Obama kept stating that Republicans were getting bogged down in process, how the bill will be accomplished, and not addressing the needs of the public. That is a perfect example of The Art of the Lie.
The process is the important factor in this debate. I would humbly suggest that they should start with whether this idea is even constitutional. But, it should also be discussed whether coercion, bribes and shutting Republican ideas out is a good process for legislation and voting on it and whether is it good for the people.
The process is important when our elected officials are attempting to decide legislation that will forever alter America away from open markets, capitalism and freedom to choose. A classic example is Prohibition. Though well meant, at least to those totally unaware of human nature, Prohibition was not just a disaster, it was stupid, killed people and built the largest organized crime groups in world history.

No, sir, it’s not about being pro growth and pro jobs nor is it about smart government. It is about who makes decisions, you, or a free people. If you’re so smart and so persuasive, then raise capital and put it at risk. If you succeed you’ll both become fabulously wealth and serve society, the poor most of all. If, as is certain in this case, you fail miserably, then you’ll at least be out of our way and you won’t be able to hurt the poor any more than you already have.

UAW/GM/GOVT Conflict Of Interest With Toyota
Okay, you've got a trash facility you want to build, so you contribute big to your old friend the mayor's campaign and hire a council member to do work for you in the build up to the vote on your trash plant that the citizens overwhelmingly don't want...... and isn't legal under the law. So, change the focus onto something else and make sure everyone knows your facility is a "green" recycling center while the old one isn't. Time to get the state ethics board involved. In a race to the bottom of the bile, the 9th circuit court has decided a christian group on the campus of UC Hastings College of Law is acting illegally by demanding that voting members of the group act Christian.

Scott Brown And Voinovich Vote For Reid's 'Jobs' Bill
Two other Republicans, Collins and Snowe of Maine, did so as well, but Ben Nelson (D) of Nebraska voted against it.
Brown stated he was he was an 'independent' voice. Yeah, right. Just like Obama, he appears to have misled the voters. Cryin' George Voinovich, Collins and Snowe have become known for letting their states and the country down on a regular basis.
The fact that they did so for a stripped down bill that can't possible do what it is supposed to do is one problem. The fact that Reid changed the bill and froze out Republicans is another problem. The third, and most important problem, is that these three make what Reid/Obama/Pelosi are doing to America a bi-partisan effort.
Welcome to the 'dumber than a box of rocks' club Scott. You've squandered any good will in an amazingly fast way.

“Chicago Mafia” - Idealists And Hacks And The Cult Of Political Novices

How about the ChiTown rookies believe themselves the "Chicago Mafia" and being from Chicago they think it is cute and gives them gravitas.
It is painful to watch an administration so paralyzed from the top down with, needless what Mr. Tingles thinks, Democrats sniping at each other and undermining their President. It is more painful for a fairly homogeneous nation that is losing all faith in our leadership because the leadership has so deeply missed why they were elected.
Jobs? Yes. Health care reform? Not before jobs. Climate care? Not really then and definitely not now. Card check? Not a chance. In short, Obama and ilk thought he was the one whose vision for America would alter and transform America.
America does not wish to be transformed, especially at the price tag that these naive dreamers would exact. To add insult to injury, the administration condescends, their allies in the press openly lie to cover for the administration, and their 'intellectual' counterparts writing on the Internet say that Americans are too stupid to understand issues. These people must be super-Americans, having been produced by America, but are too ignorant to understand that they are calling America stupid but not themselves.
Short of feeling annointed, Obama and friends actually believe their vision of Hope and Change won over America while other dissenting Democrats "realize" the Americans voted against George W. Bush. Neither realize the vote by independents was against the rancor of the Bush years. Rancor that Democrats spread across the streets, state capitals and in the capital of the United States of America. This was from the beginning a formula for disaster.
Is there a shortcut back to the political center for these people. Possibly, but I think they are incapable of achieving it because they're still drinking their own bath water and think it is ambrosia.
America voted itself a loser who won through false advertising and bravado unseen in American politics and the world was oh so proud of Americans for being enlightened. Now that America has seen the contents of the package they bought, they are rejecting it, and the world and our own "intellectuals" are oh so disappointed that we are so stupid.
America will spend much time and money repairing what this administration and its allies in Congress have already done to us, but we will get it done. It is the American way to right wrongs and what is currently being done to America is wrong.

But if you knew him, really knew the complicated, enormously gruff but deeply compassionate man (oh, how he hated it when his big heart showed in public), risen from the textile mill town of Kannapolis, N.C., with a ninth-grade education . . . if you really knew him, then Ralph Dale Earnhardt was so very, very human, so deeply of the commonfolk who loved him.

Progressive Criminals Are Another Person's Terrorists
Cheney Admits He's A War Criminal
That's the headline over at Progress Ohio. Their 'scoop' is based on Section 2340A of the federal criminal code. Below are the pertinent parts of the interview in which VP Cheney "admitted" he broke said section of the criminal code:
CHENEY: Well, I don't think so, in a sense that it -- if it -- if you interpret that as taking you to the point where all of these people are going to be treated as though they're guilty of individual criminal acts.
I want to come back again to the basic point I tried to make at the outset, John. And up until 9/11, all terrorist attacks were criminal acts. After 9/11, we made the decision that these were acts of war, these were strategic threats to the United States.
Once you make that judgment, then you can use a much broader range of tools, in terms of going after your adversary. You go after those who provide them safe harbor and sanctuary. You go after those who finance and those who provide weapons for them and those who train them. And you treat them as unlawful enemy combatants.
There's a huge distinction here in terms of the kinds of policies you put in place going forward. And what I'm most concerned about isn't so much argument about all the stuff in the past, about what happened to Abdulmutallab or Richard Reid. I think the relevant point is: What are the policies going to be going forward?
And if you're really serious and you believe this is a war and if you believe the greatest threat is a 9/11 with nukes or a 9/11 with a biological agent of some kind, then you have to consider it as a war, you have to consider it as something we may have to deal with tomorrow. You don't want the vice president of the United States running around saying, "Oh, it's not likely to happen."

But think again, because these aid rats are experts at survival.
FrontPage magazine reports that federal Judge Nina Gershon ruled that Acorn is eligible for the Obama administration's proposed $4 billion in Housing and Urban Development grants within the $3.83 trillion federal budget proposal for 2011.
That cancels the ban Congress placed on Acorn funding late last year after at least five of the group's offices willingly aided undercover reporters posing as a pimp and prostitute to get federal funding for a brothel and cheat on their taxes.
Once again, the Democrats are all robe, no law. As with all their other hollow "change", they have decided upon a duplicitous show of doing something that was never intended by them.

Even More Snow For Ohio
Yep, we're getting more snow. The yard is still pretty from already fallen snow, but the streets are dirty and the curbs are piled high with mounds of plowed snow, especially in front of my driveway. The roads and highways are hiding patches of ice that won't go away.

He believes man has raped and plundered the earth, kinda like Jimmy and the Doors sang about years ago, and now the earth is striking back with global warming. This, as we watched snow falling outside. Me, I am not a believer in Mother Gia or whatever our planet is being called now, but I am a believer in climate change because I've witnessed it all my life.
As a child, my friends and I reveled in snow from pretty much Thanksgiving to March. Kinda like this year. As an adult, I'd like the snow to appear two days before Christmas, with notice thank you, and then go back to Hudson Bay or where ever it comes from, by December 27 at the latest.
As a child, I would hop in the car and go with my father to the latest area destroyed by tornadoes. Sometimes it was a hurt farmer with a missing barn and sometimes it was half or all of a village or town destroyed with tremendous amounts of death, destruction and injuries. As an adult, tornadoes are rare here in central Ohio, which is fine by me. That is climate change I can believe in. Of course, because of the threats of lawsuits and other modern conveniences, my father, if alive, couldn't even think of actually going to the people hurt and dying, even if he could get through the throngs of lawyers desperately vying for clients to sue someone.

Obama: To Hell With The People-I'll Tax & Spend All I Want

For over $900 million in subsidies, chump change to Obamanites, we get heavily subsidized electricity from wind. Less than 13% of our need and only in targeted areas.
People here in Ohio are hueing and crying for Strickland to do something, in fact anything not embarrassing, and have hued and cried for wind power above the 25% clean energy bill. That's 25% too much.
Generation sites that destroy the land around them, drive off wildlife and create widespread maintinence areas and roads. Forty-story wind turbines. Fan-blade shadow flicker. Red strobe lights in the night sky instead of stars. As an added bonus wind power generation sites create a constant low resonance hum that makes people crazy. We've got enough crazies.
How about the guv save a lot of jobs here in Ohio, say with clean coal or natural gas or, let's go out on a limb here, oil? How about some safe, quiet and nonpolluting nuclear power?

Many have questioned why Democrats would doggedly continue on with a bill, overwhelmingly rejected by the public, which could result in massive losses for Democrats in the upcoming elections. It now appears that health care reform was never the actual goal, but simply a tool used to distract voters away from a massive government takeover of the economy and their long sought goal of federally funded abortions nationwide.
Health care reform is the sugar coating on the bitter pill of government control of individuals.
How else does one explain the deceitful legislative trickery, outright bribes and total refusal by Democrats to listen to their constituents to pass such a travesty?

"In comments reported by Congress Daily, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s top health care aide Wendell Primus admitted top Democrats have already decided on the strategy to pass the Senate's pro-abortion, government-run health care bill.
'The trick in all of this is that the president would have to sign the Senate bill first, then the reconciliation bill second, and the reconciliation bill would trump the Senate bill,' Primus said at the National Health Policy Conference hosted by Academy Health and Health Affairs.
“'There's a certain skill, there's a trick, but I think we'll get it done,' he said."
Democrats hope to get the bill passed and signed by Obama so that super majority votes are not necessary thus giving endangered Democrats an out on any future legislative voting. Under this plan each vote will only need 50% + one and will prevent Republicans from filibustering (preventing) passage of very controversial amendments.
Who are the Democrats who will stand and say 'No', this wrong and unethical and I won't be part of it? Will Zack Space allow the subversion of our Constitution? Will Stupak be part of the thwarting of the will of the people? Who will speak out the truth of what Pelosi, Reid and Obama are doing?
I fear cowards will prevail and in their salons clap each other on the backs for fighting the good fight and then go home and count their bribes.

Unions Use 'Slush' Funds To Elect Dems And Trash Americans
The war against the Tea Party movement is wholly funded by unions and their war room is in a lawyer's office in Washington DC.300 M Street, Suite 1102 is the law office of Joseph Sandler, a longtime general counsel to the Democratic National Committee. From this office millions of dollars of union members (some of which object to this) flows to help Democrats get elected. campaigning against other views and to push union legislation such as card check in an obvious quid pro quid with the Obama Administration and the Democratic Party. It is unethical and dishonest, but they claim it is legal.
Outside of that firm, the center of their activity appears to be a single office in Southeast D.C. -- 300 M Street, Suite 1102 -- which plays host to a sprawling political shell game they have established.
Public records show at least seven political shops listed in Suite 1102, most of which are essentially clones of one another, but all of which have offered money -- from measly thousands to game-changing millions -- in state-level elections across the country:
The APPC, which developed the anti-tea party ads, has gotten all of its money for 2010 from Patriot Majority and from Citizens for Progress, which is also called Patriot Majority West.
Patriot Majority West sent them $25,000 in January, and Patriot Majority added another $5,000. The groups, both run by Varoga and Rakis, also swap hundreds of thousands of dollars between themselves, money often buttressed by gifts from Patriot Majority Midwest, seen above as the Oklahoma Freedom Fund.

Ron Paul And Things I Wish I Had Missed
The Ron Paul rEvolution is till there, unfortunately. Now they're kicking things up a notch in their effort to isolate America and prevent us from protecting ourselves. They've become better dressed anti war hippies for today's generation. That they may cripple us and help kill our soldiers abroad doesn't seem to be a connect for them. Nor do they see a connect with the America hating left, but sometimes a political movement just has an agenda to raise money that is being driven by a tin ear.

I have long maintained that too much governmental bureaucracy is a grave problem for the United States. That large sections of government, including state and local ones, are now part of unions, collective bargaining and threats to the smooth function of government only makes this problem even worse.

Obama and his party are acting in collusion with unions that contributed something like $400,000,000 to Democrats in the 2008 campaign cycle. Public-sector unionism tends to be a self-perpetuating machine that extracts money from taxpayers and then puts it on a conveyor belt to the Democratic party.

Seems that Sarah Palin writing notes on her hand has some people convinced that she is a cheat. I have a friend who has always written phone numbers, notes and reminders on her left hand. Now, as a successful business woman, she still does.

Doing a simple search brings up Palin supposedly cheating in various ways or maybe her husband cheating or maybe her body parts cheating or maybe someone connected to her cheating, quite possibly in league with her. This type of poll is at least two layered in that it plants ideas in the polled persons minds and when the desired result is obtained the poll can then be used a propaganda by the person paying for the poll.
Ann Althouse delves into the veracity of the poll. That is good to do because the Kos poll results are crap. Kos know it, the media knows it and any thinking person knows it, but many will report it as fact. For Kos, a master of media manipulation, it is a win-win. Some will believe while others will be driven to Kos' site.

This number is actually significantly lower than it was in a similar question from Public Policy Polling (D) back in November, which said that 52% of Republicans thought ACORN stole it. So does this mean Obama is gaining ground among Republicans? As it is, only just over 20% of Republicans will say that Obama actually won the election.

Ah, To Have Such A Statesman Today

Indicator Of Ohio's Demise
When people leave and take their money and patronage with them, it is an indicator of deep problems whether it is a small business or big business. When business goes elsewhere, well, then somebody has screwed the pooch big time.

Unfortunately this cannot all be blamed on Democrats, unions and their allies in poaching the public purse.
Remember Bob Taft? Remember state elected Republicans and those in Washington as they emulated Democrats? Yep, they were spending our money like drunks in a Tijuana whorehouse with no repercussions or remorse.
