If the MSM can redefine events, realities and words at will to fit their pitiful little world I believe we must define what they are doing, thus I am calling their campaign to defeat global freedom the war on the War On Terror or WOTWOT.

I've discussed what I think will transpire once the opponents of defeating radical Islam (in its many forms) believe they have gained the upper hand here, here, here, here, here and started here.

Now, the incoming NYT's editorial page editor, Andrew Rosenthal, has this to say:

If he sticks to these fictions about achieving victory and all the other things
that he keep talking about then we may have to change. It really does depend, I
mean, we're going to withdraw our troops from Iraq and we're going to do that
without initiating a fully functioning government that serves as a beacon of
hope for the Middle east. I mean its interesting and very instructive to go back
and look at last year's strategy for success in Iraq strategy included:
defeating terrorists, establishing full democracy in Iraq, an independent army,
and an Iraq that is part of the international economic system, I don't know what
that means. Are they supposed to join the IMF or the WTO I don' t know what the
heck that means. And this kind of burgeoning democracy throughout the Middle
East well none of that 's going to happen, I think that's pretty clear - at
least not in George Bush's timeframe.

Discontent over the war was viewed as a key reason why Bush's Republican Party
lost control of Congress in November 7 congressional elections.

Surprise! Blue staters believe the War on Terror is going badly and they disapprove of President Bush's handling of it, but by (their) god they support the troops, just not what they're doing. They also believe in greater number that Bush lied, but not Kerry, Kennedy, Pelosi, et al and that the World Trade Center murders were an inside job.

They would also believe that Palestine, TX is pronounced Pa-lees-tin because fly-over people are to dumb to pronounce the name of their favorite group of terrorists correctly.

TORONTO, Dec 13 (Reuters Life!) - Never mind how careful you are behind the wheel or how long you've been driving, the signs of the zodiac may be bigger factors behind your ability to avoid car crashes -- or why you have too many.

According to a study by InsuranceHotline.com, a Web site that quotes
drivers on insurance rates, astrological signs are a significant factor in
predicting car accidents.

The study, which looked at 100,000 North American drivers' records from the past six years, puts Libras (born September 23-October
22) followed by Aquarians (January 20-February 18) as the worst offenders for tickets and accidents

Leos (July 23-August 22) and then Geminis (May 21-June 20) were found to be the best overall.

"I was absolutely shocked by the results," said Lee Romanov, president of Toronto-based InsuranceHotline.com, who also wrote the book "Car Carma" which touches on the correlation between astrological signs and driving ability while doing the study.

Romanov originally wanted to have some fun by examining astrological signs as a possible cause for the variance between insurance companies quoting high and low rates but didn't expect to find anything interesting.

"Now, changing postal codes is far less significant to me than drivers of certain astrological signs," she told Reuters on Wednesday.

Even age, another variable for determining insurance rates, is less of a consideration to Romanov. The cutoff line for being considered a higher risk driver is 24 years of age; 25-year-olds are considered not-high risk.
"I'd rather get into a car with a 24-year-old Leo than a 25-year-old Aries," Romanov said.

Leos, described along with the study results on insuranceHotline.com/a10.html, are "generous, and comfortable in
sharing the roadway."

Aries, on the other hand, "have a 'me first' childlike nature that drives Aries into trouble."

"I wasn't believing in it before," said Romanov, "but I would think twice before getting into a car with an Aries."

I read it all and we're in big trouble, because Romanov wouldn't get in a car with my wife either. Yeah, well my family statistically doesn't have an acute lead problem Romanov.

Immigration raid linked to ID theft, Chertoff says

More than 1,200 people were arrested for alleged immigration violations in
Tuesday's six-state raid on meat processing plants and about 65 of them face
criminal charges, including identity theft, Homeland Security Secretary Michael
Chertoff said today.

Federal officials said Operation Wagon Train netted 1,282 individuals,
the largest such crackdown on illegal immigration at a single worksite.

"This is not only a case about illegal immigration, which is bad
enough," Chertoff said at a news conference in Washington. "It's a case about
identity theft and violation of the privacy rights and the economic rights of
innocent Americans."

He said the cases involved the identify theft of hundreds of
people.

"These individuals suffered very real consequences in their lives," he
said. "These are not victimless crimes."

Others criticized the effect on families or called the raids
heavy-handed.

"They are taking mothers and fathers and we're really concerned about
the children," said the Rev. Clarence Sandoval of St. Thomas Aquinas Roman
Catholic Church in Logan, Utah. "I'm getting calls from mothers saying they
don't know where their husband was taken," he said.

flyer titled “The Facts Are Out, NJ Trooper Lied” with five "proofs" that Assata
Shakur is innocent:

We know that many Black people that fought for better conditions in the
70’s were framed. We consider Assata Shakur to be one of the people who were wrongfully and purposefully framed for her activities. And we consider her a hero and role model for standing up for our people and putting her life on the line. We commend City College for asserting our right to have this room and use it to serve the community in Assata and Guillermo’s name.

On May 2, 1973 New Jersey State Troopers James Harper and Werner Foerster were patrolling the New Jersey Turnpike in the area of East Brunswick. They stopped a car with three occupants.

The Troopers were questioning the occupants when the driver and female passenger suddenly came up with semi-automatic pistols and opened fire. Trooper Foerster was struck twice in the chest, and Trooper Harper was hit in the shoulder. The female then proceeded to take the service weapon from the injured Trooper Foerster’s. She pointed it at the wounded Trooper and shot him twice in the head, execution style. The thirty-four-year-old trooper with just three years on the road died soon after. He left a wife and family behind. Fortunately, Trooper Harper survived.The three were apprehended a short time later.

In 1977 the female shooter was convicted and sentenced to life plus 26 to 33 years in prison. She was incarcerated in the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women in Hunterdon County. This facility is more commonly known today as Clinton.
On November 2, 1979 in the daylight hours this convicted murderer was serving her time in Clinton when she was taken from her cell to the visitor’s area to meet with four people who had come to see her. It was a setup. The four visitors took a Corrections Officer hostage. They then took a prison driver hostage. Using the hostages, the visitors helped her escape. She eluded capture for several years until 1986 when she made her way to Cuba. There she was granted political asylum. She has been there ever since.

Today, this woman goes by the name Assata Shakur. We know her as
Joanne Chesimard.

It’s been seventeen years now. Photos coming out of Cuba
show Chesimard to be a smiling, happy, fit, and seemingly well-rested tourist on
an extended vacation. Not a care in the world. In fact, she’s even written five
books which are carried by major American booksellers such as Amazon.com,
Borders, and Barnes and Noble.

The good folks over at the NY Times even found their way to review her book which most definitely boosted sales. "A deftly written book... a spellbinding tale." -New York Times Book Review

On counter-culture websites she is celebrated as a revolutionary. Being the aunt of
deceased rapper Tupac Shakur has only furthered her status.

Seventeen years. For seventeen years this excrement has been living on an Island in the Caribbean. Granted, Cuba might not be the first choice for retirement, but
chances are with her American fugitive status she has not been bothered too much
by the Communist Government.

Several attempts have been made to diplomatically bring Joanne Chesimard back. Some of these were stagnated by our own government.

In 1998 the US House of Representatives passed a unanimous resolution urging Castro to return Chesimard to the United States. When the vote went to the floor it was worded using the name Joanne Chesimard, not Assata Shakur. After the vote, Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D) from California realized that they were one and the same. She immediately wrote a letter to Fidel Castro explaining that she was purposely duped by Republicans. She stated that had she realized that Joanne Chesimard and Assata Shakur were one and the same, she would have voted against the resolution citing her belief that Chesimard was “persecuted as a result of her political beliefs and political affiliations.” “I support the right of all nations to grant political asylum to individuals fleeing political persecution.” Excuse my
French, but what a piece of shit.

Talk about sending mixed messages. It’s not certain which is scarier; the fact that a United States Congresswoman would be opposed to the extradition of someone who murdered one police officer and wounded another, or the fact that a United States Congresswoman casts her very powerful vote on issues when she is completely unaware of the facts. With this type of contradiction coming from our own government, it is no surprise that Chesimard still basks in the sun.

Chesimard will be fifty-six years old this July. It has been twenty-four years since she escaped to freedom and seventeen years since she took up new residence in Cuba. There is no investigation left to be done. She has already been convicted and
sentenced.

In 2000, we went through the Elian Gonzalez fiasco. Our government
followed the law in deciding to return him to Cuba. We respect their law while
they don’t respect ours. Did our Government even try to set up a backroom deal
to have Chesimard returned? Probably not. What about our Governor, two Senators, and thirteen House Representatives? Is having Chesimard returned on the plate of
any of our elected officials?

This is not just a lesson in history. Joanne Chesimard murdered a police officer. She shot and seriously wounded another. Imagine what the scene must have looked like to responding backup officers. Imagine the blood, the cries of pain, the sight of Troopers in uniform crying, the knock at the doors, the families completely losing it upon receiving the news, the chaos at the hospital, the pronouncement, the task of sitting down with the children, and later the funeral.

Joanne Chesimard needs to pay for her crimes. She needs to be brought to justice. As mentioned earlier, some attempts were made several years back, but nothing seems to be going on now. Pressure must be applied to our representatives to re-visit this issue and put it back on the front page. Our Government can work miracles when they want to. We have to make them want to. Joanne Chesimard has been free for twenty-four years. She murdered a police officer! She murdered a police officer! She murdered a police officer!

If the Government won't take action, then every local in this state should contribute monies to fund a trip to Cuba by family members and Troopers to personally meet with Fidel Castro and plead for her extradition.

We ask that everyone reading this take the time and drop him a note expressing your outrage and your insistence that action be taken to bring Joanne Chesimard to justice. Remember too that this tragedy occurred long before Governor McGreevey was in office. His email page is a bit lengthy, but well worth the time. Recount confirms: GOP Rep. Pryce wins reelection

confirming Republican Rep. Deborah Pryce had won.Pryce ended Election Night

Jeanne Kirkpatrick - Reflection

I didn't know Amb. Kirkpatrick. We were not friends. I was privileged to be around her, see her speak, publicly and privately, and I studied her in small work groups. I was very privileged.

Others will recount her accomplishments, the mountains she climbed and the mountains she just moved out of her way. That this woman was a friend of freedom is an understatement. To me, at least, she personified the best of the United States of America. That she rose in a time of giants makes her that much more.

Most young men's journey to the halls of power in DC are accompanied by hopes of being of some importance. Once there, mine were accompanied more so by a hope of not being a fool.

In a small planning meeting, with 5 other people and Mrs. Kirkpatrick, I found myself off to the side with strict instructions to not be seen nor heard, but to observe and take notes. Mrs. Kirkpatrick quietly took charge of the meeting when it appeared to lag, showing a sense of decorum that belied her impatience. The group's planning soon searched out new ideas and avenues of possibility far beyond the original intent giving birth to an ideal resolution to the problem.

There was a sense of relief in the group as people sat back to gather their thoughts and Mrs Kirkpatrick looked at my employer and said something like "We're a bunch of curmudgeons here, let's ask the future" and looked at me. I answered as best as I could hoping not to be foolish and lose my job, but I did more than appear just foolish, I confirmed my status as group idiot. Red faced, I knew I was headed back to Ohio.

Mrs. Kirkpatrick smiled that smile and chuckled and saved my ass. Residents of a southern Somalia town who do not pray five times a day will
be beheaded, an Islamic courts official said Wednesday, adding the edict will be
implemented in three days.

Public places such as shops and tea houses in Bulo Burto, about 124
miles northeast of the capital, Mogadishu, should be closed during prayer time
and no one should be on the streets, said Sheik Hussein Barre Rage, the chairman
of the town's Islamic court.

Those who do not follow this edict "will definitely be beheaded
according to Islamic law," Rage told The Associated Press by phone. "As Muslims,
we should practice Islam fully, not in part, and that is what our religion
enjoins us to do."

He said that the courts are announcing the edict over loudspeakers in
the town.
The decision is not binding on courts in other towns.

Somalia's Islamic courts have made varying interpretations of Quranic
law, some applying a more strict and radical version of Islamic law than
others.

As a result of such disparate variations, residents in the capital of
Mogadishu complained, forcing the Council of Islamic Courts officials in October
to set up an appeals court with better-educated judges.

The Council of Islamic Courts have swept through most of southern
Somalia since taking over Mogadishu in June.

Their sometimes strict and often severe interpretation of Islam has
raised the specter of Afghanistan's ousted Taliban regime, and contrasts with
the moderate Islam that has dominated Somali culture for centuries.

Some of the courts have introduced public executions, floggings of
convicts, bans on women swimming at Mogadishu's public beaches, and the sale and
chewing of khat, a leafy stimulant consumed across the Horn of Africa and in the
Middle East.

Many Arabs on Thursday interpreted an American advisory panel's bleak
assessment of President Bush's Iraq policies as proof of Washington's failure in
the Middle East.

But others worried about the consequences if the U.S. follows the Iraq
Study Group's suggestions, warning that the report could fuel insurgents and
others vying to fill Iraq's security vacuum.

"This report is a recognition of the limitation of American power,"
said Abdel Moneim Said, head of Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic studies in Cairo. "In the short term, America will highly suffer the loss of
its reputation and credibility in the region."

The U.S. has freed tens of millions in the middle east and people within our country hiss impeachment. The U.S. belittled despots who murder at will, rape their own daughters and impoverish their own people and people with in our own country snidely call for our President to be charged with war crimes.

Just as they ignored the inconvienient truth of the killing fields of Cambodia, they will now try to ignore the killing fields around the globe. And they will blame others for their shortcomings.

It has started. Baker & Hamilton, et al are reported to recommend that almost all of our troops should be out of Iraq by the first quarter of 2008.

The press here in the United States will pound all their drums throughout the jungle to make it happen.

London to Paris to Rome to Peking with stops in Moscow, North Korea and points in between will bray that the "once" vaunted super power, the United States of America, just isn't up to it anymore. That the "once" great U. S. of A. has lost "it" as well as its way.

Our newly elected leaders in Washington will wring their hands and cry over their love of America, its troops and all that is good in the world. Then they'll investigate, make more statements and chip away at Bush and the war all in hopes of winning the White House and keep both Houses in 2008.

World "leaders" will, in their best snippy tones, sadly, proudly or arrogantly tell all who might listen that if only that cowboy and America had not ignorantly gone it alone, well, maybe things would have turned out differently.

Terrorists every where will be more emboldened, attacking more civilians and killing more troops with their cowardly attacks. Our troop's moral will begin to bend and sink. The press and world "leaders" will blame Bush and the Neo Cons for both. America's haters, both domestic and foreign, will grow stronger.

If they succeed, we will leave Iraq by 2008.

Iraq will be torn apart. The leaders and people of Iraq who trusted us will see their hopes and dreams die and they will hate us for it. At least those still alive.

The Arab and Muslim world will explode. Moderates will be hunted down and murdered. Extremists and their terrorist squads will hunt worldwide at will.

The free world will, at the very least, be shaken to its core.

All because Baker & Hamilton, et al, in their arrogance, thought they were still in the 1960's and 70's. As does the press. They failed America then and they are doing so now, but then only millions died when America ran away.

yesterday that he plans to marry Republican fundraiser Kim Kahlert next
year.

if Ohio law permits it. Strickland, an ordained Methodist minister and Democrat,
takes office Jan. 8.

Redfern, 42, and Kahlert, 31, met at a political event in March in
Columbus.

"Kim just needs a little direction politically, and I'm providing it,"
joked Redfern, of Catawba Island in northern Ohio.

Franklin County elections records show Kahlert declared herself a
Republican in the May primary. But she said she may be more liberal than Redfern
in some of her views and considers herself an independent.

be," she said.

Ingredients
• 2 pounds alligator meat
• 2 teaspoons paprika
• 1 cup white vinegar
• 1 cup chopped red onions (large pieces)
• 1/2 cup vegetable oil
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 2 teaspoons minced garlic

Preparation
Cut meat into bite-sized pieces and sprinkle with paprika.
Coat skillet with cooking spray and cook meat on medium for 6 to 7 minutes.
Remove meat from skillet and let cool.
When meat is cool combine with vinegar, onions, oil and garlic.

Jim Webb is everyone's crazy uncle

When I moved to Virginia in 1984 I was returning to the home of my ancestors. My ancestors were honest hardworking people who lived in places ranging from Jamestown to Goochland county. My great x 3 grandfather built outside of Cartersville, Virginia in 1750 and lived their until carpetbaggers tried to take their home and land. My great-great grandfather hoodwinked them with land swaps, was able to sneak his saw mill out under the cover of darkness and moved the family to lands granted other family members by Lord Fairfax in Ohio. They had lived in Virginia for over 220 years.

In 1984, Ronald Reagan invited us then still young people to be part of the Reagan Revolution and I answered the call. I worked on Capitol Hill and lived in Dumfries just south of the Occoquan. I loved Virginia. It felt like home.

James Webb seemed quite the dashing man as he rose through the Reagan administration. I read his books, read and saw him on the Hill and Webb appeared brash and good for what ailed the military in a post Carter world.

The Jim Webb I saw on the campaign trail for one of the Virginia senate seats this last election was a caricature of the James Webb I saw during the Reagan years. Reagan, supposedly one of Webb's favorite Presidents, would be ashamed to be seen with Webb today. The Gipper believed Teddy and spoke quietly while carrying a big stick. Webb talks loudly and totes a small mindedness.

"How's your boy?" Bush asked, referring to Webb's son, a Marine serving in
Iraq.

"I'd like to get them out of Iraq, Mr. President," Webb responded,
echoing a campaign theme.

"That's not what I asked you," Bush said. "How's your boy?"

"That's between me and my boy, Mr. President," Webb said coldly, ending
the conversation on the State Floor of the East Wing of the White House.

Jimmy Webb hasn't even been sworn in yet and has already become an embarassment.

Okay, Matt Lauer and other media scholars have made the call for their own reasons that Iraq is officially doomed by civil war. Thus, they just must ask the question about how fast does the United States get out.

They have their own agenda.

They are either morons or against a free and democratic Iraq. Which is worse?

Sunni, Shia, Kurd and the Iraqi government. These players have agendas of their own and those agendas do not seem to even agree about what they are fighting about.

Could Iraq be the first civil war ever without battles, generals, explicit war
aims, the use of partisan public rhetoric by civilian leaders, mass public
participation and targets of a predominantly military nature? Even if Iraq today
possessed these characteristics, it would still lack something even more
important: the struggle for authority.

The Kurds are looking on not wanting any part. The Shias, Shites and the Iraqi government do agree on the issue of not screwing with the Kurds. Thank God for their innate sense of surviving humiliation that Hamas, Hezballah and their buddies lack. The Kurds could form their own government and country if they choose to, even against President Bush and Turkey. Probably Iran too.

The Sunnis, both secular Baathists and the zealot Wahhabists, have created much of the murder and hatred as they have since their born in hell alliance wedded them. They take and hold no ground. They make no organized, let alone eloquent, plea for national unity nor present consistent reason for their effort. They are thugs. They are not a force that would drive the nation to their side mentally, loyally and politically. They are terrorists.

They Shias are a fractured group within which the two sides have different goals. Muqtada al-Sadr and his followers and their allies formed against Hussein while he still sat in power. The "redheaded" step child of this union are the Badr group and allies and they are sock puppets for Iran where many trained and who they have allegiance to. Sadr is nationalistic and Badr is pan-Iranian. Together, they couldn't organize a decent (dysfunctional) family picnic let alone a national government.

The Iraqi national Government is neither. It is fully infiltrated by both Sunni and Shia and at different levels of government affairs they undermine the dream of national unity.

Iran is the puppet master in Iraq. Iran is playing all ends against the middle for their own gain. It is bad enough that Iran has a free Afghanistan to the east, they cannot afford a free and independent Iraq to the west. This is an affront to Iran as a power and a threat to their goal of Iran becoming the regional leader to destroy Israel. If they can achieve this destruction, Iran believes the rest of the world is do-able.

Iran, with the help of Hamas, Hezballah and other middle eastern countries and groups, is working hard to take the United States out of the game so as not to be flanked east and west. Russia is encouraging Iran as China encourages North Korea to act up for their own goals. Russia wants a unstable world of non-American power and China, at the very least, wants Taiwan. That there would be a middle east of theocracies robbing individuals, groups and governments of their freedom and their lives for not sharing a theocratic vision is of no concern of theirs, but each urges Iran on for their own goals.

There is no civil war in Iraq, just time honored thievery, thuggery and murder with each noun having its own goal. It is time for those that wish to see freedom fail in Iraq to state what their real goals are.

and bear all over them the unmistakable blue marks of power drills and other
disfigurements.

Of such martyrs, we need each day only a handful. In 365 successive
days, we need fewer than one thousand.

This small band of brothers can defeat the most powerful army in human
history. The path, my brothers, is to come to dominate the minds of their
public, which they must suppose is supporting them, and in reality turns quite
quickly into our best ally.

This is not so huge a task, my brothers! In the long run of glorious

Republican Deborah Pryce was declared the winner this morning of a central Ohio
congressional race that remained too close to call until 20 days after the Nov.
7 election.

The four-member Franklin County Board of Elections certified final vote totals that gave Pryce the victory over Democrat Mary Jo Kilroy by 1,054 votes, a net loss of 2,482 from Pryce's unofficial election-night count. The tighter margin is within the half-percent required to trigger an automatic recount, director Matthew Damschroder said.

Perhaps no custom reveals our character as a Nation so clearly as our
celebration of Thanksgiving Day. Rooted deeply in our Judeo-Christian heritage,
the practice of offering thanksgiving underscores our unshakable belief in God
as the foundation of our Nation and our firm reliance upon Him from whom all
blessings flow. Both as individuals and as a people, we join with the Psalmist
in song and praise: "Give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good."One of the most
inspiring portrayals of American history is that of George Washington on his
knees in the snow at Valley Forge. That moving image personifies and testifies
to our Founders' dependence upon Divine Providence during the darkest hours of
our Revolutionary struggle. It was then - when our mettle as a Nation was tested
most severely - that the Sovereign and Judge of nations heard our plea and came
to our assistance in the form of aid from France. Thereupon General Washington
immediately called for a special day of thanksgiving among his troops.Eleven
years later, President Washington, at the request of the Congress, first
proclaimed November 26, 1789, as Thanksgiving Day. In his Thanksgiving Day
Proclamation, President Washington exhorted the people of the United States to
observe "a day of public thanksgiving and prayer" so that they might acknowledge
"with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God, especially by
affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for
their safety and happiness." Washington also reminded us that "it is the duty of
all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to
be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and
favor."Today let us take heart from the noble example of our first President.
Let us pause from our many activities to give thanks to almighty God for our
bountiful harvests and abundant freedoms. Let us call upon Him for continued
guidance and assistance in all our endeavors. And let us ever be mindful of the
faith and spiritual values that have made our Nation great and that alone can
keep us great. With joy and gratitude in our hearts, let us sing those stirring
stanzas:O beautiful for spacious skies,For amber waves of grain,For purple
mountain majestiesAbove the fruited plain!America! America!God shed His grace on
thee.Now, Therefore, I, Ronald Reagan, President of the United States of
America, in the spirit of George Washington and the Founders, do hereby proclaim
Thursday, November 27, 1986, as a National Day of Thanksgiving, and I call upon
every citizen of this great Nation to gather together in homes and places of
worship on that day of thanks to affirm by their prayers and their gratitude the
many blessings bestowed upon this land and its people.In Witness Where Of, I
have here unto set my hand this thirteenth day of October, in the year of our
Lord nineteen hundred and eighty-six, and of the Independence of the United
States of America the two hundred and eleventh.

Liberal Thanksgiving prayer

First, this fellow hopes Vice President Cheney dies. Then he makes all kind of malicious statements about Bush president's private lives. He's nearly finished with his prayer of Thanksgiving as he states as fact lies about Republicans in general.

I give thee thanks O Lord that Thy glorious sun is finally breaking through
the viscous, vomit-colored cloud-cover of Republican bigotry, repression,
fear-mongering, greed and graft. A blighted carapace of despair and
depression that has blotted out the clear blue sky from horizon to horizon
for six long years, O Lord, like a billion pairs of enormous morbidly obese
buttocks sitting on our heads.

This is a very sad "little" person.
