New Science Constantly Chipping Away Old Science

Science, as generally taught, can be dry, but science is fascinating. Two finds in recent years suggest that it is once again time to re-look accepted science.

European style stone tools suggest Stone Age people actually discovered America

But now, it appears Europeans might have been first to arrive on the scene after all. Stone tools found recently in Delaware, Maryland and Virginia in the eastern United States, all appear to bear a striking resemblance to tools used by Stone Age peoples in early Europe, and have been dated to a time between 19,000 and 26,000 years ago, a period during which Stone Age people were making such tools, and long before the early Asians arrived.

and

"Before we rewrite the history of European settlement we have to consider a number of issues, particularly the circumstances of the discovery," archaeologist Adam Ford told the Telegraph.
"The fact the skull is in good condition and found alone could easily point to it coming from a private collection and skulls were very popular with collectors in the 19th century."
Cassie Mercer, editor of Australia And New Zealand Inside History, said the  "could be an incredible find".
"I guess it's a very exciting find because it could open up a whole lot of avenues of history that we haven't been able to explore before," she told AFP.
This exciting stuff. Look for more.

OOPS! AGW's Settled Science Changes Again

Thursday, May 02, 2013

Oh, My. More Unsettled Science

This appears to be more prevalent in science than truth. How many other cases of pay to play money for nothing research? Maybe we should look at the studies on Al Gore's chakra again? You know, we'll call it energy research and get lots of government money.

Fraud In The Social Sciences

The more you manipulate your data (and there are lots of ways to massage your data so that it shows what you’d likeeven without knowing you’re doing it), the more likely you are to come up with a publishable result. Peer review acts as something of a check on this, of course. But your peers don’t know if, for example, you decided to report only the one time your experiment worked, instead of the seven times it didn’t.

Fraud. Plain and simple. And the state of science today.

Manufactured Outrage Goes To Colleges

Racism is just one tool for campus organization for political purposes.

A quick search of racist graffiti on campus on Google listing the first 12 of 20 cites. Contrived? I think so in that the message and the occurrences appear the same. In many cases the police did not become involved until some student suddenly noticed the markings sparking protests from campus groups already organized and from faculty groups organized to assist the outraged student groups. Variations of the Duke University incident where the students were found innocent of all charges, but are still vilified by the university, the faculty and student groups still perpetuating the myth of a racial attack and rape.

Manufactured Outrage Goes To College

Hate speech at Oberlin College? Sounds fishy:

Sounds a little to coincidental to events at Denison University a few years ago:

It appears that the manufactured outrage ploy has hit campus. Expect it to grow as their policies continue to fail. On the bright side, if they're all in sensitivity training they will have less time to do more damage to the real world.

We'll have to wait for Oberlin. They're not talking. Yet.

The devastating effects of SEQUESTER

The devastation of Obama's sequester:

Planes will fall out of the sky
Agencies that don’t even exist will have their budgets cut
Violent criminals will be set free at an even higher rate
9-1-1 call centers will magically become federal thus devastated by the sequester
NOAA will have even less luck predicting hurricanes
First Responders will be the last to know so Valerie Jarrett can keep doing whatever it is she does
Santa and the Easter Bunny could be late next year
Old Faithful will no longer be faithful
TBDBITL will only be able to afford block OHIO
The First State, Delaware, will fall to second
Americans will no longer be allowed a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day, just a so-so one
TSA will tick off even more people
Illegal wiretaps won’t be translated
Less security at Benghazi’s diplomatic station

On the plus side, ambulance chasers won't have to chase out of gas ambulances

Obama's Lewser Of The Week

If we get anymore assists from academia we should be able to got broker faster.

Distinguished Pol of the Week

Lew’s tenure at New York University, where he pulled down an enormous salary, including sweetheart loans, while the students were footing enormous tuition bills. Worse, under his nose NYU negotiated a deal with Citicorp (miraculously, Lew’s next employer!) to provide loans to students, a deal that then-state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo found to be illegal.

Meet Obama's new secretary of the treasury. He'll fit right in. Another academic that knows nothing, but how to game the system.

Left Wing Nut Job Used SPLC Target Hate Map To Murder

Leftwing Domestic Terrorist Pleads Guilty in Family Research Council Shooting; Update: Corkins Used SPLC ‘Hate Map’

Floyd Corkins
Supports Obama - check
Loves Hillary - check
Learned hate in college - check
Hates Christians - check
LibProg - check

It appears that a great many mass murderers have leftist ideas. Is it time to call it right and say Liberals and Progressive are Hate Groups?

Wouldn't be wrong.

More On That Settled Science

Report shows UN admitting solar activity may play significant role in global warming
“Even after the IPCC acknowledges extensive evidence for ... solar forcing beyond what they included in their models, they still make no attempt to account for this omission in their predictions. ... It's insane.”

AGW is still out there and its bitter clingers like to always say, "but" even as science shows that climatology is not settled science.

MSNBC And Other Media Interpret Their Evil For Us

Don't worry, the media will "edit" this to make it look right. They will show she deserved the heckling. The video will "demonstrate" that brought on herself. In the next segment they will "look" at the way she was dressed just before and during the incident.

Another Day In Obama Land Which Means Another Violation

Since it now appears that Obama is a skeet shooting dead eye dick we can return to all the Wild West comparisons when talking of his administration. Though, I am not sure if the story line is one of Johnny Behan or Mongo.

Another federal lawsuit has been filed alleging that senior Environmental Protection Agency officials violated the Freedom of Information Act, this time by instructing subordinates to ignore two FOIA requests from a non-profit advocacy group that is often critical of the agency.

Unions Start Eating Their Own

I'm sure Jimmy "Let’s take these sons of bitches out" Hoffa (the unburied one) is probably behind this and having a tizzy. On the horizon he and the teacher union bosses sees no money, no job, no chance of thuggery and no political power. Oh, noes.

What's a union guy to do? Sue his members!

AGW: Another One Bites The Dust

It will be interesting to see how and who attacks this report. Not that interesting, but if one has nothing else to do ...

AGW Bombshell? A new paper shows statistical tests for global warming fails to find statistically significantly anthropogenic forcing

But at least Aljeezera Gore made his money. Is America great or what!
