Dem recruits continue to head for exits
Expect more. Rahm Emanuel created the monster he calls conservative Democrats, Blue Dogs, and now they and future recruits are biting back. None of them in office currently, such as Zack Space, could have won if they told the truth of where they stood politically.
Oh, Emanuel will pour in the money for the 2010 elections to point out the utopia they have brought us, but Zack and friends can't hide or change their votes oh health care reform, cap and trade and other instruments of big government socialism.
I think Americans will take America back in 2010 thus thwarting Obamanism, but it will continue to grow unless there is a veto proof congress able turn the clock back to smaller government and more freedom.
Here's to a great 2010.
The big mistake of Republican leadership is thinking that going through the motions of listening to their "base" is the same thing as actually listening to the base. They keep trying to drag us to where they think we should be instead of joining us where we are. -- Yael
Since this is an era when many people are concerned about "fairness" and "social justice," what is your "fair share" of what someone else has worked for? -- Thomas Sowell
If we have another 2,000 people killed, I want Nancy Pelosi and George Soros, John Conyers and Pat Leahy to go to the funeral and say, 'Your son was vaporized because we didn't want to dump some guy's head under water for 30 seconds.' -- Peter King

May you all be safe and successful in your mission.
The next year, as I entered the sixth grade, I was sent to Howe Military School (why is another story) which turned my life around in many ways and all to the good. Yes, it took two years of getting the most swats and detentions, but the slow turn to productivity and self discipline took place even as my mind fought it with every ounce of strength it had. Behind the scenes was Father Bowling. He changed my life.
Because of Father Bowling I studied long and hard in school and in his communion classes. They were rough, but he cajoled, gave support and punished us when we were woefully not doing as we should. Father Bowling understood the minds of boys just entering the "dirty" world of puberty and changed the change into something good and clean with his gentle, but firm direction. I can still remember the day I sat in a small room and was told I was now ready for confirmation. I exited the room and there stood Father Bowling with a big smile on his face. As we lounged on his lawn with his wife and children eating a celebratory meal I felt for the first time in my life that I had not just accomplished something, but something of import that was good.
Soon, I entered training to be an acolyte. Father Bowling was again right there beside us cajoling, supporting and guiding us along the path. The correct and respectful way to carry the cross at the head of processions (if you were lucky enough to be chosen), the best way to swing the incense (smells and bells!) and the timely ringing to Agnus Dei (Lamb of God) were under his watchful eye. The memory of the Corp singing "For All The Saints" still sends a chill down my spine. The Word of God was spoken each Sunday High Mass and Wednesday evening services in a dignified and glorious way. It was personal. It was the word of God.
After Howe I went to another private school, which was very elite and will remain unnamed, which was also Episcopal based, but tended to favor whatever had nothing to do with the Word of God. The congregation out did each other through hats, furs, expensive shoes and snooty attitudes. Not to be out done, the students wore blazers and ties with matching blue jean shirts and Top-Siders worn and scuffed to just the right amount of shabby chic. There was no true piety nor Glory. Most of us went to the gardens at the Greek amphitheater and smoked and told dirty jokes. My path downward was set and abetted by the church.
After years of fun filled drugs, alcohol and really great rock and roll I grew tired of the "life". My total failure as a husband and a father had caused my marriage to collapse. I was looking hard at myself and didn't like what I saw. An aging rock and roller standing there with a drink in one hand, a cigarette in the other and the echoes of CBGB's music rattling around in a bruised brain is not only not pretty, it is also not productive in a way that sucks the life out of those you love. Time for a change.
I started putting my life back together and still felt I was torn between the different lives I had constructed or had fallen into. I started work in the DC area and applied myself hard. Once again I felt myself turning back to the good. My children stood with me which to this day is amazing and wonderful. One day I walked into work and saw her. She wore a dress that reminded me of my grandmother and had a smile that left me unable to speak, but once I did, I couldn't stop. I had found a partner who put me back together again.
I took her to an Episcopal church which was my first time back in many years. It felt hollow. I then took her to the crown jewel of the Episcopal Church, North America, the National Cathedral. I explained that my sisters had attended school there and I had been baptized there. She stared at the felt banners proclaiming God's love of everything the Bible speaks against and she ran her fingers over the plaques with the names of those that had donated a window or this or that and said, "Lets get outta here. I'm spooked and standing on top of an admiral. Need more?"
She, being Catholic, took me to a Catholic church. I liked it. Because of my past we couldn't get married in the Catholic Church so we got married in an Anglican church. Ironically we now attend a Catholic church bearing my name which I share with a saint. My sisters still joke that they are going to donate lightening rods to protect the building when I attend, just to be on the safe side. Even more ironical, I found out that my father had been raised Catholic, but had switched to Episcopal for my mother when they married. He referred to Jesuits, who had beaten an education into him, as God's Black Shirts. He never mentioned his religious upbringing. I later found my/his relatives buried in Holy Cross and St. Vincent's cemeteries. A long way from St. Albans and the National Cathedral. Religiously, my two lives finally dovetailed in an odd way only my family could accomplish.
I still miss the Episcopal Church. But then I read things like this:
The Hypocrisy of the Left
I was pleased to find an Episcopal church whose website focused on religion, not ObamaCare. I left a message for the priest that I was looking for a church that didn't press a political agenda because I wasn't a liberal.
I received an icy reply from the priest, the Reverend Lucy, who said with barely-contained disgust, "I don't think you should check us out."
Her response left me shaken and angry. I understand that leftists despise conservatives. I have seen that creepy look of pure hatred when I naïvely told a leftist friend about my political conversion.
But an Episcopal priest rejecting me during the holiest time of year? Isn't anything or anyone sacred?
In shunning me, the Reverend Lucy exposed not only her own hypocrisy, but the duplicity of the left itself. She unveiled the left's dirty little secret -- that their doctrines are as bogus as global warming.
I am not surprised. At all. But I still miss Father Bowling and the intellectual and spiritual sustenence he provided to all that sought them (and a few who didn't).

DEM DEATH WATCH: Beleaguered Sen. Nelson to air TV ad tonight...
30 Points Down in Reelection Bid...
Zack's buddies in the SEIU and other unions are working furiously behind the scenes to be exempted from all the things they don't like, but we'll get screwed blue with what we can't stop and what we haven't yet seen.
It's time to remind Zack that we don't like his votes nor do we like his arrogance in deciding he knows better than us. Now if we can only get Zack to actually show up and face the voters some time. Yeah, like that is going to happen.
My 2010 New Year's wish for Andrew is that he finds a less self directed satirical obsession than Sarah Palins birth canal.

Those posts, beginning in 2005, show a teenager looking for a new life outside his boarding school and wealthy Nigerian family.
Most of all, they paint a portrait of someone who seems lost and needs someone to hear him.
The postings seem hastily written and are replete with spelling and grammar errors. In one, on Jan 28. 2005, he wrote: "i am in a situation where i do not have a friend, i have no one to speak too, no one to consult, no one to support me and i feel depressed and lonely. i do not know what to do."

Janet Napolitano: 'The System Worked'
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano did the rounds on the Sunday shows to address the botched Christmas bombing. (Catch up on Wire coverage of the terror attempt here and here.) She stressed the safety of air travel, and repeatedly said in an upbeat tone that "the system worked" and "everything happened that should have."
This administration has in place some of the most inept people that I have ever seen in politics. Janet Napolitano is worse than Robert Gibbs who is a woesome prevaricator and she less sense than Rahm Emanuel. With personnel like this protecting our country, the Republic's future is in serious doubt.
"The system worked"? Did she really say that? Nah, she couldn't have. Could she?

Dems not worried about post-vote backlash at home
Democrats today have repeatedly expressed a confidence that they won't face a backlash for their votes when they return home for the holidays, which would stand in marked contrast to the August recess.
Majority Leader Harry Reid said, "We're going to hear an earful, but it's going to be an earful of wonderment and happiness that people waited for for a long time."
Wonderment and happiness? Yeah, that's how I'd describe it. If I never wandered out of my marble palatial office. If I made sure that I never would be near the smelly hoi polloi.
Yep, those hard working smelly Americans are going to love this bill when Happy Harry shares the fairy tale dust.
Senate OKs health care measure, reaching milestone
The occasion was moving for many who'd followed Kennedy, who died in August.
"He's having a merry Christmas in Heaven," Sen. Paul Kirk, D-Mass., appointed to fill Kennedy's seat, told reporters after the tally.
Kirk said he was "humbled to be here with the honor of casting essentially his vote."

Busted: Ben Nelson Caught In The Act
Go read the rest. Nelson is reacting poorly. Kinda like a kid with his hand in the cookie jar.
That super-majority to repeal health care: “our rules mean nothing”
You may have heard the buzz that there’s a provision in the Senate health care bill that it can only be repealed with a 2/3 super-majority of the Senate. That seems impossible and unconstitutional. But it appears to have been inserted for at least one section of the bill, that referring to the so-called “death panels,” otherwise known as the Independent Medicare Advisory Boards.
I don't know why anyone would complain. This is clearly stated on page 1020 for all to see. If you can actually see a copy of the bill. Or have enough time to read the first 1019 pages.
Reid brings sleeze to a whole new level. Even by congressional standards.

Liberals have become shameless racists to explain away opposition to their ever increasing socialist agenda.
Maybe I am not traveling in the same social set as Sen. Whitehouse, but I have not found those opposed to health care reform to be birthers, right-wing militias or members of aryan groups.
I wonder if Rhode Island agrees with Whitehouse. Ironic, his name, eh?

Health care reform, such a majestic sounding thing, is an odious bill hated by both sides, but necessary to claim forward movement for Reid and his band of little acting kids.
Once again, Reid will hold a vote in the dark of night. Less than a week before Christmas. Less supported than Harry's other lame brained ideas. Less necessary than free diaper wipes for illegal aliens.
I expected Reid, Pelosi and Obama to destroy America, but I am surprised at their audacity. Reid is a political hack, Pelosi a privileged damaged ideologue and Obama is a child man living his late night political perceived gotchas are the worst political triumvirate in American history. Game, fame and lame.
Politics such as this is usually practiced during revolution. These three might remember that this country had a revolution once. It was revolution for less government control, more freedom and the unity of man through representative democracy, a republic.
The three fail on all three.
In this revolution Ben Nelson is Benedict Arnold.
Buying the Left, Too
Earlier this week, Vermont socialist Bernie Sanders expressed his disappointment with the Senate bill, particularly its lack of a government-run insurance plan, and went so far as to say, "As of this point I am not voting for the bill." Now Sanders appears to be back in the fold. If you're wondering how Reid secured his vote (I was), here's how:
$10 Billion More for Community Health Centers will RevolutionizePrior bribes, extortions and cheats:
WASHINGTON, December 19 – A $10 billion investment in community health centers, expected to go to $14 billion when Congress completes
work on health care reform legislation, was included in a final series of
changes to the Senate bill unveiled today.
The provision, which would provide primary care for 25 million more Americans, was requested by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

I hoped against hope that Nelson would actually show some ethics, but I am not surprised. I hope when he votes on the eve of the celebration of the birth of Christ that he can be at peace with himself. I wouldn't be able to be.
Nelson says he cannot be bought
but, but but...
Every man has his price, apparently, and Harry Reid found Ben Nelson’s price for a cloture vote on ObamaCare

Democrats want to do away with the Senate
In recent months, a narrative has emerged on the Left regarding the cause of the health care debacle: It's all the fault of the United States Senate, a perverse, bizarre and dysfunctional body, which ought to be phased out or killed.
The role of the Senate is working out just as intended and that really ticks liberals off.

The Akaka bill would create a race-based state in Hawaii.
President Obama speaks proudly of his childhood in Hawaii, so we wonder what the state's voters think of his support for a bill that would redistribute its wealth based on race. That's what would happen under the Native Hawaiian Government Reorganization Act, which Congress is trying to sneak through in its final days this year.
Sponsored by Senator Daniel Akaka, the bill would transfer a percentage of public-owned lands to a native Hawaiian government within the state of Hawaii. The legislation would collect some 400,000 ethnic Hawaiians scattered across the country into a newly affiliated tribe, eventually endowed with the powers of a sovereign state, including freedom from state taxes and regulations and separate police power.
Proponents say the plan would duplicate the legal scenario set up for Native Americans, but the Akaka bill carves out new territory.
Besides, this is just a first step toward Hawaii breaking completely from the United States to become a separate nation and Senator Akaka and President Obama know this.
Race based politics has always been stupid, but this is dangerous. The melting pot that is America is our strength, but there have been rules for the melting pot achieving the American dream such as assimilation, hard work, learn our language and loyalty to the country. Just as with the Indian, this bill will foster no assimilation, no loyalty, no melting pot and never ending taxpayer hand outs which kill initiative. It will also weaken our country because the bill would achieve the opposite. It will create disloyalty.
There has been, I believe, an ongoing effort to split the United States of America. There has been, obviously, the "Indian Nation" which has been and will continue to be a failed effort on the part of the federal government to maintain reservations for the preservation of Indian culture instead of assimilation. Reservations set a precedent, which created lands within the United States as not part of the United States, and there are those attempting to link to that precedent such as Aztlan, Raza, and MEChA. No, not to set up reservations for Mexicanos, but to use the reservation precedent as a legal basis of the admitted wrongdoing by the United States to break lands away from the United States.
A six year board member of La Raza, a Mexican group that is actively pursuing the re-conquest of Southwestern United States, is a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States of America, Sonia Sotomayor. La Raza is nothing more than a hate group that was counseled by Yasser Arafat and Sotomayor helped direct and support that hate against the sovereignty of the United States. During her confirmation hearings Sotomayor answered no questions about her involvement because none were asked. It was considered impolite to question a wise Latino woman.
Miguel Perez, a La Raza spokesman at Cal State-Northridge, has been quoted as saying: “The ultimate ideology is the liberation of Aztlan. Communism would be closest [to it]. Once Aztlan is established, ethnic cleansing would commence: Non-Chicanos would have to be expelled — opposition groups would be quashed because you have to keep power.”
There is a movement within the United States made up of people and groups that have little or no loyalty to their country which includes blacks, whites, Indians, Mexicans, Hawaiians, arabs and others that would welcome the breaking up of the country. They have different agendas, but the same goal. They also have no fear of their actions because Americans have been bludgeoned into not asking for fear of charges of racism. Now these people and groups appear to have government on their side in reaching their goal.
Then there are others that will go along because, even though they are not actively working toward that goal, they believe it will profit them. Other groups that could ally with them are those who don't care, are afraid or just plain believe the propaganda against America even though they are not part of any group. Rev Wright's chickens are coming home to roost throughout the land because no one has stood up and called BS on him and his followers such as Obama.
Each group has an agenda and the stronger groups will exploit those other groups to their ends through ever changing alliances that will strengthen their numbers and their resolve toward the goal of stripping away large areas of the United States to form new counties constantly weakening us which is what they want and so do our international enemies, especially those once super powers. That will allow our wealth to become easier pickings and, more important, dim the beacon of hope for a world weary of despots, dictators and tyrants.
Hawaii is significant today as it was December 7, 1941 as it will be the modern indicator of a new war on the sovereignty of the United States of America and a U. S. Senator is leading the attack with the full support of an American president, both of which seem to have an agenda other than to protect and serve the nation.
This bill must be stopped.

Before that Sen. Mary Landrieu was able to
Questions now being asked about Blanch Lincoln are whether she was offered an administration job such as a Secretary position for her support, especially if her yes vote costs Lincoln her senate seat in the next election.
More will be coming out on not just the true cost of health care "reform", but also what the cost of votes may total.
President Chavez brought the house down.
When he said the process in Copenhagen was “not democratic, it is not inclusive, but isn’t that the reality of our world, the world is really and imperial dictatorship…down with imperial dictatorships” he got a rousing round of applause.
When he said there was a “silent and terrible ghost in the room” and that ghost was called capitalism, the applause was deafening.
But then he wound up to his grand conclusion – 20 minutes after his 5 minute speaking time was supposed to have ended and after quoting everyone from Karl Marx to Jesus Christ - “our revolution seeks to help all people…socialism, the other ghost that is probably wandering around this room, that’s the way to save the planet, capitalism is the road to hell....let’s fight against capitalism and make it obey us.” He won a standing ovation.

President Barack Obama has written a personal letter to North Korean leader Kim Jong Il as part of an intense effort to draw the reclusive nation back to nuclear disarmament talks, a senior State Department official said Tuesday.
Extortion, threats, and corruption in the White House
Offutt Airforce Base is being threatened with the BRAC list (closure) if Ben Nelson (D-NE) doesn't fall in line. Michael Goldfarb, the Weekly Standard. That's thousands of jobs--a lot more than the piddling few Illinois will get with transferring prisoners from Gitmo. I'm still trying to find this story somewhere other than the blogosphere. Not that our media is so great about telling us what's going on with the stinks-to-the-heavens in this administration, but this is our security he's threatening, if that is true.
Offnut Air Force Base is the headquarters of the Strategic Command, the successor to the Strategic Air Command. So Nelson, Nebraska and the nation are having their security threatened as well as thousands of current and future jobs so Obama, Reid, Pelosi and the rest of the progressive losers in Congress can legislate a health care reform that the voters do not want.
The only thing more reprehensible will be if Nelson doesn't go public and name names so his constituents will understand his vote.
Three Questions for Health Care Reform
First, what are the progressives getting? What are those in Washington gaining by passing this health care bill by any means necessary? Bribery, coercion, lies and deception have all been employed — so what is it that this health care bill is really all about?
At least we got a second Louisiana purchase and a bit of honesty:
SEN. MARY LANDRIEU (D-LA.): And so it came to pass that Landrieu walked onto the Senate floor midafternoon Saturday to announce her aye vote -- and to trumpet the financial "fix" she had arranged for Louisiana. "I am not going to be defensive," she declared. "And it's not a $100 million fix. It's a $300 million fix."
I'd say that we are being sold for thirty pieces of silver, but I doubt anyone in Congress really understands the meaning.

Many will blame Lieberman for Reid's failure to push ObamasCare over the top. Some of those many are piling rocks onto Reid's burden to help him fail. Some because they don't like the bill. Some that don't like Reid. Many of the many are those that are terrified that the giant rock will crush them. Reid's path to health care reform is plied with dissension, dislike and fear of political death.
Reid created his world. His Zeus is made of constituents, peers and a nation angered by his incompetence.

Average pay $30,000 over private sector
The growth in six-figure salaries has pushed the average federal worker's pay to $71,206, compared with $40,331 in the private sector.
This is an important video from Breitbart TV. Please watch it and post it and pass it on to friends and peers. It needs to be acted on immediately.
We can't stop Barney Frank, but we can stop Reid, Pelosi and Obama.
This is a great read. Simple and direct to the point.
Why Black Americans Think That the Federal Government is Our Friend
While hanging out yesterday at Ace's yesterday as he was flogging racists, I happened to mention that many if not most black Americans view the federal government as beneficial and friendly. Some other commenters were surprised and I was surprised at their surprise, because it isn't difficult to figure out why this is. Whether it's the Emancipation or the desegregation of the Armed Forces or Brown v. Board or the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts, the federal government for the most part had seemed to be on the side of the black American as his constitutional rights were being oppressed by state or local governments.
What needs to be spelled, however is what the federal government did in the above-mentioned areas: it legally removed obstacles to the life, liberty and pursuit of happiness of Americans who are black. And that it what it was supposed to do.
The present problem in my unlearned opinion is this: the federal government began overstepping its bounds during the Great Depression and did so most infamously in the late sixties via the Great Society programs. Doing more that getting local racists out of the way, the federal government sought to and succeeded in making itself the suppliers of life, liberty and, putatively, the happiness of many black Americans. (Try telling a senior of any race that Social Security is sending the country to financial ruin. You'll get an earful about her "rights".)
And even many black Americans who do not rely on the federal government still view the fed as our friend because of that history.
What's needed in order to change this perception is obvious: education--not a new education but the old one, one which contains an objective explanation of the role of government.
Simply put, the role of the American government is to remove obstacles to liberty of the People--even when that obstacle is American government itself. Supplying all of one's needs is not government's role. That's God's purview.
We all remember President Obama's statement containing the assertion that one of the flaws of the US Constitution was that is only contained a list of "negative rights," meaning negative government "rights." The idea that a Harvard-trained lawyer thinks that the government has rights or that there was no list of positive responsibilities assigned to government was mockable. (Hey, you voted for him.)
But what the statement betrayed was a widespread misconception present in those of us who aren't lawyers of any variety of a friendly fed whose role is to insert itself between God and man's liberty and to redistribute wealth (aka stealing). The notion that the founders "forgot" to address this is hilarious.
So when the Democrats came to full power this year, they began to build on the foundation that Democrat Presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lyndon B. Johnson laid. The good news? Between Socialized Medicine, Cap and Trade, TARP, etc., the federal government's active role in overstepping its bounds--in crippling America--is opening the eyes of Americans of all races. The bad news: there may not be an America left when the federal locusts finish.

Boxer compares denying women abortion coverage to denying men Viagra
As abortion took center stage in the Senate's historic debate over health care reform, Sen. Barbara Boxer was right in the middle of the fight, provocatively comparing an effort to limit women's access to abortion to restricting men's access to Viagra.
I find it amazing that Madam Boxer is a senator at all. She insults the intelligence of all voters.
The First Sign Of Corruption
The Climagate scandal is a perfect illustration of this statement. Modern society provides plenty of other examples. The extensive corruption of our political system is one of the strongest arguments against the ongoing fusion of government and industry. People of all political persuasions are generally willing to conceded that too many politicians are corrupt. I have always wondered how intellectually serious liberals can reconcile this with their desire to increase the power of the State.
To those that "support" the green movement it matters not that there is huge dissension within the scientific community about climate change, that emails have shown the deception by those that support AGW and proven outright lies by hucksters like Gore making millions from this bilge.
Well, it gets worse:
Copenhagen climate summit in disarray after 'Danish text' leak
Developing countries react furiously to leaked draft agreement that would hand more power to rich nations, sideline the UN's negotiating role and abandon the Kyoto protocol
It appears that the hoax called climate change is nothing more than tree hugging for profit.
This is important, especially in this time:
Help a Soldier in Need
My friend and fellow MARNE soldier,CJ Grisham, needs some assistance. He is an enlisted soldier and combat veteran. And he's done more for the troops by his words and actions than just about anyone I know. Please read this and help CJ if you can. THANK YOU!
While I have no problem asking for money to support these efforts, I’ve always been very bashful about asking for anything for myself. However, I feel like I must humble myself and ask for help on my own behalf in this instance.
In September, my kids brought home a note from their school stating that the school would transition to uniforms beginning in January — midway through the school year. Naturally, this concerned me as the cost for each kid (I have two who would be affected) would be at least $400. A note home to parents assured us that the principal would entertain concerns during the upcoming “uniform fashion show.” However, the principal ended that meeting without answering a question, even though numerous hands were up. After that meeting, I organized parents with concerns and began a letter-writing and phone-calling campaign to members of the school board and media. We succeeded in getting the uniform issue tabled until next year. But parents still weren’t given a voice about whether we even wanted uniforms.
Instead of deal with me and other parents who disagreed with her new policy, the school’s principal began contacting the Army with fictitious complaints that I had threatened her. She pointed to posts on my personal blog about her behavior at the meeting as proof. However, after being referred to military investigators, they concluded that I had never issued any threats through email, blog or otherwise. I collected letters from other parents attesting to my behavior at the meeting.
Unfortunately, the Army took what the principal was saying at face value and formally counseled me. Suddenly, I was a trouble maker after 15 years of honorable service. The Army practically forced me to shut down my blog, though the decision was mine alone and no orders were given to do it.
At a PTA meeting a few weeks later, I again tried to present a motion to discuss the school uniform issue with the members of the association. It was shot down by the principal and the PTA president. I was harassed the entire evening by school security officials. Thankfully, I decided it would be prudent to record that meeting. When school officials again began contacting the Army about my supposedly threatening and disrespectful behavior at the meeting, I published the video on my blog to clear my name. This didn’t sit well with school officials and only emboldened them to step up their claims and use the military to force me to take down the videos — the only piece of evidence I had to prove my innocence.
The principal even used my PTSD to try and bolster her claims that I was a dangerous menace to her and her goals.
Because of these actions, I am pursuing a lawsuit to clear my name and force the school system to admit they overstepped their bounds by denying my right to participate in my children’s education and attempt to ruin my career. Unfortunately, I can’t afford to tackle this sort of lawsuit on my own. Because of this situation, my wife and I felt the need to relocate our kids after being singled out on more than one occasion by teachers and school staff. We took our kids to live with their grandparents until my orders allowed me to relocate in December. That trip cost us over $1,400, plus another $1,500 in maintenance on our elderly van, which completely wiped out our savings.
So, I’m asking if you’ll help me. I need to raise $7,000 just to pay for the retainer and initial filing of the lawsuit.
I am reaching out through various avenues to help raise the money. I’ve enlisted the help of local media, talk shows and blogs to help me raise the money. Fellow milbloggers are reaching into their pockets and tapping their readers as well. My neighbors and local Huntsville citizens are donating to a local fund at a bank where I’m stationed.
In one week, I move to Fort Hood for the next stage of my military service. I need to at least have the retainer and initial fees raised before I leave. Anything you can do is much appreciated no matter how small.
There are a few ways you can help. On my blog, there is a Paypal link that can used to send money instantly through a debit or credit card. All money sent through that link will go into this fund. You can also mail checks or money orders to:
Grisham Legal Fund
c/o Redstone Federal Credit Union
220 Wynn Drive
Huntsville, AL 35893
Please write “Grisham Legal Fund” in the memo line if you use this option.
This has been an especially difficult time for my family as we’ve been separated from our kids for over a month. We look forward to reuniting with them for Christmas. This case is not about me versus the school district. It’s about parental rights and the limits of our educators in dealing with parental concerns, especially when those parents are in the military.
Thank you in advance and God bless you all during this holiday season.

Instead we have tax credits which is another way to spell bribery and people who are bribed should not be allowed to vote if they accept the bribe.
Maybe it is time in institute a no-tax no-vote rule.
Yep, his appearance will just nail a Gropenhagan (is Clinton going?) decision to American policy.

Copenhagen's city council in conjunction with Lord Mayor Ritt Bjerregaard sent postcards out to 160 Copenhagen hotels urging COP15 guests and delegates to 'Be sustainable - don't buy sex'.
"Dear hotel owner, we would like to urge you not to arrange contacts between hotel guests and prostitutes," the approach to hotels says.
Now, Copenhagen prostitutes are up in arms, saying that the council has no business meddling in their affairs. They have now offered free sex to anyone who can produce one of the offending postcards and their COP15 identity card, according to the Web site avisen.dk.
On the bright side, at least for Obama, Gore and groups like SEIU, at least there's another union, prostitutes, they can enlist in their effort.
They are not representative of America, in fact they are what America has deplored.
First grade sex in school lavatories, student teacher sex, having sex with older people and masturbation are part of the reading list's books that Kevin Jennings, Obama's Safe School Czar, and his group, The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) are pressing on students, teachers and school administrators nationwide.
WARNING: The material cited in the story below is very explicit, but you should read it to see for yourself the illegal sexual activity Obama's administration is recommending being taught to your children, grandchildren, in fact all children. Indeed, they, as in their other political activities, say that this is for the children, their safety and multiculturalism be it skin, nationality or sex.
Breaking: Obama's "Safe School Czar" Is Promoting Porn In Classroom - Kevin Jennings And the GLSEN Reading List
Which majority elected a president to teach that it is appropriate for children to hide in bathrooms, vehicles and secluded spots to have sex? Though religion and pride in America is wrong and unethical, sex is not only right and ethical, it is necessary in their eyes.
Each day the ineptness of this administration is seen, but so is their agenda that the electorate, who elected them, had no idea they were voting for. Could it be that Obama is on the one hand using Cap and Trade, for example, to distract from what he is doing with the other hand, which is undermining our culture, society and political systems from the bottom up?
Jennings shouldn't be anywhere near school administration, he should be in prison.

Elected Officials Score Lower than the General Public
The ISI civic Literacy survey was not designed to test the civic knowledge of elected officials, but it did discover evidence of an interesting pattern that may merit further exploration.
All survey respondents were asked whether they have ever engaged in any of 13 different political and civic activities. These included, for example, registering to vote, signing a petition, contacting a public official, publishing a letter to the editor, and whether they have ever been elected to a government office.
Among the 2,508 respondents, 164 say they have been elected to a government office at least once. This sub-sample of officeholders yields a startling result: elected officials score lower than the general public. Those who have held elective office earn an average score of 44% on the civic literacy test, which is five percentage points lower than the average score of 49% for those who have never been elected. It would be most interesting to explore whether this statistically significant result is maintained across larger samples of elected officials.
The elected officeholders come from the ranks of Democrats (40%), Republicans (31%), Independents (21%), and those who say they belong to no party or indicate no affiliation (8%). None were asked to specify what office they held, so the proportion in which they held local, state, or federal positions is unknown.
Not all officeholders do poorly, of course. Some elected officials rank among the highest scorers. But the failure rate on the test among those who have won public office is higher (74%) than among those who have not (71%). Officeholders scored lower on all sub-themes of the test: political history, cultural institutions, foreign relations, and market economy.
In each of the following areas, for example, officeholders do more poorly than non-officeholders:
- Seventy-nine percent of those who have been elected to government office do not know the Bill of Rights expressly prohibits establishing an official religion for the U.S.
- Thirty percent do not know that “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” are the inalienable rights referred to in the Declaration of Independence.
- Twenty-seven percent cannot name even one right or freedom guaranteed by the First Amendment.
- Forty-three percent do not know what the Electoral College does. One in five thinks it either “trains those aspiring for higher political office” or “was established to supervise the first televised presidential debates.”
- Fifty-four percent do not know the Constitution gives Congress the power to declare war. Thirty-nine percent think that power belongs to the president, and 10% think it belongs to the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
- Only 32% can properly define the free enterprise system, and only 41% can identify business profit as “revenue minus expenses.”
On some questions, Americans who have held elected office do better than Americans who have not. They are a little more likely, for example, to recognize the language of the Gettysburg Address (23% to 21%) and to know that the question of whether slavery should be allowed to expand into new territories was the main issue in the Lincoln–Douglas debates (25% to 20%).
Officeholders and non-officeholders find it equally difficult to identify the three branches of government. Only 49% of each group can name the legislative, executive, and judicial.
'Fraud and related activity in connection with computers having knowingly accessed a computer without authorization' it goes on, calling it a crime, so part of our looking at this will be looking at criminal activity"
Living in Manhattan, I would walk to and fro to work in the dark, very late or very early, and would come across huge swaths of posters attached to any available surface.

Denmark Rife With C02 Fraud.
At this point it is believed that the CDC will not have the time to gestate enough doses of reality to save the North American population from Congress. There is a hope spreading world wide that it will start snowing and continue through the rest of 2009 preventing Congress from convening and voting on this fraud. When faced with reality, Congress has voted exactly wrong almost always in the modern era.
Ventura says MSNBC nixed his show for not supporting Iraq War
When you live in Mexico, your houses all have names. I almost named my house Casa MSNBC because they bought it. I was paid like a professional athlete, and I got very wealthy. For doing nothing.
I would like to see a smackdown between Ventura and Olbermann. They could both wear pink spandex, tin foil hats and large orange boas. Afterwards they could reflect together on a Mexican beach sipping Pina Coladas. With little umbrellas. And magic sparkly dust that shows them truth, justice and the American way. In Mexico.

Forty boundary stones, made of Aquia freestone, originally marked the four sides of the diamond-shaped square of the District of Columbia, North, South, East and West. The stones were square with a pyramid shape at the top and were laid out, each stone a mile apart, by Benjamin Banneker and Major Andrew Ellicott between 1791 and 1792. On the sides facing the states, the names of the states were inscribed. On the opposite side were the words "Jurisdiction of the United States." These boundary stones are the oldest federal monuments in the United States.
The White House was built using Aquia sandstone but the stone was painted white. After the War of 1812, when the White House was burned, the structure was washed and cleaned but more of the Aquia freestone was brought in to restore the building.
Parts of the Capitol building are built with Aquia sandstone including the original gatehouses which can now be found at Constitution Ave and 15th and 17th Streets in Washington. The stone is unpainted and the original color can be seen.
Ohio now taxes every thing one does and taxes it at usuary rates.
Special plate fees $25.00
State license tax $31.00
Local/county tax $10.00
Service fee $ 3.50
Postage $ 0.37
Of the 50 states, Ohio now ranks as the 8th most taxed state, according to the Census Bureau, of all the United States of America. When I left for Washington, DC all those years ago, Ohio was, as I remember, the 42nd most taxed state in the United States.
In terms of state and local taxes, in 1977 Ohio ranked 45th in the country for the amount individual tax burdens. By 2008 Ohio had moved to 7th in the nation.
It's time for all this tax stuff to stop. We can't just blame Strickland because there was Taft Jr., Gilligan, Celeste, Voinovich and legislatures that bought votes and monuments to their dim status as legislators. Nothing puts gravitas to a career as much as having pretty much every building, bridge and pig pen named after you.
It is obvious that having one's name attached to great deeds is a good way to be remembered, but cutting the size, scope and impact of government probably won't have a building with a big bureaucracy in it to do such a deed, ergo, nobody gets to put their name on it by legislating huge sums of money to something to cut huge sums of money. Wait a minute, I think this has already been tried.
Anyway, I'll pay for the new tags, but I'm tired of it all.
