Obama Leaves Health Workers Unprotected

Make excuses to save a murderer, but leave people out to dry because they refuse to take part in what they believe unethical. Black is white and up is down.

Health Workers' 'Conscience' Rule Set to Be Voided
The Obama administration's move to rescind broad new job protections for health workers who refuse to provide care they find objectionable triggered an immediate political storm yesterday, underscoring the difficulties the president faces in his effort to find common ground on anything related to the explosive issue of abortion.

The administration's plans, revealed quietly with a terse posting on a federal Web site, unleashed a flood of heated reaction, with supporters praising the proposal as a crucial victory for women's health and reproductive rights, and opponents condemning it as a devastating setback for freedom of religion.

Personally I am stunned that it took the Washington Lost two paragraphs to get to the right to abort on demand. The conscience rule covers far more than the right to abort, but is is so predictable that it has become the central point by narcissistic.

America Hoodwinked

Just got back from getting lumber. While out I kept flipping through talk shows because everybody was yelling.

At the lumber store they had a local station on, but I was busy planning and didn't really listen until checkout. A contractor was talking to the owner about the difference in their presidential votes. As the owner started defending Obama I thought the place was going to come apart. Unmentionable words started flying, especially concerning the stimulus - nonstimulus- bill. Being a peacemaker, I just said, "How about those bailouts?" and remembered that I still needed to look at underlayments in the back.

Back in my car, I went through the dial to get a sampling of opinions. Everyone was still yelling, not just the host. I dialed in Newark, Columbus, Dayton, the Big Red in Cincy and Pittsburgh. They all had one thing in common. Every time anyone tried to defend the Obama, Pelosi and Reid people got angry. One guy in Pittsburgh tried to say that we should give Obama more time, but received a tongue lashing from another guy who just had to lay off 5 people because his customers are scared to death because of the anointed one's rhetoric and crap programs.

At home I mentioned this to my wife who pointed out rather sharply, "They allowed themselves to be hoodwinked. Their bad. Hopefully it won't kill our country."

Hoodwinked by a looking pretty fast talking rookie from corruption land. Yep, that about wraps it up.

Dear God, please help us.

Your Butt Is Killing Mother Earth

American taste for soft toilet roll 'worse than driving Hummers'

One square of sand paper will save us all.

I Love Keith Olbermann

He's the three stooges in one person. He is a walking poster child of polyester suits and hair. His glasses scream German techno-rock star, but with less talent.

He exaggerates. He pontificates with platitudes that only his guests can agree with. Of course, Olbermann is known to be rude, nasty, vindictive and threatening to those that disagree with him. Olbermann knows he is right because Olbermann doesn't believe anyone is smart enough to understand just how smart Olbermann is. That must be why he has been fired or bounced from every where.

Olbermann is a clown.

Instead of big floppy shoes and orange hair, Olbermann has super wide lapels, synthetic hair, and a face that is just shy of being a caricature. His smarmy, little researched and stupid comments that act as punctuation marks to a comedic career are brilliant.

No individual can be this simply stupid, thus he is funnin' us.

My favorite is that lately the ever inferiority complexed person known as Olbermann loves to make is that Limbaugh's rating are only up by 40% while Olbermann's is up by 62%. I guess adding millions of listeners as opposed to Olbermann's dozens of watchers is a point we should all go to sleep with.

Rachael, whatever her name is, that wipes up after Olbermann has signed off, is a breath of fresh air. She gives weight to a wispy wind that wafts through an empty room. Unfortunately, nobody listens. Except for me.

MSNBC is my comedy channel. I enjoy watching it. Olbermann is America's Benny Hill without the depth. Maybe a course or two at a local college might help his gravitas.

In the meantime, Keith, just be you. Your parody of yourself is wonderful.

Obama's CITI Bank Looking Bad & DOW Going Towards 6,000s

We have nothing to fear, but fear itself and Obama is supplying all the fear to us that he can muster. Either that or he's incapable of the job of being president which appears to be what is going on.

His actions so far are absolutely horrible.

CITI IN THE SEWER: SHARES DOWN 30%

And to make this horror even more comical, Rosie O'Donnel is on TV saying how grateful she is that Obama is President because he has brought hope and dignity back to the United States and that we are once again a new nation. She is an actress.

Meanwhile, the administration of "change" is saying that approximately 50,000 troops will stay in Iraq indefinitely. Good for them. The Iraqi stock market is soaring upwards.

Contrived Economic Crisis For Obama Election Victory?

By who is the resulting question to, "Follow the money."

via Bizzy Blog from Right Bias. Two necessary reads.

A Contrived Crisis? - You Decide
Through a series of supposedly random but arguably deliberate chain of events, America is poised to jettison 220 years of a free market system called capitalism, in favor of the tried and failed system of socialism. This writer, and others, are now starting to question how we reached this point.

Last summer, as McCain and Obama were in the midst of their campaigns to capture the presidency, a series of events dramatically changed the focus of the campaign from Iraq to the economy. From that point on, Obama took the lead and eventually won the presidency.

As then President Bush and his administration started sounding alarms in earnest about Freddie and Fannie the Democrats, especially Barney Franks, pooh-poohed him and liberals asked, with furrowed brows, why the President was a racist who didn't want poor people in homes.

I think the whole thing was manufactured and is now being manipulated to Obama andthe Democrat's advantage.

Class Warfare Or Socialism Comes To America

I loved it when 'Republicans' said they wished this new President well and they hoped he succeeded. Huh?

Then there were those who asked, "What real harm can he do? He'll have to govern from the center. Besides, next election we'll get real conservatives back in office." Looking pretty stupid now, eh?

Obama and his handlers in and out of Congress are using the time tried carrot and stick, aka class warfare, to put in place their agenda of creating a European socialist structure here in America. Soft socialism. Socialism that cares. Socialism that isn't ugly or mean. Socialism that treats all the people equally.

What a crock of crap we have wrought right here in the land of the free and the brave?

Just a few examples:

Mortgage interest deductions will be limited for those making $250K and over.

Medicine costs will rise dramatically for those over that magical number of $250K, lowered for those under the magic number.

Current tax cuts will expire.

Tax increases for working families. Especially on those evil cretins called employers.

Oh, just to prove that they have heart, cigarette taxes will rise yet again by 62 cents on every pack, but those poor people who smoke will be made smart enough to shun cigarettes in the future through medical education and increased monies to the schools to preach the preachiness that good government and good health go hand in hand.

Pelosi, Obama, Reid, Soros. In just a few months, if all goes as planned, their hope is that government will really be seen as the only entity that is big enough to handle our problems. The deficit will/has skyrocketed while countries such as Communist China and Russia, aka Mini USSR, will announce that the US is too much a risk to continue to support our debt, thus stop.

The government bureaucracy will continue to pump out fiction-as-fact to support the continued work of our savior in DC. The administration will continue to turn on its head the phrase, "in for a penny, in for a pound" by accentuating the hardship we all face and stupid platitudes like, "We must not replace our curtains when our foundation needs fixed."

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Obama is pledging budget cuts through waste, fraud and pay to the rich reductions. This warrior with his face into the wind and his eye of our safety and our future will sacrifice all to save us.

What a crock of crap.

This is simply a choreographed bureaucratic dance to consolidate power by welfaring over half of the voters who already do not pay taxes. Yes, over half the voters do not pay taxes. Now, those that work will subsidize those that do not, but now those non-tax payers have a partner in the federal and state governments and they will vote for Democrats. It really is a New Deal, again.

And it will be just as destructive to our core principles as the first New Deal because eventually those that are paying the taxes and the bills of our nation will arrive at that point where they say, "What the hell, I'll just get the freebies too."

Class warfare, liberal/socialist policies, same thing. Same result. Misery equally shared. Their vision of equality for all means quality for none.

Second Government Crisis Solved - In ONE Day!

The Federal City which resides in a federal district now has the vote.

DC Will Deliver Faithful Liberal Vote! (from the Keeler Report)
The DC Voting Bill did pass the Senate today with 62 votes. My vote count was just about right....except Utah's Robert Bennett switched to no and Alaska's Lisa Murkowski and Mississippi's Thad Cochran switched to yes. Why? I don't know. The yes folks also had George Voinovich on their side. That is very, very disappointing, Senator Voinovich.

They are knocking down one crisis after another of their own making. Good job on that whole hopey-changy thingy.

Government Crisis Solved!!

Nana Pelosi, always out to tell other people what they can and can't do, has solved our government crisis. No, not the government induced economic crisis currently being made worse by their Stimulus Plan. No, not the current crisis concerning our lack of resolve as madmen develop nuclear weapons in Asia and the Middle East. No, not the crisis of over regulation and taxation.

This one is really, really, really really, really important.

U.S. House of Representatives Passes Captive Primate Safety Act

Banks are relieved. Consumers are flocking back into the stores. Markets are trembling at the rapidity with which Pelosi, Obama, Reid have solved this national crisis. Last, but not least, Abedinejad and Korea's Mini Me are sighing themselves to sleep with relief because they finally see that the US finally has leaders who care.

As for Vitter helping Boxer push this waste of time in the Senate, I can only say, "Madam, I don't know."

Sprint & Customer Service, "Just Say No"

I have Sprint phone(s). In fact I have a number of them for my family and my extended family. Whenever I call Sprint with a problem or a change I am told, "no", we can't do that. Invariably I am informed that it is a "privacy issue" which is protecting me from myself.

Is Sprint a part of the Federal Government? They both want to protect me from myself and from unknown, but potentially dangerous situations that only they see.

Bureaucracy and lawyers. What an absolutely horrendous mix.

IRS Issues New Withholding Tables: $10 Extra Pay Per Week to Start April 1

This actually good. What's actually bad is that each taxpayer should sock it away so they can afford to pay the tens-of-thousands of dollars that each living person in America will have to pay for the Democrat's payola back to their supporters bill known as the Stimulus Plan.

Either that or they can buy 1/50th of a big screen TV. Too bad for the lady that believed Obama was going to pay her mortgage and put gas in her car. A tenner just isn't going to cover those things.

Abandoned Soviet Gulag

Abandoned Prison: Like concentration camps in Europe, the gulags are unique to Russian history. Abandoned gulag buildings are the physical evidence of mass imprisonment, forced labor and tacitly approved extermination. Roosevelt observed that capitalism is unequally divided riches while socialism is equally divided poverty. Gulag prison life meant an equal distribution of death among the rich and poor, old and young.

Feinstein & Democrats; 'We Don't Need No Stinkin Secrets'

On all fronts the new administration and its colleagues in the Congress continue their Keystone Cop routine of bungling things before they even get started.

Now, Diane Feinstein decides what foreign policy and national security info gets out to the world. I think she's still peeved that the Obama didn't garner her wisdom on cabinet picks.

Feinstein's Blurt Leads to U.S. Confirmation That It Uses Pakistani Air Base
The Senate intelligence committee chairwoman claims to have learned from open sources that the U.S. was operating unmanned drones on a Pakistani air base, something the U.S. had denied -- until her blooper.

Feinstein's spokesman suggested at the time that her comment was merely a reference to a March 2008 report in The Washington Post that discussed the use of Pakistani bases as part of the Predator campaign. The article did not attribute the information to U.S. officials.

The Predator campaign, considered the single greatest factor in degrading Al Qaeda's capabilities, is credited with the killing of eight members of the terrorist group's leadership since last summer.

The acknowledgement that the Pakistanis not only are turning a blind eye to U.S. operations in their territory, but also are lending a hand by supplying a staging area could create political problems for the fragile government of President Asif Ali Zardari. The U.S. was permitted to use Shamsi to launch attacks on Al Qaeda in Afghanistan shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks in the U.S.

Amb. Teresita Schaffer, director of the South Asia program at the Center for International Studies, said Feinstein's slip was definitely not intentional.

"Hell no," Schaffer told FOXNews.com. "I am quite sure that was not a subtle signal by the U.S. government. Senator Feinstein said what she said and I am quite confident the U.S. government did not want [it] to be acknowledged, both because of the usual concerns about operational security ... but secondly, and perhaps even more importantly, it's intensely politically embarrassing to the government of Pakistan."

Way to go Diane. Now, remind me, how did you get on the intelligence committee?

President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan thanks you with all his heart. He has to, since you can't wait to show that you know more than others, he may not have a head for long. You're a real benefit to our government and our security Diane and I personally want to thank you for belching secrets all over the place.

Racists & Cowards Always Charge Racism & Cowardice

In a month dedicated to being black, Eric Holder charged that we, as a nation, are cowards because we do not talk enough about our racial differences.

Holder: US is nation of cowards on racial matters
In a speech to Justice Department employees marking Black History Month, Holder said the workplace is largely integrated but Americans still self-segregate on the weekends and in their private lives.

"Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards," said Holder, nation's first black attorney general.

I grew tired of the talking years ago. First the talk was about how we are all the same and now the talk is about how we are all different. Of course all through this talkfest it has been about money and power.

Those doing the talking, actually self righteous lecturing, have made a lot of money and have gained a lot of power and those talking include both white and black as well as red, brown, yellow and every other group. Too much talk and not enough action.

When I was in high school I first heard the talk. I heard about integration. I heard about equal rights. A professor at the local private university held a public lecture pointing out the rotten soul of America because of racism. He didn't find it ironic as he described the separation of races in society, in education and work that the audience in the school chapel was a mixed race audience and that different races sat comfortably together because they worked together, went to school together and played sports and entertained together. That is because he felt he was talking the word to the heathen and it never occurred to him that the heathens ignored the talk and just walked the walk.

It was then that I realized that there are those that talk and then there are those who do.

Eric Holder has to keep yammering to keep the public's eye in another direction because if they looked directly at him and listened to what is really important, his actions, they'd know that Holder is a coward using racism to hide his past and to further his agenda.

As in all things American, the people do things in a far better fashion than the government. It is a far better world where people are people and an equal people. It is a far worse world in which revenge and racism has been codified and made the acceptable norm among those that feel the need to feed of the soul of our nation.

I wish they'd shut their damned mouth and leave all of us to live our lives together.

Swedish Banking First Step Of Nationalizing Into Socialism

And McCain and Graham Leading Republicans Who Agree With Obama

Bank nationalisation gains ground with Republicans
Long regarded in the US as a folly of Europeans, nationalisation is gaining rapid acceptance among Washington opinion-formers – and not just with Alan Greenspan, former Federal Reserve chairman. Perhaps stranger still, many of those talking about nationalising banks are Republicans.

Lindsey Graham, the Republican senator for South Carolina, says that many of his colleagues, including John McCain, the defeated presidential candidate, agree with his view that nationalisation of some banks should be “on the table”.
...
“You should not get caught up on a word [nationalisation],” he told the Financial Times in an interview. “I would argue that we cannot be ideologically a little bit pregnant. It doesn’t matter what you call it, but we can’t keep on funding these zombie banks [without gaining public control]. That’s what the Japanese did.”

You cannot be ideologically a little bit socialist either. A government that accepts a little socialism, as our government already has, is more willing to accept more and more, arguing that we've always returned to capitalism in the past.

At what point will Congress decide that there is no reason to return to capitalism and retreat from socialism? We may be at that point.

Publishing The Names Of MurderersTo Save Lives

Applaud the Commercial Appeal, time to open all gun records

Everybody wants to save lives. Hopefully we can agree on that.

To that end, if the left, supporters of government as our savior, thinks, nee, applauds, publishing the names, addresses, etc., of people who own guns because it may save just one life, why don't we publish, say every Sunday morning, the names of those that have taken part in abortions?

If it works for the gun, logically, it should work for the scalpel or the vacuum or whatever device or drug abortionists and their accomplices may use.

Muzzammil Hassan Or Why Muslims Have Problems Fitting In

Via James Edwards

In head-to-head battles in the Muslim community, it appears that women lose every time.

Some history on the couple:
Muzzammil Hassan came to America from Pakistan 25 years ago. He became a successful banker in Buffalo, New York, near the famed Niagara Falls.

While he and his wife were happy to be in the United States, they were upset by the negative perceptions of Muslims, and particularly how this perception might affect their children.
That is how they came up with the idea of Bridges TV. Mr. Hassan’s wife challenged him to start it.

“I had no background in television. I didn’t know anything about TV. Her comment was, ‘you have an M.B.A. (masters degree in business) why don’t you write a business plan?’”
And so he did. He quit his job at the bank and for the next two to three years worked almost non-stop in developing an English language television network that offers news and entertainment for Muslims.

Mr. Hassan hopes Bridges TV lives up to its name by uniting American Muslims and by helping non-Muslims overcome the negative images they may have of both Muslims and Islam.

Current news on the couple:
Prominent Orchard Park man charged with beheading his wife

To many of my friends and peers that are Muslim or have married Muslims it seems to be a belief by degrees by the believer in Islamic tenets. While some will shake their heads and say this is wrong, there are others who will publicly speak against the practice, but privately agree.

That is why Muslims have perception problems in America. It is too scary for many to believe what they will do and it is also to scary to believe them as a community. The alleged murderer is not a poor Muslim living in a dusty village far from here, but a successful businessman with a MBA and a host of people who thought he was offering peace and understanding. He did not murder in the heat of the moment, but sawed his wife's head off because she wanted a divorce.

The more that people hear about this culture the less they ask how do you understand it, because they more times than not now ask, why even try.

How Much Did Specter, Collins & Snowe Charge For Their Yes Votes?

As I wrote before, Specter, Snowe & Collins: Republican Repercussions, it is now apparent that the three Republicans who voted for the power grab by government, known as the Stimulus Plan, had a price for their vote. They were bought.

Renegade Republicans Push Stimulus Over The Finish Line
President Obama owes the passage of his stimulus bill to three senators from the losing side, reports CBS News correspondent Kimerly Dozier.

Renegade Republicans – senators Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania and Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins of Maine – tipped the balance toward Mr. Obama's plan in a late night Senate vote on Friday, forwarding the package to the president's desk by a 60-38 margin. "I really believe that what I decided to do was right," Collins said.

She and Snowe used the political weight of their swing votes to wield influence far greater than their state's 1.3 million residents, Dozier reports.

I know what people are called that sell themselves, but do Specter, Collins and Snowe? They should give Eliot Spitzer a call. I hear he pays better.

Of course, I'm sure there is a section buried in the Stimulus bill to nationalize brothels and unionize pimping that will mandate a set price, but the OSHA regulations will be the most interesting.

HURRY, FELLAS, LET'S VOTE, I AM OFF TO ROME!
Rep. John Culberson, TX claims the "stimulus" bill must be urgently voted on today -- because Speaker Nancy Pelosi is leaving at 6:00 PM for an 8 day trip to Europe!

Culberson made the charge on Houston's KSEV radio.

Pelosi is hoping to lead a delegation to Europe; there's a meeting with the Pope and an award from an Italian legislative group.

Calls to Pelosi's spokesman went unreturned.

In the rushing, Democrats have now broken their promise to have the public see the $790 billion bill for 48 hours before any vote.

Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) predicted that none of his Senate colleagues would 'have the chance' to read the entire final version of the 1,071-page bill before it comes up for a final vote.

This Fight Is Not Over
We still have two chances to win in the House or Senate!

Dear Taxpayer,

Will you join me in taking a stand in the first major policy battle of President Obama’s Administration?

Stop the Pelosi-Reid-Obama Trillion Dollar Spending Bill, Sign Our Online NO Stimulus Petition TODAY- Click Here

Yesterday in the U.S. Senate we suffered a difficult defeat as the $838 billion senate version of the Pelosi-Reid-Obama spending bill passed the senate with 61 votes. While yesterday’s vote is a disappointing setback, we cannot be discouraged. Much of this fight still lies ahead in the next few days.

Despite today’s passage in the Senate, this fight is far from over!

The bill will still have to go to conference to work out differences between the House and Senate versions, before coming back to both chambers for another vote. They will fight to add back as much pork as possible, including brand new pork not in either the House or Senate version.

You can fight back today by clicking here and joining the growing army of taxpayers saying NO by signing Americans for Prosperity’s petition to stop this disastrous trillion-dollar debt scheme.
We’ve got to keep raising awareness and increase the pressure against this spending and debt outrage. Thanks to the help of our signers forwarding this to their friends and family, calling talk radio, and promoting it on the internet, we’ve blown past 200,000 signed petitions!

Just what is wrong with this bill? …

Under the auspices of a “Comparative Effectiveness Review” the package
heavily funds the first steps towards the government-mandated rationing of
health care and tramples your right to medical privacy.

The so-called “Stimulus Package” is being sold to taxpayers as an
investment in useful infrastructure like roads and bridges. But the facts prove
otherwise. Only 3.6% of the scheme’s $838 billion price tag would actually go to
real, practical infrastructure projects–roads and bridges.

This trillion-dollar debt and spending scheme will provide little or no
stimulus, but will put each and every American household in at least $6,700 of
new debt, to be paid by our children and grandchildren.

It is critical that we send a loud and clear message to DC politicians that ordinary citizens simply cannot afford the crushing burden and devastating consequences of this initiative.

Please act now to make your voice heard — and encourage your friends and family to do the same — by signing AFP’s petition here.

Sincerely,
Tim Phillips
President, Americans for Prosperity

Democrats Don't Like The Constitution "Our people can virtually taste this vote"

States have constitutional rights to representation, districts and cities do not.

The District of Columbia is our federal city.

Senate Committee Passes Bill
A Senate committee easily passed a bill yesterday that would give the District its first full seat in the House of Representatives, sending it to the full chamber for a crucial vote expected in the next few weeks or months.
...

Two of the three Republicans present -- Susan Collins (Maine) and George V. Voinovich (Ohio) -- backed the bill.
...

McCain said that the bill violated the Constitution's provision that House representatives be chosen by "the people of the several states," since the District is not a state.

"I think it's unconstitutional," he said. He added, "If the District of Columbia deserves a member of the House of Representatives, they deserve two senators as well."

Many Republicans have been wary that the bill could lead to two D.C. seats in the Senate, which would probably give Democrats a significant boost. The question of constitutionality has elicited differing opinions from legal scholars. If the bill becomes law, it is expected to face an immediate legal challenge.

Supporters at the hearing argued that the bill would right a historical wrong.

Sen. Roland W. Burris (D-Ill.), who was recently appointed to fill President Barack Obama's Senate seat, said he became aware of the D.C. vote issue when he attended the Howard University School of Law in the early 1960s.

"It's about time we get some representation for the District of Columbia," he said.
...

Democrats hold a 58 to 41 advantage in the Senate. Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) said she believed the bill had the 60 Senate supporters necessary to overcome a filibuster.

"Our people can virtually taste this vote," she said.

The composition of the House of Representatives is described in Article I, Section 2 of the Constitution:

The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second
Year by the People of the several States, and the Electors in each State shall
have the Qualifications requisite for Electors of the most numerous Branch of
the State Legislature.

There are ways that the district could be represented in Congress. One such way is through a non-voting member which currently is Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton in the House.

Another, retrocession, ceding the District of Columbia back to Maryland, has been discussed, but Maryland wisely wants no part of that. The Virginia section of the District of Columbia was ceded back to Virginia in 1846 and that section known as Northern Virginia has skewed the wishes and the votes of Virginia, especially of late, much to the consternation of the rest of the state.

What is being tried now is having Congress just make the district a state. Proponents say that the district is not too small and that its population is actually bigger than Wyoming, but the citizens of Wyoming are not all employed or beholding to a monolithic employer such as the United States government and its ever growing bureaucracy of liberals. Conservatives also contend, and this is very important, if the power of Congress to "exercise exclusive legislation" over the District is used to supersede other sections of the Constitution, then the powers granted to the Congress could potentially be unlimited, but Barack Obama, a Senate co-sponsor of the "District of Columbia House Voting Rights Act of 2007" (H.R. 1433), said, during his presidential campaign, that he would sign such a bill if it was passed by the Congress while he was President.

The bottom line is that Obama and his liberal masters in Congress want to make the Democrat Party the permanent Party of the federal government. They will shred the Constitution, ignore history and bend or break laws with impunity to become that Party. Just look at the blatant power snatch using the Census and making it answerable to the White House.

As the always estimatible Eleanor Norton Holmes said, "Our people can virtually taste this vote."

Obama Unions Quid Pro Quo United Against Republicans

UPDATE: I wish I could post the response to AFSCME's attack ads put together by Rep. Cantor's staff, but it is too vulgar. Made to sound like a Jersey union goon, it is funny and makes fun of the self righteous attitude of the unions.

Via The Plum Line
Update: Brad Woodhouse, the head of Americans United for Change, which is also funding the initial ad hitting the GOP leadership, sends over a statement demanding that Cantor apologize.
"This is a childish and disgusting response to one of the most serious crises facing America in our lifetimes. This spoof of AFSCME has been floating around on YouTube for years — but its use in this context shows how completely and utterly out of touch with the current economic crisis and the lives of Americans Eric Cantor and the GOP leadership really is. Cantor should apologize."

Unfortunately Rep. Cantor has already apologized for the parody. Personally, I would start pumping them out, minus the vulgarities, as fast as I could. The unions, Democrats and all their internet thugs deserve all the ridicule hurled at them. That they act with such righteous indignation only makes this funnier.

Original:
Oh my. Unions spent millions to elect Obama to get in return support to buy Card Check legislation to enlarge unions and now that Obama is promising the unions millions back in repayment the unions can go after Republicans. That is what Obama and the unions colluded on from the beginning of his candidacy.

Obama allies attack GOP leadership
The labor-backed, pro-stimulus group Americans United for Change and the public workers' union AFSCME are going up with a national cable spot, also airing in Washington D.C., with the sharpest attack yet on Republican leaders in the House and Senate.
...
The radio spot targets Senators Voinovich of Ohio, Ensign of Nevada ,and Murkowski of Alaska and Reps. Shelley Moore Capito (WV). Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO), Jo Ann Emerson (MO), Jim Gerlach (PA), Charlie Dent (PA), Fred Upton (MI), Todd Platts (PA), Mike Castle (DE), Candice Miller (MI), Michael Turner (OH), Steve LaTourette (OH), Patrick Tiberi (OH), Eric Cantor (VA), Dave Reichert (WA), Bill Cassidy (LA), John Fleming (LA), Brett Guthrie KY), and Jim Cooper (TN).

Collusion between unions, special interest groups and the Democratic Party has never been more apparent and never more unAmerican.

Specter, Snowe & Collins: Republican Repercussions

Bipartisanship. A word that today means getting what one wants in the political arena. Once bipartisanship applied to the mechanism of politicians working together for the common good.

Partisanship. A word that has come to signify a Congress that does not work. Partisanship does mean believing in and acting on a set of beliefs. To vote against those beliefs is not bipartisanship, it is the modern politics of quid pro quo.

Since our Congress is populated by lawyers, instead of farmers, businessmen, cobblers, technicians or other people that produce something, I will use a lawyer's definition:

QUID PRO QUO - Lat. 'what for what' or 'something for something.' The concept of getting something of value in return for giving something of value. For a contract to be binding, it usually must involve the exchange of something of value.

The concept of compromise in the name of bipartisanship for the common good, i.e., something sometimes is better than nothing, is not the same as quid pro quo where something for something is the rule.

Like malice, proving quid pro quo vs bipartisanship, is hard to prove. Patterns often give a good indicator of intentions because of the piece that doesn't fit the pattern or because there is no odd piece, but a continuity of facts, actions or items.

Specter, Snowe and Collins surprisingly have no odd pieces, but a continuity. A continuity that does not in fact show that the Republican tent is so large as to render needless the Democrat Party. They do not believe in the basic planks, let alone in toto, of the Republican Party that hold the Party together as a political movement. Nor are they centrists, nor mavericks and as much as they want voters to believe they move to the beat of a different drummer, they do not.

They are liberals. Why not admit it. Why do they not admit it? Their votes on the stimulus package proves that they believe not in just the idea of government as savior, but that they will go against their entire party of peers, but also their Party. Specter, Snowe and Collins do not share in even the basic core beliefs of the Republican Party. They do believe in Obama, the Democrats and their shared vision of America. That vision is a European Socialist future for the Untied States of America and is in direct opposition to the principles on which this country was founded and formed.

What to do.

Matt of Weapons of Mass Discussion wrote an insightful piece that has stuck in my mind about party loyalty.

Is Loyalty Overrated?
This morning's Enquirer is carrying a story about the Speaker of the House in Tennessee being bounced to the curb after allying himself with Democrats in order to win his Speakership. The story goes on to impart the following:

State GOP Chairwoman Robin Smith brushed aside questions about losing control, saying the decision to oust Williams was driven by principles and rules.

"You can call it 49-49, Williams," said Smith, who acted after the party's top leaders last week approved a resolution to oust the speaker.

"The politically expedient thing to do would be to overlook whatever he's done," Smith said. "If we claim to stand for something, and we continue to look the other way when people behave in such a manner, it really negates all that we stand for."

Ah, a state party that stands for something. How unique.

On the future of our country and our bold experiment called Representative Democracy, maybe the Republicans of the U.S. Senate ought to measure the strength of their backbones and decide whether the rules of a convivial club of gentle men is the rule by which our Senators rule or if they believe our country is worth something more, such as a set of beliefs.

As the loyal opposition Republicans can do something they haven't done in quite some time. Show that they believe in something and will fight for those beliefs. If the Democrats want the stimulus plan, then let them have it and make it a point to voters that it is a Democrat plan. In short, stop the CYA movement in Congress and make legislation that we believe in, not legislation that is ill conceived and rushed as to impart an immediacy to avert a crisis. That immediacy is a tactical part of an Obama and Democrat victory with the stimulus package. That is the Democrat plan, not ours and we should make that plain to the American voter, because we are about to step off a precipice into a known failure form of government.

Give Specter, Snowe and Collins to the Democrats. They deserve them and we, as a party, should have the necessary pride and determination to defend not only our form of government, but our beliefs as well.

Specter, Snowe and Collins do not share our beliefs, but know that there are no real repercussions for their actions, votes and their lack of belief in Republicam ideals.

They and we would be better off without them as members of the Republican Party.

Gateway Pundit, as always, has much more!

Israel Tells Obama Where To Stuff Chatting With Terrorists

Livni may not be able to form gov't due to large right-wing bloc

That's what lobbing thousands of ever more powerful missiles has gotten the poor misunderstood Islamofascists.

'The Left was hit hard in this election'

Well, sending out your home movies of sawing people's heads off, bombing schools and of women being stoned may have had something to do with it as well.

Maybe Hamas needs a new PR firm. They already have the Democrats and the media in the bag for them.

Leahy's Dishonest Fishing Trip To End Run Executive Privilege

Of course this is from AP and they inadvertently put the lie to Leahy's words.

Sen. Leahy proposes truth panel on Bush era abuses
The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee is proposing a "truth commission" to investigate abuses of detainees, politically inspired moves at the Justice Department, and whole range of decisions made during the Bush administration.

Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., said the primary goal of the commission would be to learn the truth rather than prosecute former officials, but said the inquiry should reach far beyond misdeeds at the Justice Department under Bush to include matters of Iraq prewar intelligence and the Defense Department.

Leahy outlined his suggestion for a "truth and reconciliation" commission during a speech at Georgetown University Monday.

"I'm doing this not to humiliate people or punish people but to get the truth out," he said.

I think it would be a great idea if we, the people, had a "truth and reconciliation" commission to investigate Congress and its corruption, its lies, its collusion and its abuses. Maybe we could start with all the Democrats that voted for the Iraq War, listing WMDs as a main reason to go in, but now have ads up, have put in print and publicly say that even though they saw the same intelligence that Bush lied.

Then there are so many more issues like the abuse of appliances by members like Freezer Jefferson or the activities in love pads all over DC like the White House and anyplace Barney Frank has lived.

This is not to humiliate people or to punish them but to get the truth out. Of course some like to be punished and other aren't capable of being humiliated.

Obama & The Week Three Rookies Making The 'Crisis' Into A catastrophe

Feeling the need to prove government is the only answer to our problems, Obama and team went to the citizenry. Unfortunately, not knowing how government works, they forgot to tell the people who make the bloated, fat and ineffective government possible.

Stocks Tumble as Bailout Plan Is Unveiled
US stocks fell sharply Tuesday in a broad-based decline as the government announced details of its latest bailout plan.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down nearly 300 points after Treasury Secretary Tim Geither revealed details of the bank-bailout plan. Earlier, the blue-chip index was down less than 100 points.

Some market pros said the market selloff was simply a case of buy on the rumor, sell on the news.

Tony Crescenzi of Miller Tabak said Geithner spoke to the wrong street: Main Street instead of Wall Street.

"The problem is that Geithner needed to speak more to Wall Street, where the problems lie, rather than stay at a distance as he did, and leave Wall Street with too few details with no roadmap by how it might find its way out of current difficulties," Crescenzi wrote in a note to clients.

The "Financial Stability Plan," as it's now called, consists of four main components:
1) It will set up a public-private fund to mop up to $500 billion of spoiled bank assets.
2) It will set up a consumer-lending facility to support up to $1 trillion in new lending.
3) It will devote up to $50 billion to help stem home foreclosures.
4) It will provide new funding to banks after a "stress test" to determine if the bank is healthy.

Some market watchers remain skeptical over the benefits of the plan and legendary investor Jim Rogers told CNBC it could even make things worse. The bailout will plunge the US further into debt and it is designed by the same people who failed to forecast the crisis in the first place, Rogers said.

I think I will now use the Obama model and borrow tons of money to pay back money that I have already borrowed and to complete the financial fiasco, I will tick off my boss so that I will get fired. That just about sums up what the Rookies from ChiTown have accomplished so far.

Obama's Viagra Plan Slow To Raise Stimulus

But it puts a big glow in the unions sack full of coersion.

Specter, Collins & Snowe

I wonder just how much did their votes cost the Democrats and Obama?

Stimulus bill narrowly survives Senate test vote
An $838 billion economic stimulus bill backed by the White House survived a key test vote in the Senate on Monday despite strong Republican opposition, and Democratic leaders vowed to deliver legislation for President Barack Obama's signature within a few days.

The vote was 61-36, one more than the 60 needed to advance the measure toward Senate passage on Tuesday. That in turn, will set the stage for possibly contentious negotiations with the House on a final compromise on legislation the president says is desperately needed to tackle the worst economic crisis in more than a generation.

The Senate vote occurred as the Obama administration moved ahead on another key component of its economic recovery plan. Officials said Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner would outline rules on Tuesday for $350 billion in bailout funds designed to help the financial industry as well as homeowners facing foreclosure.

Monday's vote was close but scarcely in doubt once the White House and Democratic leaders agreed to trim about $100 billion on Friday.

As a result, Republican Sens. Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine and Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania broke ranks to cast their votes to advance the bill.

Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass., battling a brain tumor, made his first appearance in the Capitol since suffering a seizure on Inauguration Day, and he joined all other Democrats in support of the measure.

"There is no reason we can't do this by the end of the week," said Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada. He said he was prepared to hold the Senate in session into the Presidents Day weekend if necessary, and cautioned Republicans not to try and delay final progress.

He said passage would mark "the first step on the long road to recovery."

Moments before the vote, the Congressional Budget Office issued a new estimate that put the cost at $838 billion, an increase from the $827 billion figure from last week. Ironically, the agency said provisions in the bill intended to limit bonuses to executives at firms receiving federal bailout money would result in lower tax revenues for the government.

In this, the first major test of Republican will, these three rolled over like little puppies anxious to please, but it is worrisome to wonder who they were really pleasing.

How much will these three, and others if they feel there is no personal price to pay, cost our party and our nation over the next 4 years?

Obama & The Communist Party USA

Obama is off to a great start according the Communist Party USA (CPUSA).

A new New Deal
Given this situation, the Obama administration faces daunting challenges. Nevertheless, the new President, in my view, is off to a quick start. In less than two weeks he has:

Issued an order to close Guantanamo prison and end torture - a practice that stains our image, violates our constitution, and endangers our troops in the field.

Signed the Lilly Ledbetter bill that would give much greater scope to workers’ discrimination claims as well as a bill that would extend health care to millions of children.

Released funds to clinics that serve women’s heath care needs in developing countries.

Expressed support for higher fuel efficiency standards for motor vehicles—something the United Autoworkers Union (UAW) also supports.

Opened up a greatly needed dialogue with the Muslim and Arab world.

Dispatched George Mitchell to the Middle East in hopes of mediating the Palestinian-Israeli conflict—a conflict that cannot be solved by military means, but only by negotiation between the Israeli government and the representatives of the Palestinian people with aim of establishing an independent and viable Palestinian state and the right of both states live peacefully and within secure borders.

The President met with military generals to map out a withdrawal plan for Iraq.

And Obama has so much more goody goodness already in the works for us.

If this is the case, the Obama administration and the broad coalition that supports him will almost inevitably have to consider—and they already are—the following measures:

Public ownership of the financial system and the elimination of the shadow banking system and exotic derivatives.

Public control of the Federal Reserve Bank.

Counter-crisis spending of a bigger size and scope to invigorate and sustain a full recovery and meet human needs—something that the New Deal never accomplished.

Strengthening of union rights in order to rebalance the power between labor and capital in the economic and political arenas.

Trade agreements that have at their core the protection and advancement of international working-class interests.

Equality in conditions of life for racial minorities and women.

Democratic public takeover of the energy complex as well as a readiness to consider the takeover of other basic industries whose future is problematic in private hands.

Turning education, childcare, and healthcare into “no profit” zones.

Rerouting investment capital from unproductive investment (military, finance and so forth) to productive investment in a green economy and public infrastructure.

Changing direction of our nation’s foreign policy toward cooperation, disarmament, and diplomacy. We can’t have threats, guns and military occupations on the one hand and butter, democracy, goodwill, and peace on the other.

Full-scale assault on global warming.

Serious and sustained commitment to assisting the developing countries, which are locked in poverty and misery.

Just to make their marching orders clear to Obama the CPUSA wrapped up with this:

Staring us in the face are some immediate challenges
First, we have to support the passage of the President's stimulus bill in the Senate.

Second, we have to block any Republican efforts to derail the nomination of Hilda Solis, the nominee for the Secretary of Labor. This is the first round in the battle to pass the Employee Free Choice Act, which will dramatically expand the right to join a union in this country. Some may think this is a struggle of only the labor movement. But nothing could be further from the truth. A bigger labor movement in this country would strengthen the struggle on every front. No one expressed this point better than Martin Luther King toward the end of his life.

Third, we have to join others in resisting evictions and foreclosures—not to mention cutbacks and layoffs at the state and city level.

Fourth, the wars of occupation in Iraq and Afghanistan have to be brought to a close. As former President Lyndon Johnson realized too late, wars of occupation (in his case, Vietnam) can quickly ruin a presidency that has great promise.

In any case, we have our work cut out for us. But I think we can confidently say that change is coming. And we will build a more perfect union.

Yes, we can.

Why would a group such as CPUSA or individuals around the country believe for a second that Socialism, National Socialism and Communism will work in this country when it has failed every where it has ever been tried? For power. That power always used unions as the sledge hammer to beat citizens into line.

Most of the time, that failure included the murder and death of tens of millions, the poverty of hundreds of millions, but most importantly of all, the poverty of the soul of all that led, joined or that were subjugated.

Welcome to the Obama future if you aren't ready to fight it.

Obama's Newsweek May Finally Get One Right

Call Your Congressman & Tell Them To Vote NO On The Stimulus Plan

With no shame at all, well maybe a tad, I stole this from Webutante. Pass it on to everyone you know, kinda know or want to know.

Dialing for Dollars: Call The White House, Your Senators and Congressmen Now About the Stimulus
THEN START DIALING LIBERALS LIKE PELOSI (202 225-4965)
WHITE HOUSE CONTACT INFO (202 456-1111, direct)
CONTACTING CONGRESS
LOOKING FOR PORK IN YOUR STATE AND BEYOND AT STIMULUS WATCH

I've just gotten off the phone with The White House, Congressman Jim Cooper's office and both Senators Lamar Alexander's and Bob Corker's assistants. Each office I called had a real live person answer the phone and actually take notes on what I had to say. Now that's democracy in action.

Each staff person I talked to assured me that they would interupt President Obama, Senators Corker and Alexander and Rep. Cooper from whatever else they were doing and tell them I had just called. No really.

And when I finish this post, do my hair, get my stuff together to take to the dry cleaners, I'm then going to start called the offices of Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Henry Waxman (202 225-3976), Sen. Harry Reid and on and on. What better things do we have to do than try to save ourselves and our children and grandchildren from this pathetic nonsense?

Anyway, I'm very glad I took the time to do this though I had to force myself to make that first call. After that it got easier. I'm posted contact information again for the White House and Congress which I hope you'll use.

For the record, I kept my message brief and simple. Here are the few points I made:

1. The best stimulus is cutting government spending.
2. The second best stimulus is keeping taxes low for individuals and businesses.
3. It is monumentally important that small businesses and entrepreneurs have low and lower tax rates and regulation since it is this economic group that creates the most jobs in America today. The more taxes and regulation, the greater the cost of running a business. And when costs go up, jobs are cut out or greatly scaled back. This will hurt our economy even more.
4. Allow businesses and banks to fail instead of putting them on permanent life support and making zombies out of them. Don't take consequences away from poor business decisions.
5. Much of the bill contains President Obama's domestic agenda that will increase Big Government, rather than create real stimulus which will jump-start the private sector.

These are more than enough. If you have more, and there certainly are many more, please post them in the comments below. Please make the time to do whatever you can to have your voice be heard. It's so important.

Get calling.

The Stimulus Plan IS The National Catastrophe

President Says Stimulus Plan Needed to Avoid 'National Catastrophe'...

Let's see. The President has never had a real job. The Congressional leadership brings many dittos to the aformentioned. The writers of the plan get sweetheart deals because of their positions, denied that Freddy Mac & Fannie Mae were in trouble or are under investigation for corruption. Uh-uh, no potential for catastrophe with this mix.

If Arlen Specter or any other Republican vote for this catastrophe they are dumber than a box of rocks and are in no way a Republican.

Do You Want Sex With Obama?

WOW! This is a piece that elicts a huge, "Who cares?"

Sometimes a President Is Just a President
Many women — not too surprisingly — were dreaming about sex with the president. In these dreams, the women replaced Michelle with greater or lesser guilt or, in the case of a 62-year-old woman in North Florida, whose dream was reported to me by her daughter, found a fully above-board solution: “Michelle had divorced Barack because he had become ‘too much of a star.’ He then married my mother, who was oh so proud to be the first lady,” the daughter wrote me.

This is why I have never run for president. I'd hate to disappoint or cause feelings of guilt to so many women.

This is also why I no longer read the New York Times. It is chock full of crap.

Is The Democrat Left Terrified Of Limbaugh?

Yes.

I was informed by a Democrat blogger that she didn't cut and paste. I think she does, but whatever. It is so obvious when bloggers from small, medium and large towns, the DNC, all the Demo 527s, Democrats in Congress and all the way up to the President start attacking a guy, that has been around for years, all at the same time and with the same rhetoric. Actually, it's funny in a poorly laid astro turfing kind of way.

So, in an effort to assist them in their hilarity I offer some stories they may want to cut and paste from if they haven't already.

SENATOR DEBBIE STABENOW (D-MI): coward

Controlling the medium is always the device of cowards. Cowards like Hitler, Franco, Mao and now the Democrat Party who is pushing Stabenow forward as their bait to see if she gets bit.

Sen. Stabenow wants hearings on radio 'accountability'; talks fairness doctrine
BILL PRESS: Yeah, I mean, look: They have a right to say that. They’ve got a right to express that. But, they should not be the only voices heard. So, is it time to bring back the Fairness Doctrine?
SENATOR DEBBIE STABENOW (D-MI): I think it’s absolutely time to pass a standard. Now, whether it’s called the Fairness Standard, whether it’s called something else — I absolutely think it’s time to be bringing accountability to the airwaves. I mean, our new president has talked rightly about accountability and transparency. You know, that we all have to step up and be responsible. And, I think in this case, there needs to be some accountability and standards put in place.
BILL PRESS: Can we count on you to push for some hearings in the United States Senate this year, to bring these owners in and hold them accountable?
SENATOR DEBBIE STABENOW (D-MI): I have already had some discussions with colleagues and, you know, I feel like that’s gonna happen. Yep.

It is very apparent that the ever entertaining Bill Press attracts an audience how ever small it may be. That Stabenow chose his show is apparent as well. If the shock troops of liberalism don't sign up for Fairness Doctrine duty, it probably isn't going to happen.

Question; Do Bill Press and Phil Donahue share a secret daddy? Or, are they really the same person with different wives and different glasses?

Joel Meyerowitz

Joel Meyerowitz - Bio - He was born in 1938 in New York City and graduated from Ohio State in 1959 with a degree in painting and medical illustration. He began photographing in 1962. He follows a street style photography describing his influences as from Cartier-Bresson and Robert Frank, yet he uses a large-format 8x10 camera. He shot with the equipment (thus styling) of landscape photographers, yet with street, intimate subjects. He was instrumental, along with Eggleston, in promoting the acceptance of color photography in the art community. He has a masterful control of color, and has published many books of his prints. Included in these is his first book 'Cape Light' that is considered a classic on the subject matter. Notably among his recent work is his images documenting the aftermath of the attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001. He was the singular photographer granted unrestricted access to the area surrounding ground zero immediately after the attack.

Most Braindead Drivel Of The Week

Most. Quite a word, especially in light of the cluelessness going on in the White House, the criminal activities being uncovered in confirmation hearings and the bribery-blackmail-payola legislation being spewed in Congress, but 'most' is appropriate here.

From an Ohio blogger who tends to view things from a dark corner of his mind we have:

America is living through the final manifestation of every Republican idea Republicans have ever wanted to implement. They got it all - not one item on the Republican wish list has gone undone. Not one.

And it is a spectacular, total failure.

Tens of thousands of people lose their jobs every single week as a result of Republican ideology. Every 401(k) in the country is gutted because of Republican policy. Every bank in the country is teetering on collapse because of Republican philosophy. Every homeowner in the country has lost tens of thousands of dollars in value in their largest investment because of Republican dogma. Millions of homeowners have lost their home because of Republican lack of oversight.

We are living the dream Republicans have dreamt of for decades. Only one problem - it’s a nightmare.

Every word a delight to those who refuse to learn history or to understand current events and refuse to look in the mirror. It scares them. Their paltry faith in the beliefs they call their own, which they have combed from who knows where, is so fragile that they must blame everything on their opponents, both real and imagined.

Their wrath and righteous indignation spews from their keyboards, as if they stand in our rooms and offices, to create a windmill tilting clarion call for justice.

Well, I have news for the disenfranchised who for eight years called our president names to humiliate him and to make themselves feel important. You're still disenfranchised.

The world didn't care then and doesn't care now to listen to ranting made only to alleviate the ranter. Even the conservative member of politics knows that our Republican form of government is one of compromise.

Our side of the aisle knows full well that Republicans in Congress represented us poorly as they acted like they owned their jobs, could spend our money freely and many Republicans knowing that, just stayed home this last election and the one before it.

The policies that grew the greatest prosperity in modern times came from luminaries in our political system, not gutter snipers that belly ached that even in success, such as almost full employment, that it came on the backs of those that didn't work.

This, then, is the "total failure" of Republican policy. That now greed is being punished and businesses' suffer from policies pushed, unfortunately, by both parties is not a total failure of Republican policy, it is the result of governmental folly that it knows enough of business to tell business how to do business. Governments know as much of social justice as a watch knows about time. Both are merely mechanisms and when they are used to go beyond their mechanical abilities, they cause failure.

So, rant on about your imagined nightmares from a mind not fully occupied. Politics is a passionate endeavor, but a hard nosed one as well. Rants of bravado may have a place on the field of battle, the sports arena and the political rally/protest, but it is generally a nuisance to those trying to do the business of governing.
