No On Issue 2 And 3

It is quite simple, really.

Issue 2 adds another layer of government at a time when we should all be striping away layers of government and throwing them in the waste bin of failed modern history. The fact that the board is unnecessary and has little or no oversight makes it a no brainer.

Issue 3 is about gambling. 28 states have casino gambling within their borders. Casinos bring a lot of baggage, including corruption, prostitution, general crime and filth, which we don't need here in Ohio. If I want to gamble there are plenty of places to do so, elsewhere. Just because I go to WalMart once or twice a year doesn't mean I want to live next to one. If you're thinking NIMBY, you'd be right. I lived just outside Reno, have visited Las Vegas many times and watched the transformation of the strip and its effects on Atlantic City and it is ugly just outside the bright lights.

Both Issue 2 and 3 are unnecessary and are to the detriment of Ohio. Of course there are those who see no problem with more government, jobs at any price and crime. They'll vote yes on both.

Wondered If 'Green' Is Bogus?

Soros, who has made billions by screwing those countries that do not do what he wishes, has decided that 'green' is the way to go. That makes 'green' the wrong way for those that work and try to improve life for themselves and those they know and love.

Soros is poison. He is a hateful creep that lurks around the dark corners of the world's economic systems so he can suck them dry.

If Soros has decided that 'green' is the way to go, I will run the other way. Soros cries "power to the people"while he destroys governments, that he has made vulnerable so as to manipulate their currencies, just to make money, so he can then cry "those capitalists" hate the little people, to further enrich himself by emplacing a socialist government, which is more easy to manipulate economically and financially.

How much longer will "progressives", and "socialists" enrich this manipulator in the hopes he will continue to fund their agenda before they realize he is a radical only as long as he enriches himself, ultimately at their expense. Up close and speaking economically, Soros is as warm and fuzzy as a herpes sore that is offering an engagement ring to a weeping finger. Marry him and you are as diseased as him. That is pretty diseased. Pretty diseased for a long time. Time-wise, diseased until one dies a horrible death. His money is tainted.

If Soros has a soul, it is with a little "s".

It's must be pretty hard not having the money and support for one's stupid ideas, infact, so much so that one feels they have to kneel before such a fascist money maker. A money maker who infects those that accept his money.

You want to make money in the green game? Go for it. You're funding, not a cleaner and more beautiful future, but your own financial dependency. It may feel good when you think it is a done deal, but you will still be filling Soros' pocket with money while he laughs all the way to the elitist socialist bank. A bank he owns.

Honey, I Shrunk The Internet!

Bizzy Blog has continued a story that many, if not most, of us dropped the ball on. Go read his piece which is very good.

The Obama administration has decided that the wrascally world needs to have the chance to change, channel and use the Internet for their purposes, because the mean old United States wasn't sharing it enough.

If the Obama administration wants a profile on all those who disagree with their policies, I want a profile on all the morons that voted for this loser from Peoria and that profile has to include a section on whether they were stupid, ignorant, willfully unable to make a credible decision or if they were paid to vote for Obama. The voting dead need to have permission from their mortician or political leader, which may be the same person, before they personally fill out this section. I can't stand smelly forms laying about.

Quite simply, the decision of the Obama administration increases the vulnerability of the Internet to political pressure, censorship, and strangling regulation and taxation.

I'm sure that our economic overlords in China will work tirelessly to ensure the Internet is free and open. Count Putin in. Ditto, Obama friends Chavez and Castro. Our new friends the Taliban are already working on the Internet Reformed Qumran. Al Qaeda will soon unveil their swimsuit calendar to show just how free the Internet can be and to overcome the bad press those pesky cartoons brought down on their loving hearts and heads.

We might as well admit that Obama just shrunk the Internet to irrelevance so that we can get an underground net going. Maybe we can indulge in some wistful thinking and call it 'The Sons of Liberty' Net.

Nah, that's just make our new Internet overlords fidgety. And I wouldn't want to upset a bunch of overlords that would still be feeding their people to each other if they thought the world wasn't watching.

I knew that Kerry has never had any 'core values', but I thought Graham might have a few rattling around in the dusty background.

Though neither represent me, the fact that Graham, as a members of the 'club', can so easily sell us out with Kerry makes me want to take a shower. Besides, clowns always scared me.

DNC: If you laugh at Obama’s Nobel, you side with terrorists

Far be it from me to question the sanity of the DNC as I used to tipple more than a few drinks with a few of them in various temples of propriety on the Hill. We had great debates, many laughs and a few agreements over the years. I've not only kept in contact with some, I've also done some corporate and charitable work with them and I've had the fortune to attend some weddings and baptisms and the misfortune to attend some untimely funerals.

We were opponents, not enemies. We were friends, not allies.

It was such a friend that called this morning to chortle that Obama had a brand new Nobel to add to his grand list of accomplishments. I was such an opponent to chuckle that Obama had no accomplishments even with a Nobel, but we both stopped the funnin' when Brad Woodhouse's name was uttered by me.

Something along the lines of, "Oh Lord. What has he stepped in this time." came across my phone line.

"I'm a terrorist which is something to add to being called a Nazi, unAmerican and racist, but now it's official as it came from Woodhouse as a spokesman for the DNC," I replied.

I continued, "This clown could write for a tabloid and have more credibility, but a lot of people not part of this fight are going to be pretty p*ssed off when they hear they are Hamas and Taliban."

Having a brand new telephone I knew the line had'nt gone dead, so I closed with an offer to send him the link. We closed. I sent. Haven't heard a word since.

Pelosi weeps when she brings up Democrats murduring each other in California to point out how unjust political rhetoric has become when people standing up for what they think is right only to be called unAmerican. Reid gets all pugnacious when people mention he's being a jerk and Howie Dean gets all puppy eyed right after he states he hates Republicans and all they stand for.

This isn't governance, this is a bully convention in a school play yard filled with 10 year old children playing the part of politicians. I apologize to all 10 year old children except the one down the street.

Well, Mr. Woodhouse, I am not Hamas nor am I Taliban. No, I am not a Nazi or a racist. I detest all of them and want to see them wiped off the face of the earth. You, sir, engender them. You lift them up. You give them all existence.

Mr. Woodhouse, you are a moron and the new leadership in your Party do us all disservice. You all do not just disservice to America, but also the ideal of America.

World leaders hail Obama's Nobel Prize
World leaders urged Barack Obama to seize on the award of the Nobel Peace Prize to intensify his diplomatic efforts to forge peace in the globe's trouble spots.

But the surprise announcement by the Norwegian Nobel Peace Prize Committee in Oslo was interpreted more as a bid to encourage the US president's bold diplomatic overtures to Washington's enemies, rather than a recognition of the achievement of peace by a leader in office for only nine months.

"We do not yet have peace in the Middle East... this time it was very clear that they wanted to encourage Obama to move on these issues..." said the 2008 winner, former Finnish president Martti Ahtisaari.

"This is a clear encouragement to do something on this issue, I wish him good luck."
The 1983 Laureate, Poland's Lech Walesa, was more blunt.

"Who, Obama? So fast? Too fast - he hasn't had the time to do anything yet," Walesa told reporters in Warsaw.

"For the time being Obama's just making proposals. But sometimes the Nobel committee awards the prize to encourage responsible action," said Walesa.

Neither did key US newspaper The Wall Street Journal mince its words, describing the choice of Obama as "completely bizarre."

"It is unclear why. For making peace, of a kind, with Hillary Clinton? For giving up the missile shield and cheering up the Iranians? For preparing a surge of troops and weaponry in Afghanistan?" said the paper in an editorial.

"Of course, traditionally it has been standard procedure that winners of the prize do their peacemaking first... But this innovation sweeps aside such old-fashioned notions of reward following effort."

Some will scoff at the prize as nothing more than meddling by the Nobel Committee, but they cannot take away the astounding and decisive success Obama has had in Afghanistan. The committee vote took such positive accomplishments, just as they did with Wilson's League of Nations, Carter's overall career of the betterment of all mankind, especially America and Yasar Arafat's known concern and love for his fellow men, in to account when they elevated Obama to this place of great respect and to show that the world now loves America.

I applaud the committee for their consistency and vision of how they think America should be run and how voters here should conduct themselves. This is a giant step for America, and Obama, in recognizing that we are part of the world and as such, we should join the world and how they think.

To the detractors of this wonderful award I say that criminals such as Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe and Hamilton never would have even been considered. Maybe because they would have just ignored the committee. That's the type of men they were and they would have no place in this Pantheon of Peace.

Now the memo has gone out for bloggers to write (hopefully not their normal faux story) about women and just how rotten they are treated by the health care industry. Look for minorities and children next. Sad and heart wrenching stories, all.

Global Warming Is Frosting My World

It's October 8 and already we've had frost. Granted, I am sitting here in a sweatshirt because I don't want to really heat a 120+ year old house, but also I am sick of paying extra for everything I want or need because of the huge set of hidden taxes on those products caused by government over-regulation, taxation and stupid laws that threatens retaliation for things such as toilet paper holders being at the wrong height in businesses everywhere.

I also do not believe in global warming nor the hucksters trying to profit from the theory even if only the need to feel part of something bigger than they.

Leighton Steward is on Capitol Hill this week armed with studies and his book Fire, Ice and Paradise in a bid to show senators working on the energy bill that the carbon dioxide cap-and-trade scheme could actually hurt the environment by reducing CO2 levels.

The need to address crisis everywhere seems to me to be the bigger problem. It denotes a lacking that could and should be filled by family, philosophy, religion and ethics. That people have decided to pin their existence on manufactured crisis after manufactured crisis and their perpetrators is the real crisis.

Illegal Lawlessness On Laws On Alien Illegals

Laws are in place for a reason and if, say, I don't pay my taxes, I will be prosecuted. Right? Not if one occupies the mighty ethers of the Obama administration. They strip prosecutors of their powers if they, you know, actually use their powers under the law. They order other departments to look the other way if certain senators get special mortgage treatment or congressmen and administration officials cheat on their taxes as long as those suspected, but invaluable to America's future, can cook an excuse at least as well as they cooked their books.

Illegal aliens must also be invaluable to America's future, well, at least to the Democrats future. That must be why the Democrats cry that it is the law that the illegals must get health care, other government benefits and the right to vote. Of course, the Democrats start crying when they need to divert attention from other malfeasance and misfeasance.

Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio says he will continue his controversial "crime suppression operations" despite a Department of Homeland Security decision to strip him of authority to arrest suspected illegal immigrants based solely on their immigration status, the East Valley Tribune reports.

“It’s all politics,” says Arpaio, sheriff of Maricopa County.

I agree with the commenter that said Sheriff Arpaio should be put in charge of immigration. Only problem is, besides Democrats being in charge, that not one damned person in Washington, DC has the first idea of how to enforce the law.

The Face Of Public Option Behind The Mask Of Reason

In what has become usual, President Obama speaks one way to the public while secretly doing the opposite in the Oval Office. Call it the Rahm Effect. Back room dealing, threats and political bribery, all to get what you want even though others strongly disagree, because the public mask will bring you victory as the distorted face of lies remains hidden from view.

Despite months of seeming ambivalence about creating a government health insurance plan, the Obama White House has launched an intensifying behind-the-scenes campaign to get divided Senate Democrats to take up some version of the idea in the weeks just ahead.

President Barack Obama has long advocated a so-called public option, while at the same time repeatedly expressing openness to other ways to offer consumers a potentially more affordable alternative to health plans sold by private insurers.

But now, senior administration officials are holding private meetings almost daily at the Capitol with senior Democratic staff to discuss ways to include a version of the public plan in the health care bill that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., plans to bring to the Senate floor later this month, according to senior Democratic congressional aides.

A public option is political suicide, if pundits are to be believed, so why are Democrats pursuing it? What is the plan after the goal of a public option is achieved? Is there one? Socialized medicine? How will the American public react to this? The 2010 and the 2012 elections could be a disaster for the Democrats if voters view it this way, so why are the Democrats doing this and what is their plan already formed by Obama, his staff, advisers and Party leaders?

If a public option is put in place it will eventually destroy the private insurance industry because private industry cannot compete with government. At present there are over 2.2 million people working in insurance and there are X millions of people that work in ancillary and support positions around the nation. Where will they be employed and who will employ them and, more important, who will support them? If millions of workers are put out of work, albeit with health insurance, how will that affect other industries such as the auto industry faced with millions of fewer potential buyers, the entertainment industry, the computer industry, airlines, transportation and on and on down to maids, lawn services that have millions of fewer customers.

The public option is a wild fire that would spread throughout the economy leaving destruction in its nebulous path panicking markets, the nation and, eventually, global markets and nations.

I think it is time for Obama and his ilk to come clean about their plans for their American future.

Eckels Lake

I learned to swim there. Became a life guard. I mostly lived at Eckels Lake whenever I could.

The lake was actually an old stone quarry that the Eckels' turned into a gymnasium over water. There was a 12' long barrel to try and run on, traveling rings (seen here), spinning disks that two to six people could rock and cause to spin at a very fast rate, big and even bigger water slides, flying rings that took one way up and over the water (and land on the back swing) and a 3', 6', 10' and 20' diving boards and more.

For the life guard test I had to tie my street clothes into a bundle, throw it out into the lake and when it had sunk completely, I had to dive in and "save" it. The water was a coppery green and bitterly cold at the bottom.

Mr and Mrs Eckels were like parents who took a real interest in their enlarged "family" which they made me part of. Mrs Eckels suffered from a malady and constantly needed to keep weight on, so each day, when there, I would ride my bike to the Dairy Queen (quite a hike) for a milk shake with an egg mixed in for her to drink. She always had a big smile and a 'thank you', especially when I got back to her with a still cold milkshake.

As an only son, when my father took me to Mr Eckels as a young child and asked if he could teach me to swim, Mr Eckels said yes and promptly threw me in the water as my father watched in horror. Mr Eckels told him if I didn't start flapping my arms by the third time I went under that he'd jump in and get me. I started flapping like a bird on the second time and have been swimming ever since.

As life guards, it was common to have to watch over a couple of hundred swimmers every weekend while nursing a Grape Nehi, trying to not get caught ogling the bikini contents and getting very tan.

The Eckels have passed and lawyers and insurance costs doomed their water gymnasium over water. To the detriment of all.

Denial Case Study: Polanski, ACORN and Whoopi

Roman Polanski drugged and raped a thirteen year old girl, was convicted, but fled before sentencing because he didn't like how the judge may or may not sentence him. Now that he has been arrested in Zurich, Switzerland 31 years later, Polanski is using the justice system to avoid being extradited back to the United States to be judged on his flight from justice.

That is the issue at present, but detractors of our legal system, as usual, want to speak to other issues, not the issue of law.

What is worse is than the fact that some of those detractors ignore this issue and they detour further into areas that they are wholly incapable of understanding, they do so from positions of influence. Or are they incapable?

Whoopi Goldberg said on The View, “It was something else but I don’t believe it was rape-rape. He went to jail and when they let him out he was like ‘This guy’s gonna give me 100 years. I’m not staying,” she added.

Later in the programme, she added: “We’re a different kind of society, we see things differently. Would I want my 14-year-old having sex? Not necessarily, no.”

ACORN has shown a pattern of illegal use of federal funds (for housing for the poor) in the political arena. The electoral fraud, racketeering, tax evasion, child sex laws and whore house advice are side issues and, though, still representative of ACORN, they are not the issue, just the catalyst for the current headlines concerning ACORN.

Whoopi Goldberg on The View said, "Here is the gist of what happened. ACORN is a group that is a group of community organizers. They have several places across the country and they work with poor folks and disenfranchised folks for housing, for medical health and all kinds of stuff. The Republicans have always felt that there was something a little off about ACORN and no one could actually put their finger on it. So now two young filmmakers who say that they're conservatives went out to show the kinds of people that are working for ACORN and to give credence to the ideas that, you know, this is not a good organization."

Again, addressing the core issue about federal funding of ACORN is ignored to speak of the things that Goldberg thinks are good about ACORN and she may well purport in the future that in the ACORN case that there was no real fraud-fraud in assisting a potential under the legal radar whore house in illegally immigrating underage girls to serve a prostitutes. That Republicans do not like, trust or believe ACORN is a given, but that is not the issue. No where does Ms. Goldberg address the 175 groups set up to filter, hide and move taxpayer dollars, paid to ACORN for housing, to be used for political means. Is Goldberg incapable of understanding and addressing these issues or is she turning a blind eye to an organization that supports her political agenda?

I choose Goldberg as an illustrative point of purposeful political denial to address a world and political view detrimental to the core values of the United States of America. One may take virtually any issue, such as illegal immigration, taxation, states rights and others and find that the core issues have not and will not be addressed, because those core issues do not fit the liberal narrative. The Constitution, laws and facts are inconvenient truths that block the desires of liberal groups. The same Constitution, laws and facts that stand between political power and liberals must be denied.

Polanski is guilty of one charge and is now charged with flight and evading sentencing. ACORN has been found guilty of many things, but is now being investigated and charged with illegal use of taxpayer funds.

Remember, William Jefferson Clinton was impeached, not for receiving oral sex from a young lady entrusted into his charge, but for lying to a Grand Jury. And it doesn't matter if the young lady and her parents thought that W. J. Clinton was a nice guy and shouldn't suffer.

According to Obama the economy is as bad as the Great Depression, our health care system sucks and chooses certain segments of society to die and business is the bane of freedom, so he is off to Denmark with Oprah to plead for the Olympic Committee to hold the Olympics in Chicago.

Chicago would bring a lot to the Olympics. A gold in arm-twisting would be headline stuff if a non-Chicagoan won, weightlifting over 300 pounds of cash in the snatch category might only get one a bronze, but lying out of both sides of your mouth (in church) will get you a silver.

Forget golf unless the clubs are larger and sharpened at one end, forget ball room dancing unless beating your partner to death is included, forget cricket unless the bats have nails and the gloves have brass knuckles and darts is just too tame.

Pelosi Astrotearing For ObamasCare

Nana Pelosi remembers those years in tears. Those days being when Democrats were murdering Democrats in California and those remembrances cause her fear and tears as she tries to lay the groundwork for all the unions, leftist organizers, and administration personnel to make America cry for ObamasCare.

Her launch board was Astrotearing for civility and Astroturfing protests against insurance companies. I have to assume that her civility includes not using inflammatory rhetoric such as un-American,, Nazi and other slurs.




Now that we've all enjoyed that fine performance of Astrotearing for health and civility we can now look forward to the Astrosurfing section of their political drama; hating on insurance companies.

Health reformers targeting 'enemies'
But Health Care for America Now (HCAN), which is backed by a coalition of labor unions and liberal groups including ACORN and MoveOn.org, organized the protests to target insurance companies and drafted the plan, which describes the demonstrations as part of its "insurance enemies project."

The document, a copy of which was obtained by The Washington Times, details specific talking points, tactics, props and strategies to stage the protests. It lists goals that include action that "mobilizes our base by animating existing anger about private insurers."

The HCAN field plan dictates that each protest will include a minimum of 30 participants, target only health care insurers CIGNA, WellPoint and United Health Care and showcase what it calls "victims," or people who have either lost insurance, can't afford it or were denied coverage because of pre-existing medical conditions.

"We built a campaign to win health care reform and that is exactly what we are working on," said HCAN national spokeswoman Jacki Schechner, who authenticated the documents. But she asserted: "There is nothing top-down about this."

Nah, nothing top-down about this.

HCAN designed the demonstrations set for Tuesday to "help shape new national narrative around the national health care debate" by vilifying insurance companies, according to the field plan.

The strategy aims to sway Capitol Hill lawmakers by making them choose between voting for the president's health care reforms or siding with insurance companies.

Street theater always has to have some good ole pathos (and humor it appears), so bring on the no top-down faux victims and clerics to make demands a stalk insurance company executives.

Tactics listed in the field plan include "large-scale rally or march to insurance company with victims leading delegation in to speak to CEO or other spokesperson." It suggests materials or props including signs, pictures and "good stories that embody our key message."

Under the heading "escalation," the plan advises: "We could start with a delivery to the office and then escalate by bird-dogging the CEO or company by bringing smaller delegations every day to this location or others until we get an answer."

Another tactic described in the document is "vigils featuring faith leaders [or] clergy" who visits insurance company office with the demand. For props, it suggest using "spokespeople who can wear clerical uniforms."

It directs the protesters to "escalate by increasing the involvement of congregations to take small actions; hosting more vigils that invite the insurance companies to repent."

Obama and his buds haven't said anything about all this mixing of religion and government, but it has been heard that Thomas Jefferson reportedly growled, "I wish I never wrote that damned letter."

Now, if Jefferson had stated "a wall of separation" between foreign funded political groups and unions and government, A lot of citizens would get solidly behind that idea.

Unfortunately, Obama ain't Jefferson.

I Miss Flippo

Visiting a friend after school one day, I got to watch their TV and saw Flippo. After that my parents got sick of hearing about Flippo, but my mother sat with me one day to watch his show on channel 10, WBNS (Wolf Brothers News and Shoes we joked). I couldn't believe she laughed at some of his jokes, especially the ones I didn't understand. (Later in life I would.)




The next year my parents had a really big birthday party for me at the Athletic Club in Columbus. All of my friends and classmates were there. I cannot remember any present I got or anything else about the party that year except the moment that Flippo walked in.

'Betrayal' Of Poland By Obama

Russia has a long history of betrayal and atrocities, especially against Poles, and now Poland feels, rightfully so, that the Obama Administration has sold them to Russia.

In an almost dead heat, the Church of England and the Episcopal Church here in America, are spiraling downward in a total "who cares" state of affairs.

At the fourth post it appears the Church of England is leading by a nose with Rappin' Rowan at the reins:

In the beginning, the elders gathered and set up a mighty cry: How are we to get young people into church? And, lo, they decreed: Let there be rap.

In a move which risks ridicule, the Church of England has turned to street culture in the hope of attracting new blood.

A radio advert will appeal to the lapsed faithful to 'stop, turn around, walk back' to church on Sunday.

The spoken message, voiced by a series of actors, is described by the Church as 'a rap-style poem'.

The ad is the latest in a 15-year campaign by the C of E to use advertising to boost church attendances and attract the attention of those, in particular the young, who have no interest in Christianity.

Past efforts have met with mixed success. One mid-1990s slogan that declared Christmas to be a 'bad hair day' won universal mockery.

The C of E's usual Sunday attendance figures dropped below the one million figure at the turn of the millennium and have fallen at the most recent count to 871,000.

The new advert, produced by a Christian agency based in Bradford, aims to assure its young target audience that they do not need to dress up to go to church.

In defiance of the idea of Sunday best, the 40-second routine, which is not set to a drum beat, suggests that congregations where people make an effort to look smart could lack sincerity.
The grammar also does little credit to the C of E's efforts in the thousands of secondary and primary schools it helps run.

It says: 'Don't look to make no airs and graces. Faked up smiles and masked up faces. No need to make no innovation. Please accept this as your invitation.'

The poem won endorsement from Lambeth Palace, where the Archbishop of Canterbury's adviser on church growth, Canon Paul Bayes, said it was 'a great opportunity for churches to speak to their communities with the message of invitation.'

The advert will appear on commercial radio stations as part of a timeshare system in which parishes have been encouraged to club together with other local churches to buy airtime.
It is part of a 'Back to church Sunday' drive which hopes to bring in thousands of new worshippers on September 27. It is backed by churches in Scotland and Wales, Methodist and evangelical churches, although Roman Catholic leaders have not signed up.

Last year, its organisers say, some 37,000 lapsed members were drawn back to church on the campaign Sunday.

The Church of England (COE), which before the American Revolution demanded their priests pledge allegiance to the crown, was the reason for the First Amendment stating that Congress shall not establish a national religion ergo a national church. After the revolution, the Church of England was banned in America and replaced by the Episcopal Church (TEC).

(note, I was reared in the Episcopal Church, was an altar boy and loved the Church, but left when the church replaced religion with a secular progressive philosophy)

The "separation of church and state' phrase is not in the Bill of Rights or any other official document. The phrase, based on the philosophy of John Locke is in a letter to the Danbury Baptists authored by Thomas Jefferson.

I think a good visual showing the dichotomy or bi-polar sense of the church is Coventry Cathedral in England. The old cathedral of St Michael was destroyed by Nazi bombs during WWII and beginning in the 1950's the COE began designing an addition to the ruins for a new cathedral. The results are disastrous, a timelous example of historic FUGLYness and a shrine to COE's inability to reflect their mission of unity.
