NYT Has Finally Jumped The Shark

and not a minute too soon.

NYT MONDAY: Jon Stewart 'modern-day equivalent of Edward R. Murrow'... Developing...

I started to find the NYT and those that needed to hang on its daily word a tad foolish years ago. Actually it was more than years ago. It was back when the earth was still cooling.

NYT Once Again Is There Only To Serve And Protect

The New York Times is laughable in a world where the sound of laughter only makes the Times dig deeper into its well of smug indifference to reality.

A Note to Readers: The Decision to Publish Diplomatic Documents

For The Times to ignore this material would be to deny its own readers the careful reporting and thoughtful analysis they expect when this kind of information becomes public.

As usual, once the NYT thinks they have reached the bottom they call for diagrams from within their pool of diggers as to dig deeper.

The "deny its own readers the careful reporting and thoughtful analysis they expect" line is delicious, but de rigueur in a world of self delusion.

Rich Care For Petraeus Moist With Crocodile Tears

Oh, weep for the brave warrior as Frank Rich weeps. Must we allow our brave warriors fall on the sword of neo con stupidity? If only we had the stamina to wake each morning and look hard into the mirror and see ourselves as Rich can only see himself.

How Fox Betrayed Petraeus

It’s poignant, really. Even as America’s most venerable soldier returned from the front to valiantly assume the role of Willy Loman, the product he was selling was being discredited and discontinued by his own self-proclaimed allies at home.

Poignant? Ah, exactly the word I'd expect Frank to use to describe any situation of a soldier. Really, I expect that type of sensitivity from Frank. Frank is so sensitive he must, late on dark nights, quote to himself, "I realized what a ridiculous lie my whole life has been" and wonder if his brother was right at last.

The Jews Are Home Helen

I wondered when someone would point this out.

Genetic testing raises an age-old question — are the Jews a people, or a religion?
