Obama's 16 Month Withdrawal Lie

Thanks RedState

Obama Press Release: Statement From Susan Rice In Response To PM Maliki’s Support For Obama’s Iraq Plan
“Senator Obama welcomes Prime Minister Maliki’s support for a 16 month timeline for the redeployment of U.S combat brigades. This presents an important opportunity to transition to Iraqi responsibility, while restoring our military and increasing our commitment to finish the fight in Afghanistan.”

Only problem is that as usual, what Obama says isn't quite true.

Iraqi PM disputes report on withdrawal plan
"U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama talks about 16 months," he said in an interview with Der Spiegel that was released Saturday.

"That, we think, would be the right time frame for a withdrawal, with the possibility of slight changes," he said.

But a spokesman for al-Maliki said his remarks "were misunderstood, mistranslated and not conveyed accurately."

Government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh said the possibility of troop withdrawal was based on the continuance of security improvements, echoing statements that the White House made Friday after a meeting between al-Maliki and U.S. President Bush.

I'm sure Obama will get right on this to set the record straight. Don't you? I mean, if Obama isn't trustworthy, what is he? A democrat?

If Obama keeps twisting, flip-flopping and changing his views he's gonna need a back brace. Maybe he can borrow one from Teddy Kennedy.
