Having a constitutional scholar in the White House is fabulous, except when it's not. Having a SCOTUS rubber stamp a "popular" constituted law is pretty damned good, except when it's not.



So, ObamaCare is so popular it was passed by big margins? Maybe, Obama thinks it was a bipartisan huge victory with votes as huge as a 57 state margin. In Illinois, Cook County's Department of Dead Motor Vehicle and Voting Rights (CCD DMVVR) was so excited they brought along their friends in 7 additional (and a yet unnamed state) to pass even more "popular" legislation even though they didn't know what was in them.

Obama never named the 58th state, which at the time he still hadn't visited, but it is named the State of Despair and we're living in it.

As Europe Lectured They Took US Bailout Dollars

Americans angry over the bailouts, stimulus funny money and the general "too big too fail" mentality amongst the financial geniuses in Washington will be thrilled to find out that billions of dollars went to Europe. Our banks are being hammered by bad loans pushed on them by Bwarney Frank, Dodd and the other losers in Congress and those banks have failed, lost 100s of millions or have had to hose shareholders, but foreign banks got the bucks even as their governments lectured America on economics.

Now it is time to toss the president and his economic allies in the Senate in the next election. This economic theory isn't a theory anymore, it is a proven disaster from stimulus, cap and trade, bailouts, health care reform and buying huge chunks of corporations to support their buddies the unions.
 
Cut spending by 10%, cut government programs by 10% and fire 25% of bureaucrats including contractors. That'd be a start. In the second round do it it all over again.

Starting in 2011—next year—the W-2 tax form sent by your employer will be increased to show the value of whatever health insurance you are provided. It doesn't matter if you're retired. Your gross income WILL go up by the amount of insurance your employer paid for. So you’ will be required to pay taxes on a larger sum of money than you actually received. Take the tax form you just finished for 2009 and see what $15,000.00 or $20,000.00 additional gross income does to your tax debt. That's what you'll pay next year. For many it puts you into a much higher bracket. This is how the government is going to buy insurance for the fifteen (15) percent that don't have insurance and it's only part of the tax increases, but it's not really a "tax increase" as such, it a redefinition of your taxable income.

Also, go to Kiplinger's and read about the thirteen (13) tax changes for 2010 that could affect you.

There should be no talk of defunding legislation such as this. There has to be action to repeal this and all the other onerous legislation Congress has passed in 2009 and 2010 against the will of the people. Those in Congress that do not vote to repeal should be voted out of elected office.

The Political Cost Of Health Care

Much has been said of the economic cost of health care which, simply put is that we can't afford this bill of entitlements. The political cost may be higher for the Democrats.

They probably have lost the pro-life vote for the foreseeable future. This will cut across many religious groups. It is unfortunate to the nth degree that Nancy Pelosi, allegedly a Catholic, directed this fight.

Many different political groups have been awakened from their slumber. Conservatives that thought their back was covered have rejoined the fray. Republicans who were uncommitted are now energized. Moderate Republicans who do that, "Oh, I just vote for the best candidate," now see in stark terms what that has accomplished. Independents and especially those that weren't interested in politics may not know that the Republican Party is their home, but they well know now that the Democrat Party is not their political home, in fact, it is a bordello to be avoided.

Older Americans are very angry with what the Democrats have done to them financially (and how they were used as bartering chips) and the young voter demographic is now more pro-life and conservative than in recent history.

Working Americans, many of them Blue Collar workers who thought they were voting for hope and change, know that vast amounts of money is being spent and someone will have to pay it back. That it is being spent on health care reform in place of jobs and the economy only compounds their anger.

The most important group affected is that block of voter that smells a rat. They may not have the intense involvement, thus the deep knowledge, of what is in the health care reform bill, but they know it stinks. It stinks the way it was passed, it stinks because they know they were lied to and it stinks because of their common sense which tells them that this whole charade is bull.

Many of this last group will vote Republican in the near future, but others that may have voted Democrat in the past will just fade into the, “they’re all liars,” group of voters.

If I was breaking out the demographic profile for the Democrats I’d be scratching my head a lot, because the historical number crunching method isn’t going to work next time around.

I've been asking and saying this for a while now and it is very good that conservatives are beginning to ask what they need to do about the success of the far Left's agenda in Washington. Be aware, if you are not, the left has been very successful in transforming America away from our roots and a free nation inhabited by rugged individuals.

The left has made us much more docile. They are being "nice" to those that need help, they say. Bull, they are making the biggest power play in our history. They know it. They hope we don't, but more importantly, they don't give a damn. Win, lose or draw in the upcoming elections, they believe they have won by destroying the greatest experiment of freedom in the history of the world. Yep, that'd be the United States of America.

I think our side is analyzing this all wrong: Today's Democrats are controlled by the radical Left, and it is more important to them to execute the permanent transformation of American society than it is to win the upcoming election cycles. They have already factored in losing in November — even losing big. For them, winning big now outweighs that. I think they're right.

As Americans focus on the latest outrage executed by Obama and his administration they tend to forget the last outrage they made happen. Just as they planned. Huge auto corporations owned and operated they way the government (and their union lackeys) wants them operated. Banks being threatened and closed for "bad practices" that the government implemented and forced on the banks. States being blackmailed or bribed into submission. Whole industries deemed unworthy by the government are squeezed, battered and closed because they did not fit the government model. Look more closely at what government bureaucracies and Congress has done in the past years, but especially in the last year, and you will see that the United States of America is dissolving before your eyes.

If you are unwilling to do the hard work, welcome to the United Socialist States of America. I kid you not.

Both company Shares have been under increasing pressure and have lost as much as 80% of share value in just 12 months . The Fed has given the green light for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York authority to lend any money needed to allow them to continue providing mortgages at 2.25% and will expand its current line of credit to the two companies and buy shares of the companies if needed to prop up share price in these troubled times. Congress is also to approve a package next week which includes a foreclosure rescue to help strapped homeowners get new, more affordable government-backed mortgages through the Federal Housing Administration.
