It is constantly asked, "How low will the Democrats go"? With the help of Progressives, a euphemism for Socialists, they have set their sights on going further into the sewer than they have ever gone before.

The group will be run by the principals of SCN Strategies, a San Francisco-based consulting firm that produced ads last cycle for California’s Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.). One of those deeply involved is Averell “Ace” Smith — who ran Hillary Clinton’s successful 2008 California and Texas primary operations and is known as one of the more cutthroat political operatives in the business.

Dan Newman of SCN Strategies, one of the three people leading the anti-Issa campaign, declines to disclose how much is being spent on the effort or who is bankrolling it, telling POLITICO it is being paid for by “patriotic Americans who don’t want to see the potential of an ethically challenged congressional investigator run amok with McCarthyesque fishing expeditions.”

The structure of the organization does not require that it disclose its funding.

But the goal is clear: Newman, Smith and the third partner, Sean Clegg, want to raise enough questions about Issa’s background and personal history that anything he turns up in probes of the Obama administration will be immediately discredited.

It is time to find out who these people are, who they are connected to, who is funding them and to find out how many crimes they have committed.

Grammys

Several people have asked me if I watched the Grammys and, if so, what I thought.

For some reason we watched the Grammys this year. I watched to the very end. I had to. I was so horrified by what I saw and heard I had to watch.

Ask yourself how many people you know like what Ron Paul stands for. Then ask yourself how many people you know think Ron Paul has a snow ball's chance of winning the presidency. They don't have to be close friends. They can be anyone you've ever met, talked to or seen. There is no credibility.

Then there are Ron Paul dEvolution members. They are abrasive, rude and underhanded and that's the good side. Cheap tricks don't a president make.

CPAC's RP straw poll win isn't just bogus, it is a cheap trick and it makes Ron Paul look like a cheap one trick pony.

Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, will argue in a major address Friday evening that the nation should “strengthen” — not “starve” — the world body.

The United Nations is a good thought. Communism is a good thought. Both want what Rodney King wants. They all say "Can't we all just get along" after they have hurt, lied, threatened, stole, killed and murdered.

Many ideas are thoughtful, but do not work because the reality of bad people ruin the idea. The UN is filled with such bad people. Thugs, representatives of dictators, assassins and murderers. The good people in the UN have one thing in common with the bad people, they are anti-US.

I humbly submit that President Obama, his administration and the federal bureaucrats try their darndest to start thinking about strengthening America. It will be very hard for them, but I would like to see them at least try it. Once.

Mubarak 'Hiding' Under Obama Bus

It is reported that Hosni Mubarak with step down from power in a recorded address to Egypt. The recording was supposedly recorded yesterday. Mubarak, it is reported, has been in negotiations for his removal. It is not being reported with whom Mubarak has been negotiating with.

After thirty years in partnership with the United States and Israel Mubarak has been prodded by the Obama administration to step aside. It appears that Obama has thrown Mubarak under the proverbial Obama bus, but it is also apparent that not only did Washington not see this coming, Washington and the administration have no idea what will happen in Egypt with the departure of Mubarak.

Once Mubarak steps down we will have to idly sit aside and watch whether it will be Islamofascists such as the Muslim Brotherhood, the military or pro-democracy forces that will take power. There is no other way to look at this than as a total failure by the Obama administration.

If the worst happens Israel will be the first to feel the wrath of this failure and then free nations around the world will have to brace for best trained and best equipped military in the Middle East to start making moves led by religious fanatics.

Lactivists Or Boobs In Public?

Why is it necessary to breast feed in public? It isn't. Why is it inappropriate to breast feed in public, especially in a museum on the National Mall? Because families, as in children, are in attendance and many people find it too personal and a form of public nudity. It is also inappropriate because there are perverts and voyeurs who will be titillated by such public events.

Richard Avedon, who I watched as an apprentice, changed the way I interpreted the images I looked to record. Eugene Richards sucked the drama out of my vision and gave me clearness.

The people who made his book The Americans important were the people of my generation - the people who came of age in the late Sixties, that generation of people dealing with the Vietnam War and questions about the country. The book was a fractured view of the country. It addressed a lot of the obvious metaphors for what America was like, and turned them on end. I first saw that book when I came back from the South in the late Sixties, and I was pretty upset about the country. So then you see this photo book that reflects your emotions of the time, and it becomes a very important work to you. It felt very close to what you were experiencing. Later, you saw it as a remarkable personal expression. At first, the book was a combination of politics and art to me. That's what made it inspirational - that you could actually get your political feelings into pictures. I had been trying, and when I saw that book, I felt very much at home with the guy. Frank is very direct and not overly emotional, but a straightforward guy. He's right to the point. He takes life very seriously. He's low-key, kind of egoless, and very harsh at the same time. As for his other work, I've never been disappointed. I don't know how much of a weight that book is around his neck. Probably a lot. It's a book that rocks everybody.
