Republican Chicken Littles and the Personal Power of Cowardice

It is a given that the MSM is doing all it can to undermine educational efforts, welfare reform, cutting tax rates and Iraq, in short, any program supported by President Bush, because they hate President Bush. The elected officials in Congress should be working for the security and the betterment of the United States of America, but they are more interested in elections and power. In short, most of them have become partisan hacks that hump special interest projects, earmarks and whatever else they feel they need to give them more power to make them more important to their party by making their party more powerful.

This has traditionally been a Democrat persona, but Republicans have defied the physics of stupidity and caught up in record time

To the point here, the Republicans that are squealing like scared piglets that the sky is falling in Iraq are moral and political cowards. Their cowardice is nestled in their arrogance of power and importance. In their helping the forces of chicken littles to gain a personal victory they have fashioned their own legacy. They are the Benedict Arnolds of today without the gall of Benedict Arnold.

Tygrrrr Express states it very well:

Given that all we are dealing with is the fate of the free world and
civilization versus death, destruction and barbarism, I think I will trust
General Petraeus and the soldiers with boots on the ground to handle this
matter.

We can either support General Petraeus, and contribute to saving
the world, or we can undermine him. When the history books are written, those
who chose to undermine him will be seen as uglier than the souls of those
currently at antiwar rallies.

Mr. President, you picked the right man for the job. My friends and
I are going to patiently back him, and are confident that he will deliver the
desired results in due time.

Good luck to both of you. You deserve nothing less.

Will crying George have another bolt of Bolton remorse or will he cut to the chase and pull out that old tie-died t-shirt kept in the back of his political closet?
