Liberal Hate Machine Not New

The haters:

Allen Whitney Brown

Born in Charlotte, Michigan, Brown began his career as a street juggler and musician before finding regular employment as a comedian and comedy writer.
...But do I still support the individual men and women who have given

No. I think they’re a bunch of idiots. I also think they’re morally

In a stunning rocket, Rudy Jew-liani basically admitted that he doesn’t know anything at all about foreign policy — or maybe that he knows too much. In an interview with the Jew York Times, Rudy inavertendly revealed that the US has been fighting an entire extra war these last few years that only he knows about.
As reported by Jeff Jacoby
As in years past, Republicans were almost routinely associated with Nazi
Germany. Former Vice President Al Gore referred to GOP activists as "brown
shirts." Newsday columnist Hugh Pearson likened the Republican National
Convention to the "Nazi rallies held in Germany during the reign of Adolf
Hitler." Linda Ronstadt said that the Republican victory on Election Day meant
"we've got a new bunch of Hitlers." Chuck Turner, a Boston city councilor,
smeared National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice as "a tool of white leaders,"
like "a Jewish person working for Hitler."

But this isn't the first time the NPR diva has publicly wished death on a
conservative. "I think he ought to be worried about what's going on in the Good

retributive justice, he'll get AIDS from a transfusion, or one of his
grandchildren will."

But do stay in touch after the borders slam shut. When you finally tire
of living on the modern, corporate plantations of Cargill, Tyson, ConAgra and

sling hash at Denny's in hopes that they'll meet the nicer sort of truck driver;
when you tire of sneaking into Blue America as illegal white-trash wetbacks
eager for casual work dusting our parlors; and when, like men, you finally rise
up in rebellion against this immoral usury -- then, and only then, let us

We'll gladly get your backs. But first you must grow the brains and
the balls needed to profit from our help.

This is just a sampling, but the loving reason of liberals just goes on and on.

If I Did Not Make Myself Clear

I have only committed the mistake of believing in you, the Americans.

How can we live with this?

A New Day

Last night I returned home with my son after a two day business trip within which he helped me big time. He may or may not decide to continue to work with me, but these 2 days that I got to spend with him was and is a sunrise fresh and clean. And beautiful.

Selfish? You bet your buns. Man-O-man, good Lord almighty, I'll take this selfishness as a sin if I get to do this again.

e-mail Funny

Father O'Malley rose from his bed. It was a fine Springday in his new New Mexico mission parish. He walked to the window of his bedroom to get a deep breath of the beautiful day outside. He then noticed there was a jackass lying dead in the middle of his front lawn. He promptly called the local police station.

The conversation went like this:

"Good morning. This is Sergeant Jones. How might I help you?"

"And the best of the day te yerself. This is FadderO'Malley at St.Brigid's. Dere's a jackass lyin dead on me front lawn. Would ye be so kind as to send a couple o' yer lads to take care of da matter?"

Sergeant Jones, considering himself to be quite a wit, replied with a smirk, "Well now father, it was always my impression that you people took care of last rites!"

There was dead silence on the line for a long moment.

Father O'Malley then replied: "Aye, tis certainly true, but we are also obliged to notify the next of kin."

John Kerry's Newest Vietnam

It also belongs to Pelosi, Reid, Schumer and the rest of the rat's nest we like to still refer to as "our Congress". RINOs, unlike the elephant, have no memory and so now we come to the point where another part of the world that will be justified in no longer trusting the United States of America.

The following is a disgusting remnant of our past that is actually a precursor of our future if we let the refuse infesting our Congress "win" their way.
Dear Excellency and friend,

I thank you very sincerely for your letter and for your offer to
transport me towards freedom. I cannot, alas, leave in such a cowardly fashion.

As for you and in particular for your great country, I never
believed for a moment that you would have this sentiment of abandoning a people
which has chosen liberty. You have refused us your protection and we can do
nothing about it. You leave us and it is my wish that you and your country will
find happiness under the sky.

But mark it well that, if I shall die here on the spot and in my
country that I love, it is too bad because we are all born and must die one day.
I have only committed the mistake of believing in you, the Americans.

Please accept, Excellency, my dear friend, my faithful and friendly
sentiments. Sirik Matak.

This is not the America I wish to live in. To turn our back on the people of the Middle East just so some moral reprobates can win elections to gain more power disgusts me so deeply I am at a loss to truly express it.

UPDATE: Sirik Matak was shot in the stomach days after this letter was written by the Khemer Rouge along with what was left of the free government of his country. Unfortunately Sirik Matak lived for another 3 years before he died. His compatriots died that day. All murdered by the Khemer Rouge. The killers were communists. They were also, just like Islamofascists, common thugs, murderers and slugs on the body politic.

Al-Qaeda faces rebellion from the ranks

Fed up with being part of a group that cuts off a person’s face with
piano wire to teach others a lesson, dozens of low-level members of al-Qaeda in
Iraq are daring to become informants for the US military in a hostile Baghdad
neighbourhood.

The ground-breaking move in Doura is part of a wider trend that has
started in other al-Qaeda hotspots across the country and in which Sunni
insurgent groups and tribal sheikhs have stood together with the coalition
against the extremist movement.

When their own are turning on them because the forces of freedom are clearly a better choice then al Qaeda is starting to die. At least in Iraq.

Of course, democrats can't admit this because such an admission would signify a lie and failure on their part. That is nothing new,

Ron Paul and His Loveable Band of Wackos

As I've said before, Ron Paul has some good ideas. Is this the candidate and are these the people we want in charge?

'NYT': Ron Paul for President -- Of the 'Wackos'?

A feature piece in this coming Sunday's New York Times Magazine on
Republican candidate for president, Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, portrays his
followers as including a wild mix of "wackos" on both ends of the political
spectrum. Paul, a libertarian, has been gaining media and public attention of
late.

The cover line reads: "A Genuine Radical for President." The headline
inside: "The Antiwar, Anti-Abortion, Anti-Drug-Enforcement-Administration,
Anti-medicare Candidacy of Dr. Ron Paul."

The article closes with the author, Christopher Caldwell, attending a
Ron Paul Meetup in Pasadena. The co-host, Connie Ruffley of United Republicans
of California, admits she once was a member of the radical right John Birch
Society and when she asks for a show of hands "quite a few" attendees reveal
that they were or are members, too. She refers to Sen. Dianne Feinstein as
"Fine-Swine" and attacks Israel, pleasing some while others "walked
out."

Okay, start with the "He was misquoted" and then change the subject. Oh, don't forget to tell me to read the Constitution, etc.

Poll- 61% of Kos Libs Love the War

In a surprising poll at at Daily Kos less than 40% were against the War on Terror. Other shocking findings were that people who have taken the poll like private insurance, oil company profits, Republican filibusters, the logic of global warming skeptics and the French more than humidity.

Washington pundits are at a loss to explain what they believe to be a seismic shift in the American electorate. An anonymous high ranking aide to a person who once knew Harry Reid was quoted "Harry and the harpy are gonna be crappin bricks over this."

Lawyers from the ACLU sat stunned when told the poll numbers showed that 85% of liberals liked the idea of suspending habeas corpus. One lawyer was seen tearing her hair out screaming "look at the press numbers". Those numbers showed 86% of respondents actually like "lazy" coverage of news events by the media which presumably includes Iraq.

One Presidential candidate mumbled to an aide within the hearing distance of one reporter who reported the she said, "Kos, that putz. Is he a jew? I don't give a damn, find out now you moron."

Calls to various University Political Science Departments have not been returned though one answering machine relayed what seemed to be a hastily recorded message about moving to Canada, a door slamming and then silence.

Republican pollsters were just as stunned with one, Bill Lee of TelOpinion, not able to finish the telephone call with what appeared to be hysterical laughter or a coughing fit.

Oil For Blood In The Middle East

For years we have heard delightful people scream "No blood for oil" or some some such political ditty.

I believe we are in Afghanistan and Iraq for many reasons and the stability of our economy is part of that and oil is part of our economy. Oil is a substance with which a despot like Saddam could use to blackmail or bring governments down.

Question to our friends across the aisle:

Do you want terrorists or terrorist states such as Iran controlling Iraq's oil fields to pursue more terror on innocent people?

Chilean Sea Bass Meets Sarah Lee and Gets Gored

My wife commented on the menu a couple of days ago.

As the joke now goes, "Nobody doesn't like Sarah Lee", but this is about Sarah Gore Lee and her marriage menu. Sarah is the daughter of Algore and the Gorelees had everyone dine on Chilean Sea Bass as in the endangered fish.

Having jetted to the daughter's California wedding fresh from saving the earth with globe trotting rock stars, the Tennessee tycoon of global warming sat down to the dish.

I am not sure if Algore immediately jumped back on his jet to burn up some sky so as to check the settings on his spanking brand new solar panels sooner than later. The earth is in the balance, you know.

Illegal's Crime Devastating Families

Report: Deportation Devastating Families

An estimated 1.6 million children and spouses have been separated from
family members forced to leave the country under toughened 1996 immigration
laws, a human rights group said Wednesday.

The separations have taken a toll on families who have sold homes,
lost jobs, lost businesses or been thrown into financial turmoil, Human Rights
Watch said in a new report.

The widespread impact on American families has been truly devastating, said Alison Parker, a senior researcher with Human Rights Watch.

American families? I don't think so.

What is truly devastating is the cost, financially and ethically, illegal immigration has on America.

Now lets discuss terrorists sneaking across the border. Whose families will be devastated?

Oh, Really?

RICO Reid and America

Although the RICO Act can be used in many contexts, the statute is most easily understood in its intended context: the Mafia. In the context of the Maifa, the defendant person (i.e., the target of the RICO Act) is the Godfather.

Dems ordered to trash Bush on TV...

Campaigns and political parties often provide sample messages that
supporters can repeat in media appearances. The Democratic memo includes this
just-add-water message template for Democratic senators to propagate: “President Bush has proven beyond any doubt that he won’t listen to the Congress or the American people unless he is forced to. While some Senate Republicans might not want to change course in Iraq, it does not gives them the right to block an up or down vote on legislation supported by a majority of the Congress and the
American people.”

The memo says Senate Democrats are coordinating with their House
counterparts to produce an echo effect during floor speeches in the other
chamber. Under a section called, “Amplifying Our Message to Force a Change Of
Course in Iraq,” the memo gives this overview: --

“Senate Democrats will tape TV feeds and actualities back to their home
states.” --

“Outside groups will hold a 'call to action' event Tuesday night to
call on Republicans to end their Iraq filibuster.” --

“Iraq veterans will make visits to Senate offices asking Republican
Senators to allow an up or down vote on the Levin-Reed Amendment.” --

“Center for American Progress will live-blog the all night session.”
--

“Senate Democrats will conduct interviews on national cable and radio.”
--

“The Steering and Outreach Committee will release a video of Iraq
veterans and military families calling for a change of course in
Iraq.”

Wisdom & Street Smarts

What is the difference between a violin and a fiddle?

The way it's spelled.

When home, father was father and mother was mother. When with friends they were mom and dad. My mother was reared in a good family from Virginia. My father married up.

I once used a vulgarity when speaking with my mother. Once. When I came to, dad was using all 4'11" of his body to pummel me while screaming that nobody insulted his wife, not even a *%&$#@g little *&%!%@ like me.

Recap, mother was mother and my dad grew up a "shrimp" on the streets of Akron. The bad side of the bad side of Akron.

Mother had wisdom and dad had street smarts. Both were very wise indeed.

A lot of living, when mixed with good reasoning, can produce extraordinary people.

My father grew up in a world of expected failure with his "gang" of Hunkies, Micks, Kikes and Darkies. He kept his "gang" together as best he could until his early death. He had navigated life by being the only one in his neighborhood to finish high school, completing college and Medical School. I remember visiting re-hab for the Hunkie and attending the opening of the Kikes own store with dad. I also remember watching my father weep uncontrollably at the funeral of the Mick and witnessing the defiance of physics as my father beat a man twice his size half to death for calling Darkie a nigger.

Darkness can create light in a person's life.

With my mother, father didn't swear, smoked his cigars elsewhere, danced with her like Fred Astaire, attended church, and worked himself to death for her and her children. Us. His sunshine. Though the street beast was always on watch and ready for action.

Sometimes people from good families go bad and sometimes good people rise above their Hell.

I will probably never get any awards for blogging or for beautiful
literature. First reason would be that I have done much
more talking than spelling in my life. I know a lot of very impressive
words. But it really takes away from the fun when I have to keep looking
back and forth at the dictionary. The second reason is that I refuse to
conform to todays requirements for political correctness. Its a disease.I wont
have any part of it. The third reason is that I treasure my
profanity, it makes me feel better. Its a shortcut to explaining just how
much I like or dislike something or someone. Some may think it’s classless
, some will say it shows a lack of imagination and education. Although I do
agree that it can get boring real quick like a Chris Rock concert. But
when used in place it serves a purpose.

And that purpose would be to defeat the enemy...

Read the rest, but beware. There is some strong language, but there is also a university of self education. There is also an honesty that is strikingly absent in our universities.

I know where Micky is coming from. The old been there, done that, but there's a whole lotta wisdom in street smarts.

Keith Ellison Locks Himself in Nut-Ball Box

Bush like Hitler, says first Muslim in Congress

Addressing a gathering of atheists in his home state of Minnesota, Keith
Ellison, a Democrat, compared the 9/11 atrocities to the destruction of the
Reichstag, the German parliament, in 1933. This was probably burned down by the Nazis in order to justify Hitler's later seizure of emergency powers.

"It's almost like the Reichstag fire, kind of reminds me of that," Mr Ellison said.
"After the Reichstag was burned, they blamed the Communists for it, and it put
the leader [Hitler] of that country in a position where he could basically have
authority to do whatever he wanted."

To applause from his audience of 300 members of Atheists for Human Rights, Mr Ellison said he would not accuse the Bush administration of planning 9/11 because "you know, that's how they put you in the nut-ball box - dismiss you".

Chairman Finally Sees Eye To Eye With Enemy

Squirrels

Chairman Short met his match. Squirrels with eavesdropping devices have been listening in on Iranian defenses. My Mahmoud gnawed on a pistachio as he interrogated the squirrels one by one chucking the shell to the side as he wistfully gazed at the horizon of his future. Local villagers rushed to grab the shell hoping to make a meal for their families as Ahmadinejad retreated to his matchbox for reflection.

The lucky winner praised Allah as his provider. The others stoned him as an apostate. The shell's location is unknown, but Pakistani authorities expressed an opinion that the shell had been detained for questioning.

When asked for comment the squirrels squeaked before they were ushered off for formal finger printing, but their Iranian lawyers stated that Ziomericans are not allowed to be quoted in the Free Republic of Iran.

Chairman Ahmadinejad stated before leaving for a viewing of naked finger tips in a neighboring village that "These damned Zionist rodents are everywhere. First we will nuke the Jewish ant and then the Zionist rodent. With the grace of Allah, Bush will learn what burning really means. Get it? Burning, Bush, but I only chuckle myself."

by Shannen RossmillerMiddle East
QuarterlySummer 2007

On September 3, 2004, a nine-member officer's panel at Fort Lewis,
Washington, found Specialist Ryan G. Anderson guilty of five counts of seeking
to aid the enemy during a time of war and attempted espionage. The court martial
subsequently sentenced him to five concurrent life terms for his crimes. To
date, the sentence represents the most severe penalty meted out to a U.S.
citizen in President George W. Bush's global war on terror. The case also marked
the triumph of the new field of cyber counterterrorism, which I helped develop.
Working from my home computer, I enabled Anderson's capture. There have since
been more than 200 other cases although many of these were intelligence cases
that, for various reasons, did not result in criminal prosecution.

“Senator Warner and I recognize that there is broad disagreement in

Mr. Lugar, do you ever get a palpable desire to destroy the terrorists in Iraq and shame them worldwide?

FUGLY or Architectural Heresy

The first time I went to the Guggenheim Museum in Manhattan I was really excited. I had heard all about it, seen photographs and was totally stoked to see it.

Ugh. The exterior did not live up to its hype, but the exhibition space inside was so wrong from every aspect.

The building stole from the art and it gave back nothing to art. The light, the wall shapes and the floor in the main entrance building could destroy Mona Lisa's smile.

The Guggenheim is unique, but the art and building are like a couple that love each other so intensely, but are not a match. They eventually only find each other's fault.

The Dean of the Art Department where I attended college became a good friend of mine. When I first gave this explanation to him he cried "Heresy" and if he reads this now he will shake his head and whisper "heresy" twice, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Marine's Parents Want Murtha Censured for Haditha Remarks

Sharratt said that he, his wife Theresa and other supporters of their
22-year-old son were planning to visit Martha's office, and "we're going to ask
for more than an apology."

"We need this man censured by our Congress," he said, because "he
denied my son -- and the other Marines involved -- their constitutional rights
to a fair trial and a presumption of innocence."

"This is what we've been fighting for in Iraq," Sharratt added. "This
is what we've been fighting for -- what soldiers and Marines have been dying for
-- for the past 200 years."

Our troops are facing an enemy in Iraq and Afghanistan that doesn't have the guts to face them in battle except when cornered. It appears the troops are facing the same tactics in Congress.

Republican Gang of Four - Wanting to Lose in Iraq

Key vote on the Iraq war keeps House GOP united
July 13, 2007
House Republican leaders largely kept their party together on the issue of
Iraq last night, with only four members breaking with their party to support a
withdrawal of troops by April.

Reps. Jo Ann Emerson (R-Mo.) and John Duncan, Jr. (R-Tenn.) were the
only new defectors though Duncan voted against the 2002 war authorization
measure. The other two GOP members to vote with Democrats were Reps. Walter Jones (N.C.) and Wayne Gilchrest (Md.), who have consistently broken with their party on Iraq this year.

I went to college with Jo Ann and I do not understand this vote from her. Duncan, huh? Jones left the building long ago and Gilchrist is definitely a lights are on, but nobody is home type of guy.

Boehner is doing great, but just in case he needs it I am sending a pig-sticker. Just in case.

CAIR Helps OH Muslims Obtain Driver Photos with Hijab

CINCINNATI-July 12, 2007 - The Cincinnati office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations Ohio chapter (CAIR-Ohio) announced today that two Muslim women in that city were able to have driver's license photographs retaken with their Islamic headscarves, or hijab, after initially being asked to remove the scarves.

Might be time for retinal scan IDs. That's not in the Koran is it? Don't ask CAIR, they'll find that indeed the Koran does forbid it, but I don't really care what they say. Toss'em.

Mugger Murtha's Haditha

So where is Mugger Murtha on this? He sullied the military that he says he loves so much. He convicted troops, without proof, of actions in combat without any knowledge.

Now it appears he was wrong all along and was using our troops to further his political career.

Sharratts hope for celebration (Haditha Marine family)

The difference here is that people all over our nation have waited to hear what the reviews show. Unlike Mugger Murtha we waited hoping that it wasn't true. Believing in our soldiers and praying for them.

Where is Mugger's apology to the troops? To the troop's families who have been living in Hell? To the military that he shamed?

He has been raking in deals and pounding pork through Congress to further his career.

When will you apologize and resign your office you shameless sad little man?

Great News! Protein Wisdom!

Last weekend I was explaining to my son the meaning of Samuel Langhorne Clemens' pen name as we were all sailing so it is appropriate to quote him here in reference to Protein Wisdom and whether he will be back.

Betty Williams, doing her best Doris Day impression, stated to a crowd of the International Women's Peace Conference in Dallas:
"Right now, I could kill George Bush," she said at the Adam's Mark Hotel and Conference Center in Dallas. "No, I don't mean that. How could you nonviolently kill somebody? I would love to be able to do that."

It appears that such an expert as Betty isn't quite up on the presidential succession nor what is happening in the "Muslim world". If she is speaking of Iraq and Afghanistan maybe someone should remind her of how they used to live. Money found in toilets across Japan

Envelopes containing Y10,000 ($A95.65) bills and well-wishing notes have been discovered in municipal toilets across Japan, media reports said, baffling civil servants and triggering a nationwide hunt.

Local media have estimated that over Y2 million ($A19,131) worth of
bills were found at men's rooms in city halls in at least 15 prefectures
(states) in recent weeks.

Each package of 10,000-yen bills, some wrapped in traditional
Japanese washi paper, was accompanied by handwritten letters that read "Please
make use of this money for your self-enrichment," and "One per person,"
according to reports.

Officials are baffled over the identity of the benefactor or any
motives, the reports said. Packages turned over to police were to be kept for
some time in case someone claimed them.

Deadly Pakistan Mosque Siege Ends

"This (mosque attack) is part of our government's action against religious
elements to please America," said Shabbir Khan, a lawmaker from an opposition
Islamic party, at the demonstration.

About 15 other Islamic opposition lawmakers gathered in front of the
Supreme Court in Islamabad, blaming Musharraf for Pakistan's troubles, including
the mosque attack, and calling for his resignation.

In neighboring Afghanistan, a senior Taliban commander, Mansoor Dadullah,
urged Muslims to launch suicide attacks on Pakistani security forces, calling
the assault "a cruel act."

"I would have sent 10,000 mujahedeen to support the (Red Mosque) students
but we are busy in Afghanistan and Islamabad is far from Afghanistan. I wished
to go myself to support them
," he told The Associated Press by telephone.

Oh yeah, a brave one, that one. What the AP isn't saying is that their crack reporter was probably sipping an espresso just off the dangerous Piazza Navona and the brave murderer Dadullah was calling from his headquarters in a Starbucks in Istanbul where he defending his faith by buying little girls. And I'm not talking about his Starbucks Coffee Liqueur.

World Map of Freedom

For a 2007 map Go HERE

If Congress succeeds in its desire to run away from Iraq, Afghanistan and the Greater War on Terror, the map may change considerably in the near future.

Not coincidentally, countries subjugated by Islamofascists will be colored green.

Republican Chicken Littles and the Personal Power of Cowardice II

Do Senators and Representatives actually read the Iraq reports that are delivered to them or are they just listening to staffers that slavishly watch network news as if theirs jobs depend on it? If so, their jobs are safe for a while, but also so are our lives as we know them.

I propose pop quizzes on the floors of Congress with public grading on C-SPAN. Those who fail should get swats in the well aired on network nightly news right after the film by al Qaeda segments are aired.

How Al Qaeda is Winning Even as it is Losing

But al Qaeda's largest harvest from "random slaughter" strategy was realized in America. Through acts of indiscriminate violence transmitted by the media, insurgents brought their war to America's living rooms. The atrocity-of-the-day is the principal informational input most Americans receive. This forms their knowledge base. The public does not live in the villages and mahalas of Iraq. Patterns of recovery, of normalcy, are not evident.

This is the essence of 4th Generation Warfare. And al Qaeda is clearly winning
it. . . . Al Qaeda is running its war on smoke and mirrors - or, more accurately, on bytes of sound and sight. Congress could act on General Petraeus' reports from the ground, rather than broadcasts generated by insurgents. This requires a simple commitment - one foreign to many in the elective branch: Leadership.

Republican Chicken Littles and the Personal Power of Cowardice

It is a given that the MSM is doing all it can to undermine educational efforts, welfare reform, cutting tax rates and Iraq, in short, any program supported by President Bush, because they hate President Bush. The elected officials in Congress should be working for the security and the betterment of the United States of America, but they are more interested in elections and power. In short, most of them have become partisan hacks that hump special interest projects, earmarks and whatever else they feel they need to give them more power to make them more important to their party by making their party more powerful.

This has traditionally been a Democrat persona, but Republicans have defied the physics of stupidity and caught up in record time

To the point here, the Republicans that are squealing like scared piglets that the sky is falling in Iraq are moral and political cowards. Their cowardice is nestled in their arrogance of power and importance. In their helping the forces of chicken littles to gain a personal victory they have fashioned their own legacy. They are the Benedict Arnolds of today without the gall of Benedict Arnold.

Tygrrrr Express states it very well:

Given that all we are dealing with is the fate of the free world and
civilization versus death, destruction and barbarism, I think I will trust
General Petraeus and the soldiers with boots on the ground to handle this
matter.

We can either support General Petraeus, and contribute to saving
the world, or we can undermine him. When the history books are written, those
who chose to undermine him will be seen as uglier than the souls of those
currently at antiwar rallies.

Mr. President, you picked the right man for the job. My friends and
I are going to patiently back him, and are confident that he will deliver the
desired results in due time.

Good luck to both of you. You deserve nothing less.

Candidates Flock to First Ever Amish Debate

Presidential Candidates In First Ever Amish Debate

(Plain City, Ohio) For the first time the leading candidates for the presidency will hold a televised debate devoted solely to Amish issues.

The one-hour event will be held on August 9 and broadcast on Amish network DARK at 9:00 pm ET (6:00 pm ET) and through live streaming yelling at Amishoffline.com for people outside the event.

Ron Paul, Jim Gilmore, Tom Tancredo and Sam Brownback have confirmed they will participate. Several other Republican candidates also may join the debate. Newt Gingrich, who in the past has underwritten several grants for horse mechanics programs, who is said to considering an appearance stated “You can't trust anybody with power which is why all Americans love horse and buggies”

The debate will be conducted with a live audience in Plain City at the Der Dutchman Restaurant. On the panel questioning the four Republicans will be Amish Defense League president Friedrich von Steuben and seamtress Esther Stoltzfus.

The debate was put together by DARK and ADL.

"In the 2008 presidential election, issues of concern to the Amish community have already been at the forefront of the national conversation,” said von Steuben.

"From the repeal of “Don’t Cask, Don’t Yell” to the recent signing of apple butter legislation in Pennsylvania, there is no doubt that voters will demand answers to important questions affecting our community."

The panelists in a statement said they plan to cover a range of issues including inter-family relationship recognition, Hochmut and Demut, workplace fairness and child labor laws, current conscientious objector status, buggy safety, Ellis-van Creveld syndrome and other important issues such as Rumspringa.

The Amish vote is considered a decisive electoral force and according to exit poll data make up an unknown percent of the voting population.

Plain City was chosen as the site for the event because of the city's outstanding Snicker Doodles, Chow Chow and Schnitz and Knepp. Besides, if the debate were held in Columbus, it would be all night getting home.

"We're honored to give the presidential candidates an historic opportunity to share their views directly with the Amish audience," Amos Stoltzfus, Elder, Entertainment, DARK Networks Music Group, and Elder, DARK said in a hand written statement.

"This forum continues DARK Networks’ tradition of engaging vital niche audiences with voting and the electoral process. It's just too darned sad that we have no broadcasting equipment, but heck, no Amish have televisions. It's like, stups, no electricity"

In addition to questioning by von Steuben and Stoltzfus people will be able to pose their own questions through DARKoffline.com and ADL.org representatives who will be taking notes outside the restaurant prior to the event.

Republicans Piddling Themselves for Peace Reelection

Weak Kneed RINOs United For Losing

Still, the one factor that could give the Democrats their biggest boost is also the one that’s largely beyond their capacity to control. If more Republicans break ranks and call on Bush to start bringing troops home from Iraq, as Sens. Richard
G. Lugar
of Indiana, George V. Voinovich of Ohio and
Pete V. Domenici of New Mexico have already done, Democrats might not have to spend as much of their limited time on efforts to end the war.

Episcopals United Against Jesus and Victory in Iraq

Okay, I was on the high seas of Erie which means my cell and my puter didn't work. Thankfully the bottle opener, the on board grill and the compass did. My best friend and his wife, both liberals of the nth degree, graciously invited my wife and I for a long sail, good conversation and vast amounts of fun with drink, food and friends and no politics.

Bonus points were scored when mRed Jr (who has me by 4"s) and girlfriend joined us all on Kelley's Island where he immediately brought up just how stupid liberals were for wanting to lose in Iraq. The wife and I immediately ran for the bar as a Canadian couple joined the ensuing argument over Amerinazis. My friend, who is a practicing non-practicing Episcopalian, and wife quickly joined us to commence a nonstop communion of shots stated that the Church we both grew up in had become a joke which made the communion quip relevant. I let it slide until this morning I came across this article.

Episcopal priest suspended after saying she also is Muslim

The Rev. Ann Holmes Redding must take a year from her position at
Seattle's St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral and should "reflect on the doctrines of
the Christian faith, her vocation as a priest, and what I see as the conflicts
inherent in professing both Christianity and Islam," the Rt. Rev. Geralyn Wolf,
bishop of the Diocese of Rhode Island, wrote in an e-mail to church
leaders.

dotdotdot

"Since entering Islam," she told the newspaper, "I have been, by my own
estimation, a better teacher, a better preacher and a better
Christian."

dotdotdot

Since being suspended from the priesthood, Redding said, she realizes
many believe "the last thing the church needs to deal with at this time is this
type of doctrinal dispute. I wish it could've been at a more convenient time,
but as far as I know I am responding to God's will and God's timing."

Doctrinal dispute? Convenient time? God's will? Does this babe moonlight as a vegan reviewer for Ruth's Chris?

No wonder the episcopal church is no longer a Church.

My son made the Canadians beat a hasty retreat by using facts and joined us. It was fun and even my friend and his wife had to chuckle.

Did I mention his girlfriend is smart and beautiful.

The breakdowns:

Republicans.

Giuliani has the support of 30% of "Republicans and Republican
leaners," vs. 28% a month ago; Thompson comes in with 20%, vs. 19% in June;
McCain has 16%, vs. 18% a month earlier.

Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney remains in fourth, at 9%
vs. 7% in June.

The current numbers for the rest of the Republicans included in the
survey: Former House speaker Newt Gingrich, 6%; former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, 2%; Rep. Duncan Hunter, 2%; Rep. Tom Tancredo, 2%; Sen. Sam Brownback, 1%; Sen. Chuck Hagel, 1%; former Wisconsin governor Tommy Thompson, 1%. Neither former Virginia governor Jim Gilmore nor Rep. Ron Paul registered any support.

None of the Republican numbers change significantly if Gingrich is
removed from the poll. The survey of 394 Republicans and voters who "lean"
Republican has a margin of error of +/- 5 percentage points.
