Vasto, Abruzzo, Italy

My wife's family fished the sea since before the Turks sacked the village burning the old church in 1477. Thus, the new church was built, they think, in 1478.

Pictured is a fishing stand, as an example, used for centuries by the people on the Adriatic.
Upon visiting with my wife and father-in-law, they were both recognized immediately and we could want for nothing for our entire visit.
