Grassley Slams GM, Administration Over Loans Repaid With Bailout Money
"The bottom line seems to be that the TARP loans were 'repaid' with other TARP funds in a Treasury escrow account. The TARP loans were not repaid from money GM is earning selling cars, as GM and the administration have claimed in their speeches, press releases and television commercials."

There's those other tens of billions. You know the billions that GM got that the federal government said was repaid by getting 60% of GM? And the government's best buddies, the unions, into management.

General Motors Still Owes You

GM is still Government Motors. They still owe us. We, the taxpayer, footed the bill. Bush was wrong to start this and Obama was and is wrong to have made the government an owner.

GM has not repaid the loans. Let alone ahead of schedule.
