In an effort to line their own pocket AARP, supposedly a nonpartisan and non-profit organization, is going to endorse Obama Care. The only windfall bigger for AARP and its immense insurance concern, would be if Obama and Pelosi offered up a Stimulus II that included billions for travel discounts and trinkets for AARP's members.
AARP, Key Retirees' Lobby, To Endorse Democrats' Health Bill
Approximately half of the over 50 crowd in America belong to AARP. Supposedly, according to AARP, their membership is evenly divided among Democrats, Republicans and Independents, which sounds preposterous when looking at the senior vote history.
The Democrats have lobbied AARP hard, which means AARP got some hefty behind-door promises, in hopes of turning the tide in favor of the sinking ship known as health care reform.
I have never belonged to AARP and will not join in the future because the leadership of AARP has politicized the group to increase their profits and salaries while screwing its membership.
