Frank Rich, who finds odious all things conservative, has a new piece up which should delight his entire audience, his editors.
The All-White Elephant In The Room
Rich does an adequate job of minimizing the heart and the intellect of "conservative" evangelical preachers and those they endorse. Rich even has a theory of why Jeremiah Wright's video gets more play than Hagge's or Falwell's, it is Wright's histrionics and black-theater. Is Rich the reincarnation of Jimmy the Greek who portrays Wright and other black preachers as better and prettier because of their blackness and history of slavery? Probably. It is the type of cheap shot Rich employs often if he can squirm it in against white conservatives in a way as to not to appear racist himself. Rich loves his gotcha moments as proof of his moral insight of all that is wrong about America, but Rich gets to his point in the last paragraph;
Anyone who does the math knows that America is on track to become a white-minority nation in three to four decades. Yet if there’s any coherent message to be gleaned from the hypocrisy whipped up by Hurricane Jeremiah, it’s that this nation’s perennially promised candid conversation on race has yet to begin.
Abolitionists, the Civil War, Eisenhower and all the people working to put race in its place, no place, have not been candid. Only Rich and his rich intellectual friends discussing "race", global warming and other priority issues in their limousine's and jets, just out of hearing of their chauffeurs, have been candid in their speech and actions, but they never seem to notice the elitist purple donkey in their midst. That would just ruin their pâté de foie gras. Talk about tragedy.

Lizard Head, With Class, States Democrat Fears
The Democrats wanted to use the race card to their advantage and it became the wild card that has gone out of control and they're worried. So worried they push out their favorite junk yard dog, Mister James Carville, to try and take Obama down because Obama hasn't been following the Democrat script of being the party of race not the party that elects race except where it benefits the Democrat Party.
"The Republicans will eat him alive" is what the Clinton campaign is telling the superdelegates. Hillary is the tougher of the two, the candidate you want on your side in a knife fight, a gender reversal that prompts Carville to indulge in some ribald humor: "If she gave him one of her cojones, they'd both have two."
Besides implying that the title Ms is a misnomer in this race, Carville implies that Obama can't go for the kill. Saying someone from Chicago can't kill is like saying someone from Las Vegas can't play poker. An anamoly for sure.

So What If Pulled Pork Is Not Halal?
At least here in America. Halal can mean lawful or actions permitted by Shariah law without punishment imposed on the doer in many matters. We are not the Middle East. The right question is, is Islam as practiced worldwide, halal? Is it halal to keep your daughters stupid, pregnant and subservient? Is it halal to murder oneself to murder innocents for a bribe of 72 virgins? Is it halal to use death, dismemberment, beatings, threats, public humiliation and other crimes against others that one disagrees with?
If these things are halal then the hell with halal.
I bring this up because I received a question from a very thoughtful person concerning shariah or sharia law and the taking of America by Islam as they appear to be doing in Europe and Asia.
I think that we too will crumble without hardly a blink...what do you think?

I do not believe we will.
I have lived and worked in DC, LA, NYC, Boston, Taos and other places and there is a difference in thinking among certain circles. I feel sorry for those that, as a friend quipped, have become so urbane that they are insane. That said, there are differences between Butte, Paducah and Billings as well. Unlike Europe and Asia, America is ployglot both literally and figuratively. We are a united people in a united state of steel workers, bankers, soldiers, ranchers and doctors, lawyers and such.
The urbane insane love to quip that our founding fathers were just a bunch of dead white guys, ie, all alike. How intellectually shallow. To understand our founders is to know just how different they were except in the vision and determination to build a better nation. Some were wealthy, some became wealthy, some lost their fortune and some died. To say that Jefferson, Adams, Burr, Hamilton, Madison and Franklin were all the same is not ignorance, it is stupidity because even a fourth grader has readily at hand descriptions of each. Their differences were wedded together, often not too prettily, to shape a nation. Yes, they were that important that you can still see their prints in the mold of each new generation of Americans.
It is not that Americans want to be a Washington or a Jefferson, nor do they want to be a John Wayne, George Washington Carver, Clara Barton or a Ronald Reagan, but they do want to emulate them in passion, excellence and devotion to principle.
Islam in America so far has only had to deal with lawmakers, philosophers and the media. They best watch out when they start running into the America that remembers what America is and will become. America's greatest strength is not just its people, but those people's belief in God, liberty and their neighbors. That America will not swear or violate as they kill those that would harm America and the American dream.
To travel America is to be awed. Its beauty alone staggers the mind. Its differences all wedded together, sometimes not so prettily, is what makes it strong and wildly brilliant. The human race shares basic needs and desires, but here in America, as those basic needs are daily met, Americans reach for the sky in little and big ways.
My son, three generations out of the coal mines grinding down hope, is wrestling with the question of becoming a doctor, an economist or a rally race car driver. My father died young just as all the males in his family before him even though he was the first to graduate from high school, college and medical school and married "up" to my mother whose fore bearers settled Jamestown, Richmond and numerous other towns and regions. I think my family special, but they are not unique.
They are American.
Islamofacists cannot possibly understand that which is why they will fail in their violent hope of the caliphate including America. How could their tribal tradition ever hope to understand a southern lady marrying a hard scrabble boy from the streets of Akron whose son married an Italian girl from New York whose godfather was a Brooklyn cop named Leo?
Jen, we must always keep up our guard, but Tehran will never play in Peoria. If they ever try to go off Broadway they'll find that my uncle, Old Zeth, can still nail them in the eye at 10 yards with tabaccy or 100 yards with a single shot. It would be no matter to him except he'd have to put down his book and his pulled pork sandwich to deal with any halal crap which would make him cantankerous. Trust me. No one wants to try to make him mad twice. I got the welts as reminders, but I also have the love, the wisdom and the patriotism handed down by a long line of Zeths. So do you and the majority of Americans.

Church's Chicken Is Sharia?
I never liked Caribou Coffee, nor Starbucks, etal, but I love fried chicken. Church's has every right to do business as they see fit. I have every right to eat where I see fit. It won't be Church's.

But Page 16 of its prospectus may have left some would-be investors scratching their heads:
"Our compliance with Shari'ah principles may make it difficult for us to obtain financing and may limit the products we sell."

Arcapita's diverse holdings, which include Southland Log Homes, Cypress Communications, Church's Chicken and American Pad & Paper, show that a company with strict investment guidelines can succeed in the United States, the world's biggest --- albeit secular --- economy.
Arcapita Bank, founded in 1997 as First Islamic Investment Bank, had $2.3 billion in assets at the end of June.
I hope the Church's Chicken employee handbook doesn't mention sharia to resolve employee disputes. That could give a whole new meaning to chicken fingers.

When asked about President Bush's comments that having US troops in Iraq for another 50 years would be acceptable was, "Maybe 100. That's be fine with me. As long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed, that'd be fine with me, and I hope it would be fine with you, if we maintain a presence in a very volatile part of the world where al-Qaida is training, recruiting, equipping and motivating people every single day."
The quote, and the real intent of the quote, is obviously about stability in the Middle East, but Howard Dean twists it to his intent which is furthered by using terrorist footage of American troops being blown up.
Instead of addressing the obvious, that the "religious" terrorists are murderers that do not represent the majority of Iraqis, Howard Dean uses the murderers as an example of what will be the norm for 100 years.
This is negative campaigning at its worst and Howard Dean and Democrats should be ashamed, but as a fellow member of the United Church of Christ with Moyers, Obama and Jeremiah Wright there is little possibility that shame will cross his mind.

Barack Obama, D-Illinois, for his association with former Weather Underground member William Ayers. "Hillary is blind to her own roots in the sixties," Hayden writes. "She was in Chicago for three nights during the 1968 street confrontations. One-upmanship As Reconciliation
Wright at the National Press Club is doing his judgemental one man show. Chastising those that have not read what he has read or have taken away from their reading a different interpretation Wright is giving his interpretation of what the world should be. His world is worse off for white men, especially white American men according to the Black Liberation theology of Wright.
After listening to his speech I envision a train wreck at which the survivors are desperately looking at what should be done to clean up the mess of scattered ruin while the train engineer smugly avers that the mess is better understood when people apologize for the inherent wrongness of the way the system was built.

The Taliban and their al-Qaeda associates, in what they considered a master stroke, this year started to target the Western alliance's supply lines that run through Pakistan into Afghanistan.
Their focal point was Khyber Agency, in Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas, a key transit point for as much as 70% of the alliance's supplies needed to maintain its battle against the Afghan insurgency.
The spectacular blowing up on March 20 of 40 gas tankers at Torkham - the border crossing in Khyber Agency into Afghanistan's Nangarhar province - sent shock waves through the North Atlantic Treaty Organization-led (NATO) coalition. So much so that it made a deal for some supplies to transit through Russia, a much more arduous route.
The Torkham success was followed by a number of smaller attacks, and the Taliban's plan appeared to be going better than they could have expected.
Then came this week's incident in which the Taliban seized two members of the World Food Program (WFP) in Khyber Agency, and it became obvious the Taliban had been betrayed, and all for the princely sum of about US$150,000.
Their Khyber dreams are now in tatters.

I am sick of "green"
While working I have the news on. Every few minutes there are ads asking Americans to make our country green. On the news there are stories explaining how "green" is making America better as if it is fact.
Hour after hour. Day after day. Week after week. Month after month.

Bill Moyers provided a platform for Jeremiah Wright, a fellow pastor in the United Church of Christ, to continue his pr campaign to alter the meaning of his own words. As if words do not have meaning. BTW, I did say fellow pastor.
Rev. Wright says 'devious' forces behind use of his words against Obama
"I think they wanted to communicate that I am unpatriotic, that I am un-American, that I am filled with hate speech, that I have a cult at Trinity United Church of Christ," Wright said in the first interview he has granted since comments critical of U.S. policies surfaced on television and the Internet."
'And by the way, guess who goes to his church, hint, hint, hint?' That's what they wanted to communicate. They know nothing about the church."
Moyers is a member of Wright's denomination, the United Church of Christ.
Last year Moyers had a different tone.

Obama & The Amendments
Not a musical group as far as I know.
I have always loved listening to people whine about negative political advertising because the whiners are those that just got skewered. One step further, people whining about negative political advertising don't even know what real negative advertising is and what it is not.
If campaigner #1 does a bone head thing and campaigner #2 points it out, that is not negative advertising. If, after getting hit, campaigner #1 hits back with scurrilous nonsense, that is negative advertising
I am supporting John McCain, but I am allowed by the secret society of evil Republicans to disagree with him. Really, it's in the bylaws, but written only in lemon juice. John McCain is wrong about condemning the North Carolina ad about the ever entertaining Jeremiah Wright that shows Wright making a complete ass of himself. That they tie Obama to Wright is not by inference because it is a known fact. That Obama gave the "speech" not disowning Wright, but disowning his words is as disingenuous as Nana Pelosi lusting with love for the troops, but disowning their mission even though the objects of her lust are getting killed because of her public disowning of their mission. If Nana had done this on the streets of Little Italy while growing up in Baltimore a little old lady would have spanked her and told her to go home before she completely disgraced the neighborhood.
When the uproar over Wright started, Obama chief strategist David Axelrod asked his friends at Jasculca Terman -- a public affairs firm -- to advise Trinity on how to handle the crush of media coverage, and they did, pro bono. Jim Terman, the president of the firm, said, "We were not asked to provide our advice about the reported speech of Rev. Wright in Washington" and did not know about it until it was scheduled.
McCain denounced the North Carolina GOP party ad. "It's not the message of my campaign," he said. He wrote a letter to the state party chairman imploring them to pull the spot. The ad "degrades our civics," McCain said. The Republican National Committee also told the North Carolina party the ad was not "appropriate or helpful."
Obama, in Indiana, said he assumes if McCain "thinks that it's an inappropriate ad, that he can get them to pull it down since he's their nominee and standard bearer." The spot as I write this has not been pulled.
I'm pretty sure that McCain's understanding of the amendments, I'm thinking 10th here, is guiding his deploring, but not allowing his ordering that the ad be taken down. This is something Obama won't even try to understand because the federal government and its employees, elected and hired, can and should do what ever they want and the Constitution be damned.

Reid & Pelosi as well as Chuckie Schumer and others to call for an immediate withdrawal from Chicago, Iraq saying it is untenable and we, as a nation, should not be involved in a civil war.

Five people have been fatally shot on the South Side on Wednesday afternoon, a fire department source confirms. Police responded to reports of "multiple people shot" in the 7600 block of South Rhodes Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Marcel Bright said. The shooting took place inside a residence, he said.
Fat Jack Murtha in an uncoordinated echo stated that he is tired of gang members who he called "regional freedom fighters" being wantonly "murdered in cold blood" by uncontrollable Marines. When asked about reporters rolling their eyes every time Murtha opens his pork stuffed mouth, Pelosi got chaffed by her hair shirt, "This is not the American way," she said of a political climate she said brands those with dissenting views as unpatriotic, "but this is what's happening."
Pelosi later restated her support of the troops, but showed continued support for Murtha, her hatchet man, by saying that maybe it wasn't Marines murdering, that it could be Army, Navy or other BushCo-bot personnel like typical out-of-control police reminding reporters of her Rodney King stories.
Wednesday afternoon's shooting comes on the heels of a particularly violent weekend in the city. Between Friday night and early Monday morning, 36 people were shot in Chicago, nine fatally, and two people were stabbed.
Jay Rockefeller, extraordinaire inheritor of wealth and political power, mused that here in America we'd be really, really pissed if Chicago invaded us. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said with finality, "Chicago is lost and I tried to warn the president. He wouldn't listen to me".
Democrats in congress refuse to set any withdrawal time tables until the city and Cook County agree to give back a portion of patronage and other corruption dollars raised there since Mrs O'Leary's cow rebuilt the city.

Pennsylvania & Democrat Troubled Waters
People, especially those on the left, have a new mantra(s) that McCain's lead in some polls is a loss because of the Dem infighting. They love to add that voters do not want four more years of BushCo.
As is usually the case in the modern leftist movement know as the democratic Party they stare into their crystal ball with a myopia that is breath taking as we observe them divining the future.
The voter is asking whether they want another four years of the Clinton mindset without the political savvy of William Jefferson and with the bad characteristics of every horror picture's bumbler that always misreads the situation putting the good guys in further danger.
The voter is asking whether they want Obama's change for change sake when that change is pinioned to a history of sixties chaos and personal misjudgement so profound it stuns even those with a political tin ear.
Anyone who says that this candidate or that candidate will win in November is either speaking with God or is a moron. No liberal operative I know would bother to listen if God did speak to them. Any candidate that starts the post convention race politically exhausted, in dire need of huge chunks of change and hurt and damaged is logically fighting an uphill battle.
Hillary has the gumption, but does she have the strength?
Obama has the chutzpah, but does he have the savvy?
McCain does and he has survived very troubled waters.
As is usually the case in the modern leftist movement know as the democratic Party they stare into their crystal ball with a myopia that is breath taking as we observe them divining the future.
The voter is asking whether they want another four years of the Clinton mindset without the political savvy of William Jefferson and with the bad characteristics of every horror picture's bumbler that always misreads the situation putting the good guys in further danger.
The voter is asking whether they want Obama's change for change sake when that change is pinioned to a history of sixties chaos and personal misjudgement so profound it stuns even those with a political tin ear.
Anyone who says that this candidate or that candidate will win in November is either speaking with God or is a moron. No liberal operative I know would bother to listen if God did speak to them. Any candidate that starts the post convention race politically exhausted, in dire need of huge chunks of change and hurt and damaged is logically fighting an uphill battle.
Hillary has the gumption, but does she have the strength?
Obama has the chutzpah, but does he have the savvy?

ABC Debate Failed To Be Shill For Obama
Tom Shales is as reliable as my dogs. I know they'll bark if someone knocks on our door and I know if liberalism is not regaled as the law of reason that Shales will bay at the moon as if the moon gives a damn what Shales thinks. In both cases they think they are sounding a warning of some import. In one, the mailman is delivering the mail as he does with regularity and in the other Shales is delivering his message as usual, but without the hope of an interesting bit of news.
Why is it that liberals do not find it interesting that a presidential candidate has such a tin ear as to not have heard a racist message filled with hate for all things not colored and an antipathy for the nation that the candidate hopes to lead? How is that a Shales doesn't notice that a presidential candidate is lying when he said he didn't hear anything as he sat in a pew over twenty years nor understood that friendship with a domestic terrorist involved in murder is not a resume building occurrence?
I resent it when people look down their adopted urban nose at my beautiful little "provincial" village. I have a real problem with a pseudo preacher telling God to damn America. Alas, I may be provincial because when someone becomes an enemy of those I love they become an enemy of mine. Besides, assumed arrogance is such an ugly thing and should be reserved to those of an improperly formed mind, just as it has always been.
Arrogance, mixed with ingenuity, is a Shales message delivered with the regularity of a country postman being barked at by dogs.

The boyish Stephanopoulos, who has done wonders with the network's Sunday morning hour, "This Week" (as, indeed, has Gibson with the nightly "World News"), looked like an overly ambitious intern helping out at a subcommittee hearing, digging through notes for something smart-alecky and slimy. He came up with such tired tripe as a charge that Obama once associated with a nutty bomb-throwing anarchist. That was "40 years ago, when I was 8 years old," Obama said with exasperation.
Obama was right on the money when he complained about the campaign being bogged down in media-driven inanities and obsessiveness over any misstatement a candidate might make along the way, whether in a speech or while being eavesdropped upon by the opposition. The tactic has been to "take one statement and beat it to death," he said.
No sooner was that said than Gibson brought up, yet again, the controversial ravings of the pastor at a church attended by Obama. "Charlie, I've discussed this," he said, and indeed he has, ad infinitum. If he tried to avoid repeating himself when clarifying his position, the networks would accuse him of changing his story, or changing his tune, or some other baloney.
This is precisely what has happened with widely reported comments that Obama made about working-class people "clinging" to religion and guns during these times of cynicism about their federal government.
"It's not the first time I made a misstatement that was mangled up, and it won't be the last," said Obama, with refreshing candor. But candor is dangerous in a national campaign, what with network newsniks waiting for mistakes or foul-ups like dogs panting for treats after performing a trick. The networks' trick is covering an election with as little emphasis on issues as possible, then blaming everyone else for failing to focus on "the issues."
Maybe if Shales delivered a coupon for dog food mingled in with his message it would be of interest to those of "us" interested in the character of our candidates, but as a self annointed speaker of "them" Shales probably hates dogs too.

Berlusconi Win Of Little News To Liberal Press
Yesterday I wrote about Berlusconi winning in Italy and the politics of everybody has a party and a candidate. Ben Keeler has a good post about the media and their handling of two stories about the same man and the same office.
It was all over the news when pro-Bush ally Silvio Berlusconi of Italy resigned in 2006 - it was widely seen as a rebuke to Bush himself.Not a whole lot of news on his victory today and that his party is reclaiming power. Surprising.
Ben added this bit from the AP which seems to be a PR wing for Obama sometimes which makes this a little surprising.

America Needs More Options-More Parties?
There is some good news in this as Berlusconi is the best candidate, but the politics of Italy is what caught me eye. Maybe Jesse Ventura and all his buddies that bitch about John McCain can find some satisfaction in this.

Among the stories, both true and untrue, that I have heard was one that goes directly to the sensitivity of the press in the Dan Rather sense that the story is not true, but speaks to the truth.
As the story goes, as Mrs Lincoln left Ford Theater a reporter started to ask a question when a guard heatedly announced that her husband had just been shot. The reporter, always on the beat, immediately asked, "Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?"

Communist China Faked Tibetan Torch Attacks
Everybody is crying that the Olympics aren't political and politics should be left out of them. I say, meet and confront tyrants, liars and despots wherever they choose to rear their cowardly heads, especially when they lie to garner sympathy for their murderous ways.This one picture came to symbolize the heartless violence of the Tibetan protesters, thus justifying, in many people's minds, the paramilitary troops that China sent to harass, beat, and brutalize the protesters in other countries -- from France and London to the United States to South America:

Jeremiah Wright Was A Muslim & A Black Nationalist?
I mean, Jeremiah Wright was a Muslim and a black nationalist before he was a Biblical scholar who found that Jesus was actually a black African who was "sick of this sh*t!" This kind of trip is Jules Verne meets Jack Kerouac where Miss Daisy is told to shut up and drive. Or else.

As a result, over the years, Wright became not only Obama's pastor, but his mentor. The title of Obama's recent book, The Audacity of Hope, is based on a sermon by Wright. (It's worth noting, however, that, while Obama's book is a coolheaded appeal for common ground in an age of political polarization, Wright's sermon, "The Audacity to Hope," is a fiery jeremiad about persevering in a world of nuclear arms and racial inequality.) Wright is one of the first people Obama thanked after his Senate victory in 2004, and he recently name-checked Wright in his speech to civil rights leaders in Selma, Alabama.
The church also helped Obama develop politically.
But Obama was a Christian after he was not a Muslim. Was Wright a Christian before he was a Black Nationalist Muslim before he was a Biblical scholar who welcomed Hawaiian Harvard Obama into his new church to become an authentic African-American from the southside of Chicago, ie become part of a family he never had.

Jesse Ventura Is 'None Of The Above'
Jesse Ventura wants the presidential election to be more like a grocery store so people have more choices than just Coke or Pepsi because he is a fiscal conservative, but a social liberal. Well, isn't he special.
To add to his soft drink presidential choices Jesse thinks we should also have a "none of the above" flavor. His nattering on every possible venue shouldn't be considered as publicity for his book. His nattering should be considered moronic. Is it well intentioned? Don't care.

"I oppose the two-party system. All it is is more of the two-party dictatorship," he said. "What I wish we had on the ballot for all our elections is 'none of the above' so you could show you have no confidence in the government.
"It would be amazing just how often 'none of the above' would win ... the only difference I see is that if a Democrat wins (in November) our taxes will go up. That's not saying they spend any more or less than the Republicans but the Republicans put it on a credit card, or the national debt."
An electorate that relies, for the most part, on the main stream media to glean knowledge about two opposing candidates for president will be better off if they have more as well as an out if they don't know or care to make a decision? That's like giving a teenager the choice between cars in the garage and liquor in the cabinet for their drive to the prom. Aren't we in bad enough shape by letting the bureaucrats the run of the auto dealership and the liquor store while controlling the judicial process, using our money the whole time?
You want multiple choice, take a class or move to Italy since that's working oh so well for them. If we are to have weirdo candidates for weirdo voters to vote for and a none of the above choice for those too stupid or too lazy to make a choice, we're in trouble. Wait, we are in trouble, we may have Barr and Paul for starters.
Maybe we can add Daffy Duck and a Teletubby candidate for those that think we need more diversity in government just to round out the Jesse Ventura weirdo slate. Then we can add a Nazi candidate, a Communist, a Green and an Ayrian Nation candidate as well. Come on, this is fun. How about a Zuni Nationalist, a La Raza North American Unity Party candidate, a NAMBLA candidate to spread the love and a vegan Wiccan Nation Common Sense Party candidate for those that don't believe, but want to cover their bases type of voters. Don't forget the Goth Nation! If they win they can repaint the White House black, you know, for change. Real change.
Me, I'd like to continue what has made America strong, one man - one vote and a two party system. For those that can't make a decision or won't make a decision, they can exercise their "none of the above" by not voting for president. Otherwise they can stop screwing with our elections to sell books, get on television or to puff up their own self worth.
Work, support your family, understand the ramifications of your vote and be nice to people. If you want to get involved in party politics to make a change, that is great. If not, stop your bitching and your spewing of foolish ideas.

To add to his soft drink presidential choices Jesse thinks we should also have a "none of the above" flavor. His nattering on every possible venue shouldn't be considered as publicity for his book. His nattering should be considered moronic. Is it well intentioned? Don't care.

"I oppose the two-party system. All it is is more of the two-party dictatorship," he said. "What I wish we had on the ballot for all our elections is 'none of the above' so you could show you have no confidence in the government.

An electorate that relies, for the most part, on the main stream media to glean knowledge about two opposing candidates for president will be better off if they have more as well as an out if they don't know or care to make a decision? That's like giving a teenager the choice between cars in the garage and liquor in the cabinet for their drive to the prom. Aren't we in bad enough shape by letting the bureaucrats the run of the auto dealership and the liquor store while controlling the judicial process, using our money the whole time?
You want multiple choice, take a class or move to Italy since that's working oh so well for them. If we are to have weirdo candidates for weirdo voters to vote for and a none of the above choice for those too stupid or too lazy to make a choice, we're in trouble. Wait, we are in trouble, we may have Barr and Paul for starters.
Maybe we can add Daffy Duck and a Teletubby candidate for those that think we need more diversity in government just to round out the Jesse Ventura weirdo slate. Then we can add a Nazi candidate, a Communist, a Green and an Ayrian Nation candidate as well. Come on, this is fun. How about a Zuni Nationalist, a La Raza North American Unity Party candidate, a NAMBLA candidate to spread the love and a vegan Wiccan Nation Common Sense Party candidate for those that don't believe, but want to cover their bases type of voters. Don't forget the Goth Nation! If they win they can repaint the White House black, you know, for change. Real change.
Me, I'd like to continue what has made America strong, one man - one vote and a two party system. I Love Old Motels
Their architecture is fun. Not always good, but fun. Route 66 is the road of fame and movies, but the National Road, Route 40, has some really great things built that I remember from my childhood. In Appalachia there was the "Snake Pit" with giant snakes pictured on their signs for miles and miles and the snakes were about 10" in reality.
Near there is the Route 40 Motel. So incredibly ugly/fun architecture that I remember from childhood.
Here in Ohio Route 40 is very cool. As a child and until now with my wife and 
children I have loved going to the Ding Ho Chinese Restaurant on West Broad Street in Columbus, Ohio (Hint: Chicken with vegetables, Won Ton Soup and and egg roll). The family that still owns it are really good and fine people.

Personally I am aghast that I must wait for the announcement, but then I am also aghast that the ever lovely and vivacious Randi is gone.
Last week Air America suspended Randi Rhodes for abusive, obscene language at a recent public appearance in San Francisco which was sponsored by an Air America affiliate station.
Air America Media was informed last night by Ms. Rhodes that she has chosen to terminate her employment with the company. We wish her well and thank her for past services to Air America.
We will soon announce exciting new talent and programming that will accelerate Air America’s growth in the future.
Maybe it's not Eugene. Al Franken appears busy these days as well. Bill Maher is bearing his own cross of humor in real time to a Palestinian beat.
You know, maybe they have Lord Haw-Haw in the wings just waiting for the AA microphone. It'd be a step up for sure.

Obama, Clinton Make Fools Of Themselves In Front Of Patraeus And World

“I think it could be fair to say that it might well be irresponsible to continue the policy that has not produced the results that have been promised time and time again, at such tremendous cost to our national security and to the men and women who wear the uniform of the United States military.”
While Hillary debated the meaning of is, Obama called for his type of change in Iraq which strangely enough seems to be the benchmarks for a successful Barack Hussein Obama Administration.
“The problem I have is that if the definition of success is so high, no traces of al Qaeda and no possibility of reconstitution, a highly effective Iraqi government, a democratic multiethnic, multisectarian functioning democracy, no Iranian influence, at least not the kind that we like, then that portends the possibility of us staying for 20 or 30 years,” Obama said.
“If, on the other hand, our criteria is a messy, sloppy status quo, but there’s not huge outbreaks of violence, there’s still corruption but the country is struggling along, but it’s not a threat to its neighbors and it’s not an al Qaeda base, that seems to me an achievable goal within a measured time frame.”
Every nation should strive for a messy, sloppy status quo government. That should get the welfare checks there on time, eh?
It is way beyond belief that these people are running to be the leader of the free world which is the beacon of hope for citizens everywhere, they actually believe people will buy this crap.

While the crowd was indeed diverse, some students at the event questioned the practices of Mrs. Obama’s event coordinators, who handpicked the crowd sitting behind Mrs. Obama. The Tartan’s correspondents observed one event coordinator say to another, “Get me more white people, we need more white people.” To an Asian girl sitting in the back row, one coordinator said, “We’re moving you, sorry. It’s going to look so pretty, though.”
“I didn’t know they would say, ‘We need a white person here,’ ” said attendee and senior psychology major Shayna Watson, who sat in the crowd behind Mrs. Obama. “I understood they would want a show of diversity, but to pick up people and to reseat them, I didn’t know it would be so outright.”
Like most "diversity" programs this is all about numbers, but it upsets liberals if race based quotas are "so outright" as to become apparent.
Some see this much ado about nothing except to the "frustrated commentariat."

I'm not frustrated. I am not tired of this "endless campaign". I'm not looking for something - anything - to comment on. I don't have to, it comes to me just like "Get me more white people" has. And it does tell me something about the mindset and attitude of Democrats and of the Obama campaign. Campaign based racial quotas for public dissemination to unaware voters. Racial theater.
