Why Not Ohio: My $1.2 Billion Walk

Our bike trail is extremely busy with approx 15 riders a day and possibly 30-50 riders on weekends that can whisk their way to nowhere past beautiful statues made especially for the path. I think that's worth a couple hundred million.

Obama administration spends $1.2 billion on cycling and walking initiatives

In March, Mr Obama's transportation secretary, Ray LaHood, announced a policy "sea change" that gives biking and walking projects the same importance as automobiles in transportation planning and the selection of projects for federal money.

Maybe we could start farming some wind and have geothermal drinking fountains right next to this transportation project so we can get even more money. What if we add cute puppies. And kittens!
