Personally, Obama is for gay marriage. Of course at one time he was for only civil unions. But sometimes he isn't for it. In 1996 he was going to fight for gay marriage.
Actually, his answer at any given time was/is based on fundraising and electability. Nothing has changed except his stance.
Now as his re-election looms he is straddling the issue once again.
What is most interesting is that he also considers gay marriage a states' rights issue. Yesterday a fetus became an unborn baby for White House visits, today Obama is a states' rights supporter and tomorrow?
