Intense Effort Letter For World Peace

President Barack Obama has written a personal letter to North Korean leader Kim Jong Il as part of an intense effort to draw the reclusive nation back to nuclear disarmament talks, a senior State Department official said Tuesday.

Let's Tabulate The Bribers, Extortionists And Cheats For Health Care Reform

Opener for this list comes from Norma who writes at Collecting My Thoughts:

Extortion, threats, and corruption in the White House
Offutt Airforce Base is being threatened with the BRAC list (closure) if Ben Nelson (D-NE) doesn't fall in line. Michael Goldfarb, the Weekly Standard. That's thousands of jobs--a lot more than the piddling few Illinois will get with transferring prisoners from Gitmo. I'm still trying to find this story somewhere other than the blogosphere. Not that our media is so great about telling us what's going on with the stinks-to-the-heavens in this administration, but this is our security he's threatening, if that is true.

Offnut Air Force Base is the headquarters of the Strategic Command, the successor to the Strategic Air Command. So Nelson, Nebraska and the nation are having their security threatened as well as thousands of current and future jobs so Obama, Reid, Pelosi and the rest of the progressive losers in Congress can legislate a health care reform that the voters do not want.

The only thing more reprehensible will be if Nelson doesn't go public and name names so his constituents will understand his vote.

ObamasCare Nears Despite Huge Opposition By Voters

As Reid bribes and threatens more members, the foundation of government controlled health care is being laid. The ensuing bureaucracy's building will be built after. It will be twice as large and more opulent, but quite a bit uglier than Versailles. Oh, and just as useless and tone deaf to the wants of the people as the original.

The Only Real Question

Who is being bought with what?

Three Questions for Health Care Reform
First, what are the progressives getting? What are those in Washington gaining by passing this health care bill by any means necessary? Bribery, coercion, lies and deception have all been employed — so what is it that this health care bill is really all about?

At least we got a second Louisiana purchase and a bit of honesty:

SEN. MARY LANDRIEU (D-LA.): And so it came to pass that Landrieu walked onto the Senate floor midafternoon Saturday to announce her aye vote -- and to trumpet the financial "fix" she had arranged for Louisiana. "I am not going to be defensive," she declared. "And it's not a $100 million fix. It's a $300 million fix."

I'd say that we are being sold for thirty pieces of silver, but I doubt anyone in Congress really understands the meaning.
