Big Government Equals Big Egos But Little Common Sense
Tom Wiseman, paid by taxpayers to do the public business, doesn't want to talk to the public nor the press. Nor do the others involved in pillorying Michael Allison of Illinois for making a recording to protect himself. The police, prosecutors, and government want to put him in prison for 75 years for a recording he informed the judge he was going to make because there was no court recorder for a hearing about his case.
In a 2010 article for Reason magazine Radley Balko had a quote from Wiseman which shows incredible arrogance, ignorance or simply a jackboot frame of mind.
"The only person doing any harassing here is Mr. Allison, who was harassing our public officials with his tape recorder," Wiseman says. "They may have problems with some bad police officers in some of your urban areas. But we don’t have those problems around here. All of our cops around here are good cops. This is a small town. Everyone knows everyone. If we had a bad police officer here, we’d know about it, I’d know about it, and he’d be out. There’s just no reason for anyone to feel they need to record police officers in Crawford County."
I think all three, but the point here is not anti-police, I'm a big fan of those that do a very difficult job, but of government run amok. Big government. Powerful government. Arrogant government. Government that is not answerable to those that pay for it, government that believes itself above all else. This is the government, in an ironic twist, that big government liberals have brought us, all in the name of "good government" to protect us from all things including ourselves. This is bad government and should be dismantled at the local, state and federal level.

Obama wanted to make a MAJOR address to Congress on the same night and time that the California Republican debate was to air. It was a calculated political stunt to try to block the debate or to make Republicans look bad by saying no to Obama.

Boehner said that since the House wouldn’t reconvene until 6:30 on Wednesday, and because it takes hours to complete the security sweep necessary for a presidential address, “it is my recommendation that your address be held on the following evening, when we can ensure there will be no parliamentary or logistical impediments that might detract from your remarks.”
The Speaker’s letter made no mention of the more obvious conflict: between the president’s speech, and a Republican presidential debate scheduled on Wednesday night at 8 p.m. EST. That debate is the first of the post-Labor Day political season, and the first one in which Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) is set to participate.

Wisconsin Has Become A Parody
As the economic plan that Governor Walker starts to show good results, including the retention and hiring of new teachers, leftists keep chanting, screaming and badgering everybody in a temper tantrum that has become a parody. 1/20/2009 Hope & Change Seen As A Disaster
In January of 2009 I remember being exhausted from campaigning. It was a long hard fight at the local, state and national level. We got our butt kicked. Doing what I normally did in the emptiness after campaign just ended I dove into house projects never finished from the last episode of being on call and working 24/7 for months on end to doing absolutely nothing as I talked with peers about ramping up again.
The media was giddy. They were giddy because they hadn't a clue about who had just been elected. Post racial first presidency aside, very few people understood anything about President-elect Obama except what he and his handlers had said.
There was one who understood and I shook as I read his words that day.

It is questionable whether the present political system can survive the coming crisis. Whatever the solution, teenage swooning sentimentality over a celebrity cult has no part in it. The most powerful nation on earth is confronting its worst economic crisis under the leadership of its most extremely liberal politician, who has virtually no experience of federal politics. That is not an opportunity but a catastrophe.
These are frank, even ungracious, words: they have the one merit that, unlike almost everything else written today about Obama, they will not require to be eaten in the future.
Most of the house projects are still unfinished, but some get moved along a bit as I work at them, from time to time, simply to relieve the tension from researching the destruction our nation is having done to it by schoolboy politicians who haven't a clue. About anything.

Obama and family spent 5 hours or so on a private beach on Martha's Vineyard and all we got was a lousy economy.

Of course, Obama is ignoring evacuation and emergency work on the island due to Hurricane Irene. When our Sunbather In Chief decides to get-and-go he'll just have his underlings clear the roads and airport runways to make room for his departure. If everyone is gone maybe his staff can get any unionized emergency workers to line the road to wave and bow as he blesses them with his nanosecond presence.
It's tough work to not work on a working vacation.

Our Royal Couple Is Emptying Our Coffers
A good husbands wants to make vacations a trip their wife will enjoy, generally they pay for them, especially the perks. At least the honest ones pay.
They traveled separately, which seems to becoming the norm for them, but at least the dog didn’t get his own Air Force bOne this time.
If this is the hope and change they’re offering then Michelle is Marie Antoinette and Barack is “Uncle Louis.” Maybe if we are real nice and forget about our constitutional rights they’ll let eat some cake. Crumbs.
