Historical Revisionism Or Standardized Liberal Lies About American History Hurting Students

Anne Foley, the principal at Kennedy School in Somerville, Mass., sent an email to teachers warning them about celebrating Thanksgiving [sic], the Boston Herald reported,

"When we were young we might have been able to claim ignorance of the atrocities that Christopher Columbus committed against the indigenous peoples," Kennedy School Principal Anne Foley wrote.

"We can no longer do so. For many of us and our students celebrating this particular person is an insult and a slight to the people he annihilated. On the same lines, we need to be careful around the Thanksgiving Day time as well."

Teachers have already been told not to let students dress up for Halloween.

Historical revisionism is a fancy phrase for lying. If the principle of a school claims ignorance of the above lies she is either a liar or she is a very poor scholar.

Religion Saving Society, Poor Atheists Not

Community based on tradition has always been the foundation of successful societies. Religion has been the rock upon the which the common weal succeeds. In recent decades this has been under attack, very successfully, and now we find ourselves in the midst of a society that props up mediocrity and funds total failure and that society points to their result as the need to do more of it. Failure has become a government program and it will grow as the failure of government at all levels grows.

Now we find that it is not the traditionalists that are ignorant, but those that say they are.

Reports have been coming in about teachers nationwide involved in cheating on students tests and test scoring. Georgia's then Gov Sonny Perdue didn't believe the internal school district whitewash and ordered a full investigation. The findings are shocking and "investigations" in the other state should be reopened to find if there are other scandals this pernicious, especially now as we have to endure teachers and their unions scream that collective bargaining is really just for the children.

The headline asks the question and yes, educators should be jailed for long sentences for robbing children of their future. This is a crime that denied education, but also taught students that it is okay to cheat, get passed on without merit and that lying is the norm of adults.

The investigation should also extend to education and union leaders that say that testing made them do it. They aren't worthy of the honor of being called teacher and are actually common liars and thieves. Throw away the key.

Federal Court Rules Racism To Continue

I remember back when I was doing research while working in DC I came across some startling figures about race, race relations and "help" from the federal government. Prior to interference by the federal government the rate for illegitimate birth was about 12% by white mothers with a much lower rate for black mothers. Upon further research I learned that this was due to a strong family and church bond existed in black communities and that was the rub because blacks lived in black communities. When I suggested that living in adversity made those bonds stronger which in turn made the bond between families and church, ergo morality, stronger. I was thoroughly excoriated by my client who had a different finding in mind. he wanted to highlight that after 20 some years of federal help the percentage of illegitimate births among black women was then twice that of white women. I quit.

A few months later I had the great honor to spend a few hours with the economist Dr. Walter Williams. As a young man, I was hoping to impress Dr. Williams with knowledge and brought up my thoughts concerning blacks, federal help and the decline of the family. Dr. Williams quickly proved me way wrong as he pointed out that my snippet of information was, but a small part of how the federal government was destroying blacks, indians and all minorities. I still remember him spitting out that the federal government was filled with liberal do-gooders that were the most racist pricks in the world (the good doctor had a tart vocabulary). He went on to describe the destruction of the black economy, the black family and the destruction of blacks as individuals through "help" from the government.

On the subject of blacks and education, let's just say he said that, blacks (and whites) were being taught some serious poppycock that was making them less productive and less intelligent. He, being an educator, made me feel this was the most egregious of the racist and wrongs of all the sins of federal "help."

This racism, a soft version of low expectations and an intimation of inability on the part of blacks is still alive and well and is still ensconced in the minds of liberals.

Will it be a brave new world that so many people are afraid of or will it be a nightmare that so many people expect? The only brave new world that I have read about was the founding of the United States of America. I read of nightmares all the time whether it is quick and simple genocide or a long journey into darkness. Nations allowing, even paying for the murder of future generations, or the introduction of new values that destroy historical and current societal successes have become a hallmark of "progress" in our world.

Sweden has chosen a slow and painful journey into darkness which may herald the end of culture in which children learn how to become good and productive adults. Sweden has decided to lessen culture through efforts that include "Nearly all the children's books deal with homosexual couples, single parents or adopted children. There are no "Snow White," "Cinderella" or other classic fairy tales seen as cementing stereotypes.

No mother and father. No good morals. No real life representations, only the fairy tales of petty social engineers who would fail at any other basic task that may be performed by sane individuals. Children become their petri dish for experimentation much as the unborn have become so for restive progressives wanting to more quickly project their sick ideas on society here in America.

That these unelected leaders are allowed to irreversibly destroy society is a problem for adults. That adults allow these bottom feeders to destroy children is unforgivable.

Good people are sick of these losers hoping to force their ideas on society. They should be rejected from positions of authority and any other position that influences people and society.

Hell, they should be rejected from and by society. They're sick.

Nationally we are so very lucky to have cafeteria enforcers who dictate what is eaten which is part of the program to get children, at a very early age, to accept government intervention in their lives as a natural progression of politics in America.

God have mercy on the Japanese suffering, but Higher Ed doesn't want the dead to waste their deadness so they are just borrowing them for a little lesson-pep talk and a fundraiser.

The Democrat Party of Wisconsin has already disowned the statement about collective bargaining being the reason that Wisconsin scores better on the ACT/SAT. They should because it is totally bogus piece of research.

Case in point: Paul Krugman. The Times' staff economics blowhard recently typed, re the state of education in Texas:

After we contacted the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, Melissa Baldauff, the party’s research director, wrote us to say that "after further investigation, we determined that the data was not the most up-to-date. Accordingly, we have removed the post from our Facebook page."

The five states that outlaw collective bargaining for teachers all rank below 44th in the nation in test scores, while Wisconsin ranks 2nd.

Ultimately, the Facebook post uses outdated data based on a questionable methodology. A review using current data finds that Wisconsin does perform better on test scores than the non-union states, but not as dramatically as suggested in the Facebook post. And there is at best limited evidence that unionization played a causal role in shaping differences in test scores. We rate the statement False.

What Does Bias Look Like?

Those people offered their own alternate theories, which boiled down to:

Megan McArdle has had a very interesting couple of posts on bias as practiced by liberals. I have a large contingent of family members who are professors and I, because of my work, have spent a good amount of time guest speaking at high schools and colleges. The arrogance, especially ideological arrogance, is really quite astounding.

I was once informed that my speaking to a senior civics class was so Neanderthal-like that it took the teacher a week to undo the damage I had done. It seemed that some of the students had never heard that the Civil War was not, as they had been taught, really just the "war to free the slaves" nor was there a constitutional authority to create a hyper-equal citizen that should or does receive extra special consideration under the law.

The second time I spoke at that school other teachers attended the class I was speaking with to "correct" me when I spoke heretical thoughts. It was quite a lot of fun as they had no real basic knowledge of history, law and the constitution. They just had relative outta-be thoughts and their thoughts of what people such as the Founding Fathers were really thinking as they formed our nation (think the dead white rich guy scthtick). Now they just avoid me when I speak. Well, I should say mostly they avoid me because I have become friendly with some, who while still disagreeing with me, like to speak or debate with me outside of the classroom setting. We have fun and I have learned from them. I hope I have imparted so thoughts that they have thought more about.

McArdle focused on the academic world, but it made think of life in general and specifically politics. I believe her list of points could be a liberal list of what is wrong with conservative voters.

He added that "this same mean-spirited xenophobia played a major role in the defeat of the Dream Act by our legislators in Washington, leaving many exceptionally talented and deserving young people, including our undocumented students, painfully in limbo."

There should be no limbo. If they are undocumented, ie illegal, their cases should move forward expeditiously with the help of Berkeley's chancellor and his nifty staff. Then deport them.

I hope this gentle person from Berkeley knows that I am not being hateful. Nor am I mimicking his peers who use hateful and violent language against those who disagree with them.

I am sure that he has rules at his establishment. I am sure he knows that the United States of America has rules. In fact he may have heard them called laws.

If he wants to encourage and reward people who knowingly break the law and he assists them he might also want to be aware that aiding and abetting a criminal in an act of crime is a crime in and of itself.

If he is not aware of this then he is stupid which makes him wholly qualified to be the Chancellor of Berkeley. But that doesn't mean anyone cares a whit what he thinks or says. And that's not discrimination, it's an observation.
