Democrats Backroom Deal To Avoid Looking Corrupt

Dann apparently seeks deal to quit
Facing impeachment, attorney general reportedly wants end to probe
Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann apparently is trying to negotiate the terms of his resignation, offering to quit if legislative leaders kill a bill that would authorize Inspector General Thomas P. Charles to investigate the scandal in Dann's office.

Apparently not wanting to look like corrupt backroom dealers the Democrats are making backroom deals as they look to November 2008.

I think Dann is just the tip of the iceberg.
