and the media is assisting him every step of the way by spending their time counting the moments that Obama and Michelle hold hands and telling us just how cute that damned dog is. All of that will be irrelevant if their reader's skin falls off when they try to hold hands or the dog turns ugly because of radiation burns, but hey, who cares, they have the love of a stalker for Obama and his stupid ideas and that has gone way beyond creepy. It has become an illness.
Obama Breaks With Gates, Cancels Nuke Program
"My colleagues just stared at that line," says Joe Cirincione, a longtime nonproliferation expert and president of the Ploughshares Fund. "They had never seen anything like that." Killing the program, he said, was "the first programmatic impact of the new [zero nukes] policy. People have said they want to see more than words, this is the very first action."
Gates has said:
"[t]o be blunt, there is absolutely no way we can maintain a credible deterrent and reduce the number of weapons in our stockpile without resorting to testing our stockpile or pursuing a modernization program."
This is a very dangerous and naive game of playing president that Obama is doing. It may work great in educational and pseudo-intellectual circles, but as we witnessed with two world wars the world isn't made safe by chatting up the world's megalomaniacs and other bad people.
