Irani Rocket Man


The first photo is "the rocket" that soars above balloons and beneath space that the Irani's say they launched. Unfortunately, it is actually an American anti-ballistic missile being launched in the California desert in 2004.
The second photo is reportedly the actual rocket.

Consumer Confidence Gains in February

Personally I blame Bush. Not that Pelosi, Murtha, Reid and Schumer haven't done everything they promised kos they'd do. Nor the fact the mere presence of legislative genius on their part has lifted the spirit of each and every citizen in America.

As the Democrats bask in their election knowledge that America threw the Republicans out of office in a landslide of anti-war defeatism, Pelosi and Reid have beamed their pleasure to that 17% minion.

Otherwise, without that certainty, how could the Democrat(ic) leadership sink back into corruption so quickly?

It seems that some people are forgetting who is the Commander-in-Chief. More importantly, these people would abandon their troops when most needed. I wouldn't follow any of these non-leaders into battle.

One man, one vote and the two party system

"I don't vote party. I vote for the man/woman/candidate"

I have heard a variation of this so many times. What a crock of crap. As if these people even know the candidate outside of what they've been told by the candidate's campaign. Unlike the candidate, the party is known by its actions, platform and many candidates. A party is the better indicator of the future decisions made by candidates.

Growing up I heard exciting news about Buckley's Conservative party of New York and Libertarians forming their own party and I agreed with them on so many issues. The Republican Party seemed to have become a shell of what it had been and I was ready to join the revolution.

I hated the Rockefeller Republicans, I hated that we weren't being allowed to win in Vietnam and it was apparent that America was going to be socialist soon. I was perfect fodder for the divide and lose party. Young, passionate and hard working, but I pulled back from the brink.

I had heard from family about the perils of multi-party governments and how America didn't need to be like Italy and its revolving door governments of ever changing coalitions. I was told of the ensuing chaos of one newly formed government simply rescinding the policies of the previous newly formed government. I was swayed intellectually, but not in my heart which was guided by passion.

What changed my mind was pure political power.

The two party system of political power is what has made America great. Some call it black or white policy making because they want nuance. Others call the two party system nothing but back room power-brokering because they're not in the back room.

The two party system is the backbone of political clarity in America. Statements claiming that there is no difference between the two parties are the statements of shallow people. There are vast differences.

Pure political power is the power to state this is what the majority of Americans want. Period. Pure political power is the power to chastise or take down the party leadership by party members when they shirk their duty.

Multi-party politics is weakness and vacillation. Multi-party politics is multi-power politics which cannot present a clear course for the country, only a trend, because there is no majority.

These are all true, but they are not what I mean by the pure political power.

What changed my mind is that the two party system of politics is the power of numbers. Diluted, it becomes less powerful in that visions are diluted, purpose is diluted, indeed progress is diluted. The sweep of history is shaped by great movements, good and bad, not the by little snipping of minor players and parties. Large numbers organized to a purpose bridge the bad and the mediocre to continually move forward.

President Ronald Reagan swelled the ranks of the party activists, especially the young, and brought down the wall, Russian Communism and brought vigor and wealth back to America. President Franklin Roosevelt turned a nation weak from poverty and depression into a force that made tyrants tremble. In both cases most people and politicians could argue tactics, but shared common goals, more with Roosevelt, less so with Reagan, but these two Presidents lead powerful coalitions within a two party system that changed America and the world.

Now, an Internet third party called Unity 08 is trying to make its ideas, which I think will weaken America, felt in the political marketplace through smooth logic and false sincerity. I also think the effort is being made to hurt the Republican/Conservative/Libertarian Party. What is their real intention?

Now imagine that America's centrist majority has a way to fight back
instead of simply griping that it's stuck with choices thrust upon it by 300,000
voters in Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina. Allow me to introduce Unity
'08 (www.unity08.com), a third-party movement that may actually work. I'm not talking about another Texas billionaire who says he can save us from our
two-party duopoly, but an entirely new form of political self-help. This time
voters would use the Internet to draft nominees for a virtual convention in
June, by which point Unity '08 will have gotten itself on the ballot in nearly
every state. Names like Bloomberg, Gore, Giuliani, Obama, and Romney will draw
support from vastly more voters than Clinton and McCain may have tallied in
America's low-turnout primaries. To be eligible for nomination, the only
condition these and other contenders must agree to is this: If they win, they
will name a running mate from the other political party
.



Meaning, I guess, that we would have a Presidential chaperon to temper bad behavior. This is nothing more than a "can't we all just get along" movement if taken at face value. Do these people really think we'd be better off if Roosevelt had a Hooverite as VP to temper his vision or a Carter to soften Reagan's stance on communism? What rubbish.

Unity '08 is one of the most electorally subversive ideas in years. The
brain behind it is Doug Bailey, a 73-year-old former Republican consultant, who
left the game in the late 1980s before founding The Hotline, an online
newsletter that has become the Beltway's political bible. Joined by former Jimmy
Carter advisors Gerald Rafshoon and Hamilton Jordan, Bailey launched Unity '08
to steer politics back to the underrepresented center.


The center being the "3/5's man" part of the electorate ruled by overbearing masters of the left and the right. Again, rubbish.

Mr. Bailey decries the "negativity" of campaigning today and the hyper partisan nature of the electorate.

Comments such as referring to stained blue dresses aren't exactly new.

Unity 08 wants to bring comity to the partisanship of politics, but ignores that the greatest partisanship face offs brought us our greatest triumphs such as Republicans facing down Democrats in the Civil Rights debates, the Republicans winning over the defeatist who said they wanted to split the nation to save the nation during the Civil War and the debates, both legislative and by the electorate, concerning the continued appeasement of Russia or the defeat of Russia.

Third parties? No. They weaken our Republic.

Unity 08 wants to strengthen the Left and help them gain more power. Unity 08 is specifically designed to weaken the Right and squash the vigor with which we experiment in this freedom lab called America.

I'll stick with the two party system.

Kowtow to radical Islam or else - MCB

It is easy to sneer at France, England and the rest of Europe for their radical "muslim" problem, but this is a warning shot across the bow of England and the rest of the world.

If England doesn't bend to the Muslim Council of Britains' (MCB) will, then it isn't MCB's fault when violence follows against the citizens of England. After all, MCB tried to "fix" the problem.

This is a set up for killing and it's coming to America soon. Bend over Liberals and maybe they'll kill you last.

DEMANDS for a ban on “un-Islamic” activities in schools will be set out by
the Muslim Council of Britain today.

Targets include playground games, swimming lessons, school plays, parents’ evenings and even vaccinations.

And the calls for all children to be taught in Taliban-style conditions will be
launched with the help of a senior Government education adviser.

Professor Tim Brighouse, chief adviser to London schools, was due to attend the event at the capital’s biggest mosque. His presence there was seen as “deeply worrying”, and a sign that the report was backed by the Government.

Tory MP Greg Hands said: “The MCB needs to realise it has to move closer to the rest of the community, not away from it. The presence of Tim Brighouse implies Government backing of this report. This is very worrying.”

Terry Sanderson of the National Secular Society said the report was a “recipe for disaster”. He added: “Schools with even just a handful of Muslim kids will find they have to follow these guidelines because there aren’t the staff to have one set of classes for Muslims and another for the rest. The MCB shouldn’t try to force its religious agenda on children who may not want it. The Government needs to send the MCB packing. Schools should be about teaching, not preaching.”

The report, Towards Greater Understanding – Meeting The Needs of Muslim Pupils In State Schools, says all schools should bring in effective bans for all pupils on “un-Islamic activities” like dance classes.

It also wants to limit certain activities during Ramadan. They include science lessons dealing with sex, parents’ evenings, exams and immunisation programmes.
The holy month – when eating and drinking is not allowed in daylight hours – should also see a ban on swimming lessons in case pupils swallow water in the pool. When swimming is allowed, boys should wear clothing covering their bodies “from the navel to the neck”, even during single-sex pool sessions, while girls must be covered up completely at all times, apart from the face and hands.

The MCB adds that schools should ensure contact sports, including football and basketball, “are always in single-gender groups”.

Even school trips are targeted in the report, which wants them all
to be made single-sex “to encourage greater participation from Muslim
pupils”.

It wants Arabic language classes for Muslim pupils, and says the
Koran should be recited in music classes. And all schools should ensure they
have prayer rooms with washing facilities attached, it says.

In art classes, Muslim children should not be allowed to draw people, as this is forbidden under some interpretations of Islamic law.

And while the MCB insists that all British children should learn about Islam, it wants Muslims to have the right to withdraw their children from RE lessons dealing with Christianity and other faiths.

Recent polling shows that maybe the public isn't buying all of their tripe, but how much is being accepted is witnessed by the blatant insertions of lies.

State Attorney General Marc Dann is free to drive whatever he wants

But for a man who campaigned on restoring ethical integrity to government, he
has to justify how he can drive that carbon-spewing, gasguzzling hog while the world is trying to mitigate a global climate catastrophe and our troops are dying for oil abroad.

Dann should show some leadership and set an example.

This submitter is a typical frequent LTE writer who always slips in this garbage. This time it is about our newly elected State Attorney General, but it could just as easily be about an article on salad dressing that he disagrees with because Lord knows that man is evil, but Republicans and George Bush are the most evil.

The garbage is their "inconvenient truths" that we are expending blood for oil so that oil can be used to further destroy the earth.

What if we are fighting for oil? I do not believe we are, but what if? Is it noble to fight for a substance that prevents millions from freezing each winter? Is it noble to feed, cloth and create jobs, all of which oil has come to support, so people can afford the heat and food to give life sustenance? Is it noble to topple dictators and tyrants that would use oil to blackmail the world for their own nefarious desires?

If the earth is warming, why is Antarica's ice packs getting thicker? Why is the ice in the Artic not thinning as the global warming nuts are stating? If the earth is warming, is it a weather trend as many who are just as expert are saying? Is it man? Is it cow flatulence? Is the cow flatulence being fueled by the cattle defoliating grasslands just to feed themselves and man's desire for meat? Or, is global warming a made up theory to give the chicken-littles of the world something to cry about and others to pontificate and make money?

The bottom line is there is no proof that "our troops are dying abroad for oil", nor is there proof that there is a "global climate catastrophe", but they are "truths" that are stated over and over in the media, the classroom and public pulpits, both secular and nonsecular, all over America and the world. This does not make them true. It just makes them annoying.

WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT TO TURN ON THE TV AND HEAR OUR U.S. PRESIDENT, DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN GIVE THE FOLLOWING SPEECH?

My Fellow Americans: As you all know, the defeat of the Iraq regime has been completed.

Since congress does not want to spend any more money on this war, our mission in Iraq is complete.

This morning I gave the order for a complete removal of all American forces from Iraq. This action will be complete within 30 days. It is now time to begin the reckoning.

Before me, I have two lists. One list contains the names of countries which have stood by our side during the Iraq conflict. This list is short. The United Kingdom , Spain , Bulgaria , Australia , and Poland are some of the countries listed there.

The other list contains everyone not on the first list. Most of the world's nation s are on that list. My press secretary will be distributing copies of both lists later this evening.

Let me start by saying that effective immediately, foreign aid to those nations on List 2 ceases immediately and indefinitely. The money saved during the first year alone will pretty much pay for the cost s of the Iraqi war.

The American people are no longer going to pour money into third world countries and watch those government leaders grow fat on corruption.

Need help with a famine? Wrestling with an epidemic? Call France.

In the future, together with Congress, I will work to redirect this money toward solving the vexing social problems we still have at home. On that note, a word to terrorist organizations. Screw with us and we will hunt you down and eliminate you and all your friends from the face of the earth.

Thirsting for a gutsy country to terrorize? Try France, or maybe China.

I am ordering the immediate severing of diplomatic relations with France, Germany, and Russia. Thanks for all your help, comrades. We are retiring from NATO as well. Bon chance, mesamis.

I have instructed the Mayor of New York City to begin towing the many UN diplomatic vehicles located in Manhattan with more than two unpaid par king tickets to sites where those vehicles will be stripped, shredded and crushed. It is time for America to focus on its own welfare and its own citizens. Some will accuse us of isolationism. I answer them by saying, "darn tootin."
Nearly a century of trying to help folks live a decent life around the world has only earned us the undying enmity of just about everyone on the planet. It is time to eliminate hunger in America. It is time to eliminate homelessness in America. It is time to eliminate World Cup Soccer from America. To the nations on List 1, a final thought. Thanks guys. We owe you and we won't forget. To the nations on List 2, a final thought: You might want to learn to speak Arabic. God bless America. Thank you and good night. If you can read this, thank a teacher. A World Without America

The reality of unreal reality.

I often hear or read statements representing a person's thoughts and have wondered how such a statement could have been made given the facts available. Was the statement made to pander to a group of like-minded people, was it made to engender shock or anger or was it just plain stupidity.

This may be an answer:

That is one of the incredibly wonderful aspects of psychological
denial. In the vacuous recesses of their own minds, those who deny reality have
managed to convince themselves that they are "reality-based". One might
justifiably ask them why they have an almost obsessive need to so aggressively
tout their connection to reality, like some sort of celebrity name-dropper
expecting to increase his stature in the eyes of the world: "Oh, btw, did you
know that I'm reality-based?"


Sadly for them, just because one repeatedly claims a close connection
to the Big R, does not prove anything one way or the other; nor does it absolve
the boaster of providing the requisite evidence to back up their claim. Feelings
won't do, I'm afraid; though it is often to those arguments of emotion that the
denier will ultimately resort when impeded in his quest to avoid
reality.


What part of "We want to kill you, we have killed many times and now we are getting better ways and weapons to do so, because we hate you, your culture, your religion and everything you represent. And we have God on our side." does the reality-based community not understand?

MSM & Democrats Continue To Lie About American Views About Iraq

The Democrats have these numbers in their own in-house polls which means they're lying or it means they're dumber than a box of rocks. I go for both.

    • By a 53 percent - 46 percent margin, respondents surveyed said that
      Democrats are going too far, too fast in pressing the President to withdraw
      troops from Iraq.

      By identical 57 percent - 41 percent margins, voters agreed with these
      statements: I support finishing the job in Iraq, that is, keeping the troops
      there until the Iraqi government can maintain control and provide security
      and the Iraqi war is a key part of the global war on terrorism.

      Also, by a 56 percent - 43 percent margin, voters agreed that even if
      they have concerns about his war policies, Americans should stand behind the
      President in Iraq because we are at war.

      While the survey shows voters believe (60 percent- 34 percent) that Iraq
      will never become a stable democracy, they still disagree that victory in
      Iraq (creating a young, but stable democracy and reducing the threat of
      terrorism at home) is no longer possible. Fifty-three percent say it's still
      possible, while 43 percent disagree.

      By a wide 74 percent - 25 percent margin, voters disagree with the notion
      that "I don't really care what happens in Iraq after the U.S. leaves, I just
      want the troops brought home."

      Public Opinion Strategies "scored the best win-loss record among the major
      polling and media firms in the 2004 election" and was named Pollster of the
      Year in 2002.

This is the moment one of the 21/7 suspects fled London dressed as a woman in a burka.

A jury was today shown CCTV footage of 26-year-old Yassin Omar covered from head to toe - with a handbag draped over his left arm.

At 6ft 2in, Omar stood out in the crowded street as he was filmed
walking along the pavement towards Golders Green Bus station. Commuters can be seen turning round to watch him as he passes.


It was 22 July, 2005, the day after he and five others are accused
of trying to cause carnage with rucksack bombs on London's transport system two weeks after the 7/7 attacks. A series of different cameras followed his
movements across a busy road and into the station to catch a National Express
coach to Birmingham at 6.21pm.


Today the trial judge at Woolwich crown court, Mr Justice Fulford,
asked Omar's barrister Peter Carter: "Is it accepted it is your client?' Mr
Carter replied: "Yes."

MSM & Democrats Lie About American Views About Iraq

Read these polls from 2006 and 2007 and try to match the numbers to the rhetoric of Pelosi, Murtha, Levin, et. al. and the MSM.
Those that would bleed support for our troops, guarantee the slaughter of now free Iraqis and Afghans and doom the Middle East to Islamofacism state that in November of 2006 America voted for an end to the war in Iraq as part of the greater War on Terror. They say America is tired and wants to show the love by bringing our troops home. The war is lost. It is another Vietnam. In short, the Democrats are saving America.
I call bullshit.
My wife and I hear Liberals that watch the evening news and read AP stories actually state that President George W. Bush is nuts because he hasn't heard the "people" nor can he win in Iraq.
President Bush does not live by polls as do wobbly kneed Copperhead Democrats. He leads through thick and thin toward a goal he believes to be right. He also has a better grasp of what America thinks.
Is Iraq like Vietnam? In terms of Democrats, yes, because they are using the same lies now that they used during, after and since the end of the Vietnam War. Just as they have used lies of defeat in other wars. The Democratic Party has become a party of natural born losers.
Oh, and we are winning in Iraq.

Coincidentally, this week in 1973 as one of the longest held captives, Johnson finally left Hanoi on February 12, 1973 and returned home to Texas on February 17, 1973.

Earlier this week on Monday, Johnson spent the anniversary of his release pleading with a House panel to accept his amendment to support and fully fund the troops for the 36 hours of debate on the troop escalation in Iraq.

Johnson's floor statement follows:

"You know, I flew 62 combat missions in the Korean War and 25 missions in the
Vietnam War before being shot down.

"I had the privilege of serving in the United States Air Force for 29 years, attending the prestigious National War College, and commanding two air bases, among other
things.

"I mention these stories because I view the debate on the floor not just as a U.S. Congressman elected to serve the good people of the Third District in Texas, but also through the lens of a life-long fighter pilot, student of war, a combat warrior, a leader of men, and a Prisoner of War.


"Ironically, this week marks the anniversary that I started a new life -
and my freedom from prison in Hanoi.

"I spent nearly seven years as a Prisoner of War in Vietnam, more than half of that time in solitary confinement. I flew out of Hanoi on February 12, 1973 with other long-held Prisoners of War - weighing just 140 pounds. And tomorrow - 34 years ago, I had my homecoming to Texas - a truly unspeakable blessing of
freedom.

"While in solitary confinement, my captors kept me in leg stocks, like the pilgrims... for 72 days...."As you can imagine, they had to carry me out of the stocks because I couldn't walk. The following day, they put me in leg irons... for 2 ½ years. That's when you have a tight metal cuff around each ankle - with a foot-long bar connecting the legs.


"I still have little feeling in my right arm and my right hand... and my body has
never been the same since my nearly 2,500 days of captivity.

"But I will never let my physical wounds hold me back.

"Instead, I try to see the silver lining. I say that because in some way ... I'm living a
dream...a hope I had for the future. "From April 16, 1966 to February 12, 1973 -
I prayed that I would return home to the loving embrace of my wife, Shirley, and
my three kids, Bob, Gini, and Beverly...

"And my fellow POWs and I clung to the hope of when - not if - we returned home.
"We would spend hours tapping on the adjoining cement walls about what we would do when we got home to America.

"We pledged to quit griping about the way the government was running the war in Vietnam and do something about it... We decided that we would run for office and try to make America a better place for all.

"So - little did I know back in my rat-infested 3 x 8 dark and filthy cell that 34 years after my departure from Hell on Earth... I would spend the anniversary of my release pleading for a House panel to back my measure to support and fully fund the troops in harm's way....and that just days later I would be on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives surrounded by distinguished veterans urging Congress to support our troops to the hilt.

"We POWs were still in Vietnam when Washington cut the funding for
Vietnam. I know what it does to morale and mission success. Words
can not fully describe the horrendous damage of the anti-American efforts
against the war back home to the guys on the ground.

"Our captors would blare nasty recordings over the loud speaker of Americans protesting back home...tales of Americans spitting on Vietnam veterans when they came home... and worse.

"We must never, ever let that happen again.

"The pain inflicted by your country's indifference is tenfold that inflicted by your ruthless captors.

"Our troops - and their families - want, need and deserve the full support of the country - and the Congress. Moms and dads watching the news need to know that the Congress will not leave their sons and daughters in harm's way without
support.


"Since the President announced his new plan for Iraq last month,
there has been steady progress. He changed the rules of engagement and
removed political protections.

"There are reports we wounded the number two of Al Qaeda and killed his deputy. Yes, Al Qaeda operates in Iraq. It's alleged that top radical jihadist Al-Sadr has fled Iraq - maybe to Iran. And Iraq's closed its borders with Iran and Syria. The
President changed course and offered a new plan ...we are making progress.
We must seize the opportunity to move forward, not stifle future success.

"Debating non-binding resolutions aimed at earning
political points only destroys morale, stymies success, and emboldens the
enemy.

"The grim reality is that this House measure is the first step to cutting funding of the troops...Just ask John Murtha about his 'slow-bleed' plan that hamstrings our troops in harm's way.

"Now it's time to stand up for my friends who did not make it home - and those who
fought and died in Iraq - so I can keep my promise that when we got home we
would quit griping about the war and do something positive about it...and we
must not allow this Congress to leave these troops like the Congress left
us.

"Today, let my body serve as a brutal reminder that we must not
repeat the mistakes of the past... instead learn from them.

"We must not cut funding for our troops. We must stick by them. We must
support them all the way...To our troops we must remain...always
faithful.

"God bless you and I salute you all. Thank you."

Victory Republicans VS Vietnam losers

I have been watching the news closely and I have not seen this on the MSM. Gee, I wonder why...

In the House debate, it was the calculation of Speaker Pelosi and her
leadership to keep the focus on the poll-proven unpopularity of the Iraq war and
the 21st century's most famous bogeyman, "George Bush." The GOP calculation was
to move the debate off Iraq and onto the broader war on terror.

Politics aside, the result on public view was a Democratic side that
looked small, mired in talk of American "failure," while a number of senior
Republicans--John Boehner, Pete Hoekstra, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, even Peter
King--produced almost stirring speeches on the substance and meaning of the
global threat.

Pete Hoekstra, recently chairman of the intelligence committee, gave
what must be the severest attack on radical Islam ever by a U.S. public figure.
Forget Pope Benedict; there was nary a genuflection to Muslim sensibilities in
Mr. Hoekstra's argument that the enemy is not some vague thing called terrorism:
"We are not at war with a tactic. We are at war with a group of militant
Islamists who hate us and who hate much of the rest of the world."

John Boehner reviewed each Islamic terrorist act directed at the U.S.
dating to the Iran hostage-taking of 1979. "Too bad it took so long to open our
eyes," he said, "but they are open now." Ileana Ros-Lehtinen quoted the famous
blueprint of al Qaeda No. 2 Ayman al-Zawahiri: "The first stage: expel the
Americans from Iraq." Rep. Charles Boustany said plausibly that other Arab
nations could never help with a political settlement if the region is engulfed
in violence after a U.S. exit.

So one may ask: Where were you guys when we needed you? Republicans
lost the election because most of them foxholed the past two years when the
going got tough. Instead of this Kissingerian geopolitical vision, they let one
guy carry the burden (they would reply that the "one guy" never asked for their
help).

Sens. Clinton and Obama should take a long look at Tuesday's videotape
of the Democratic House now shaping the party's foreign policy. Is this where
they'll want to be next year?

Even allowing for the politics of the Iraq-only script, it got a little
weird watching speaker after speaker (excepting freshman and former Navy admiral
Joe Sestak) pretend that the world and all its troubles can be telescoped down
to the Sunni Triangle. Rep. Tom Lantos, chairman of the foreign affairs
committee and nominally responsible for a larger view, simply wrote off Iraq's
government--"They have made minimal and cosmetic efforts"--and the entire Iraqi
people: "Iraqis themselves don't seem to want it."

The more difficult political problem, though, is still Vietnam. All the
while the Democratic members were withdrawing support for the U.S. commitment in
Iraq, they were at pains to inoculate themselves against their toxic experience
with Vietnam. So horrifying are the famous images in the 1970s of what
presumably were not evangelicals spitting on GIs coming home from Vietnam, that
House Democrats, with every second intake of breath, spoke of the troops and
their families ("their wonderful families"--Rep. Ike Skelton). History may view
this as progress.

Then there is the matter of the also-famous 1975 decision to withhold
appropriations for the war in Vietnam. Democrats insist they won't pull the plug
on the troops in Iraq, preferring what they call, with no apparent irony, a
"fully funded withdrawal." Still, several invoked the "power of the purse"
(Messrs. Conyers and McGovern), referring to next month's vote on an
appropriations supplemental. And Rep. Jim McDermott said he'd duplicate the 1971
Hatfield-McGovern amendment to bring the troops home.

Republicans who side with the Liberals on this should be ashamed of themselves. Especially so in that these republicans know what the Liberals are really up to. It ain't looking out for our troops nor our National security.

One sunny day in 2008, an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue, where he'd been sitting on a park bench. He spoke to the Marine standing guard and said, "I would like to go in and meet with President Hillary Clinton."

The Marine replied, "Sir, Mrs. Clinton is not President and doesn't reside here."

The old man said, "Okay," and walked away.

The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, "I would like to go in and meet with President Hillary Clinton."

The Marine again told the man, "Sir, as I said yesterday, Mrs. Clinton is not President and doesn't reside here." The man thanked him and again walked away.

The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same Marine, saying, "I would like to go in and meet with President Hillary Clinton."

The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, "Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mrs. Clinton. I've told you already several times that Mrs. Clinton is not the President and doesn't reside here. Don't you understand?"

The old man answered, "Oh, I understand you fine, I just love hearing your answer!"

The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, "See you tomorrow."

The left wing is doing their job well in that they are raising money to buy Congressional votes, the leftist leaders in Congress are serving as the salesmen for defeat while planning a marketing drive to hoodwink the voter into buying defeat as a success. The media, acting as their communications department, is pounding out a litany of lies and distortions that spell disaster for continuing the fight against evil.

Of course the left must act now, because a free Iraq is growing stronger each day. The Islamofascists are growing weaker each day. If the left does not get the US out of the fight it might become apparent that we are making strong gains to ensure the future of freedom by lessening evil. That would not fit their agenda.

House Democrats' New Strategy: Force Slow End to War

Top House Democrats, working in concert with anti-war groups, have decided
against using congressional power to force a quick end to U.S. involvement in
Iraq, and instead will pursue a slow-bleed strategy designed to gradually limit
the administration's options.


The left wants power. With power the left will enact their vision of a progressive government in the U.S. and force their un-real vision of (international)government on the people. In short, the left will bring what they believe to be the WalMart of governments to its knees.

To attain this power to enact their agenda, the left will allow now free Iraqis to be slaughtered.

To get the power to enact their agenda, the left is willing to render the sacrifice of our troop worthless.

For this political power the left will bet that America can withstand the shame, worldwide turmoil and the empowerment of the murderous Islamofascists. All because they hate George Bush.

Loyola Instructor: US Military = Terrorist Mercenaries

I was reading LGF about June Terpstra who seemed to be a very hateful person. With just a few minutes of looking I found that she is indeed a hateful person and a very dedicated one at that.

Just like Prof Teh Frisch, Dr. Terpstra is Adjunct Faculty and a full time hater, especially hateful of not just our soldiers, but of God, family, our Republican form of government, society in general and most especially she hates individuals who make a lot of money.

Dr. Terpstra wants to be perceived as dangerous, but to me she appears to be just another bitcher and whiner trying to recapture the excitement of her youth. That is sad. Just another "expert" who lives in a bubble and see nothing but discord in her "world", oh and a conspiracy of evil people who control the world from behind magic walls that prevent them from being seen except by sharp marbles like Dr. Terpstra.

Given her current band of merry haters I would think she has next to her Qua ran, the Communist Manifesto and aNarchiSts R uS, a copy of "THE PROTOCOLS of the Meetings of the LEARNED ELDERS OF ZION." Because it isn't the Joooos land, it belongs to Muslims and it always has, so we could all just get along if we only realize this.

Below I have cited a few of her "thoughts". How does a person such as this obtain a position to influence students at "good" universities such as Columbia and Loyola? Maybe they are in those positions specifically to pedal their influence.

Democrats afraid of Iraq debate

Practically everyone agrees that the Iraq War is the top issue on America’s
agenda. So, it’s unfortunate that Democrats running the House have decided
to block full, robust debates on the conflict.

Although much of the media blamed the Republican minority for blocking a
Senate debate last week, the Democratic leadership that refused to allow GOP
Senators a vote on their preferred war resolution holds a major share of the
responsibility for inaction.

The move caused Republicans to make use of long-established Senate rules to
filibuster and end debate — for now, but Democrats clearly acted out of concern
that the GOP measure would pass and muddy the waters for their preferred
resolution disapproving of President Bush’s troop escalation.

In the House, Democratic leaders have violated their oft-stated promise
— made when they were in the minority — to allow open rules and full debate on
legislation if they took control of the chamber. After first indicating last
week that Republicans could offer an alternative war resolution, Democrats
changed their minds and pushed through a closed rule allowing Republicans only
to offer a motion to recommit the Democratic measure to the International
Relations Committee.

House Democrats contend that closed rules were the norm when
Republicans held sway over the chamber, and that’s certainly true. But Democrats
loudly protested the custom and swore it would go away when they took power. But
no sooner was Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) sworn in as Speaker than the
Democrats commenced their “100 hour” opening legislative blitz under closed
rules. They’re doing it again on the Iraq issue.

I used to know a man whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War Two. They owned a number of large industries and estates. I asked him how many German people were true Nazis, and the answer he gave has stuck with me and guided my attitude toward fanaticism ever since.

"Very few people were true Nazis "he said," but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of the world had come. My family lost everything I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories."

We are told again and again by "experts" and "talking heads" that Islam is the religion of peace, and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace.

Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam. The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history.

It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honor kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. The hard quantifiable fact is that the "peaceful majority" is the "silent majority" and it is cowed and extraneous.

Communist Russia comprised Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority were irrelevant. China's huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people.

The average Japanese individual prior to World War 2 was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet. And, who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were "peace loving"?

History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points:

Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence. Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don't speak up, because like my friend from Germany, they will awake one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun.

Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late.

As for us who watch it all unfold; we must pay attention to the only group that counts; the fanatics who threaten our way of life.

Lastly, I wish to add: I sincerely think that anyone who rejects this as just another political rant, or doubts the seriousness of this issue or just deletes it without paying heed to it, or sending it on, is part of the problem. Lets quit laughing at and forwarding the jokes and cartoons which denigrate and ridicule our leaders in this war against terror. They are trying to protect the interests and well being of the world and it's citizens. Best we support them.
