WOW, HILLARY BEFORE HUCKABEE?

I have not come to this conclusion, but I do not nor will I ever support Huckabee. His history should not be our future.

I am hearing a lot of conservatives saying "uhuh", "nope" and "God help us" concerning Mike Huckabee and his potential of being president. Many are openly rebelling.

Not that what one blogger thinks matters that much, but if
Huckabee gets the nomination, I'm voting Democratic. It's not just an idle
threat; I just won't vote for him and in fact won't even vote third party or
stay home. I'll vote for the Democratic candidate, even Hillary. I won't be a
party to selling out everything the party is supposed to stand for to a liberal
ideology. If we're going to have eight years of liberal rule, I'd rather the

And, quite frankly, Hillary is to the right of Huckabee on most issues,
if only because she's politically afraid to do the kind of crap Huckabee does
and dream of doing at night. She couldn't afford to be as soft as Iran as
Huckabee would.

And I don't think I'm alone on this.

And... I do not want Huckabee setting the agenda for the GOP as de
facto head of the party. I'd rather there be a (different) liberal in the White
House, with the GOP Congress and Senate free to pursue genuine conservative
policies, rather than having to support Huckabee's liberal
impulses.

I'm surprised to see Ace say he'd vote for Hillary before
Huckabee. The fact is, I have been thinking about this for days and reached the
very same conclusion last night. And, yes, I mean it, too. In fact, if, given
his record and how he is now obviously pandering to evangelicals and who knows
what he promised Gilchrist to get his endorsement, if he buys the Republican nod
with a smile, a prayer and empty promises, I'm done.
That Presidential "R"
in 2008 will stand for nothing I believe in. The guy is slick but doesn't even
look competent. And if Republican primary voters are that stupid, they deserve
to lose next Fall. To pass over McCain, Thompson, Romney and Giuliani ONLY
because someone's slick and a Jesus Freak, which makes him your average
televangelist - forget it.

I will hold my nose and either vote for the Democrat because I prefer
to know what I'm getting, even if I'm getting screwed, or a Third Party
conservative if one comes up. I am done voting for Republicans who don't
represent what I believe in, low taxes and small government. Frankly, I think
Huckabee just might be worse than Hillary on that score and if we have a
Republican President advocating the above and the foreign policy stuff Ace lays
out below - I will not enable it.

At least I never threatened to vote for the dem nominee.

ADDENDUM: I have heard that a lot of Huckabee's support is coming from Fred Thompson which rings true. This really ticks me off at Thompson and whoever is running his campaign. I have defended him as 'crazy like a fox' and 'slow like a hare', but whoever is running his campaign..... Well, let's just say it could be run better.

Pelosi: Republicans `like' Iraq War

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi lashed out at Republicans on Thursday, saying they want the Iraq war to drag on and are ignoring the public's priorities.

NPR Helps Leaks Become Talk Of The Nation

I was listening to "Talk of the Nation" with host Neil Conan and author of "The Terrorist Watch" by Ronald Kessler as I drove today. Overall I thought that Neil let too much balance into the program actually agreeing (kinda) that waterboarding may have stopped terror attacks.

Neil was quick to point out that waterboarding is torture and spoke of it as if it was on the same level as Islamofascist torture used against our troops. Kessler pointed out that waterboarding was used in the training of SEALS and such and that Islamofascists used methods such as beheading which is arguably worse than waterboarding. Neil sounded unconvinced that America had not set a new standard for barbarism.

This is all as should be when listening to NPR. Whatever the subject, Neil and NPR utilize the same script to address it. At the Second Coming Neil and friends will ask why Americans should be allowed in Heaven because our beastly behavior and who exactly okayed it and when.

What caught my attention was that Kessler spoke of leaks by the press, one could visualize Neil getting his panties in a twist and his lips in a sneer as he straightened Mr. Kessler out with, "We just report them."

As my chuckles grew to laughter and tears formed in the corner of my eyes, sobering thoughts crossed my mind. Neil actually believes that. Neil doesn't get it. Neil read the memo. Neil just lied through his teeth and didn't lose a sneer.

People in the press such as Neil have been so in bed with government leakers for so long their marriage is common-law. As such, lying becomes common-place.

Getting to be president is tough work, as it should be. I have always felt sorry for those that actually believed that the 'right' message would win the day. As candidates, these people are too damned naive to be president. As supporters or staff, people such as this haven't a clue.

Should the 'truth' always win elections? You bet. Should people die in accidents? No. Should whiners be in politics? Absolutely not, but it's a free country.

You win by the belief in your heart, the sweat of your brow, the ache in your back and the strain of your brain.

Give me an opponent who believes in easy and I'll show you the person I am going to trounce. God willing and us still organizing up till just before the polls close of course.

We’ve all been there. Hopping around the inter tubers looking for information and images only to find it is still a 1950’s version of getting in the car and traveling to a facility and asking the gatekeeper if it might be possible to see said information. Those might have been really cool field trips for 4-H or Jews for Jesus members doing “research”, such as little Roy who really just wanted to see photographs of the 1952 Milk Jugs Queen or Fetter Levi, who after attending his yahrzeit, was hoping to see more “biblical” images of the Virgin Mary. The gate keeper decided what you could or could not access, especially when the research included National Geographic magazine issues dealing with aboriginal people of the dark continents.

Libraries, government archives and universities, among so many institutions, refuse to change or just don’t get the internet. Actually, many times, I hear it is an economic decision, but it appears that in the long list of financial priorities, including documenting the sexual rights of dwarves with the left handed pathological lift loss syndrome, the improving and extending the reach of their holdings and archives is near the bottom of their list of priorities. Constantly breaking new ground is the mantra of these institutions however worthless that ground is. Of course, the other end of this spectrum of never ending yesteryear are those institutions that believe people that need more than a written description are too stupid which is code for a) we are too cheap to spend or b) we’re broke or c) if it was was good enough for my parents and their parents then it is good enough for you.

Where are the pictures, drawings, blueprints and plans? If I want to see a catalogue of physical holdings I can always visit a library or a museum. If I could see the images I am searching for, then I would be more inclined to look further into that facility, visit it and support it. I’m not traveling 300 miles to view material based on a catalogue written in 1780 by someone who couldn’t understand why all those nice young men dressed in red had to go back to England.

Remind me again why we subdued Afghanistan and then handed it over to NATO so they could give huge chunks of the country back to the Taliban including the heart of the opium district? If Afghanistan has slipped your mind, remember that the sale of opium is financing the Taliban, they being the religious group that they aren’t.

U.S. to Hand Over Afghan Mission to NATO

The American mission to bring order to this unruly country is being
handed to a multinational force led by the NATO alliance, a move that will
subordinate U.S. troops under foreign command in a combat situation for the
first time since World War II.

NATO's ambitious mission could inject the flagging European-North
American alliance with a sense of purpose and also might take the heat off
Washington, seen in this region as too eager to fight Muslims. But there are
questions whether NATO will engage in the type of offensive operations the
U.S.-led coalition has.

"NATO needs to grab hold of this mission for NATO's sake," U.S. Central
Command chief Gen. John Abizaid said in a recent interview with The Associated
Press. Jumping outside European boundaries is "where the alliance needs to go to
stay relevant for the future."

In a little over a year NATO has been out maneuvered, outright lost, handed back or misplaced a lot of the country. Unfortunately, the Taliban, the court jesters of religion, warfare and culture, have been there to pick up the pieces.

Now, a multinational force, including American forces, are trying to take back a major city in the south of Afghanistan back under control. I agree with Gen. George Patton, I don’t like paying for real estate twice, which we have to do since we allowed our troops to be commanded by non-Americans without America’s best interest at heart.

In Afghanistan, a Do-Over Battle

The town, where some 2,000 Taliban fighters are believed to be holed up, was
surrounded on Friday by British and Afghan forces, in preparation for an
airborne assault by U.S. troops expected overnight in a drive to recapture the
town. Musa Qala was captured by the Taliban in February of this year, without a
shot being fired — they simply rolled into town and planted their flag after
British forces withdrew, having brokered an agreement with local tribal elders
to keep the peace. And the radical movement fighting to expel foreign forces
from Afghanistan and reimpose its harsh brand of Islamic rule has held the town
ever since.

The battle to own Musa Qala is expected to be intense, because of its value to both
sides. For the Taliban, there's major symbolic value in being able to hold a
town in a country ostensibly under the control of more than 40,000 NATO troops
and their Afghan allies. Musa Qala is also at the center of the opium industry
whose revenues fuel the Taliban insurgency, and its location near the mountains
north of Helmand make it a useful command center for an insurgent army. For all
the same reasons, it's important to NATO to dislodge the Taliban. That, and the
fact that it's a do-over, correcting what many officials see as a mistake by the
British forces that allowed the Taliban to take control in the first place.

The problem for NATO, however, is that Musa Qala may be a very
visible Taliban position, but it's only one of hundreds — by some estimates,
today, there is a permanent Taliban presence in more than half of Afghanistan,
and NATO — struggling to expand its troop strength from reluctant European
nations — is not well-placed to roll it back. The breadth of the territory
across which the Taliban now operates across southern Afghanistan all the way up
to the capital reflects the extent to which the uncommitted civilian population
is hedging its bets. With the harsh winter coming, Musa Qala may be one of the
last major engagements of the current fighting season. But next spring's
thaw is expected to bring the war in Afghanistan quickly back to the boil.

How many mulligans are we, the United States, going to give other countries that can’t quite decide if they want to win this war? Those mulligans are costing us our soldiers lives and respect from our enemy while enhancing our enemy’s standing in the court of public opinion including their standing amongst the losers barking and whining in the chambers of our Congress.

Like A Death In The Family

My father knew William F. Buckley, I did not. Both of them carefully observed the axiom that a youngster should be seen, not heard. Boy, did I disappoint both of them. My father never disappointed me. I am sad in a way one might be when a family member embarrasses those never expecting such an occurrence because William F. Buckley, who through patience taught us as if we were kin, has disappointed us.

I understand first hand the pain of suffering from your own decisions as well as the pain of losing one you love. To use that pain and the underlying circumstances for political or cultural gain (or to make yourself feel better) is stupid and illogical. It may be effective and emotionally powerful to rebut with a, "Yeah, well my (insert relative, the closer the better) died from (insert cause, especially good if it is a cause de jour)", but it makes for bad law, bad ethics and bad logic. Rue your behavior, but don't blame that which you abused. It's called free-will.

Stick me in a confessional and ask the question: Sir, if you had the authority, would you forbid smoking in America? You'd get a solemn and contrite, Yes. Solemn because I would be violating my secular commitment to the free marketplace. Contrite, because my relative indifference to tobacco poison for so many years puts me in something of the position of the Zyklon B defendants after World War II. These folk manufactured the special gas used in the death camps to genocidal ends. Jacob Sullum of Reason Magazine makes excellent points in his discussion of free markets, Bill Buckley and the changed reasoning that almost self-writes illogical statements that follow such an emotional change. I agree with Mr. Sullum, who worked for Bill Buckley, but for me it is as if a favorite uncle just passed away and we all miss his brilliance and wit.

Pelosi, Reid and other liberal, progressive and socialist members of Congress believe their stated goal of losing the War on Terror, Iraq and Afghanistan will give them cover for their long held hope of marginalizing and then destroying the military.

The members of Congress supporting Pelosi and Reid, such as Waxman, Sherrod Brown, Conyers, Kucinich, Schumer, Levin, Keith Ellison, Chaka Fattah, Barney Frank, Jesse Jackson Jr, Charlie Rangle, Pete Starkravingmad and Bernie the socialist Sanders, are a motley crew of anti-military activists.

Army Civilians Could Receive Furlough Notices by Christmas
Some members of Congress have responded by saying the Pentagon has funds to continue operations through March, but a Pentagon spokesman today said furlough notices for Army employees could start going out the middle of this month. The employees would not be furloughed until after Christmas, but some contracts require a 60-day notice if the furlough will be longer than 60 days, Defense Department spokesman Bryan Whitman told reporters
at the Pentagon. The department is using fiscal 2008 funds – not part of the supplemental funding needed – to keep operations going in the war on terror, he explained. “Anyone who thinks that this is not a serious situation is simply misinformed or is ignoring the facts. We have tried to be as matter of fact as we can on this, but the reality is that we are using our program budget for FY 08 … to fund our operations in Iraq and Afghanistan,” Whitman said. DoD is using
its readiness funding, or operations and maintenance accounts, which typically pay for training, supplies, and maintenance of weapons and equipment.

It seems Congress wants the military to budget like them which is a day late and a dollar short except Congress won't give the military the right to print money. So, the military has to borrow from next year's budget, in the middle of a war, to pay for this year's budget as punishment for doing their jobs so well.

Why aren't voters up in arms about this? Why isn't the media? Where are more blogs? What will it take for the nation to scream from the roof tops that members of Congress and our government are stabbing our soldiers in the back? Those that say Congress is using funding to get their point across won't admit that our troops are being used as pawns, pawns that get killed so that some in Congress can speak at a leftist rally or raise more campaign money from anti-military and anti-American groups such as:

Institute for Policy Studies, Moveon.org, National Priorities Project, Jobs with Justice Campaign, Peace Action, Americans for Democratic Action, Progressive Democrats of America, the NAACP, ACLU, Progressive Majority, League of United Latin American Citizens, Rainbow/Push Coalition, National Council of La Raza, Hip Hop Caucus, Human Rights Campaign, Association of Farmworker Opportunity Programs, National Hip Hop Political Convention, and the Democratic Socialists of America to name a few with Kos, Atrios, Firedoglake, Yglesias, Anybody's Huffington and other bloggers such as Mother Jones and Peace Blogs.

Fine group, eh? Represents America, huh? No, they don't. They represent a fringe of the Democratic Party which is shamelessly pandering to them. Some will say these people are just Americans offering another point of view of what America could become. That is partially right, because it would be an America but on lies, twisted logic, outdated and failed political theories and by stabbing the best of America in the back.

Unlike in the past, these people now hold positions of power in the House, the Senate, federal and state government bureaucracies, in education, unions and money groups within the political structure. This is not a conspiracy, it is a political campaign spread over decades of elections that has campaigned to remold America in their world view. It is a view few Americans would like because it is a campaign that starts with having America admitting that what we stand for is wrong. To finally be able to make "America's" admission of wrongdoing to the world their campaign to consolidate power must succeed.

As their movement grows in age it is ironic that these people and groups exude the same sense of entitlement they originally wanted to topple and was their stated purpose for starting their campaign. The protesters have become the money elite. The children who thought their parents politically and spiritually vacuous have now become their parents of another stripe, but the same none-the-less. They want to become what they detested the most, the moral majority.

That they are not the majority in America is of little concern to those who feel they have the right and the righteousness to make up the difference between their numbers and 50% plus one vote needed to tell America what is right.

They're wrong though and always have been, but who's going to convince them now they have their blood lust up with America's soul in their sights? Those that bill themselves as the most caring now will sacrifice whatever and whomever to attain their goals and they're starting with our military.

More importantly, who will stop them?

A self-serving agenda was set for the Republican presidential debates.

THE United States is at war in the Middle East and Central Asia, the
economy is writhing like a snake with a broken back, oil prices are relentlessly
climbing toward $100 a barrel and an increasing number of Americans just can't
afford to be sick with anything that won't be treated with aspirin and bed
rest.

So, when CNN brought the Republican presidential candidates together this
week for what is loosely termed a "debate," what did the country get but a
discussion of immigration, Biblical inerrancy and the propriety of flying the
Confederate flag?

In fact, this most recent debacle masquerading as a presidential debate
raises serious questions about whether CNN is ethically or professionally
suitable to play the political role the Democratic and Republican parties
recently have conceded it.

In any event, CNN has failed in its responsibilities to the political
process and it's time for the leaders of both the Republican and Democratic
parties to take the network out of our electoral affairs.

WOW, that takes some brass ones for the LA Times to actually attempt to stand on that rickety soap box.

How are we to know who to believe? We can't know, at least from what are considered traditional sources because they bend studies to their own means. Many are kind and say the different groups "interpret" data. I'm not kind. They lie about data.

How does the average citizen decide who or what effort they should believe in? Traditionally, people have trusted a source, like St. Lukes, and have answered their plea for funds. Some causes, such as children's cancer, elicit private financial support as well as demands for public funds. This is so because people want to trust and have learned to trust certain groups. Now, I think people are generally beginning to no longer believe, especially anything related to government sources and sources perceived to be aligned with the government.

To many people, CDC and NIH, as examples, are nothing more than extensions of rich special interest groups and taxpayer paid bureaucrats that have agendas they want to foist on American society. That they are using our taxes to try to socially engineer us into their vision of what society should be. It is also fabulous job security, saving us from ourselves using our money to pay for their jobs.

Personally, I think AIDS has become a cash cow, much like race and poverty, for special interests and most governmental departments and agencies. To them, conquering AIDS, racism and poverty may be laudable goals, but a lot of money can be made while those goals are sought. More profitable though, would be if they're not conquered, but just contained to certain levels that constantly give a smaller profit, but over a longer term. Including advertising revenue.

Anymore, I wouldn't believe The Washington Post if they wrote that night is dark and day is light. I'd believe in a heartbeat that they had spiked or hyped a story in hopes of profit. And I'd laugh at their denial.

At some point, people may ask, where is the press? The press will point to many stories about these elections, but their stories do not tell all the facts. The Irrelevance of Military Victory

A military victory in Iraq is unattainable, just as it was in the Vietnam
War.

Losers love this analogy except when you bring up that Congress (Democrats) caused millions to be murdered when they cut funding to the free government of South Vietnam that we had left unprotected.

At the close of the Vietnam War in 1975, a telling conversation took place
between an NVA colonel named Tu and an American colonel named Harry Summers. Col. Summers reportedly said, "You never beat us on the battlefield." Tu
replied, "That may be so, but it is also irrelevant." It is likewise irrelevant
to seek military victory in Iraq.

Irrelevant? Yes, it was. Colonel Tu knew our government and Congress better than we did because he studied us. If we follow your advice, now we can have millions more murdered in the middle east and Iraq, just like your kind accomplished with the aid of Colonel Tu and his compatriots.

As conditions deteriorate in Iraq, the American people are told more blood must
be spilled to achieve just such a military victory. Twenty thousand additional
troops and another $100 billion are needed for a "surge." Yet the people remain
rightfully skeptical.

Yep, conditions have deteriorated. No improvement any where. Just ask Pelosi and Reid.

Though we've been in Iraq nearly four years, the meager goal today simply is to
secure Baghdad. This hardly shows that the mission is even partly
accomplished.

Forget Anbar. Karbala. Diyala. Forget the rest of the country. Only think about Baghdad and what the mainstream press feeds you.

Astonishingly, American taxpayers now will be forced to finance a
multi-billion-dollar jobs program in Iraq. Suddenly the war is about jobs! We
export our manufacturing jobs to Asia, and now we plan to export our welfare
jobs to Iraq – all at the expense of the poor and middle class here at home.

Huh? Ron, don’t cut and paste between speech templates in the future. You only confuse yourself.

Plans are being made to become more ruthless in achieving stability
in Iraq. It appears Moqtada al-Sadr will be on the receiving end of our military
efforts, despite his overwhelming support among large segments of the Iraqi
people.

Yep, good call. Pacification, negotiation and encouragement is just plain ruthless.

It's interesting to note that one excuse given for our failure is leveled at the
Iraqis themselves. They have not done enough, we're told, and are difficult to
train.

Yet no one complains that Mahdi or Kurdish militias or the Badr
Brigade (the real Iraq government, not our appointed government) are not
well-trained. Our problems obviously have nothing to do with training Iraqis to
fight, but instead with loyalties and motivations.

I’m confused here, what election did you see Mr. Paul? When was your election voting the Badr Brigade into power held? We must have missed it. BTW Ron. Do you want troops out of Iraq now leaving those who believed in us in the lurch or do you want better training for Iraqi forces. Make up your mind.

We claim to be spreading democracy in Iraq, but Sadr has far more democratic
support with the majority Shi'ites than our troops enjoy. The problem is not a
lack of democratic consensus; it is the antipathy toward our presence among most
Iraqis.

Antipathy? Not on the part of Iraqis, especially not among the 100,000s Iraqis returning to Iraq weekly. Sadr has far more democratic support? Again, which election do you speak of? Was it on a different channel or different plane?

In real estate, the three important considerations are location, location,
location In Iraq, the three conditions are occupation, occupation, occupation.
Nothing can improve in Iraq until we understand that our occupation is the
primary source of the chaos and killing. We are a foreign occupying force,
strongly resented by the majority of Iraq's citizens.

Thanks for the real estate lesson, but is occupation (you know just like a hostile force does) the same of assistance and encouragement for a people to become free and live in a democracy while working with them to expel those murdering and maiming in the name of religion? Will this increase the value of property?

Our inability to adapt to the tactics of 4th generation warfare compounds our
military failure. Unless we understand this, even doubling our troop strength
will not solve the problems created by our occupation.

The talk of a troop surge and jobs program in Iraq only distracts Americans from
the very real possibility of an attack on Iran. Our growing naval presence in
the region and our harsh rhetoric toward Iran are unsettling. Securing the Horn
of Africa and sending Ethiopian troops into Somalia do not bode well for world
peace. Yet these developments are almost totally ignored by Congress.

Congress doesn’t need Bush conquering the whole world single-handed to confuse and distract you guys. Congress couldn’t find its own butt with both hands and directions.

Rumors are flying about when, not if, Iran will be bombed by either Israel or
the U.S. – possibly with nuclear weapons. Our CIA says Iran is 10 years away
from producing a nuclear bomb and has no delivery system, but this does not
impede our plans to keep "everything on the table" when dealing with Iran.

Don’t you just wish those damned Jews would quit running our military-industrial strength government? It’s our country you Jews. Shoo. Go away.

We should remember that Iran, like Iraq, is a third-world nation without a
significant military. Nothing in history hints that she is likely to invade a
neighboring country, let alone do anything to America or Israel. I am concerned,
however, that a contrived Gulf of Tonkin-type incident may occur to gain popular
support for an attack on Iran.

You’re right Ron. Iran never mentioned wiping Israel off the map and killing all the Jews and other infidels while in the Gulf of Tonkin. You got us there. Iran is just a puppy dog waiting to be given a loving pet.

Even if such an attack is carried out by Israel over U.S. objections, we will be
politically and morally culpable since we provided the weapons and dollars to
make it possible.

I never thought of this! It’s just like I used to tell my kids, “You’re just as much to blame. You encouraged your sister. Go sit in the corner.” Question, if Israel is running our country how is our country going to order Israel not to do this, but do that? Oh, those crafty neocons.

Let's hope I'm wrong about this one.

First, this is about the innocent naming of a teddy bear. The British teacher appears to have knowledge of Islam, but felt there was no problem. This means a non-Muslim or infidel, which is the word that gets Islamofascists all excited in wrong ways, could be beaten or murdered for a mistake. That's not a religion, it's a recipe for a sadomasochistic abattoir of lust violence marketed as religion.

Second, this is about a government manipulating a population of citizens into prostituting their religion to make a political statement.

Teacher Hidden As Sudan Mob Urges Death
Chants of "Kill her!" and "No tolerance: Execution!" rang out as hundreds of police in riot gear stood by, keeping the crowd contained but not moving against the rally.

Protesters dismissed Gibbons' claims that she didn't mean to insult the prophet.

"It is a premeditated action, and this unbeliever thinks that she can fool us?" said Yassin
Mubarak, a young dreadlocked man swathed in green and carrying a sword. "What she did requires her life to be taken."

Several hundred protesters marched to Unity High School, where Gibbons worked, and
chanted outside briefly before heading toward the nearby British Embassy. They were stopped by security forces two blocks from the embassy. The protest dispersed after an hour.

"I would like to tell the whole world that what happened here from this English teacher is not acceptable to us," said a protester, Sheikh Nasser Abu Shamah.

There was no overt sign that the government organized the protest, but such a public rally could not have taken place without at least official assent.

Gibbons was sentenced Thursday to 15 days in jail and deportation for insulting Islam with the naming of the teddy bear, which was part of a class project for her 7-year-old students at the private school.

There are those that believe she should be murdered, those that chant murder just because and then there is a government that manipulates them all. Really, again, how sad is that?

So you would think such a job would require a science background or years of covering environmental news? Not exactly.

While seeking out the dark heart of the contrived tepid weather core settling o'er the globe, Dan could lower the brim on his fedora, flip up the collar of his London Fog and tighten the knot of his coat belt. He'd be stealthier than a wealthy wife being where she ain't supposed to be. He'd be on this story like stink on a hound dog baying in the rain. He'd dig deeper than a well digger dyin' of thirst. He'd,...well you get the idea.

Fits Danno to a tee. Come on, give him one more last chance.

Race, gender come to forefront of presidential race

The dozen or so Spelman College women had come together in a basement classroom, after hours, to hash over a choice unimaginable just a few generations back.

Fliers posted across campus summed up the thrust of their conversation: "Should you vote for Barack Obama because of your race, or should you vote for Hillary Clinton because you are a woman?" . . .

Desiree Pedescleaux, associate professor of political science at Spelman, said the majority of black women in Atlanta will vote for Obama because of their strong identification with race.

She says some black women may support Clinton because of deep admiration or because they view her as the Democratic candidate most likely to succeed. But on an emotional level, Pedescleaux argues, race will trump gender.

"When an African-American woman walks into a room, what do most people see first?" she asked. "They see race. They see her as black before she is a woman."

In a magnificent show of "screw you" to Martin Luther King who said:

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."

How many decades and assassinations, of hope and death, just got shot down the crapper? How many whites in general and how many white males specifically now get a "get out of jail" card and the right to say, "I told you the whole equality this was full of crap. It nothing more and always was nothing more than a free pass and for what, cause your skin or your skirt? Bull".

Looking at that front page, reading what they said and feeling the effects of "equality" in our society, I feel sick. Now, think how those that truly fought, not pontificated, but fought for equality, must feel.

You best believe you should be relieved that Ol' Nat Turner ain't here abouts.
