New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer has started a major political fight over
immigration by ordering state officials to issue driver's licenses to illegal
aliens, prompting at least one county legislature to defy the executive order
and pushing toward a showdown in court.

The embattled governor's order has drawn some acerbic commentary,
including a cartoon showing Osama bin Laden as a New York City taxi driver.
After spending months trying to deflect charges that he used state police to
target the Republican leader of the state Senate, Mr. Spitzer appears eager for
a fight over this contentious issue.

"The rabid right that wants to pile on and use this to demagogue
the issue will not carry the day in New York state," he said recently. "Those
who view this as a political issue once again are taking the state in the wrong
direction."

Fresh from his criminal activity as bully-in-chief, Eliot Spitzer has ripped a page from the Pelosi/Reid book of lowlife politics by blatantly lying and ignoring reality, the voter's wishes and the law to deflect criticism from his troubled administration by giving illegal aliens the right to drive in New York. It seems that Democrats/liberals nationwide are using the Pelosi/Reid model of totally ignoring reality and creating an alter-world of their own where they can practice a brand of politics that has no connection to the truth anywhere except in the MSM's world of e=mc tripled. Given time Spitzer may yet figure out how to share credit for raising $4.2 million for the Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation with Hysterical Harry.

I can't wait to drive on the Bell Parkway between two jihadists fighting over a little boy and a piñata bandit late for taco hour at the local welfare office.

But, at least the illegals won't be breaking the law when they drive to the polls to vote for Eliot. That's a plus. Right?

was pro-war. When the issue came to the attention of the regional postal center,
they asked that Paso Robles postmaster Mike Milby and his staff take them down

material at any U.S. post office.

Bill has his secret foundation and library which is receiving huge chunks of money from anonymous people and sources from around the globe in such sums as to question just how many books and trinkets his library can hold.. Hillary has busboys and junked up CEOs of hollow companies pumping 1000s of thousands of dollars, beyond the means of the donors, into the Clinton presidential campaign through the magic of double-blind bundling techniques that cannot be traced back to non-existent people without green cards nor jobs. Is America great or what?

What seems to be apparent is that now (and earlier over the years) a lot of the money is coming from the pacific rim, especially China. China, as in communist China. China, as in the China that wants to be the economic alpha dog of the world. For the moment we can put aside the insignificant fact that foreign governments and individuals aren't suppose to financially support and influence presidential candidates of the United States of America. That they are is obvious, but why?

What is communist China attempting to buy in a Clinton presidency? Are the Chinese the only ones attempting to buy in? Is Clinton the only candidate selling or are other candidates putting out offers as well? I smell a Putin in this pile of Hu Jintao .

As far as either Clinton is concerned, customers have established what they are, now they're just dickering over the price.

after more than a dozen lawmakers pulled their names from the measure and some Democrats asked her to drop it.

Overall the article totally misses the target. This bill was not brought up as it has been for years which was to show concern to the large Armenian population in California. This bill was brought up to embarrass President Bush, drive a wedge between the US and an important ally in the War on Terror and Iraq and the bill was brought up as another tawdry attempt to force American troops out of Iraq out by Pelosi and her allies by a back door bill because Congress and the American people do not agree with the cut-and-run crowd now in charge of the federal kindergarten.

David Crosby and Graham Nash were and are adequate song writers. Their early work respectively with the Byrds and the Hollies, in my opinion was their best work. Nash's "Our House" written for CSN&Y is still capable of simultaneously giving me a headache and nausea within the first three notes.

What a crock of horse crap. There is a difference this time though. People aren't buying their lies. In fact, this time around people are laughing at them when they utter this crap. Watching two old farts make fools of themselves is funny indeed. Their lies become parody and their feigned sincerity becomes comedy.

True to form for its current neuvo riche persona the National Cathedral, aka the Episcopal Cathedral Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, is lending its facilities for this round of lies which doesn't give the expected boost to make Crosby and Nash's message soar, but does aid in lessening and lowering the respect and the "religious" message of the Cathedral.

As violence falls in Iraq, cemetery workers feel the pinch

Even with less violence, many of those buried here are victims of the
war, and the tragedy of each loss offers a counterpoint to workers' worries

At the shrine, security guards stopped the procession to check the coffin for explosives before allowing the men to take it inside. Later, at the grave, the men cried and the three women fell to their knees shrieking and flinging fistfuls of sand into their hair, a gesture of extreme grief.

Yeah, well I'm sure McClatchy will report on the negative impact on the diarrhea doctors of Chitwan when the epidemic wanes. Terrible thing when death and disease doesn't support one's lifestyle. Or circulation goals.

Dear President Knapp,

Seven students at your institution falsely attributed the “Hate Muslims? So Do We!!” fliers to The George Washington University chapter of Young America’s Foundation. When the fliers initially surfaced you said, “There is no place for expressions of hatred on our campus. We do not condone, and we will not tolerate the dissemination of fliers or other documents that vilify any religious, ethnic or racial group.”

We agree. Vicious personal attacks levied on students are intolerable, and should not go unpunished. The question remains: what will you do about such blatant character assassination now that the truth is out? How will you demonstrate that you don’t “condone” or “tolerate” the dissemination of hate?

To be clear, liberal radicals on your campus accused conservative students of engaging in racist activities, and to buttress those baseless claims, these same radicals manufactured actual racist activities to pin on the young conservatives.

Student Association Executive Vice President Brand Kroeger told the GW Hatchet that he “would support expulsion. These acts are completely heinous.” Again, we agree with this statement if Kroeger believes it is the job of The George Washington University to protect the reputation of students who are wrongfully maligned. In an open letter to you, the culprits admit to distorting the views of the conservatives on campus. They wrote, “We want to reach out to our Muslim brothers and sisters in the Holy Month of Ramadan in hopes that they will embrace our misrepresented, but honorable stand against racism” (emphasis added).

There is, of course, a clear difference between ordinary Muslims who positively contribute to society and radical Jihadists who boast about murdering people indiscriminately. It’s a typical left-wing tactic, however, to just call names, such as “racist,” rather than engage in a serious debate, in this case, over radical Islam. Only the intellectually deficient revert to such slanderous attacks.

The seven who put up the phony fliers are frauds.

You should issue an apology to the conservatives unfairly targeted. It was obvious that the fliers were spreading lies, but your administration, led by Bridgette Behling—the assistant director of the Student Activities Center—sent emails to the young conservatives pressuring them to sign statements disavowing any hate speech that may originate at any future Young America’s Foundation event.

That’s astonishing. Maybe she forgot that the presumption of innocence is an American hallmark? Or maybe your administration should pressure leftist groups to sign statements disavowing any future dirty tricks on conservatives?

The political profiling of conservatives MUST stop. You need to organize a forum immediately that embraces intellectual diversity and denounces the Left’s attempts to create hostile learning environments for conservatives. The campus leftists wrote that Young America’s Foundation “should not [be] allow[ed]” to host conservative speakers. These seven students are trying to squelch robust dialogue and free speech. We believe this to be the goal of their scheme. As president of The George Washington University, we hope that you will create an atmosphere where all students, including conservatives, feel welcomed.

Don’t waste the opportunity.

I am so glad that my two are out of college. At the moment I am listening to a pompous ass, Tanya Acker, from LA pontificate about racism, the law and education on Fox News. Ms. Acker, after interrupting others constantly actually ordered them with a "Do NOT interrupt me again" statement. What a putzette.

Ms. Acker is symptomatic of educators in general and Mr. Knapp specifically in that they are arrogant hypocrites who should under no circumstances be allowed near children and young adults.
