Watching the debate and it came to me.
Pat Paulsen never really died. He just raised his voice, did a comb over reverse and renamed himself Ron Paul.
UPDATE: Both have first names with 3 letters. Then there is Paul which is just a shorter Paulsen...........
Coincidence? I think not!
Case closed. Ron Paul is Pat Paulsen without the wit or the wisdom.
