Gaza "Peace" Flotilla Savagely Attacks Boarding Israeli Commandos

What were fighters and weapons doing on peace ships? Immediately following the attacks several groups across the Middle East and Turkey staged protests and issued reports attacking Israel. Coincidence or preplanned?

Israel Prime Minister Gives 'Full Support' to Military in Gaza Flotilla Raid
An Al-Jazeera reporter on one of the Turkish ships said the Israelis fired at the vessel before boarding it. The Israelis, who had declared they would not let the ships reach Gaza, said they only opened fire after being attacked by activists with sticks, knives and live fire from weapons seized from the Israeli commandos.

"On board the ship we found weapons prepared in advance and used against our forces," declared Israel's deputy foreign minister, Danny Ayalon.

"The organizers' intent was violent, their method was violent and the results were unfortunately violent. Israel regrets any loss of life and did everything to avoid this outcome."

The Arab League, which many believe is just another way to spell Hamas, issued this statement:

"The Arab League strongly condemns this terrorist act."

Terrorist act? Do they mean terrorist acts such as what Hamas did in the Gaza Strip?

Immediately after the boarding, which obviously the Israelis thought were going to be peaceful, protesters in Turkey, Nazareth, Beruit and statements issued by Syria, Lebanon and others such as the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign issued provocative statements in what appears to be a coordinated fashion.

I think the deaths caused by the "peace" flotilla members were planned and exactly what they wanted and now the world will trumpet the latest victimhood crap to all that will listen.

A Day Of Memorial For The Fallen

History tells us of the heroic deeds of soldiers, as it should.

From the cobblers, candlestick makers and farmers who wrested our freedom from the most feared army in the world, former classmates, one in gray and one in blue, who after the battle joined to recover a friend's body from the field of war and the troops who care for children with one eye to the danger of cowards with bombs strapped to themselves, American troops have knowingly faced danger when called with honor. They all deserve our respect.

For those that fell a day of remembrance has been named Memorial Day.

As I approach the gates of heaven;
St. Peter I will tell;
One more soldier reporting sir;
I've served my time in hell.
-Mark Anthony Gresswell

May God bless them and may all that remember pray for them.

When Does Freedom Of The Press Cross Over To Treason?

If your one of the liberal losers at the New York Times the answer is simple. Never. They have the responsibility, in their eyes, to tell all even when they know our troops will die because of their leaking of secrets. They don't care because soldiers aren't really all that important in their greater scheme of things except that soldiers stand in the way of what the Times want.

Just another act of deadly treason
Yesterday, The New York Times published another front-page article based on a leaked classified document. This time, it was an order signed by Gen. David Petraeus authorizing black operations against adversaries and such dubious friends as Iran, Syria, Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

The only people worse than those that work at the Times are those that leak secrets. Both groups are traitors and murderers. That used to stand for something in America.

Democrats Applaud Harsh Treatment Of Illegal Immigrants

As El Presidente Calderon spoke glowingly of Mexico and the harsh racist law passed in Arizona Democrats jumped to their feet to applaud him. Yeah, like Mexican Jumping Beans.

Democrats Take Warmly to Calderon Message on Immigration and Beyond
Later on in the speech, Calderon said Mexico was on its way toward "a goal any nation would be proud of: universal health coverage by 2012."

Again, Democrats rose to their feet to applaud Calderon, while Republicans -- still bruised over the yearlong health care overhaul fight in Washington -- stayed put.

In another odd moment, rows of Democrats rose to applaud Calderon when he delivered a brief portion toward the end of his speech in Spanish. First in Spanish, then in English, Calderon voiced his respect for "migrants" who have left their families to work in the United States and pledged to work for their "rights."

Republicans remained seated while Democrats rose for extended applause.

Mexico can't even feed its people, but Calderon says he will care for all of them?

Activists blast Mexico's immigration law
Arizona's new law forcing local police to take a greater role in enforcing immigration law has caused a lot of criticism from Mexico, the largest single source of illegal immigrants in the United States.

But in Mexico, illegal immigrants receive terrible treatment from corrupt Mexican authorities, say people involved in the system.

And Mexico has a law that is no different from Arizona's that empowers local police to check the immigration documents of people suspected of not being in the country legally.

"There (in the United States), they'll deport you," Hector Vázquez, an illegal immigrant from Honduras, said as he rested in a makeshift camp with other migrants under a highway bridge in Tultitlán. "In Mexico they'll probably let you go, but they'll beat you up and steal everything you've got first."

Recap: In Arizona illegal immigrants can be arrested after which they will receive medical care, be feed and given a clean bed to sleep in. In Mexico illegal immigrants might be robbed, beaten, raped and taken to the desert to die, by government officials. Yep, it's easy to see why Democrats applaud the Mexico system and condemn Arizona, they like robbing citizens too.

Good News!! The Gulf Oil Spill Will Not Reach Chicago!

Nor will any mentiion of it probably. OTOH, maybe Obama can squeeze in time for moderate Hamas for some secret $20 million canapes.

Lack of Obamas' visit agenda leaves Chicagoans guessing
The news that President Barack Obama and his family will return to Chicago for the Memorial Day weekend has triggered a guessing game.

Where will they dine? What will they do for fun? With the Sox on the road and the Blackhawks skating into the Stanley Cup finals, might the first family ditch its predictable pastimes -- basketball, golf and tennis -- and go to the United Center for hockey?

It's so good for a president to get back to his roots.

Delbert McClinton Explained By Ricky Skaggs

I have got to find my Ricky Skaggs "My Father's Son" CD. Though not as bluegrass as his other titles it is one of Skaggs best.

Here Skaggs does an intro for Delbert. I've never held it against Delbert that he felt the need to teach John Lennon to play the harmonica.

Coming out of about a week’s worth of the sleepy grunges and Delbert starts making it right.

Delbert is now about 70 and still at it.

SEIU Union Mob Threatens Son At Home Over $156 Million Owed Father's Bank

I used to live near the area into which DC cops escorted SEIU and National People's Action (NPA) chartered buses carrying approximately 700 "protesters." It is no short haul from DC.

The DC cops did not notify Montgomery County, Maryland police nor Rockville, Maryland police nor, it seems, any official in the town, county or state of Maryland.

SEIU officials did not alert anyone except a friendly blogger from the Huffington Post who crafted a report so laughable even she must be embarrassed. No press alert, no press release nor even a few phone calls nor emails to a multitude of supportive reporters. This from a union that will call in all the known reporters for a minor bellyache.

What's really behind SEIU's Bank of America protests?

The National People's Action is a radical group that does not have the best interest of the United States of America in mind, in fact they are working to destroy the United States of America.

These are the people that have beat up people, shoved old women around and now try to terrify families. They say that they are trying to save family homes when actually they are trying to make banks pay for houses they were forced to make loans on by NPA, SEIU and other progressive groups and their allies in Congress. They were integral in creating the housing loan mess and now they owe Bank of America $156 million they borrowed to get their allies elected to Congress. Incestuous indeed.

4 Republicans Help Dodd (D-Countrywide) And Demos Destroy Economy And US

H.R. 4173 As Amended; Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2009

Let the party begin with the government supplying the cake from the week old shelf of closing bakeries everywhere. The government now owns you. Completely. Your cars, your insurance, your health, your banks and now your wallet or the lack thereof. And 4 spineless Republicans helped the government take more power while knowingly hurting you and the country.

Senate Passes Finance Bill

Biggest Regulatory Overhaul of Wall Street Since Depression Moves Closer to Law

"Simply, the American people are saying, 'you've got to protect us,' and we didn't back down from that," said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.). "When this bill becomes law, the joyride on Wall Street will come to a screeching halt."

But this screaming right wing radical disagrees with Harry Hasbeen:

"It will inevitably contract credit," said Sen. Judd Gregg (R., N.H.), who says the Senate bill "is probably undermining the system…probably making for a weaker system."

Yep, that's right, the government that needs a 26 page recipe to make brownies is going to regulate spending. You read that right. Congress, which couldn't balance a checkbook if their pointy little heads depended on it, are going to tell private enterprise how they must balance their checkbooks.

This is scary:

What's in the Fine Print

Key parts of the Senate bill and where it differs from the House version

Consumers

Senate version
  • Consolidates responsibilities from seven agencies into a Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection within the Federal Reserve system to oversee products made available to consumers
  • Limits ability of mortgage lenders to assess penalities on borrowers who pay off the loan early
  • Prohibits paying brokers and loan officers more to steer borrowers to higher interest rates or certain risky features; commissions would be based on the size or number of loans originated

How House bill differs
  • Oversight would be independent of the Fed and exclude insurance companies, auto dealers and accountants, among others

Investors

Senate version
  • Creates Investment Advisory Committee within Securities and Exchange Commission
  • Creates Office of Investor Advocate within SEC to identify problems in dealing with SEC and provide assistance
  • Gives SEC the authority to grant shareholders proxy access to nominate directors
  • Requires directors to win by majority vote in uncontested elections
  • Gives shareholders the right to nonbinding vote on executive pay, excluding golden parachutes

How the house bill differs
  • Would require institutions with assets of at least $1 billion to disclose to regulators the structures of all incentive-based compensation

Banks

Senate version
  • Eliminates Office of Thrift Supervision
  • Federal Reserve Board would keep oversight of largest bank holding companies
  • State banks and holding companies would either be regulated by the Fed or FDIC
  • National banks with less than $50 billion in assets would be under Office of the Comptroller of the Currency
  • Banks would be generally barred from using their own capital to engage in speculative trades

How the house bill differs
  • Preserves the Fed's and FDIC's bank-supervision roles; calls for OTS to be absorbed by the OCC

Markets

Senate version
  • Hedge Funds: Requires investment advisers of hedge funds with $100 million or more in assets to register with the SEC
  • Derivatives: Requires that many derivatives and overthe- counter financial products be traded on regulated platforms
  • Securitizations : Requires companies that package loans into marketable securities to hold at least 5% of the credit risk
  • Requires issuers to disclose more information about and analyze the quality of underlying assets

How the house bill differs
  • Applies to funds with assets of $150 million or more; exempts venture-capital funds
  • Exempts many end users from mandatory central clearing
  • Exempts education, agriculture, veterans and small-business loans

Insurers

Senate version
  • Creates Office of National Insurance within Treasury to monitor industry, recommending to the systemic-risk council insurers that should be treated as systemically important
  • Office would recommend ways to modernize insurance regulation, but it is explicitly not a new regulator

How the house bill differs
  • Proposes creation of a Federal Insurance Office with similar characteristics

Other Elements

Senate version
  • Creates office at SEC to administer credit rating agencies' rules and practices

  •  Creates Financial Stability Oversight Council, led by Treasury secretary, with nine voting members. Agency would identify systemic risks to the economy, promote market discipline and respond to emerging risks. It would also write regulations for risk-based capital, leverage and liquidity requirements

How the house bill differs
  • Also creates seven-member advisory board for credit raters
  • Large firms would pay into a $150 billion fund to manage the dissolution of failing firms considered systemically significant

Scott Brown, Susan Collins, Chuck Grassley, Olympia Snowe.

Anti-Obama tack buoys some Democrats

Who says old dogs, yellow dogs and blue dogs can't learn new tricks?

"On the other hand, I think it's fair to say that one of the reasons there's so much unhappiness out there [among voters] is that the administration's policies have upset people."

How long until the DNC starts selling bumper stickers that say, "Obama sucks, Vote Democrat"?

Alcee Hastings (D-Fla) Finally Throws Support Behind Voter Identification!

I knew that a giant of integrity such as our good buddy Alcee would come around.

Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-Fla.) said Republicans were trying to stop the actual business of the House.

“First this is not American Idol or Dancing With the Stars,” Hastings said on the House floor. “This is America’s legislature. For all we know, on YouCut, Osama bin Laden could be voting. Please know that not handful of organized gotcha Republicans are going to control this legislature.”

Next, Alcee is going to force illegal aliens to identify themselves. You rock Alcee!

Mexico Is As Racist As Arizona!!!!!

That's it! I've got people, you know? And I'm banning them from traveling to Mexico. No more. That means no Burritos, no Margharitas, no jumping beans and no Taco Bell! No more racism from a place that profiles Anglos who just want to add to the economy of Mexico. Just like the brave mayors I am officially telling my people that there will be no more, none, IA funded travel to Mexico. Amigos? Yeah, right. Yo, Amigo, we no go!

I've also told my people there will be no more sneaking across the Rio Grande River illegally just to get free welfare and sopapillos. It's just embarrassing when they're arrested wearing Speedos. Hey people, you know who I'm talking about.

BLITZER: So if people want to come from Guatemala or Honduras or El Salvador or Nicaragua, they want to just come into Mexico, can they just walk in?"

CALDERON: No! They need to fulfill, uh, a form. They need to establish their right name. We analyze if they have not a criminal precedence.

BLITZER: Do Mexican police go around asking for papers of people they suspect are illegal immigrants?

CALDERON: Of course! Of course!

BLITZER: If somebody sneaks in from Nicaragua or some other country in Central America through the southern border of Mexico and they wind up in Mexico, they can going get a job?

CALDERON: No, no, no.

BLITZER: They can work?

CALDERON: If somebody do that without permissions, we send -- we send back them.

Anyway, who wants to hang around a bunch of racists? We'll just have to scrape by here in America without the almighty Peso. Bummer, yes I know, but wrong is wrong. No more picking their money from their trees for them. Let them do it themselves and see how much they like that!

Interesting Fact About The Empire State Building

Looking at old photographs I came across this one which I discovered is a collage (fake) of a dirigible docked atop the Empire State Building. Below the photograph is the story.

The photograph on the left evokes a Golden Age of air travel. Dirigibles would cross the Atlantic, then appear over Manhattan and glide up to the Empire State Building. After a dirigible docked at the world's tallest building, passengers would transfer from airship to skyscraper, and an elevator would whisk them to street level. Through it all, New Yorkers would be treated to the behemoth hovering overhead.

The only problem is that the photo is a fake. The artful composite illustrates nothing more than the wishful thinking of financier John. J. Raskob and former New York governor Al Smith, the pair that spearheaded the creation of the Empire State Building in the late 1920s. Previously, the building was to top out at the 85th floor, with a flat roof. But the story goes that Raskob looked at a scale model one day and declared, "It needs a hat." After all, the rival Chrysler Building was crowned with a distinctive stainless steel spire.

Unadorned, the Empire State project would reach higher than the Chrysler, but only by few feet. The addition conceived by Raskob's team would add another 200 feet-and it would serve more than a mere ornamental function. It would become a unique airport in the sky.

With legendary showmanship, Al Smith extolled the building taking shape, including its airship-docking role. The press chimed in with talk of "a sensational new era in the history of aviation." By opening day, May 1,1931, the masonry structure sported a cylindrical mooring mast, done up in chrome-nickel steel and faceted glass.

The Empire State Building was completed on time and under budget. Yet for such a well-thought-out building, it was remarkably unprepared for its role as aviation pioneer. Granted, the building's framework was stiffened against the 50-ton pull of a moored dirigible, some of the winch equipment for pulling in arriving ships was installed, and the 86th floor was readied with space for a departure lounge and customs ticket offices. The builder's lawyers even prepared a thick brief, arguing, amongst other things, that owners of neighboring buildings could not sustain a claim of trespass when they found dirigibles overhead. But no one worked out one other problem: wind. The steel-and-glass canyons of Manhattan are an airship captain's nightmare of shifting air currents. Raskob and Smith were inviting the unwieldy craft to come in low and slow, over hazards such as the menacing Chrysler Building spire, and somehow tie up without use of a ground crew. Then, too, if the crew released ballast to maintain pitch control, a torrent of water would cascade onto the streets below. And once secured, a dirigible could be tethered only at the nose, with no ground lines to keep it steady.

Passengers would have to make their way down a stinging gangway, nearly a quarter mile in the air, onto a narrow open walkway near the top of the mast. After squeezing through a tight door, they would have to descend two steep ladders inside the mast before reaching the elevators. "Can you see some of the 75-year-old dowager doing that?" asks Alexander Smirnoff, the current telecommunications director of the building, as he stands on that walkway.

Confronted with such daunting realities, Smith dispensed bland assurances that "there must be some way to work that thing out." He insisted that the US Navy was a partner in the project and its dirigible Los Angeles would dock at the mast. But the navy remained mum. The most it did was allow one of its smaller airships to hover nearby one day at the request of a newsreel company.

Passenger airship service was the province of Germany's Zeppelin Company, and its head, Hugo Eckener, did not hide his skepticism. That's fortunate for New York. Just imagine if the hydrogen-filled Hindenburg had exploded over midtown Manhattan instead of Lakehurst, New Jersey.

Eventually, the press' initial enthusiasm for the docking scheme began giving way to concerns about risk. A Philadelphia newspaper wrote, "Basically the proposal to dock transatlantic airships...hangs on the highly dubious contention that the saving of an hour's time to thirty or forty travelers is of more importance than the assured safety of thousands of citizens on the streets below."

One small airship did drop a long rope to the mast and held on from a distance for a precarious three minutes, and another delivered a bundle of newspapers by rope. After that, the effort was quietly abandoned. But the mast remained, and it eventually became an asset, turning out to be a spectacular radio and television transmitter. It also provided two popular and lucrative observation decks. And it gave the Empire State Building an unforgettable profile.

Finally, the mast became an enduring symbol of human folly. John Tauranac, author of The Empire State Building: The Making of a Landmark, called the airship plan "the looniest building scheme since the Tower of Babel."

How Embarrassed Should Mexican President Calderon Be?

Mexicans are risking their lives, spending what little money they have and are desperate to get out of Mexico. That's the good ones. Then there are the crooks, the drug dealers and gangs that Calderon allows to operate, in fact many in his government financially benefit from their activity, who bring their death and destruction into our country. He's lecturing us?

His country is broken and is trying to break ours and he is invited to stand before Congress and lecture us? By whom? Why? At what point did members of Congress not understand the Kafkaesque moment in which they were sitting?

If you are in this country illegally and it appears a large percentage of Calderon's population is, then you are doing something illegal, but Calderon implies that is fine. What is not fine to Calderon and apparently to a large number of our Congress is that Arizona wants to enforce the law.

How embarrassed is Calderon that he has failed his country so miserably? Better question might be, how embarrassed are the members of Congress who listened to this tripe and didn't yell, "You lie!"

Columbus, Ohio Mayor Coleman To Ban City Funded Travel To DC And All States

He must. Well, if he is going to be consistent because the Arizona law simply reiterates federal laws already in place for all 50 states and the District of Columbia. That should help cut the city budget woes.

Actually, he is being consistent with the politically correct crowd which is rarely consistent with reality. Such as:

Coleman bans city-funded travel to Arizona

But,

Columbus recently extended its agreement with Phoenix-based Redflex Traffic Systems Inc., which owns and operates the city's 20 red-light cameras. The new contract will double the number of cameras posted at Columbus intersections to issue tickets to red-light-runners.

Rescinding that program "wouldn't make sense to the taxpayers," Williamson said.

"Wouldn't make sense" eh? No, it sure wouldn't make sense to boycott that which benefits Columbus. Those cameras free up officers for Coleman's personal security detail no doubt.

Speaking of security:

Kalamazoo Central seniors aren't the only ones asked the 'Citizen status' question regarding President Barack Obama's visit

I love the snittiness of the editor walking back the original article's point which is that the president needs to know who is going to be around him, if they are safe and, you know, security type things. The editor doesn't even see the irony when they state that the security (identification) check isn't just for students, it is for everyone. Everyone. Everyone has to prove not only who there are, but also prove who they're not.

Which brings us back to the security question in general which brings us back to Arizona and its new law which restates what the federal law says, but doesn't enforce, but the president does enforce on those around him because it benefits him.

So, why is Coleman banning travel to Arizona? Is it because he doesn't like the law or does he need to save enough money to pay for law enforcement tools here in Columbus which when used, forces citizens to produce identification? Oh, and money. Lots of it.

Seems a lot of people need to show identification, but a lot of people are upset with Arizona for doing the same thing. Maybe it because a lot of illegal aliens are of a different skin color, but that would make it racist to say they don't have to show identification, but the rest of the people do. Of course, some cur might suggest that this whole issue is nothing more than an attempt to garner votes by and for a particular political party.

But, that would be racist, no?

ObamaCare Brings Us NHS And The Berwick Butt Blunder

“I am romantic about the NHS; I love it. All I need to do to rediscover the romance is to look at health care in my own country.” Dr. Donald Berwick

Gotta love those death in the butt toilet bowl cleaner handles. Especially the ones that crack government doctors can't see, even when using an x-ray machine looking for a plastic handle. This seems to be so rich in layers of governmental expertise from the ER to the OR to the bureaucratic numbskull that okayed all of these procedures.

Toilet brush 'blunder' death
A YOUNG mum died after a series of blunders by doctors who failed to spot a six-inch long TOILET BRUSH HANDLE embedded in her buttock, an inquest was told today.

...
Cindy's husband, a construction manager, is now taking legal action against United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust.

He said after the hearing: "Ok she was drunk but they didn't take her seriously. She showed them the wound but they didn't do a proper examination.

"I think it was probably down to the hospitals trying to save money and doing things as cheaply as possible."

He added: "Cindy got a very poor service from the NHS. I'm sure she would have got better treatment in foreign countries."

Oh, and this exquisite new system the Obama has brought us won't save $138 billion, it will cost us at least $115 billion more. That is quite a pain in the butt of another cause.

Of course the libs will blame the doctors.

Texas doctors opting out of Medicare at alarming rate
The uncertainty proved too much for Dr. Guy Culpepper, a Dallas-area family practice doctor who says he wrestled with his decision for years before opting out in March. It was, he said, the only way “he could stop getting bullied and take control of his practice.”

“You do Medicare for God and country because you lose money on it,” said Culpepper, a graduate of the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. “The only way to provide cost-effective care is outside the Medicare system, a system without constant paperwork and headaches and inadequate reimbursement.”

If you put the federal government in charge of deserts you will have a sand shortage in no time. In 1965 my father, a doctor, said that the Medicare/Medicaid system was doomed to fail, but before it did, it would drive costs through the ceiling and quality down the crapper. Unfortunately for us, his family, and his many patients he died very young in 1967.

Unfortunate for his family, yes, but actually more unfortunate the patients who needed his considerable skill which was offered on need, not offered on one's ability to pay.He used to go to rural areas to treat farmers who not only felt they couldn't afford to pay, but more so because they couldn't afford to leave their farm work undone.

Once, my mother took a call from a farmer's wife who said her husband had caught part of his arm in a combine, had cut away tissue to get it loose and was now feverish and had a bad odor. As usual, my father looked across the dinner table, nodded to me and we headed out.

I could see his mind working through the flexing of his jaw as we drove. He was planning for the worst, but hoping for the best. Once there he reached into his bag and pulled out some alcohol which he poured onto to his handkerchief which he had pulled from his suit jacket and told me to hold it over my nose. I still remember the coolness of the alcohol on that hot August evening. And the flies.

The smell coming through the alcohol soaked handkerchief made me gag as we approached the back kitchen door to the farmhouse. Before we got through the door he told the wife to call family to help hold her husband down, to boil as many pots of water as possible and collect clean sheets. My job, I was 13, was to call for an ambulance and give them the address and have the company call the hospital and tell them "possible amputation due to gangrene" was coming in and then help the wife.

My father saved the man's life, most of his arm and almost lost his practice. First the lawyers came sniffing and promising the farmer's family that they could only save the farm by suing the doctor. Next came a medical review board and on and on. My father had been right, was proved right by the county medical board, the medical review board and the courts (after he was dead). He never charged the family a penny because he knew they were living on the edge of losing everything. The farmer never tried to sue, his very elderly parents had been coerced into signing the papers placed before them to save their son's farm as they were told.

Before my father died he was told he had to change how he practiced medicine because many didn't understand the new techniques he employed, that the government was so far out of touch with innovation that they were years away from okaying new techniques and that there would be no more house calls, if only to fend off the lawyers. This was told to him by his best friend, a lawyer.

It was a different time then before the government and lawyers took over medicine. That farmer didn't seek medical attention because he was too proud to negotiate paying the bill, not because he was stupid, ignorant or stubborn. He had pride. His family didn't take handouts. He didn't miss work. That farmer was a man of respect.

Well, Medicare/Medicaid had become the law and now some 45 years later it is the vehicle that the government uses to lessen medicine through their ridiculous notion that they know how to run a medical practice. If it wasn't for the ethics of doctors who have believe in "God and country" many patients wouldn't be treated, especially the old and the indigent. They are treated by a doctor, not some bureaucrat in Washington, DC. In an ironic twist, Medicare/Medicaid has a higher turn down rate for procedures than private insurance companies. Ah, but the private insurance companies are just in it for the money while the bureaucrat is in it for the good of the people and they will tell you that from their comfortable houses bought with their comfortable salaries and their ensured employment.

They are able to tell you that over a comfortable dinner because bureaucrats don't miss a meal or go on house calls. Not even for the dying. Office hours, you know. Oh, and government rules.

God help us from more government help, especially in the area of medical care. Just like the deserts, medical practices are becoming a shortage.

UPDATE: I was asked what happened to the farmer.

The farmer recovered and went on to make himself a success. His children now live comfortably in Florida on the proceeds from selling his land to a developer. My father died at a young age from 18 hour days and a fourth heart attack. He would have had it no other way because then, in his mind, he would not have done enough to help others. Yes, while alive my father made very good money which took care of my mother for another 33 years into old age and illness. My sisters and I do not live in Florida. I still have all of my father's records. At first we were told that we had to keep them for "legal reasons." Now I keep them to remember.

BWAHAHAHA: Dodd Speaks Of Lying Blumenthal's Honor "Bump"

Having Chris Dodd speak of honor is kinda like hiring Satan to speak about ethics. Wait. Okay, whatever.

Dodd Defends Blumenthal, Calls Vietnam Row A 'Bump'

"Dick Blumenthal and I have known each other for almost 40 years, and I've always known him to be the most honorable of people," Dodd said, just outside his office. "And nothing I read says anything differently about Dick Blumenthal. He's going to be a great United States Senator in my view. He's been a terrific Attorney General. So this is a bump but frankly I think that he's handled it well and as I said, I've known him to be nothing but the most honorable of human beings in public life."

As he should. Once out of office he should go door to door and apologize for his lies and the shattering of the trust his supporters put in him.

Indiana Rep. Mark Souder to Resign Amid Allegations of Affair With Staffer

Some will say he made a mistake, which he did. More than just a mistake he has distracted from important debates about our future by living the lie of being a "family values" representative of the people. Now he needs to pay for that mistake before he can begin to rebuild his life. Good.

Under Obama's Tutelage Iraq And The Middle East Spiral Back Into Brutality And Fear

What scared the left in America and terrorists worldwide was the success of Democracy in Iraq. Those in the Middle East who are pro-democracy are in a state of disbelief. How could something as hopeful as freedom be dashed by one man so fast, even by a man they supported. Obama has abandoned the promises he made in Egypt to Arabs about democracy and freedom, he has in fact thrown those who believed him overboard to be left on their own after believing the promises of support from American presidents.

Anti-Qaeda Sunni imams slaughtered in Iraq: military
Two Sunni Arab imams were brutally killed on Monday in Iraq, including one who was decapitated and had his head planted on a power pole, in attacks blamed on Al-Qaeda, military officials said.

The slayings in the province of Diyala, northeast of Baghdad, were against anti-Qaeda preachers who regularly railed against the terror network during Friday sermons.

Obama campaigned with a theme that he would bring respect back foreign respect of America. He would make America stand for something good, not evil and bad as the previous administration had done. That Obama created this love deficit out of whole cloth is beside the point. What is the point is that he has made America a country not to be believed by those that want to break the chains of history while maintaining the status quo of dictators, fanatics and self appointed power thugs.

Alas, it is the same strategy he is employing here. Not just broken promises, but promises made that were never intended to do anything more than sound good enough to fool some of the people for some of the time. Time enough to accomplish his hope and change which have little or nothing to do with the hope and change of the people.

We Apologize To China, Will China Boycott Arizona?

Continuing his Rodney King style of foreign policy, the administration once again said to a foreign country, "Can't we all just get along" by announcing we're racists too.

Apologizing For Arizona
He said U.S. officials did not whitewash the American record and in fact raised on its own a new immigration law in Arizona that requires police to ask about a person's immigration status if there is suspicion the person is in the country illegally.

Enforcing the law in Arizona, it seems, is the same as China murdering million, persecuting 100s of millions and indicting people for wanting to be free. At least it seems so in Foggy Bottom and on Pennsylvania Avenue. Not so much her in America, at least the real America.

Obama Signs Press Freedom Act, Tells Press To Buzz off

Is this guy a piece of work or what?

Obama signs press freedom act, declines to take questions
The law requires the State Department to list countries that threaten press freedoms and permit violence against journalists. It "puts us clearly on the side of journalistic freedom," Obama said.

...

"You are free to ask them," Obama said. "I'm not doing a press conference today."

This is just another chapter in Obama's rulebook concerning the press, the people and the plutocracy of power pimps that are sandbagging the White House against the rising flood of anger of the voters.

Look up arrogance and there is a picture of Obama.

Tweet Chavez

Chavez asks Venezuelans to tweet on speculators

I suggest that Venezuelans Tweet every stupid, bombastic lie that Baby Hugo utters. Every dictatorial indiscretion, every ham fisted atrocity and every ugly moment that this buffoon has subjected his citizenry to.

Tweet the fat bast*rd out of office and out of this world. He is sucking oxygen out of the air that good people might be able to use.

What an absolute fool.

Bad resolution. Good photo.

STUNNED! San Diego Upset With Arizona Because San Diego Called Arizona Racist

One has to love the thinking of the East Coast and the Left Coast.

San Diego is begging Arizonians, Zonies, not to misinterpret San Diego calling them racists. Oh, and please still come vacation in San Diego you racist pigs.

Some in Arizona canceling trips to S.D.

Outrage over local censure votes may be a misunderstanding
San Diego Councilwoman Donna Frye said she believes some Arizona residents are acting out of a misunderstanding.

“The City Council did not pass a resolution boycotting Arizona, and I would hope that the good citizens of Arizona understand that and will continue to visit San Diego,” Frye said.

School board President Shelia Jackson said that while she was disappointed to hear of people opting to stay away from San Diego, she doesn’t regret her vote.

“It’s sad that people would cancel their plans to come here in reaction to that, but I still think we did the right thing,” Jackson said. “Certainly, we know how important tourism is to San Diego, and it wasn’t my intent to impact the tourism trade.”

As I taught my children, words have meaning and actions cause reaction. It's about time the PC police learn that when they spout off what they think is popular it will cause a reation, especially when it may be popular, but stupidly wrong..

I love San Diego, but I cannot conceive of why I would go there now. So, San Diego, you can plan on me taking my extended family elsewhere this year to a new and really nice resort. BTW, it isn't in California nor any of its fellow traveler states in the PC Brigade.

16 companies comply with New York City mayor's intrusive efforts to control what you eat
Despite challenges from the scientific community, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg remains undaunted in his efforts to force New Yorkers to cut down on their salt intake. His latest maneuver announced on Monday was to persuade 16 food manufacturers and food service vendors—among them Starbucks, Heinz, and Subway—to agree to reduce the salt content in their products by 25 percent.

But, but, but...

According to a report published in last November's Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, the need to restrict salt content in food is questionable at best. The report compiled by researchers at the University of California at Davis cited several studies that show that adults “naturally seek” to regulate their own salt intake. “To attempt to use public policy to abrogate human physiology would be futile and possibly harmful to human health” the report stated.

Bloomberg and his allies, who never let facts get in the way of what they want, aren't going to stop with their salt crusade. The need to control is in their blood, but unlike salt, cannot be measured by science.

Why is a billionaire mommy maniac from New York City able to control what America eats? Why do we allow it?

Obama: Oil Leak Bush's Fault. Surprise!

Minutes ago, in his press conference to outline what his administration will do to assist in cleaning up the oil floating in the Gulf of Mexico President Obama decided that once again that any problem is somebody else's fault.

After listing the faults of the cozy relationship between government officials and oil companies Obama stated enough is enough and this will end immediately. He then stated that none of this was Ken Salazar's fault because Salazar, Secretary of the Interior, has only been in place for over a year, so now Obama will support Salazar. About time, eh?

Immediately, 30 day inspections of all deep drilling rigs will begin!

Recap: It's Bush's fault, but there is no rest for the weary, Obama to the rescue. A day late (actually weeks) and a dollar short (we have money left?). Once again Obama took no questions.

Wow! I'm glad I waited, as usual, for the president to address the nation. I feel so much better.

'Eat Sh*t And Die' Principle At Coconut Grove Elementary Defended By Superintendent

This is how NEA/union leaders surround the wagons when parents want to be part of their children's education. Something the NEA cannot allow because they, their union and the government know so much better than any parent.

Hey Wall Street, You Suck. No! No, My Aide Handles Checks

Midday, Wall Street is told just how bad they are, but by evening, like lemmings, they line up in the St. Regis hotel in midtown Manhattan to give Obama and Democrats money. Lots of it. At $50,000 a pop.

After beating up Wall Street 'fat cats,' President Obama ready to take their money in NY fund-raiser
The high-dollar affair will feature fine French food, a bevy of Wall Street titans and 23 Congress members - including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

Hypocrisy, thy name is Democrat. Trash talk the wealthy, those that make money, in fact, trash those that actually produce, make payrolls and work for what they make and then not only ask, but expect their money to support you.

Did Obama have the Presidential Suite to relax in? Maybe the Imperial Suite. Did the Democrat members of Congress snap up the Grand Luxe Room or the Madison Suite to make calls while their staff checked the official Blackberry for messages? Maybe they just went plebeian with Superior Rooms for a mere $995.00 a day.

Once they all had utilized their changing room they sauntered down to the St. Regis Ball Room for finger food, a fine cocktail or two, maybe three and then on to a delicate soup with the correct wine to compliment. Make sure one of your staff identifies the correct place card before seating. Please, don't compliment the waiter on the great dessert because it's only a palate cleanser utilized to freshen your mouth between courses. Next, will be the salad course. Do not comment that you have never seen so many damned forks (different sizes!) on a table before. Remember, it's not another dessert, it's a palate cleanser! On to the starch course and, no, it is not hash browns, it is a roasted potato in a delicate herb vinaigrette and do not ask a waiter if it comes with bacon or sausage patties. Remember, palate cleanser.....

It may seem that the meal is over because of the time until the next plate, but the main course is coming. Also, this would be a good time to stop taking other guests wine and swilling it down with a burp. There is more wine coming to especially blend with and compliment (yes, C-O-M-P, never mind, it means something good) the main course. If the main course is served in the French style with wrappings to cover the end of bones, such as a Crown Rib Roast, do not comment on the cute "bone app-a-teet" chef hats. Many of the guests will not understand your wit. To better assist in your dining pleasure, it is suggested that you wait a bit to begin eating. That way you can watch the other guests to guide you to which fork and knife to use.

Okay, now it's time for dessert. No, no wine, but there will be a digestifs served after. (yes, that is D-I-G-E, oh whatever. It's after chow booze). Maybe a Cherry Clafoutis, and Creme Brulee which you will like. Again, just watch which utensil others use.

Now that dinner is over, don't jump up and say there's a game on TV, just wait politely (P-O-L, sorry I thought...never mind). Staff will clear the table before the digestifs (Sigh, we already discussed this) and if the person clearing your table is a female, please do not slap her on the ass and tell her that the food was almost as good as your Momma makes. Again, your wit may go over her head.

Now you can go grovel, threaten or twist arms for donations from your lessers. After stuffing your pockets with money you can kick off your shoes, loosen your belt, watch a game, have a beer and relax in your suite. That's not candy in the bathroom, it is soap.

"Sweet Home Alabama" By The Leningrad Cowboys

I'm not sure. Really. This may be one of the best videoes eveh. The end is.....amazing? Yeah.

Who says we didn't win the Cold War. Now if we could win the east and left coast.

Is Radical Islam Radical Or Is Their Radicalism The Norm For Them?

We visited Vasto, Italy where my wife's family is from for a few days so she could share her history. The family is filled with relatives and their history there goes back before the written word.

The first thing I wanted to see was the "old" church where her grandparents had wed, but also to surprise my wife with some genealogical information. In one of those difficult verbal exchanges, made so by my inability to speak Italian, I was informed their was only the "new" church and it was pointed out to me.

I looked at a structure that in America would have been a national monument based strictly on its age, so I asked about the old church. I was informed that a Turkish (Muslim) fleet had ravaged the entire length of Italy on the Adriatic side. It was then that remembered history told me that the "new" church had been built in 1477 AD after Vasto was burned, looted and the people were left for dead..

I asked if the there had been other such invasions. The kind gentleman and his wife who was gently trying to get me to understand both smiled and she said, "No" translating for her husband. He got a very hard look in his face and spoke in the local dialect which the wife translated loosely as, "They come again, this we know, but this time we'll be ready."

That memory and this video reminds me that Islam is doing exactly what they have been instructed to do for centuries.

I give you Lt. Col. West:

Obama's 'No New Taxes' Not A Pledge, But A 'Preference'

"Read my lips"

As warned, America is getting screwed. Big time by big lies, big plans and small minds. Enter Orszag. That would be Peter "lovechild" Orszag, a man of principle, truthiness and trust. Unless he says he loves you. In that case, run.

I once had a professor that could induce this effect merely by being in the same room.

It's a long way from grandiose thoughts of saving people from themselves to the reality of learning that the people don't want you saving them.

LA Supports Rape, Murder And Kidnapping In Arizona So LA Won't Be Illegal Crime Capital Of The World

L.A. Becomes Largest City To Boycott Arizona

The City Council voted 13-1 to bar Los Angeles from conducting business with Arizona unless the law is repealed.

LA City Council, pass your ban. You are manned by Latino and black members who have no idea how to run a city. You were elected because of your race, not your ability and now you expect the state and the nation to bail you out because of your incompetence.

And you want to order others around. As if you have the competence to order a bell boy to the right room. You couldn't successfully run an ice station in the Arizona desert. You are too stupid individually and as a group.

LA City Council, keep doing stupid things such as this. You, hour by hour, build support for Arizona's laws. Each time you feel the need to open your stupid mouths you assist those that want to keep this nation safe and prosperous. Thank you.

Oh, in your role of preaching to other people and states, why don't you figure out exactly how you will stop bankrupting such a huge and possibly prosperous state.

Thankfully, California won't be able to afford your salaries. Then you can join the illegals, homeless, insane and leeches that you have invited to live in your state and live in a state of need, except there is no money left in California to fill your self made need.

Boycott Arizona? Please do, you morons from Hell. In the name of equality, you will be equal with your citizens that you have impoverished.

Unfortunately, in the name of equality, you will have made California the kidnap capital of the world.

HS Basketball Team Denied Trip To AZ Over Politics, But Okayed For Communist China

Highland Park High School scraps team trip to Arizona
"would not be aligned with our beliefs and values," said District 113 Assistant Superintendent Suzan Hebson.

So, Arizona doesn't fit your beliefs and values, but Communist China does? Maybe someone should call Assistant Superintendent, Suzan Hebson, and ask if China's forced abortions and sterilizations, their murder of dissidents and China's core belief that Anglos are less intelligent than Chinese fit her set of beliefs and values. They must since she obviously supports sending her students to China, in fact she holds special classes so they can learn Mandarin.

USA Bankrupt So It's Time For 'Potty Parity'

Bravo! I know everytime I've had an economic meltdown I forge ahead to more pressing problems such as whether traditional bathrooms are adequate.

"In 2010, we must move the clock forward by finally addressing an overdue problem of unequal, inadequate and inaccessible public restrooms for women," he said.

Uh, how about jobs? Maybe the economy that you've destroyed? Any thoughts on future terrorist attacks?

Didn't think so.

America's Most Wanted: Little Debbie

"We have a roadmap for implementing our plan across our government and across the country,"

Michelle Obama told reporters today.Setting the tone for that pressure, the first lady said, "No one gets off the hook on this one from governments to schools, corporations to non-profits all the way down to families sitting around their dinner table."

Big Government And Big Spending Make Little Countries

Stupid is as stupid does

Robert Samuelson On the Welfare-State’s ‘Death Spiral’
Americans dislike the term “welfare state” and substitute the bland word “entitlements.” The vocabulary doesn’t alter the reality. Countries cannot overspend and overborrow forever. By delaying hard decisions about spending and taxes, governments maneuver themselves into a cul de sac.

What happens if all these countries are thrust into Greece’s situation? One answer — another worldwide economic collapse — explains why dawdling is so risky.

The big house at the end of the cul de sac, the one with faded paint which is peeling off and is filled with beggars and bureaucrats damning the landlord as they steal the paltry belongings that are left, is the United States of America.

The Anti-Religious Steal Senior's Prayer

I can imagine how my mother would've reacted. Upon being told she couldn't pray she would have lifted all 5' 2" inches to her feet and out loud led the group in prayer. And yes, she would have asked God to forgive the heathens who steal love and faith from the group, but she would have mostly asked God to help thugs who bully those with little time left to them.

Ga. Seniors Told They Can't Pray Before Meals
Tim Rutherford, Senior Citizens Inc. vice president, said some of his staff recently visited the center and noticed people praying shortly before lunch was served. Rutherford said his company provides meals like baked chicken, steak tips and rice and salads at a cost of about $6 a plate. Seniors taking the meals pay 55 cents and federal money foots the rest of the bill, Rutherford said.

"We can't scoff at their rules," he said of federal authorities. "It's a part of the operational guidelines."

Our three branches of government should be proud.

A Sad, Laughable View Of The MECha-Illegal View Of The World

via American Power

It is interesting that this artist(s) uses a National Socialism mode of art to portray his view of his struggle.

Socialism has brought tragedy to all that loved it. Just misery to all that accepted it.

The art's extremist view makes it sad, but laughable. To have a view such as this is the view of a twisted, stunted and little mind.

The art does show the inner workings of a mind incapable of understanding reality. Kind of like Salvador Dali without any interesting features or a Goya without intellectual underpinning.

Actually, it is high school comic book mimicry.
