December 7th, 1941, A Day Of Infamy

When the 7th of December 1941 was over, it was clear that the Japanese had delivered a tremendous blow to the United States. Five battleships were sunk or sinking, three destroyers were wrecked, a minelayer and target ship had capsized, two cruisers were badly damaged and many other ships needed repairs. Hawaii-based Navy and Army aviation was also greatly diminished, feeding a sense of defenselessness and defeat that greatly exceeded the realities of the situation.

Fortunately, the Japanese Navy's limited objectives, and limited resources, had left Pearl Harbor's industrial and logistics capabilities essentially intact. Repair efforts began almost immediately, with major salvage projects following as quickly as resources allowed. For the moment, however, with fires out and sunken ships awaiting salvors, Navy photographers, who had done such a remarkable job of recording the events of 7 December, continued their efforts to capture images of the results of the "Day of Infamy" to meet immediate official requirements, and the needs of posterity.

I would call Bill Ayers a loser of the worst ilk, that he is a murderer and that he has wasted not just his life, but those that he has influenced with his horse crap, but that would might make him mope.

Auto bailout could be tied to gov't-run overhaul

The government would order a major restructuring of Detroit's struggling Big Three auto companies in exchange for a multibillion-dollar bailout under a plan circulating in Congress.

Skeptical lawmakers are weighing whether to dole out as much as $34 billion in aid to the automakers as the once-mighty companies make their second round of pleas for government help to keep them from collapsing by year's end and potentially deepening an already painful recession.

With several lawmakers in both parties pressing them to consider a pre-negotiated bankruptcy - something they have consistently shunned - members of Congress and the Big Three both were contemplating a government-run restructuring that would yield similar results, including massive downsizing and labor givebacks.

U.S. auto executives were appearing before the House Financial Services Committee for the second time to outline their plans for staying afloat with a government infusion.

"We're looking at a death sentence" for the auto companies, Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., the Senate Banking Committee chairman, said Thursday, pledging to try to help the Big Three. He quickly added, "I'm not a miracle worker and no one here is."

Maybe Chris Dodd can do for the auto industry what he has done for the mortgage industry. If so, look for him to be driving a lot of Detroit chrome Moskvich for pennies on the dollar and a monthly payment of about a buck-two-ninety-eight.

For a while there this afternoon, President-elect Barack Obama's immensely talented chief speechwriter, 27-year-old Jon Favreau, might have been pondering how to address that question.

That's when some interesting photos of a recent party he attended -- including one where he's dancing with a life-sized cardboard cut-out of secretary of state-designate Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, and another where he's placed his hand on the cardboard former first lady's chest while a friend is offering her lips a beer -- popped up on Facebook for about two hours. The photos were quickly taken down -- along with every other photo Favreau had of himself on the popular social networking site, save for one profile headshot.

Personally, I wouldn't mention the word 'headshot' when discussing a Clinton. It's too dangerous as we have seen in the past.

Proposed fee on smelly cows, hogs angers farmers
For farmers, this stinks: Belching and gaseous cows and hogs could start costing them money if a federal proposal to charge fees for air-polluting animals becomes law.

It would require farms or ranches with more than 25 dairy cows, 50 beef cattle or 200 hogs to pay an annual fee of about $175 for each dairy cow, $87.50 per head of beef cattle and $20 for each hog.

The executive vice president of the Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation, Ken Hamilton, estimated the fee would cost owners of a modest-sized cattle ranch $30,000 to $40,000 a year. He said he has talked to a number of livestock owners about the proposals, and "all have said if the fees were carried out, it would bankrupt them."

Sparks said Wednesday he's worried the fee could be extended to chickens and other farm animals and cause more meat to be imported.

"We'll let other countries put food on our tables like they are putting gas in our cars. Other countries don't have the health standards we have," Sparks said.

EPA spokesman Nick Butterfield said the fee was proposed for farms with livestock operations that emit more than 100 tons of carbon emissions in a year and fall under federal Clean Air Act provisions.

The fee would cover the cost of a permit for the livestock operations. While farmers say it would drive them out of business, an organization supporting the proposal hopes it forces the farms and ranches to switch to healthier crops.

"It makes perfect sense if you are looking for ways to cut down on meat consumption and recoup environmental losses," said Bruce Friedrich, a spokesman in Washington for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

This Christmas the group is selling gift certificates that can be used for different procedures including abortion, but Planned Parenthood is known as the place to get an abortion.

A number of Planned Parenthood clinics in Indiana and Illinois are offering gift certificates for their services this Christmas.

Officials say the vouchers enable people to give their loved ones "the gift of life" — that would help pay for annual checkups and birth control — but also can be used for abortions.

Chrystal Struben-Hall with Planned Parenthood of Indiana said the idea is a response to economic woes that have forced many women to put health care at the bottom of their to-do list.
"People are making really tough decisions about putting gas in their car and food on their table," Struben-Hall said.

Planned Parenthood said the stocking-stuffers — that range in value from $25 to $100 and can be ordered online — are redeemable for health services at clinics throughout the two states and can go to any service offered. "We decided not to put restrictions on the gift certificates, so it’s for whatever people feel they need the services for most," Struben-Hall said.

The group opposes restrictions on abortion, including:

laws requiring parental consent or notification for girls under the age of 18 (or 17 in some states) to have an abortion

laws requiring an ultrasound before abortion (many Planned Parenthood clinics perform, but do not require, ultrasounds)

laws requiring a waiting period (ranging from a couple of hours to a day or more)

reporting cases of statutory rape to the authorities

They're also a great group of people:

Planned Parenthood of Idaho was offered a donation if it could be earmarked for abortions for black women because as the caller stated, "the less black kids out there the better." Answering the phone call, the organization's vice president of development and marketing said, "Understandable, understandable" and continued, "Excuse my hesitation, this is the first time I've had a donor call and make this kind of request, so I'm excited and want to make sure I don't leave anything out."

One can see their sensitivity just glowing for the Christmas season. In Planned Parenthood's 2006-2007 report it was stated that they performed 289,750 abortions making about $119.6 million in revenue. That's quite a Christmas present of death for the season of celebrating He that brought us life.

Planned Parenthood employee tells "13" year old to lie about "31" year old father
A local Planned Parenthood employee has been suspended after the release of a video surreptitiously shot at a clinic which shows a woman who identifies herself as a 13-year-old being given advice that is a violation of the organization’s policies.

In the video, the “patient,” who is accompanied by another female identified as a friend, states that her name is Brianna. She tells the nurse she is 13 years old and has missed her monthly period. The nurse responds that anyone under the age of 13 needs parental consent to get an abortion in Indiana. “Brianna” further reveals that she doesn’t want to explain who the father is because he could get in trouble. She later says that the father is 31 years old.

In the video, which has breaks and cuts, the nurse advises how to lie about the father’s age. The “patient” is then shown a piece of paper which Rose alleges showed her that she could get an abortion in Illinois without parental consent.

Planned Parenthood had suspended this employee because she broke the rules. Ms Rose, the "13" year old is actually an 18 year old college student, says that this practice of helping underage children to lie to law enforcement, lie to their parents and how to get abortions out of state.

The Auto Industry as National Security? Nah.

Read a reach today supporting the necessity of an auto industry bailout because the auto industry refuses to be part of our national security effort and that its product was the cause of the murders on 9/11 by the cowards of Islamofascism, but with government bureaucrats telling the auto industry how to do their business it will become the shining beacon of global warming protection, reap more profits and finally get on board as a protector of our national sercurity.

The logic is impeccable if one wishes to engage twisted logic to support one’s position that wants the federal government making auto industry business decisions to support a special interest group’s goals while at the same time paying back unions for blackmailing that industry into bankruptcy, because the bailout will help an industry that has refused to contribute to our nation’s national security, indeed has put our nation at risk. The Big Three wanted a loan to retool which congress gave them to the tune of $25 billion. It was a mistake to give them the loan before they resolved their labor problems, i.e., the unions.

To force unionism onto workers and industry alike, the unions, the jackboot wing of the Democrat Party, want secret balloting done away with in order to allow union enforcers to harass and bully workers that do not want a union. Now, the unions want to tie the destruction of the secret ballot to a bait and switch of altering that loan into a governmental, i.e., Democrat Party payola, bailout to protect the union’s sweetheart pensions and benefit deals now that they have sucked the Big Three dry. They have finally realized their sugar daddy may not be able to continue to support them in the fashion with which they have made themselves accustomed.

If American industry is not strong, America cannot be strong. That is the real national security issue. So why not drop the lies about America needing other countries for oil and gas that is forcing us to build “green” feel good cars and trucks for our national security. We can use our buying power as a tool to spread freedom throughout the world, thus really increase our national security.

Trying to tie the necessity of bailouts to the auto industry and the auto industry to national security is a bogus argument to blackmail the American people into believing the government must control and run industry. That the bailout to the auto industry might not even go to the auto industry, but to unions that want the money for themselves is such a big lie, it might just work.

So why not drop the lies about America needing other countries for oil and gas so we need to build “green” feel good cars and trucks. We can drill here, logically produce new cost efficient power tools and we can use our buying power as a tool to spread freedom throughout the world thus really increasing our national security as we depose leftist dictators and thugs.

Promised land? Vision? Loaded words for a loaded article, but let's go with what they have served up.

"public land protections from logging and oil drilling" - a multi-goodness path that will kill the coal, oil, auto and logging industries while enriching "green" industries who support a liberal/progressive view of America. A win-win for those attempting to put a lock on power and those wanting to get wealthy from those in power. A lose-lose for America.

"easier union organizing of workers" - pure payola for the goon stepping union bosses which will take away privacy and the ability to resist unionism. It will kill off the industries that unions haven't already destroyed.

The upside for liberal/progressives is that the government will have to take more control of industry, business and our personal lives as these few "change" items start crippling our economy more than they have already, but isn't that what they planned?

Judge says perfume lawsuit can proceed
A Detroit city planner says co-worker's scent interferes with job performance, breathing.

Alison Johnson, chairwoman of the Chemical Sensitivity Foundation in Topsham, Maine, said she welcomes Zatkoff's decision to let the lawsuit proceed.

"These perfume sensitivities are very real, and I can't tell you how many lives they are ruining," Johnson said. "Maybe there's beginning to be recognition that these things are serious."

McBride is seeking unspecified damages. Thompson said the major goal of the lawsuit is not monetary damages but "to educate people about the issue and seek voluntary compliance, where possible."

The city is continuing to fight the lawsuit, which could be headed to trial next year.

What will they go after next? Garlic, B.O., onions, and offensive thoughts? Oh, wait. They're already litigating offensive thoughts, but they won't go after our fat and smelly government(s) that illegally interferes in our daily lives.

FGCU administration has banned all holiday decorations from common spaces on campus and canceled a popular greeting card design contest, which is being replaced by an ugly sweater competition. In Griffin Hall, the university's giving tree for needy preschoolers has been transformed into a "giving garden."

The moves boil down to political correctness.

"Public institutions, including FGCU, often struggle with how best to observe the season in ways that honor and respect all traditions," President Wilson Bradshaw wrote in a memo to faculty and staff Thursday. "This is a challenging issue each year at FGCU, and 2008 is no exception. While it may appear at times that a vocal majority of opinion is the only view that is held, this is not always the case."

How's this for honoring and respecting? And these clowns are "educating" our young adults. They can't read, do math or think for themselves, but they'll be able to pontificate on how evil America and Christians are.

The Ohio State University Versus Whatever From Michigan

Tom Blogical mentioned I hadn't written anything about The Game and he is right. If you have to ask what is The Game, you have the disappointing karma to not be from Ohio. Sorry, but I cannot help you with that. I was born and raised here in the great state of Ohio and, yes, I thanked God for it for many reasons, but mostly because I am a Buckeye.

People joke that a buckeye is a bitter and useless nut which is untrue. It has many uses such as stunning fish and other smelly things, but mostly it is a good-luck charm that actually works. It is no joke that a wolverine is smelly, mangy and general nuisance to all that come in contact with it, but at least a wolverine will skulk away when it comes in contact with its betters which includes all other life forms. It is said that a wolverine could attend another college except for the fact that those other colleges do not allow wolverines crayons for school work nor for snacks before their afternoon nap.

I started watching the OSU VS Michigan game before God made dirt which was when I was young. My father, a graduate of The Ohio State University and Medical School, took me to my first game before I was one year old. It is a lesson that has stayed with me ever since. A young Hop Cassidy almost single handedly beat Michigan proving a single OSU player could beat 11 Michigan players. My father proudly reported that when Michigan scored a touchdown that I filled my diapers with a stands clearing deposit. Michigan didn't score again that game and I like to think I had a small part in that victory because my Dad said I had the "poop" on Michigan from the get go.

My son, a graduate of The Ohio State University who roomed with Hawk who I witnessed eating a 2 lb London Broil by himself at my table, is on his way with a few hundred of his friends for our annual Beat Michigan Party here at the house.

This is The Game and I love it. It is also a reminder that God is always right. Why else would I get to be with my son remembering my father as we eat tons of food grilled in the cold with Buckeyes from all over the state watching the world order be reaffirmed as OSU beats Michigan?

Dad could not get to town (4 miles) for four days, then he had to use the tractor and go across pastures and fields. The drift on which I am squating is over 5 feet tall. When Are We Law Abiding/Tax Paying Citizens Going To Stand Up To the Loud Lunatic Fringe Taking Over America?
I'm sick of hearing that I as a Christian and conservative am the shame of my party who wants to ram morality down the country's throat because I oppose abortion, gay marriage and partial term abortion. Even as the name of God is eradicated from every public arena on every courthouse, in every school and every public discourse and the agenda of a woman's right to choose to abort through the 9 (!) month of pregnancy is a policy our new president supports I shrink back? No way. I'm getting angry and staying angry about this. I hope you will too.

This is what we need to do. Though it is not just the left fringe we need to fight back against.

There are those, who are mathematically challenged, amongst Republicans that believe they can win without social conservatives. Obama didn't win Ohio as much as McCain lost Ohio because those social conservatives that voted for Bush in 2004 didn't come out for McCain. The base of the Republican Party, social conservatives, didn't pull that lever. They had no reason to.

The same people that say the party needs to marginalize social conservatism, also say we need to look outside our traditional base and focus on just being fiscally conservative. Again, their math doesn't stand. How can one be fiscally conservative when one can't do the basic math of vote counting? I suppose that is why we need all those extra government bureaucrats, so they can count. They must now be doing the math the same way they did the math for the last election. McCain tried the outside our traditional base thing, but apparently it didn't work out so well. Democrats may have a base that can be bought for a few government trinkets, but no fiscal conservative could even ethically think this way and social conservatives cannot be bought. Their beliefs are their life and government is a necessary evil which should be chained and suppressed.

The math also tells us that we lost fiscal conservatives as well. Many of them are now saying they want to form third parties. We lost them because our elected republicans forgot to be Republican when they started spending like drunken bums using our money to build 'bridges to nowhere' and getting buildings named after themselves just like the Democrats they had become. Third party math is just as bad as the little 'r' republican math. Third parties are exactly what the now in power liberals want on our side. Divide and conquer.

Another cry I hear, which liberals love to gloat over, is that younger demographic groups won't vote for social conservative candidates. That is not true. They will vote for those they trust and believe in. Younger Republican or conservative voters will not vote for hypocrites nor those they feel are pandering to them. If they are not moved to support a candidate they will just stay home or, in some cases, they will react to peer pressure and vote for the opponent. Why would these voters vote for 'fiscally conservative' Republicans that are spending like power drunk liberals? They have seen the hypocricy and they shunned it the same way they'd shun a lecture on sobriety from a parent downing their 3rd martini for the evening.

So, how about we frame the argument properly. Without their base Republicans cannot win. It may be that much money comes from the 'only fiscally conservatives', but it is the socially conservative, i.e., socially responsible and active, base that not only gives money, but also knocks on doors, mans the phone banks, fills campaigns with volunteers, completes the GOTV and talks to friends and family to network for candidates. Besides, why would anyone think they are mutually distinct groups. All of the social conservatives I speak to are also fiscal conservatives, but not all fiscal conservatives are social conservatives.

The argument should be why haven't fiscal conservatives fully embraced social/fiscal conservatives to lead our nation back to prosperity and strength? Oh, and to win elections.

The base of the Republican Party is the social conservative movement, so actually it is just few party leaders trying to cover their butts for screwing up. Without social conservatives the Republican Party is just a group of country club people who will stay in the political wilderness for years.

The next four years are going to be trying times for conservatives. Especially amongst themselves. Unite and win or be divided and conquered. It is our children's future that we are abandoning or protecting. Your choice, but if you can't unite against Pelosi, Obama and Reid, you're not a conservative. You're a moron.

President Of The United States Of America, George Soros?

I wrote about Podest's Soros' group, the Center for American Progress (CAP), which seemingly rose from nothing to be a powerful player in just 5 years Here. Soros is making sure his vision of what America should look like domestically will be coordinated through his CAP.

Along comes another group with tentacles reaching down into the most horrific and anti-freedom places on earth to find friends and allies, The International Crisis Group (ICG). Yes, it is another George Soros funded group and it appears that while CAP is giving Obama direction domestically, ICG is giving direction in international matters and national security.

Obama’s One-Stop Shop for Foreign Policy Advisers
The ICG is formally based in Brussels but has offices around the world (Washington, D.C., of course, is a major office). These offices are prominent in various “hot spots” in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East since the stated mission of the group is “conflict resolution.” Indeed, the group might be considered a proto-State Department. It has a roster of foreign policy analysts who travel throughout the world, meeting with political and other leaders to try to bring about “change.”

This group also has ties to Barack Obama. One of its major donors is prominent Obama supporter George Soros, who received a “Founders Award” from the ICG. He also serves on its board and executive committee. Indeed, the ICG was founded by former UN official Mark Malloch Brown, whose involvement in the oil-for-food scandal and close ties to George Soros were controversial enough to merit editorials in the Wall Street Journal and other media outlets.

What will Biden do with all of this expertise telling Obama what to do? There are only so many funerals he can attend. This makes Joe Biden superfluous in a way even Joe hasn't been able to accomplish prior to being elected to the Vice Presidency.

It also appears that this "change" Obama is about to embark on also makes the American voter superfluous.

Who Knew Obama? Not Me. Not Thee.

Virginia AG Credits Local, State Officials with Capturing Sex Offenders in Illegal Immigration Crackdown
Violent sex offenders who are also illegal aliens in Virginia were identified, located, and deported thanks to a well-coordinated joint operation earlier this year involving both state and federal officials.

The effort should serve as a model for immigration enforcement throughout the United States, Bob McDonnell, Virginia’s Republican attorney general, told CNSNews.com in an exclusive interview.

“Operation Cold Play” made it possible for the U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency to place 171 convicted criminal alien sex offenders into deportation proceedings thanks in large part to local and state involvement in the investigation, McDonnell explained in an email.

After examining the birthplace of each offender in Virginia’s sex offender registry, state police shared the information with ICE agents, who then cross-checked the information with their own databases.

The joint effort between Virginia and ICE was part of a larger federal initiative called Operation Predator, which was launched in 2003 for the purpose of targeting child pornographers, human traffickers and smugglers.

Taxes Are Killing US

I added two (2) rooms to my house and the county raised my property taxe 66%. When I objected, I was led to believe that a responsive government was being lenient by reducing that increase to 63% and that I should be grateful.

This project kept 3 men employed for months as well as the owner of the construction company. The electric contractor had 4 workers. The HVAC contractor had 3 men. The company that installed the plumbing and gas lines included 3 men. That's 13 people working, earning a good wage and paying taxes.

Then there were the people that worked at the lumber yard and those who delivered the trusses, joists, roofing, studs, flooring material, windows, insulation, dry wall, paint, masonry, doors, lighting and all the trim work. All of the material came from people working in industry, drivers making deliveries, lumber mills, lumberjacks, asphalt plants, gypsum companies, glass manufacturers, window and door companies, fiberglass plants, metal manufacturers, stone companies, wire mills, plastics and rubber companies and block and brick companies as well as the nails, screws, glues, door knobs, locks, hinges, light switches, thermostats, ceiling lights, pot lights, fireplace inserts and more. The number of workers involved? I'm not sure, but I know they all paid taxes as well as the corporate/business taxes their employers paid.

All of those workers bought things, such as food, dinners, goods and services for themselves from people who did the same and all paid taxes.

I pay 63% more property tax each year for improving our lives and I hope the lives of all the workers involved in my two (2) room addition to my home.

With this in mind, I came across a great article from a site I like, And You Thought YOU Were Cranky, that concerned just new taxes and doesn't have room to include all the taxes including state and local as well as county taxes, but it is a very good start:

Saying it's too presumptuous to go to freshman orientation, Minnesota Democratic candidate Al Franken is still gearing up for a victory in the tight Senate race against Sen. Norm Coleman.

Democrat Al Franken says he'll be in Washington, D.C., this week to meet with Democratic Senate leaders.

There's an orientation for new senators being held this week, but Franken told WCCO-TV on Sunday that it would be too presumptuous to attend the orientation with the race between him and Republican Sen. Norm Coleman still unsettled.

Coleman leads Franken by only 206 votes, and a statewide recount will be conducted starting this week to determine the winner.

Franken will meet with Senate leaders on Tuesday. Franken spokeswoman Colleen Murray says Franken has also hired a transition director so that if he comes out ahead after the recount, he will be ready to serve Minnesotans.

Al is obviously a graduate of the Reverend Jesse Jackson School of Government which makes Al even creepier.

Ohio Inspector General Tom Charles said his office is now looking at a half-dozen agencies that accessed state records on Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher.

The Beacon Journal has learned that, in addition to the Department of Job and Family Services, two other state offices — the Ohio Department of Taxation and Ohio Attorney General Nancy Rogers — conducted database searches of Joe the Plumber.

Wurzelbacher became an instant celebrity after he asked Barack Obama a series of questions in his Toledo driveway about the Democrat's tax policies.

In the third debate between Obama and Republican John McCain on Oct. 15, the candidates referred to Joe the Plumber more than 20 times.

The next day, the taxation department conducted two separate searches of a database of liens for unpaid taxes that were certified to the Ohio Attorney General's Office for collection.

It appears that the millions of dollars spent by Obama didn't seem enough. Nor the millions spent by groups like ActBlue, the unions and all the other out of state groups. The fraudulent voter registrations, students from everywhere but Ohio voting, busing people into the state to bus drunks and bums to the instant registration/vote stations and having the media in the tank for their boy seemed not enough.

Joe the Plumber must've swung a heavy wrench the day he questioned Obama. He scared them to death. So much so the little creeps had to search every nook and cranny of his life to try and smear him with their buddies in the media.

Rep. Dan Lungren, R-Calif., becomes the first rank-and-file House member to announce his intent to challenge the top House Republican in next week’s leadership elections. The No. 2 and No. 3 House Republicans have said they’re stepping down from their posts, but Boehner is seeking another term as minority leader.

“I am embarking on this effort because I think our Party is in trouble,” Lungren wrote in a letter to colleagues Friday afternoon. “If we don’t admit our difficulties and address them aggressively, we not only run the risk of becoming a permanent Congressional Minority but we will do a disservice to our nation.”

John Boehner is a great example of the American dream of pulling oneself up by the bootstraps and a damned fine legislator who knows the House of Representatives well. His staff is first rate and they assist him in not only representing his district, but also to represent a rock solid conservative view to Congress. In this task, based on good thinking and solid research, Rep. Boehner is able to work with all members because they respect and trust him as a honorable man. He also has a helluva sense of humor.

America didn't/doesn't know Obama. In a decisive campaign of ambiguity, Obama and his main man Axlerod, worked closely with the media to make the chimera man seem full of substance. Most of America has no idea who Obama really is nor are they aware of his proposed agenda. They all think they are getting something or, better yet, they are getting something for free. Boy, are all those voters going to be bummed.

Obama just don't-know. He isn't aware how systems work. He isn't aware of how Washington works. Not a clue on how the world works. He does know that if he wishes hard enough and clicks his heels three time he will get what he wants, just like college, law school, state elections, election to the US Senate and now, the Presidency of the United States of America. He believes that he accomplished all of this. By himself. Boy, is he going to be bummed.

The leaders of the free world and the leaders of countries that wish us ill do not give a whit about the "harsh" realities a community organizer brings to the table, affirmative action nor the magic of being Obama. America may yet exclaim, Boy, we are all bummed.

Less than a quarter of the $600 million Obama raised came from small donors. How many of those small donors gave way over the limit may never be known nor if they were legal citizens nor if they were members of groups and nationalities that oppose America. That's change, but not chump change.

All along we have been told that situations such as this has poisoned American politics. We've been told this by Democrats. The same Democrats that brought us Tammany Hall so I guess they know that of which they speak.

Everybody knows that money in politics is bad. Except when you need it. Then it's good. Like promising voters that you will pay them a lot of money if only they will vote for you. It's only fair that a candidate knows people are hurting when their cars are 3 years old and there is a bigger crisper flat screen TV that they could be watching while said candidate pays for their kids college. That's the reason to vote for him, because he understands your hurt. As usual, it is not about the money. Unless you are a bundler. Then cars, flat screen TVs and college are chump change.

Obama And National Service - Bribing America's Youth

Obama has backtracked, as usual once a campaign is over, on another campaign promise. This backtrack is concerning a mandatory community service corp much like those practiced in socialist countries with cult leaders.

Now, instead of forcing his vision down the throats of mere Americans that don't like government much, the One has clearly started emphasizing the carrot versus the stick to attract the young to his vision of a 'changed' America and he's doing it Chicago style. He's going to bribe them.

Obama’s Call for Community Service Is Not Marxism
There are already many high schools in the United States which require community service credit for graduation. Some schools require seniors to complete a project that includes some form of community outreach.

If the high school where my kids went or the high school where my grand niece, who is living with us, mandated this, I'd tell them to go to hell. This is a family decision and a family's teaching and is not the purview of a bunch of unelected faceless and nameless bureaucrats doing the bidding of a cult figure. It takes away freedom in the name of "freedom" and is un-American.

On the college level, Obama’s plan would ensure a $4,000 tuition credit to students who complete 100 hours of community service a year. With the cost of college education soaring, that $4,000 is like a windfall to a college student. The student would be rewarded monetarily, but the reward of completing service toward the community is something that will stay with them, as well as the community, forever. Service to others is a lasting gift.

So then, it's now not mandatory, but it's also not community service either. It can't be community service if students are getting paid for it. It's either paid service or a bribe.

This is not socialism. This is not Marxism. This is the mark of a country that knows it needs to rely on those who can to help those who can’t. It’s the mark of a country that knows it needs to depend on its citizens to make their communities flourish. It’s taking the “ask not what your country can do for you” attitude and transforming it into smaller clusters, where we ask what we can do for those we live with and around, instead of waiting for people to do for us. It’s how communities become stronger, how they grow, and how a strong, giving community makes for a strong, giving nation.

Community service is not a dirty word; nor is it an idea to be tossed aside because you don’t like who is delivering the message about it. Encouraging our youth to take part in something selfless is encouraging them to be better human beings. What could be better for this country?

It is on the road to socialism and community service has always been a laudable quality in America, much more so than any other country in the world, but community service has now become a buzz word for leftist causes and subtle indoctrination. That the left now wants to use bribes or make community service mandatory does not make a better human being nor is it any good for this country nor will it make this country better.

Take your idea and your bribe and shove it Obama.

Palin supporters said it's just people trying to scapegoat the governor for the unsuccessful presidential campaign.

Let's get the names of these "republican" losers attacking another Republican and publish them. Put up their pictures with the names. Name who is paying them, both openly and covertly. It's time for Republicans to quit acting like the opposition with all this skulldugery and back stabbing.

We have the ideas and the base of people are with Republicans as long as they don't act like liberals. Wales: Beaumaris Castle

Beaumaris Castle was built in Beaumaris, on the island of Anglesey, begining in 1295 for King Edward I by Master James of St George however it was never finished. The castle was the last of several castles built in the area designed to defend the royal home. Its design is of the double wall concept where the outer walls house an inside building which is effectively a very defendable castle unto it’s own. With 14 layers of defense Beaumaris Castle is considered near perfect.

Interesting fact: A “Gate-next-sea” protected a tidal dock that allowed ships to dock with the castle for re-supply.

The Pierce-Klingle House

The Pierce-Klingle House, or Klingle Mansion, is situated on Williamsburg Lane above the west bank of Rock Creek less than half a mile below Pierce Mill. Joshua Pierce, a son of the mill builder, built the house in 1823 and enlarged it by an addition on the west side 20 years later. The Pennsylvania Dutch-style structure is of blue and gray granite and encloses 10 rooms within its three stories. Queers Being Queer: Another Gender Bender Embarrassment For Obama

Queers show their power to disrupt a peaceful church service. An outstanding display of their self-believed power to quash the belief of others. Also an outstanding example of their inability to be part of grown up discussion.

Bash Back! Raises Hell at Anti-Queer Mega-Church
The Mount Hope Church is a deplorable, anti-queer mega-church in Lansing, Michigan. The church works to institutionalize transphobia and homophobia through several repulsive projects including organized "ex-gay" conferences and so-called "hell houses", which depict queers, trannies and womyn who seek abortions in hell. Mt. Hope is complicit in the repression of queers in Michigan and beyond.

Bash Back! ain't down with that. And so on Sunday November 9th, about thirty radical queers from Lansing, Chicago, Memphis and Milwaukee disrupted the church's most well-attended sermon.

At noon, a small group of folks dressed in pink and black, equipped with a megaphone, black flags, picket signs and an upside-down pink cross began demonstrating outside the church. The group was extremely loud and wildly offensive.

The demonstration drew a majority of Mount Hope's security staff outside to watch them.

Meanwhile, with the guards pre-occupied by the distraction, over a dozen queers had put on their Sunday-best and infiltrated the church's congregation. At the signal that the guards had been lured outside, the infiltrators sprung into action.

A group stood up, declared themselves fags, and began screaming loudly. Upon hearing the loud interruption, other affinity groups went into action. A team that had been hiding under the pews in the closed-off balcony dropped a banner and pulled back the curtains to reveal "IT'S OKAY TO BE GAY! BASH BACK!". Another group threw over a thousand fliers to the entirety of the congregation. The fire alarm was pulled. Queers began making out in front of the pastor. And within a matter of minutes, everyone had evaded the guards and made their escapes.

Bash Back! operatives, still hidden among the congregation observed a person screaming that Satan had come to Mount Hope, that the end was here, that the queers were everywhere. She then began speaking tongues. The dumbfounded pastor, after regaining his composure, went on to speak of the of decadent, depraved wolves that menace his flock of sheep.

Let it be known: So long as bigots kill us in the streets, this pack of wolves will continue to BASH BACK!

We are everywhere.

After the just finished campaign where liberals purposely were as offensive as possible (it's their right you know)we now find just how deeply they uphold the rights of others to hold their own beliefs. Except, you know, if they don't agree. Then your beliefs suck and should be battered down publicly with hate crimes.

I love that liberals had to clarify and codify personal beliefs as hate crimes. Am I allowed to say that it has come full circle to bite them in the butt? Screw the pooch? Nah, never mind.

Ex Beatle Sir Paul McCartney was given a special gong at the MTV Europe Music Awards Thursday in his home city of Liverpool -- and used the event to hail US president-elect Barack Obama.

McCartney was presented with the Ultimate Legend Award, created especially for him, by U2 frontman Bono, who compared him to the pope and described his work as "immortal".

Accepting the honour, McCartney thanked fellow Beatles John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, adding: "Many years ago, there were four little boys born here in Liverpool and we went on to do quite well.

I was going to say he doesn't have a leg to stand on, but then I remembered reading that he's now divorced.

Some Blacks Not Getting Obama Victory

After the way the just ended campaign was shaped and conducted this was way too predictable.

Chicago: Arrests at Obama Victory Rally, Woman Yells "White [expletive], [expletive] McCain--you White Police Can't do Nothing Anymore"...Then Proceeds to Slap a White Cop.....
Celita Hart, 19, stood silently in court today when she appeared for a bond hearing.

Prosecutors said Hart, who is black, yelled " 'White [expletive], [expletive] McCain--you white police can't do nothing anymore.'" With that, she reached through the window of a squad car and slapped a white male officer in the face,according to Assistant State's Atty. Lorraine Scaduto.

The incident occurred after police responded to a crowd of people celebrating Obama's win on the corner of 69th Street and Western Avenue. Hart, of the 7100 block of South Rockwell Street, was charged with aggravated battery of a police officer and was ordered her held in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Others were arrested for popping off some victory gunshots to celebrate Obama's victory. This type of thinking is sad.
