The Left Rewrites Economic History To Continue Blaming Bush

The left, desperate to maintain and grow its power, has rewritten history and economics to blame Bush for Obama's dismal failure as president, especially his economic record of failure. Unfortunately for the left none but their hardcore kool aid drinkers, are buying their alter reality.
If anything, the analysis is overly generous to President Obama because: (1) it assigns full responsibility for Fiscal Year 2009 to President Bush, despite the enactment by Obama of the stimulus, higher domestic appropriations and an expansion of TARP spending during that year; and (2) it gives Obama credit for the policies he intends to enact for the rest of his presidency, since we cannot judge his actual future record. The graphic compares the records of these two presidents based on the deficits, revenues and spending incurred by the federal government on their watch, expressed as a percentage of GDP.

The left will continue to lie about the economy and the history of deficits because to them facts are interchangeable whenever necessary to win elections. Whenever is now.

UPDATE: For mathmatically challenged leftists here is another picture that is easy to read and someone has already colored it so you can focus on the facts.

And another pretty picture to gaze at:

How did Mr. Nutting come up with this trickeration and mathematical sleight of hand?  He attributes all of the 2009 spending (except the Stimulus) to Bush instead of Obama and he uses the year to year percent increases as his comparison metric.
It is true that the government spending of the president’s first year in office is mostly approved by the previous president but Obama supported and voted for the Tarp spending and he didn’t try to reign in any of this spending during 2009.  Obama actually wanted a larger stimulus in 2009 (to the tune of an additional $1 trillion) so that hardly sounds like someone who is austere and wanted to keep the US on a tight budget.  So attributing the spending of 2009 to Obama is completely fair in my book.

Obama wanted to spend another trillion dollars on top of what he wasted already. Wow, what austerity!

Democrat Voter Fraud Isn't A Problem! Except When It Is.

Florida election authorities are examining about 180,000 people who they say may not be U.S. citizens but are registered to vote in the state, an official said on Friday.

A state that decided a presidential election by 500 votes. Of course, I'm sure this is bi-partisan fraud... Oh, having voters prove they are eligible to vote is RACIST! Just ask Indiana Chicago ACORN Wisconsin Massachusetts Obama.

I Am So Sick Of This Cowboy President

Frankly, I’m sick of this cowboy president who struts his testosterone with statements like, “I don’t bluff.” Hell, when you’ve got a standing army and secret service guys protecting you it’s easy being a loudmouth. He gets a thrill out killing people, shooting missiles and drones and acting like a war criminal. He keeps possibly innocent people in an illegal prison at Guantanamo, targets peaceful mosques with belligerent acts and then tries to hide behind his lawyers. He has all of his rich pals to give him money and special deals to make him even richer as his wife lords over the White House like some queen. And then they go to hang out with their elite friends in their fancy resort houses eating and drinking like royalty and forget how much people are hurting. I’m so damned tired of Bush and his cronies I could puke. Oh, wait…

Still George’s Fault

From I Own The World

Damn that George Bush, it’s all his fault.

He broke Obama’s promise to put all bills on the White House web site for five days before signing them.

He broke Obama’s promise to have the congressional health care negotiations broadcast live on C-SPAN.

He broke Obama’s promise to end earmarks.

He broke Obama’s promise to keep unemployment from rising above 8 percent.

He broke Obama’s promise to close the detention center at Guantanamo in the first year.

He broke Obama’s promise to make peace with direct, no precondition talks with America ‘s most hate-filled enemies during his first year in office, ushering in a new era of global cooperation.

He broke Obama’s promise to end the hiring of former lobbyists into high White House jobs.

He broke Obama’s promise to end no-compete contracts with the government.

He broke Obama’s promise to disclose the names of all attendees at closed White House meetings.

He broke Obama’s promise for a new era of bipartisan cooperation in all matters.

He broke Obama’s promise to have chosen a home church to attend Sunday services with his family by Easter of last year.

Yes, it’s all George Bush’s fault. President Obama is nothing more than a puppet in the never-ending failed Bush administration.

Pelosi's Lies, Damned Lies & Statistics

Nana is up to it again. She can't help herself. Once a Baltimore street politico always a Baltimore street politico.

This from her street corner website (now being altered).

Only problem, it is a fabrication which is a nice way to say a lie. This hasn't prevented Pelosi from publishing such things even when she's been told that they are a lie. She'll just have staff alter it a bit and move on to the next fabrication

BTW, the real figures are:

Reagan: Up 14.9 percentage points
George H.W. Bush: Up 7.1 percentage points
Clinton: Down 13.4 percentage points
George W. Bush: Up 5.6 percentage points
Obama: Up 21.9 percentage points (through December 2010 only)

Oops, Bush Did Some Things Right. Oh, Noes!

In a death knell to the hypocrites that called Bush a murderer and now point to bin Laden as Obama's manliness it appears that even stalwarts such as the Washington Post, along with Obama, are congratulating Bush for doing the right things in the Greater War on Terror.

Collateral Damage To Anti-Bush Mythology About The Hunt For Bin Laden

Let the wailing begin and watch the haters dredge up articles of their faith from the bottom feeder sites on the Internet as proof, PROOF!, that they are right.

Rice Hands Lawrence O’Donnell His Lunch

As with so many "intellectual" liberals O'Donnell is selective in his memory and philandering in his spewing of smug indignation. How many times will these lies have to be rebutted will only be answered when liberals admit that their liberal representatives in congress saw the same intelligence as the Bush administration and voted with them to invade Iraq. Not that they will ever admit it because if they do their whole basis of moral indignation and feelings of smug superiority will disappear.

Libya: Who Didn't Know What And When Didn't They Know It

Dominoes. Arab world. Why Libya?

Hope and change is happening all over the Arab world and we appear not to have a clue. So what did we not know and when did we not know it?

Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Egypt, Tunisia, Bahrain, and on and on to Libya. It is so easy to ridicule Obama and the left about past statements, insults and accusations demeaning the efforts and goals of the Bush Administration. It's too easy because they spouted off for political reasons which threw reason out the window. The larger question, and more important question, is whether this administration is even aware of what it is doing at the most basic level.

People here cheered for Tunisia and Egypt. They had no idea who was behind the unrest nor did they have a clue about who was pulling the strings of the youthful protesters even as the protesters themselves had no clue. many Republicans were part of the hosanna chorus which is disconcerting, because cheering for uprisings just because on side is ugly doesn't make sense if both sides are ugly and evil. Nobody knew squat about these things and it appears they still don't.

The Law of Unintended Consequences is in full force here,  "Any intervention in a complex system may or may not have the intended result, but will inevitably create unanticipated and often undesirable outcomes".

There are tragedies occurring all over the world at the moment. Look at just about any African region and one will see slaughter, starvation and war. South East Asia is an abattoir at many levels. The degeneration of life itself continues unnoticed in China and Russia. The Middle East is a disaster just waiting to get worse, but we decide to add Libya to our list of wars.

I believe our interventions in Iraq and Afghanistan made good sense on many levels, but most importantly geopolitical reasons including the potential of a two front assault if Iran, the bat crap crazy in the neighborhood, decided to flex its muscle. Is there some parallel with Egypt, Israel and Libya or is the Obama Administration just desperate to contain Mali?

If, as reported, Obama only wants a war with Libya be quick as to not interfere with basketball and that some mean old women bullied him into this war, who the hell is in charge. Who is doing the big picture thinking here?

That this administration in incompetent is obvious, but so far they've contained their incompetence to mainly destroying us. Now they want to risk the lives of our armed forces in igniting an explosion of war(s) that could plant the seeds of our own destruction. This type of incompetence is beyond the comprehension of man. It is of a type that only rookies who think they're professionals are capable of embarking upon.

Libya? Really? With France in the lead? What could go wrong with that...

It is so obvious that this administration is merely reacting to events both domestic and foreign and the real thought about Libya should not be about their hypocrisy concerning Bush and Obama, that's shooting fish in a barrel, it should be exactly who didn't know what and when didn't they know it.

It won't resolve anything, but it may help us to never make such a stupendous mistake in the future.

Democratic Underground Hilarity!

It's lonely out there in BDS land, especially when one can't trust fellow travelers BDSers to properly keep the right aura. To alleviate that loneliness there has to be new rules. If you break them it will result in deportation and immediate punishment if found to be back as an illegal alien. No matter what, Obama and Democrats ROCK! Every blessed one of them! Except those that don't rock. Then they just suck. Like Bush. Morons.

NEW HOUSE RULES
{ } Inappropriate attacks against Democrats
– Insults against prominent Democrats, such as “Fuck Obama.”
– Name-calling against prominent Democrats. Calling Barack Obama “Barry” or some other name.
– Repeating Republican partisan attacks against Democrats.
– Broadly suggesting that there is no difference between Barack Obama and George W. Bush, or that there is no difference between Democrats and Republicans. (Arguing that specific policies are the same would be permitted.)
– Suggesting that President Obama has perpetrated a “con job” or “fraud,” or similarly over-the-top assertions of bad faith.
– Advocating voting against Democrats, or in favor of third-party or GOP candidates.
– Broad-brush smears against Democrats generally. Broad expressions of contempt toward Democrats generally.

I got this from This Ain't Hell which is a great blog and on this day gave me a huge chuckle. Thanks.

Progressive Criminals Are Another Person's Terrorists

Cheney Admits He's A War Criminal

That's the headline over at Progress Ohio. Their 'scoop' is based on Section 2340A of the federal criminal code. Below are the pertinent parts of the interview in which VP Cheney "admitted" he broke said section of the criminal code:

CHENEY: Well, I don't think so, in a sense that it -- if it -- if you interpret that as taking you to the point where all of these people are going to be treated as though they're guilty of individual criminal acts.

I want to come back again to the basic point I tried to make at the outset, John. And up until 9/11, all terrorist attacks were criminal acts. After 9/11, we made the decision that these were acts of war, these were strategic threats to the United States.

Once you make that judgment, then you can use a much broader range of tools, in terms of going after your adversary. You go after those who provide them safe harbor and sanctuary. You go after those who finance and those who provide weapons for them and those who train them. And you treat them as unlawful enemy combatants.

There's a huge distinction here in terms of the kinds of policies you put in place going forward. And what I'm most concerned about isn't so much argument about all the stuff in the past, about what happened to Abdulmutallab or Richard Reid. I think the relevant point is: What are the policies going to be going forward?

And if you're really serious and you believe this is a war and if you believe the greatest threat is a 9/11 with nukes or a 9/11 with a biological agent of some kind, then you have to consider it as a war, you have to consider it as something we may have to deal with tomorrow. You don't want the vice president of the United States running around saying, "Oh, it's not likely to happen."
...

CHENEY: Well, I suppose it depends on which battle you're talking about. I won some; I lost some. I can't...

(CROSSTALK)

KARL: ... waterboarding, clearly, what was your...

CHENEY: I was a big supporter of waterboarding. I was a big supporter of the enhanced interrogation techniques that...

KARL: And you opposed the administration's actions of doing away with waterboarding?

CHENEY: Yes.

Clearly a gray area of admission on Cheney's part. Then there is another problem, the enemy combatants were not criminals, they were/are terrorists being held at a military base, thus they did not fall under the federal criminal code of the United States of America. Ooops.

Haiti Bush's Fault

The Obama Administration will be honoring the 43rd President of the United States by naming the gap between the tectonic plates beneath Haiti after him.

The area will now officially be referred to as "Bush's Fault."

God Bless Mr. George W. Bush and President Barack H. Obama

In a spectacle that will be watched around the world we see once again the peaceful transition of power in the United States of America.
.
Barack Obama is now our president and we wish him well. I personally thank George W. Bush for freeing over 50 million people and keeping us safe.

Liberals Already Unhappy With Obama Over Lack Of BDS

On inauguration day some will protest by throwing shoes at the White House. I gather they will have borrowed or stolen the shoes.

Bashers End Bush Era Deflated by Lack of Prosecutions
Bush bashers say they aren't going to let the inauguration of Barack Obama get in the way of their effort to have the president prosecuted on war crimes.

For some die-hards, Tuesday is not a day to hail the arrival of Obama or celebrate Bush's exit.
"I'm not holding out great hopes that he's [Obama] going to change things around," said Laurie Dobson of Kennebunkport, Maine.

Dobson, who unsuccessfully ran as an independent against Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, in 2008, has protested Bush's policies almost from the beginning of his administration. She warned that pressure has to be kept on Obama to take action against the nation's 43rd president.

"People give [Obama] all kinds of excuses because they want so much to believe in him," she said. "That's how they make a tyrant. ... If we do our job as [citizens] then he could be a good president. It all depends on us keeping him in line."

Harold Burbank, an attorney from Canton, Conn., said, "Tuesday is not a day to celebrate."

Obama must be greatly relieved that Ms. Dobson is on the job keeping him in line.
