicans support our mission in Iraq and Afghanistan. Most Democrats do not. To Democrats, these missions which defend the United States by eradicating terrorists and free 50 plus million people, take away money for their 50 plus years power surge. Money for troops means less money for power. Power, in Democrat terms, means higher taxes for even more money, more government control couched in do-goodedness and control of the message that points out the wrongness of not infiltrating every aspect of our lives, if only to help us, by righting a perceived socialital slight.

If the Kennedy family (and their servant, Kennedy-lite Kerry) wants a quasi presidential museum for Ted, let them go ask the Kopechne's for the money. If Vitter and Landrieu want money for a Louisianna World War II Museum that duplicates efforts across the nation, let them ask the alumni of the University of New Orleans, where they want to build, to pony up the cash.

If most Republicans support our mission in Iraq and Afghanistan, why are they stuffing the funding for our troops there with pork for Republican pet projects. Correct me if I'm wrong, but acting like big spending, corrupt and amoral Democrats got the Republican Party right where it belongs as back benchers whose opinions aren't asked for nor wanted by Democrats and voters alike. The latter because they feel that if Republicans are going to act like Democrats, why not vote for Democrats who are at least honest about their dishonesty. The former because Democrats don't like competition, there is only so much self righteousness and graft to go around.

Republicans, such as Snowe and Collins of Maine want $20 million in Humvee money for workers in Maine, Republican Cochran of Mississippi inserted 35 earmarks for $206 million in a Murthaean effort to "not cede the power of the purse to any administration." Hey, Thad, why not cede the power of the purse to the taxpayer?

Over all, $2.6 billion in pork was inserted via 778 pet projects. Many of these pet projects were inserted by Republicans and these projects take away from military operations and maintenance. That's guns and ammunition and things like training. Granted, many in Congress don't think these things are important, but that any Republican shares this view makes them hypocritical disgraces.

What Did Obama's Prize Cost The Nobel Committee?

What did Obama give the Nobel Peace Prize committee for his receiving the Nobel Peace Prize as a Blue Light Special?

As a Christmas present in a nonreligious world view:
Israel will 'attack Iran if sanctions not in place by Christmas'...

For peace in Afghanistan:
US forces leave isolated Afghan base after ambush...
Apache Pilots Shocked by Size of Attack on Outpost...

For peace in Europe:
Nuclear researcher from top European lab arrested for al-Qaeda links...
'Big bang'...
RUSSIA: New US missile plan raises 'questions'...

For peaceful feelings throughout the world:
Castro calls Obama's Nobel Prize 'positive measure'...
Chinese dissidents let down...

For harmony here in America:
Barney Frank says DC gay rights march misses mark...
Read the health bill! Not as easy as you think...

For the entire planet:
BBC: What happened to global warming?

For creating economic comfort zones:
Kudlow: Save the Greenback, Mr. President...

For cover to ensure the continued belief that the Nobel Committee is serious:
GAME TIME: Obama Takes to Basketball Court With Cabinet Members, Lawmakers...

It should be an honor for the whole country for our president to receive a Nobel Peace Prize. For accomplishing peace.

Didn't Support Socialized Medicine, Olympic Bid, Nobel Prize? You're A Traitor You Terrorist UnAmerican Nazi

DNC: If you laugh at Obama’s Nobel, you side with terrorists

Far be it from me to question the sanity of the DNC as I used to tipple more than a few drinks with a few of them in various temples of propriety on the Hill. We had great debates, many laughs and a few agreements over the years. I've not only kept in contact with some, I've also done some corporate and charitable work with them and I've had the fortune to attend some weddings and baptisms and the misfortune to attend some untimely funerals.

We were opponents, not enemies. We were friends, not allies.

It was such a friend that called this morning to chortle that Obama had a brand new Nobel to add to his grand list of accomplishments. I was such an opponent to chuckle that Obama had no accomplishments even with a Nobel, but we both stopped the funnin' when Brad Woodhouse's name was uttered by me.

Something along the lines of, "Oh Lord. What has he stepped in this time." came across my phone line.

"I'm a terrorist which is something to add to being called a Nazi, unAmerican and racist, but now it's official as it came from Woodhouse as a spokesman for the DNC," I replied.

I continued, "This clown could write for a tabloid and have more credibility, but a lot of people not part of this fight are going to be pretty p*ssed off when they hear they are Hamas and Taliban."

Having a brand new telephone I knew the line had'nt gone dead, so I closed with an offer to send him the link. We closed. I sent. Haven't heard a word since.

Pelosi weeps when she brings up Democrats murduring each other in California to point out how unjust political rhetoric has become when people standing up for what they think is right only to be called unAmerican. Reid gets all pugnacious when people mention he's being a jerk and Howie Dean gets all puppy eyed right after he states he hates Republicans and all they stand for.

This isn't governance, this is a bully convention in a school play yard filled with 10 year old children playing the part of politicians. I apologize to all 10 year old children except the one down the street.

Well, Mr. Woodhouse, I am not Hamas nor am I Taliban. No, I am not a Nazi or a racist. I detest all of them and want to see them wiped off the face of the earth. You, sir, engender them. You lift them up. You give them all existence.

Mr. Woodhouse, you are a moron and the new leadership in your Party do us all disservice. You all do not just disservice to America, but also the ideal of America.

If you ever call me Hamas or Taliban to my face Mr. Woodhouse, I will knock you stone cold out onto the floor and spit on you before I walk away.

I hope there are enough good people left at the DNC that will lock you out and throw your office contents in the trash.

I Was A Teenage Terrorist!

"Allah Akbar" were the baby's first words. "Jihad" followed within minutes of birth and by the first feeding he had become one with the Mujahid.

'I was 12 when I was arrested and sent to Guantanamo'...
“It was a jail and I wasn’t happy there — I didn’t feel very good,” he said, shrugging his shoulders. “They threatened me a little. I will tell all of this tomorrow.”

Some human rights activists accept the Pentagon’s assertion that Mr Jawad was 16 or 17 when arrested. But they also say that it could take years for him to recover from the trauma of being detained in such a way for so many of his formative years.

His mother, when asked about terror victim's formative years, remained silent as she checked for bumps on the back of his head.

He will be detained on orders of the village elders until they release him to study, possibly, in the US.

"No problem."

The Many Hats Of Hatless Joe Biden

As Vice President, Joe Biden Will Be Central to Barack Obama's Administration
Biden will serve as an éminence grise and senior counselor to the new commander in chief from Day 1 and won't be relegated to the role of fill-in at funerals and odd man out in policy discussions.

"Biden will be especially instrumental in helping on the urgent foreign policy matters,"

Biden, who turns 66 on November 20, is also expected to help coordinate decision making on foreign policy inside the labyrinth of the executive branch, making sure that Obama's wishes are respected and his preferences enforced.

The Washington Post writes about Biden’s role in the hunt for a new Supreme Court justice. “With President Obama filling his first high court vacancy with the retirement of Justice David H. Souter, Vice President Biden finds himself regularly consulting with the president and fielding queries from the White House counsel and others for insights on the process.

For Biden, No Portfolio but the Role of a Counselor
“But I think his fundamental role is as a trusted counselor. I think that when Obama selected him, he selected him to be a counselor and an adviser on a broad range of issues.”

Analysis: Biden's role is filling gaps and taking shots
In choosing Sen. Joe Biden, Obama got what he described as a "scrappy kid from Scranton" -- a battle-tested politician whose job will be to help fill perceived gaps in Obama's résumé and serve as Sen. John McCain's chief critic.

An Obama aide says that Biden will be charged with helping to explain to the "American people where Obama comes from, and what his vision is for the country," as well as lay out "the choice in this election."

Biden To Shrink VP Role Big Time
“He’s been very clear about that from the start that he was not going to take a portfolio in particular areas,” the transition official familiar with Biden’s role said. Biden would “be available widely and broadly to offer his advice on whatever hard questions the president was trying to decide.”

One area that seems to be shaping up as a Biden emphasis is labor policy. Thea Lee, assistant director of public policy at AFL-CIO, says she has gotten strong indications from “various sources” in the Obama transition that Biden will be a point-person for their concerns.

Biden recently shared the stage with homeland-security designee Janet Napolitano to be briefed on a report on weapons of mass destruction, a possible hint at how he will operate in office.

And in a small shift, Biden has expressed interest in bringing back the Al Gore tradition of hosting an annual Halloween party for the press corps at the vice presidential residence. Those parties did not continue under Cheney.

After Jabs at Cheney, Biden Pursues an Activist Role
Vice President Joe Biden, in a bid to become an influential second-in-command, is striving to carve out meaty roles for himself quickly.

In an East Room ceremony on Friday with President Barack Obama, Mr. Biden is launching a task force to work on social and economic policies aimed at helping the struggling middle class. He's selling the giant stimulus package on Capitol Hill, and schmoozing his former colleagues during workouts in the congressional gym. Next week, Mr. Biden heads to Munich for an international security conference, in a bid to repair relations with European countries.

"The vice president sees his job as counselor-in-chief. He doesn't want to be limited to a portfolio, but will take specific tasks with specific goals like the middle-class task force."

Obama’s motives hazy for Biden’s role on spending
When President Barack Obama tapped Vice President Joe Biden to oversee a massive federal spending program, it was unclear whether he was aiming to give Biden a serious portfolio, or something to keep him out of trouble.

Biden Finds a Role
When Obama announced that Biden was the top enforcer for how the stimulus bill would be spent and accounted for, it wasn't exactly confidence-inducing. "Nobody messes with Joe," Obama said in his congressional address. When you are the kind of person nobody messes with, it should be self-evident.

Insider vs. Outsider: Cheney, Biden Walk Very Different Paths in Vice Presidency
But since then, Biden has slipped back into the background, delivering a few commencement speeches, officiating at a groundbreaking ceremony for the start of his "Road to Recovery" tour, and apparently not being part of the inner circle on foreign policy -- the field of expertise that was the basis for his selection.

Biden to take new role overseeing Iraq policy
Biden would work with Iraqis "toward overcoming their political differences and achieving the type of reconciliation that we all understand has yet to fully take place but needs to take place."

How does Joe find enough time to offer his long line of expertise? Maybe he can focus on just one.

mRed Fascist Bilderberger Supporter Of Kasich

This race is shaping up to be a war between the New York financiers that screwed this country out of trillions, i.e. John Kasich fascist supporters, and the Washington socialists that have allowed the New York financiers to screw this country, i.e. Ted Strickland leftist supporters, and with no one supporting Ohio. Wonderful!

I've been screwed because nobody ever told me I was a Washington socialite and a New York financier. Probably the Bildenberg guys couldn't find me because I was in a stinking cut rate apartment without a phone doing another campaign and dummy me for not realizing selling derivatives was a crime and all of those rich bastards on Wall Street should be regulated down to their chow time by the federal government. Who knew Waxman was the real conservative?

Oh well, maybe I'll get a decent drone position in the NWO. I mean if I'm Fascist enough.

Will I get my own midnight black helicopter? With symbols?

This is childish name calling like you'd normally see over at the democratic underground.

How Desperate is PM Gordon Brown?

Feel the love and the pain of labour. I hope Obama doesn't get hickies.

OMAHA BEACH, FRANCE: BRIT PM BROWN DECLARES 'OBAMA BEACH' IN D-DAY TRUBUTE SPEECH...

My father, God rest his soul, as a WW II veteran would have puked hearing this. How low a bad expense report can bring one. Brown is aptly named.

Obama Beach indeed. What an insult to the brave soldiers who fought, died and won there.

Of course, Obama loves to say that politics, and 'fighting for the poor' is pure politics in Chicago, is a blood sport, but Obama was a soldier who tasked himself with sensing which way the wind blew just before a fight. Maybe Brown, himself a proven man of valor, should've stuck his wet fat finger in the air a little earlier.

No Woman For Supreme Court

No woman, no black, no white, no latino, no oriental, no martian.

Practical politico, and woman, sought for court

The nominee should be a person that is precisely 5'5" and a half, black hair, green eyes, with a slight lisp, wears no natural fiber clothing, owns a cur and a cat, drives a 1972 Pinto, has never riden a mule in the Grand Canyon, once did volunteer work at the Mustang Ranch, has had at least one known acquaintence without a STD and is at least 3 years delinquent on all of their taxes to prove once and for all that liberals never use quotas, just friends.

Troofers For Osama

Dutch TV show exonerates Osama bin Laden
A Dutch TV jury has found Osama bin Laden not guilty of the Sept. 11 attacks.

I love these people. The more serious they are, the more entertaining they are. The article itself is just standard shtick, but the real fun stuff is in the comments.

1. FredW comments:
April 10, 2009
Several of the films made about 9-11 show that Bin Lauden in fact did not claim responsibllity for the attacks and that the films and where he appears to do so are crude fabrications. Some of the other "evidence" for his involvement, such as the cellphone call (there was only one) about arabs with box cutters and the video of Mohamed Atta at the airport have also been shown to be fakes. For reference, listen to any recent talk on youtube by David Ray Griffin.

FredW is on this like white on rice. No doubt the thousands of FBI/NSA/CIA/WHATEVER midgets setting the charges to blow up the buildings and holding toy airliners in the sky wore stealth cloaking devices so none of us could see them. Our government is ingenious that way.

God Causes Global Warming

It's come down to this. Yes, God created all creatures and now they, pigs, cows, humans, and you name it, cause global warming.

Burping Worms May Contribute to Climate Change
Aquatic animals that feed on lake and stream bottom sediments burp out small amounts of nitrous oxide, a potent greenhouse gas, a new study finds.

Why don't the worms, spewing gas about man made, nee angler's beauties, global warming, climate change or whatever, take it up with God? He listens to all, but as my grandfather told me, he doubted that He suffered fools glady.

Leahy's Dishonest Fishing Trip To End Run Executive Privilege

Of course this is from AP and they inadvertently put the lie to Leahy's words.

Sen. Leahy proposes truth panel on Bush era abuses
The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee is proposing a "truth commission" to investigate abuses of detainees, politically inspired moves at the Justice Department, and whole range of decisions made during the Bush administration.

Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., said the primary goal of the commission would be to learn the truth rather than prosecute former officials, but said the inquiry should reach far beyond misdeeds at the Justice Department under Bush to include matters of Iraq prewar intelligence and the Defense Department.

Leahy outlined his suggestion for a "truth and reconciliation" commission during a speech at Georgetown University Monday.

"I'm doing this not to humiliate people or punish people but to get the truth out," he said.

I think it would be a great idea if we, the people, had a "truth and reconciliation" commission to investigate Congress and its corruption, its lies, its collusion and its abuses. Maybe we could start with all the Democrats that voted for the Iraq War, listing WMDs as a main reason to go in, but now have ads up, have put in print and publicly say that even though they saw the same intelligence that Bush lied.

Then there are so many more issues like the abuse of appliances by members like Freezer Jefferson or the activities in love pads all over DC like the White House and anyplace Barney Frank has lived.

This is not to humiliate people or to punish them but to get the truth out. Of course some like to be punished and other aren't capable of being humiliated.
