The Ohio Christian Alliance is holding its third in a series of candidate forums at Genoa Baptist Church, 7562 Lewis Center Road, Westerville, Ohio 43082, on Sunday evening, November 5th at 6 p.m. Candidates for Governor, U.S. Senate, 12 and 18th Congressional Districts, as well as other statewide offices will be invited to participate. · Democrats take the House
· Democrats fail to take the Senate, but make gains. Casey wins Pennsylvania, Brown wins Ohio, Whitehouse wins Rhode Island. I am going to go out on a limb and say Tester wins Montana. To take the Senate, the Dems would need two of Virginia, Tennessee, and Missouri. Ford looks in trouble in TN; McCaskill and Webb have a fighting chance. But I just don't see both winning.
· Lieberman takes Connecticut and caucuses as a Democrat, nominally, remaining a general sanctimonious pain in the ass for the next six years.
· Menendez hangs on in New Jersey, and Cardin beats Steele in Maryland.
· Rendell stays on in PA; Strickland beats that piece of shit Ken Blackwell in Ohio.
· Zack Space squeaks by Joy Padgett in Ohio-18.

Would leaving Iraq be a disservice to our combat soldiers who have fought there?

People can disagree with tactical

decisions that have been made,

ACORN: Ohio and the 18th on the 7th

ACORN, Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, is up to its normal.

What do dead people, cartoon figures, the elderly, celebrities, the mentally ill and illegal aliens have in common? Well, they’re all registered voters for liberals.

House Democrats pushed through a bill (not yet considered by the Senate) to have your tax dollars fund ACORN. Pretty neat, eh? Yeah, the Democrats scream corruption to the Plain Dealer, the Dispatch and every local paper that will listen and while the reporters and editors are burning blue with indignation, they never notice that the democrats have legalized corruption to benefit themselves. Eh, neat pretty?

Acorn and its affiliates have pulled some real stunts in recent years. In
Ohio in 2004, a worker for one affiliate was given crack cocaine in exchange for
fraudulent registrations that included underage voters, dead voters and pillars
of the community named Mary Poppins, Dick Tracy and Jive Turkey. During a
Congressional hearing in Ohio in the aftermath of the 2004 election, officials
from several counties in the state explained Acorn's practice of dumping
thousands of registration forms in their lap on the submission deadline, even
though the forms had been collected months earlier.

"You have to wonder what's the point of that, if not to overwhelm the
system and get phony registrations on the voter rolls," says Thor Hearne of the
American Center for Voting Rights, who also testified at the hearing. "These
were Democratic officials saying that they felt their election system in Ohio
was under assault by these kinds of efforts to game the system."
Given this
history, it's not surprising that Acorn is so hostile to voter identification
laws and other efforts to ensure fairness and accuracy at the polls. In Missouri
last month, the state Supreme Court held that a photo ID requirement to vote was
overly burdensome and a violation of the state constitution. Acorn was behind
the original suit challenging the statute, and it has brought similar challenges
in several other states, including Ohio.

In Ohio, over 344,000 reasons to check.

More signs of potentially large-scale voter registration fraud in Ohio from the Cleveland
Plain Dealer:
In all, the county elections board has received more than 344,000 registration forms this year - up from 103,000 four years ago - including duplicate cards and voters updating their addresses or other information.

Michael Vu, Cuyahoga County's election director, has encountered some problems with registrations. More than 3,700 forms had mailing addresses that could not be verified or simply don't exist, he said.

A smattering of those also included suspicious signatures written with the last
name first. Those will be turned over to the county prosecutor's office to be
investigated as a possible fraud, Vu said. Ohio, a key battleground state, is
rife with reports of potential voter fraud.

I am confident that Zack Space is not aware nor will he allow his candidacy to benefit from ACORN’s illegal activities. I mean, if he just is looking the other way, isn't that a violation of his already broken "ethics" pledge?

I have scoured the internet to find out Zack's positions. I have looked for quotes and statements from Zack, not the regurgitation of his print and electronic material, but meaty pontifications that define Zack as the pollster's dream candidate.

I personally believe that the UN's (purposeful) foot dragging allowed Russia, France and others to get the weapons out of Iraq pre-invasion to hide their complicity.

I live in Ney's district, and I regularly post in a local forum that gets quite political. Today, I've decided that, from here forward, every time I write Joy Padgett's
name, I'm calling her Joy "Fat Pig Who Feeds At Abramoff's Trough" Padgett. It
should go over well with the folks who post there. Besides, she IS a fat pig.

either. I've known quite a few REpublicans in my time and it seems
as though they never take responsibility for their kids, or marriages, etc. Look
at all those on the right who talk about morals but clearly have none of their
own - Bush got women abortions, drank, did drugs, deserted the military, etc.;
Gingrich divorced his ill wife when she needed him most, and so on. Personally,
the R's I know are mostly friends of my mom (who is a Dem). But both of them
have kids who are hopeless and the women "don't know what they can do." Well,
try not supporting them for one thing. I mean, one woman has a daughter who went
to college (mom paid), then went into the military and then got married and had
a kid so left the military. Then she left the kid with mom while she moved and
went into another kind of business. Then she went back to school (mom paid
again) and then quit and is now going to truck driving school because she thinks
it might be "fun." If mom didn't keep enabling her daughter the woman might
actually have to work for a living. This woman is in her 50's by the way (mom is
in her 70's).

Granville is a transplanted New England college town - got its name from the first settlers from Granville, CT. Denison University is there - attracts mostly East coasters and it leans a little toward a party school, but has a solid academic
reputation.
The non-college Granvillians (or villains) are staunchly Republican, and the county (Licking) is all Republican all the time, with many serious attacks against those who express any other opinion other than the party line - missing ballots, creating false charges, sending the shreiff's deputies o harass and threaten - one elderly couple was threatened at gunpoint by a deputy when they protested having their road frontage decimated by a township trustee taking reveng on them for complaining at township trustee meetings.
Padgett's county - Coshocton - is even more rural and filled with unemployed and underemployed locals, who still continue to vote Republican - because of that strawman patriotism and pulpit garbage that's spewed.
The local churches are all evangelical, uneducated, fundamental extremist in their
positions.
Laura was probably viewed as a goddess to that crowd, and I'm sure she scored big money.

economy, so I support the goals of No
Child Left Behind. Many children in the
United States are seemingly unable to
improve their test scores on state, national,
and international exams. I do believe
that No Child Left Behind needs more
flexibility so that decisions can be made
in the best interest of each individual child.
Although federal funding for elementary
and secondary schools has increased 39%
since 2001, the federal government must
be cautious not to issue "unfunded mandates"
to states and local school districts.
