That is the issue at present, but detractors of our legal system, as usual, want to speak to other issues, not the issue of law.
What is worse is than the fact that some of those detractors ignore this issue and they detour further into areas that they are wholly incapable of understanding, they do so from positions of influence. Or are they incapable?
Whoopi Goldberg said on The View, “It was something else but I don’t believe it was rape-rape. He went to jail and when they let him out he was like ‘This guy’s gonna give me 100 years. I’m not staying,” she added.
Later in the programme, she added: “We’re a different kind of society, we see things differently. Would I want my 14-year-old having sex? Not necessarily, no.”
ACORN has shown a pattern of illegal use of federal funds (for housing for the poor) in the political arena. The electoral fraud, racketeering, tax evasion, child sex laws and whore house advice are side issues and, though, still representative of ACORN, they are not the issue, just the catalyst for the current headlines concerning ACORN.
Whoopi Goldberg on The View said, "Here is the gist of what happened. ACORN is a group that is a group of community organizers. They have several places across the country and they work with poor folks and disenfranchised folks for housing, for medical health and all kinds of stuff. The Republicans have always felt that there was something a little off about ACORN and no one could actually put their finger on it. So now two young filmmakers who say that they're conservatives went out to show the kinds of people that are working for ACORN and to give credence to the ideas that, you know, this is not a good organization."
Again, addressing the core issue about federal funding of ACORN is ignored to speak of the things that Goldberg thinks are good about ACORN and she may well purport in the future that in the ACORN case that there was no real fraud-fraud in assisting a potential under the legal radar whore house in illegally immigrating underage girls to serve a prostitutes. That the whore house will evade taxes needed for ACORN's poor is mere bonus for the pimp.
That Republicans do not like, trust or believe ACORN is a given, but that is not the issue. No where does Ms. Goldberg address the 175 groups set up to filter, hide and move taxpayer dollars, paid to ACORN for housing, to be used for political means. Is Goldberg incapable of understanding and addressing these issues or is she turning a blind eye to an organization that supports her political agenda?
I choose Goldberg as an illustrative point of purposeful political denial to address a world and political view detrimental to the core values of the United States of America. One may take virtually any issue, such as illegal immigration, taxation, states rights and others and find that the core issues have not and will not be addressed, because those core issues do not fit the liberal narrative. The Constitution, laws and facts are inconvenient truths that block the desires of liberal groups. The same Constitution, laws and facts that stand between political power and liberals must be denied.
Polanski is guilty of one charge and is now charged with flight and evading sentencing. ACORN has been found guilty of many things, but is now being investigated and charged with illegal use of taxpayer funds.
Remember, William Jefferson Clinton was impeached, not for receiving oral sex from a young lady entrusted into his charge, but for lying to a Grand Jury. And it doesn't matter if the young lady and her parents thought that W. J. Clinton was a nice guy and shouldn't suffer.
UPDATE: Webutante has an excellent post about the Polanski affair and his forced affair with a 13 year old girl.

Chicago would bring a lot to the Olympics. A gold in arm-twisting would be headline stuff if a non-Chicagoan won, weightlifting over 300 pounds of cash in the snatch category might only get one a bronze, but lying out of both sides of your mouth (in church) will get you a silver.
Forget golf unless the clubs are larger and sharpened at one end, forget ball room dancing unless beating your partner to death is included, forget cricket unless the bats have nails and the gloves have brass knuckles and darts is just too tame.
Rioting! That's the ticket. Gangs competing for gold by beating one another to death. Though hard to differentiate from politics, rioting is a school sport.

Secretary slams political 'trash talk'
"Now, when you get farmers picking their corn and beans, driving around in their (tractor) cabs listening to, from 9 to 3, these guys all revved up against Obama, against everything that he's trying to accomplish, that gets people stirred up. "
Yeah, nothing worse than those hick farmers listening to Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck. They just might grab a pitchfork when they hear what this administration has planned.
LaHood went on to say, "And it also gives the idea that maybe these politicians don't know what they're doing."
Yep, he'd be right about that.
Jeez, do these guys know why we had our butts kicked in elections of late. We acted and voted like Democrats, tried to be really really nice guys and finally ended up as corrupt as Rangle.

Her launch board was Astrotearing for civility and Astroturfing protests against insurance companies. I have to assume that her civility includes not using inflammatory rhetoric such as un-American,, Nazi and other slurs.
Now that we've all enjoyed that fine performance of Astrotearing for health and civility we can now look forward to the Astrosurfing section of their political drama; hating on insurance companies.
Health reformers targeting 'enemies'
But Health Care for America Now (HCAN), which is backed by a coalition of labor unions and liberal groups including ACORN and MoveOn.org, organized the protests to target insurance companies and drafted the plan, which describes the demonstrations as part of its "insurance enemies project."
The document, a copy of which was obtained by The Washington Times, details specific talking points, tactics, props and strategies to stage the protests. It lists goals that include action that "mobilizes our base by animating existing anger about private insurers."
The HCAN field plan dictates that each protest will include a minimum of 30 participants, target only health care insurers CIGNA, WellPoint and United Health Care and showcase what it calls "victims," or people who have either lost insurance, can't afford it or were denied coverage because of pre-existing medical conditions.
"We built a campaign to win health care reform and that is exactly what we are working on," said HCAN national spokeswoman Jacki Schechner, who authenticated the documents. But she asserted: "There is nothing top-down about this."
Nah, nothing top-down about this.
HCAN designed the demonstrations set for Tuesday to "help shape new national narrative around the national health care debate" by vilifying insurance companies, according to the field plan.
The strategy aims to sway Capitol Hill lawmakers by making them choose between voting for the president's health care reforms or siding with insurance companies.
Street theater always has to have some good ole pathos (and humor it appears), so bring on the no top-down faux victims and clerics to make demands a stalk insurance company executives.
Tactics listed in the field plan include "large-scale rally or march to insurance company with victims leading delegation in to speak to CEO or other spokesperson." It suggests materials or props including signs, pictures and "good stories that embody our key message."
Under the heading "escalation," the plan advises: "We could start with a delivery to the office and then escalate by bird-dogging the CEO or company by bringing smaller delegations every day to this location or others until we get an answer."
Another tactic described in the document is "vigils featuring faith leaders [or] clergy" who visits insurance company office with the demand. For props, it suggest using "spokespeople who can wear clerical uniforms."
It directs the protesters to "escalate by increasing the involvement of congregations to take small actions; hosting more vigils that invite the insurance companies to repent."
Obama and his buds haven't said anything about all this mixing of religion and government, but it has been heard that Thomas Jefferson reportedly growled, "I wish I never wrote that damned letter."
Now, if Jefferson had stated "a wall of separation" between foreign funded political groups and unions and government, A lot of citizens would get solidly behind that idea.
Unfortunately, Obama ain't Jefferson.
Steven Chu: Americans Are Like ‘Teenage Kids’ When It Comes to Energy
“The American public…just like your teenage kids, aren’t acting in a way that they should act,” Dr. Chu said. “The American public has to really understand in their core how important this issue is.” (In that case, the Energy Department has a few renegade teens of its own.)
The administration aims to teach them—literally. The Environmental Protection Agency is focusing on real children. Partnering with the Parent Teacher Organization, the agency earlier this month launched a cross-country tour of 6,000 schools to teach students about climate change and energy efficiency.
I'd love to see a break down on how many administration people and its supporters stand to become "Green Barons" when this crap is finally in place for them.
The hypocrites don't want to talk about money, they just want to rake it in. Just like aL Baby Boom Boom Gore does in his "green" Neverland.
When will Obama and his nitwits get it that we don't want their help or their advice? We just want them to go away and to do so as soon as possible.

"Betrayal! The U.S. sold us to Russia and stabbed us in the back."
Russia has a long history of betrayal and atrocities, especially against Poles, and now Poland feels, rightfully so, that the Obama Administration has sold them to Russia.
"Katyn, Russia, April 1943. The Germans discovered here the bodies of 4,500 Polish officers buried in mass graves. A Red Cross commission concluded that they had been killed by Soviet troops in the spring of 1940, when around 25,000 people disappeared. Katyn came to be a symbol of mass murder and official lies. Until 1989 the Communist government in Poland and Communists throughout the world attributed the massacre to the Germans."
Polish land seized by the Soviets at the end of WWII is shaded gray to the right.
That Obama has done this is reprehensible. That he did it on the 70th anniversary of the Soviet invasion (coordinated with Nazi Germany) of Poland is sadistic or shows how incredible incompetent the Obama Administration is.

Georgia forced to accept a Russian occupation
Obama has proven himself to be a pretty dim bulb, but this type of betrayal is beyond my imagination, especially given the history of Russia, its Soviet horrors and Putin. President G. W. Bush said he had looked in Putin's eyes and saw that he could be trusted. Fortunately, Bush came to his senses and moved to protect Poland and the Czech Republic from not only Iran and North Korea, but also Russia.
Now, Obama has screwed the nuclear pooch concerning North Korea and Iran and has knuckled under to the real power in Russia, Putin.
President Lech Walesa and President Ronald Reagan both are weeping at not only this betrayal, but also the sheer incompetence of the current administration. Until it is replaced, America will continue to lose influence for the good and the respect of our allies.
What is there to trust now?

Boy, an ACORN doesn't fall far from the tree.
In a move which risks ridicule, the Church of England has turned to street culture in the hope of attracting new blood.
A radio advert will appeal to the lapsed faithful to 'stop, turn around, walk back' to church on Sunday.
The spoken message, voiced by a series of actors, is described by the Church as 'a rap-style poem'.
The ad is the latest in a 15-year campaign by the C of E to use advertising to boost church attendances and attract the attention of those, in particular the young, who have no interest in Christianity.
Past efforts have met with mixed success. One mid-1990s slogan that declared Christmas to be a 'bad hair day' won universal mockery.
The C of E's usual Sunday attendance figures dropped below the one million figure at the turn of the millennium and have fallen at the most recent count to 871,000.
The new advert, produced by a Christian agency based in Bradford, aims to assure its young target audience that they do not need to dress up to go to church.
In defiance of the idea of Sunday best, the 40-second routine, which is not set to a drum beat, suggests that congregations where people make an effort to look smart could lack sincerity.
The grammar also does little credit to the C of E's efforts in the thousands of secondary and primary schools it helps run.
The poem won endorsement from Lambeth Palace, where the Archbishop of Canterbury's adviser on church growth, Canon Paul Bayes, said it was 'a great opportunity for churches to speak to their communities with the message of invitation.'
The advert will appear on commercial radio stations as part of a timeshare system in which parishes have been encouraged to club together with other local churches to buy airtime.
It is part of a 'Back to church Sunday' drive which hopes to bring in thousands of new worshippers on September 27. It is backed by churches in Scotland and Wales, Methodist and evangelical churches, although Roman Catholic leaders have not signed up.
Last year, its organisers say, some 37,000 lapsed members were drawn back to church on the campaign Sunday.

Prostitution, underage prostitution, illegal mortgages, tax evasion advice, direction on how to lie to local officials, banks, schools and the police and now a confession of murder?
All brought to you using your tax dollars compliments of Democrats in Congress.
and now California.

With a stroke of the pen Obama could dramatically cut costs by 30% - 40% with national malpractice reform and effecting portability of health insurance by individuals and the ability to purchase insurance whether that policy is in-state or out-of-state.
Lawyers hate this idea as do unions. Both want a federal program that protects and promotes their agenda or they want to fight it out state by state because they think they can win those fights. They are categorically against federal malpractice reform and with the current programs being discussed in Congress they know that, in enacted into law, health care will eventually become a federal government health care system. A one pay system that will unionize doctors, nurses and administrators much like federal, state and local government unions. That would be the future base for victory for Democrats in elections while the trial lawyers would continue to fund Democrats.
Health Care Reform would be a victory for Democrats and their allies now and in the future. It would not be a victory or reform for the people.
California enacted malpractice reform approximately 30 years ago and has saved consumers there about 40% of cost. Texas, in 2003, enacted malpractice reform and has seen costs drop by about 30% as well as the return of doctors who had fled the state and other doctors looking for an environment in which they could practice with economic security moving into the state. Texas also saw almost a half million previously uninsured people covered and approximately a half million new jobs created.
Malpractice reform, portability and the ability to purchase out of state health care would be real reform. More federal government control, benefiting lawyers, unions and government officials and bureaucrats, is not reform. It would be a disaster.
Oh, by the way, medical personal in government enities such as the VA don't need malpractice protection. They can't be sued.

When will ACORN be forced to return ALL federal, state and local monies they have received to commit these actions?
I hope they get a good lawyer. Say, like a return of Obama to represent them.
If Democrats are left in charge, ACORN won't have to return anything or worry about anything. In fact, the Democrats will not only continue to fund fraud, but will increase their support.

Congressional Democrats still want the group to be eligible for federal money.
Maybe they first step in cleaning up this mess is to remove bureaucrats and Democrats, but I repeat myself, that knowingly support ACORN.
After two videos that exposed ACORN workers recommending to a man (appearing to be a pimp) how to lie to the government, police, banks, social services, immigration and school officials, ACORN was told their tricks weren't needed anymore.

No assistance Ms. Williams? Watch the videos again or maybe for the first time.
After yelling "You lie" at President Obama during Obama's less than disingenuous descriptions of what health care reform would do, Joe Wilson received over $750,000 in donations in less than 48 hours. Many believe he would have received twice that amount if he hadn't apologized. Wilson's opponent is said to have raised $1,000,000. I will be interested to see where the donations came from and in what amounts.
Glenn Beck is being called "the real terrorist" and having false stories and outright lies passed around in the media and in blogs that liberals then say are just parodies, thus funny and fair.

Here is a memo from the Democratic leadership to newer members concerning the crowd size:
House Dem Leadership Memo On 9/12 Rally
Freshmen and Sophomores:
Some of you have asked about the 9-12 rally Fox News’ Glenn Beck, FreedomWorks and other conservative organizations are organizing for Saturday. As you may know, FreedomWorks held a Capitol Hill demonstration yesterday, that turned into an impromptu rally for embattled Rep. Joe Wilson. Now, based off of news reports and comments from leaders in the Tea Party movement, it looks like Saturday’s event is going to be a huge gathering, estimates ranging from hundreds of thousands to 2 million people. Below is what I have been able to find on crowd estimates. As I learn more, I will let you know.
• MEDIA MATTERS: “Beck announces he will anchor Fox News’ live coverage of “the biggest 9-12 tea party yet, on Capitol Hill”http://mediamatters.org/mmtv/200908130005
• NYTimes.com: “A demonstration against government spending and “socialized health care” planned for Sept. 12 in Washington could become “the largest gathering of fiscal conservatives ever,” organizers said on Thursday.”http://prescriptions.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/09/03/fiscal-conservatives-plan-largest-gathering-ever/#comment-13997
• GOPExiles.com: “The march, organized by Armey’s political group FreedomWorks, is scheduled for Sept. 12 and is already generating hundreds of thousands of responses, the Texas Republican tells Newsmax.TV. The group isn’t providing transportation, but that doesn’t seem to be a problem.”http://www.gopexiles.com/?p=3097
• 912dc.org, “The March on Washington – Update”“As one wise conservative sage, Morton Blackwell, always says, “You should underpromise and overachieve.” That is what we are trying to accomplish by not giving the media any crowd estimates that they can use against us. We want to surprise them and shock the nation by the massive turnout that we expect on 9-12. I can only ask you to trust our judgment in this, and promise you that we will have a huge turnout.”http://912dc.org/2009/08/the-march-on-washington-update/
Liberals should be worried about their over-reach socialist agenda. It is wrong for America and bad for citizens.

Obama did make a very fine emotional speech until he started talking about "what we came here to do." The federal government can not run health care. They can not run it efficiently. They can not offer quality. They can not run anything well. They are the government.
By definition, they screw things up. They have proved it every day they have been in business. They have shown it with every program they have been in charge of since the Republic began.
Screw Medicare. Screw Medicaid. The federal government would show a sand shortage three weeks after taking charge of deserts.
Everything Obama stated tonight was a lie or it is attached to a lie.

If you don't have an envelope you can print out a free address sticker to mail your old cell phones in today. You'll be doing a good thing. For free.
How hard is that?
(No, I am not being paid to put his up. Jerks.)

Robert Gates protests AP decision as 'appalling'Defense Secretary Robert Gates is objecting “in the strongest terms” to an Associated Press decision to transmit a photograph showing a mortally wounded 21-year-old Marine in his final moments of life, calling the decision “appalling” and a breach of “common decency.”
The AP reported that the Marine’s father had asked – in an interview and in a follow-up phone call — that the image, taken by an embedded photographer, not be published.
The AP reported in a story that it decided to make the image public anyway because it “conveys the grimness of war and the sacrifice of young men and women fighting it.”
The AP lost whatever moral compass they had a long time ago and continue in a downward spiral.

Zack has been back a week and he's still unavailable. That type of constituent care is somewhat like the proposed ObamasCare. He's already rationing.
How many other Van Jones are in this administration and in our Congress?
Let us start with the
Meanwhile, the ass that has dug himself too deep a hole looks to be heading back to his Marxist Leninist roots to continue his work of dividing the country into his vision of the future.
It appears that the truth has doubled back on Van Jones' double back on being a Truther. Gateway Pundit has it HERE.

An alliance of 100 prominent Americans and 40 family members of those killed on 9/11 today announced the release of the 911 Truth Statement, a call for immediate inquiry into evidence that suggests high-level government officials may have deliberately allowed the September 11th attacks to occur. The Statement supports an August 31st Zogby poll that found nearly 50% of New Yorkers believe the government had foreknowledge and "consciously failed to act," with 66% wanting a new 9/11 investigation.

A Truther Czar?... Obama's Green Czar Van Jones Believes Bush Government was Behind 9-11
Barack Obama's communist Green Czar Van Jones is a Truther. He believes the Bush Administration was behind 9-11 and signed the official 9-11 Truth Document demanding a further investigation.
UPDATE: Here's another tidbit from Photosynthesis-- Apparently, Van Jones believes hip-hop holds the key to social change:
The fact that an event like Constant Elevation happened is proof that money is starting to move in the right direction. As Van Jones of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights said, "This event makes it clear that the path of social change needs to go through youth culture, and therefore it needs to go through hip-hop. Once hip-hop becomes central to social change, the entire game will be changed."
Why should Obama vet his end run on the Constitution "czars" when the voters and the press chose not to vet him as a candidate?
The Democrats have not only lost the debate on their "health care reform", but they have lost control of their members. Zach Space now uses a sexual vulgarity to describe his constituents and tries to spin one event into a "town hall" to make it appear that he is addressing the needs of the voters in his district.
Zanesville - Congressman Zack Space may soon regret an offhand comment he made in a provocative statement on September 2nd concerning a local activist.
On Wednesday, Thornville resident David Daubenmire was on Fox News channel's "America's Newsroom" with Megyn Kelly. Daubenmire is a local football coach at Fairfield Christian Academy. He has been sleeping on the sidewalk outside Democrat Representative Zack Space's office in protest of the Congressman's refusal to hold a town hall meeting for his constituents in southeast Ohio.
In the interview with Daubenmire, Fox News' Megyn Kelly read the following statement which came from Rep. Zack Space's office
Coach doesn't comprehend reality. The rain or fatigue must be getting to Mr. Daubenmire. There was a town hall meeting yesterday five blocks from where he is setting up camp featuring Secretary of Energy Tom Vilsack, Senator Brown and Congressman Space. It had been publicized for days by all offices. If it was "secretive," then more than 300 people found out the secret, including a number of Mr. Daubenmire's teabagger colleagues who were there and talked to the Congressman.
"Local small business owner Darin Hill took offense to Space's remarks.
"The unmitigated gall of Mr. Space's comments is shameful," says Darin Hill, owner of Hillsway Ag and Turf in Gratiot, Ohio. "Those words are disrespectful, condescending, and more than that, they're dishonest. Mr. Space is completely misrepresenting the event. The meeting with Secretary Vilsack was not billed as a town hall. It was explicitly addressing the concerns of farmers and our district's agricultural industry. If Representative Space hosted a true town hall, a lot more than 300 people would have shown up.
"Although Space's office claims that they announced the event beforehand, the event wasn't promoted as a town hall nor was it widely known that the Congressman would be in attendance at the event. But Mr. Hill is more concerned about the insult.
"I don't feel comfortable with my Congressman using sexually perverse terms like teabagging. He shouldn't be talking that way to constituents," continues Hill. "If Zack Space needs a history lesson on taxation without representation and the Boston Tea Party, I'd be happy to enlighten him. There's nothing perverse about an American citizen questioning his government.
"Darin Hill has no affiliation with Daubenmire or Fairfield Christian Academy, but he plans to be at Daubenmire's rally on the Zanesville courthouse steps on Thursday at 6 PM.
How low can Zach go? Obviously not low enough to see the coal his district depends on for their livelihood when he voted for Cap and Trade which is a purposeful stab in the backs of his constituents.
Zach is not a Blue Dog, he's a green dog being led around on a leash by his masters in Washington, DC. How many more times will they tell him to bite the hands of his voters?

Having made the run from Cape Cod to a sister's house in New Hampshire, I can attest that the liquor store parking lots, just across the border in NH, are filled with Massachusetts cars. Taxachusetts people don't like to pay the tax. Not even the jerks that vote for it.
Pol nabbed on New Hampshire booze run
A Westport lawmaker who voted to hike the state sales and alcohol taxes was spotted brazenly piling booze in his car - adorned with his State House license plate - in the parking lot of a tax-free New Hampshire liquor store, the Herald has learned.
Michael J. Rodrigues’ blue Ford Crown Victoria, emblazoned with his “House 29” Massachusetts license plate, was parked outside a Granite State liquor store on Interstate-95 South over the weekend, according to a witness who provided pictures to the Herald.
The witness, who requested anonymity, claimed he approached Rodrigues, noted his State House plate, and asked if he was on personal or official business. Rodrigues, who was loading booze into his car, snapped “mind your own business,” the witness said.
Unfortunately, it is our business when public officials vote one way and do another.
Government is fat, bloated and intruding in every corner of our life to feed itself and they have the audacity to preen that it is for our own good. Food, gas, sins, soap, trash, construction, licenses, heat, medicine, water, sewage, new cars, old cars, pets, education, business, charity, free speech and every other thing you need or want is being regulated, taxed and fee'd to death.
Below is a quick search, but feel free to add what you find. Next time something, anything costs more, figure out why.
