IA Is Back

After the election I decided to spend some time in reflection. I did so because I work in politics and I was so wrong about the election that some serious thinking was due. Also, I took some time because the comments from liberals and progressives were predictably nasty and vulgar which is an anathema to me who has worked with many over the years and consider them friends. The last 12 years have witnessed a devolution in political discourse and congeniality. Unfortunately, creativity has devolved as conservatives have allowed the statists to mire our discourse to discussions of not whether our government is too big, but only to how much more.

It is time for change. Real change. More to come.

Election Night 2012

Back from campaign work and watching the results. Now the HaHa crowd will have a real poll to watch and comment on. Maybe they will have the last laugh, I do no not think so, but at least this poll will not have their smug lying smirk all over it.

This is where the rubber meets the road. This is where the work actually creates the desired results. This is also where the corruption kicks in.

Benghazi: Amb. Stevens Died For Obama's 2nd Botched Fast And Furious

First there was the killing of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and then Ambassador Stevens. Both were killed by operations that Obama couldn't control.

“And if the new Libyan government was sending seasoned Islamic fighters and 400 tons of heavy weapons to Syria through a port in southern Turkey–a deal brokered by Stevens’ primary Libyan contact (meaning Belhadj) during the Libyan revolution–then the governments of Turkey and the U.S. surely knew about it.”

The cover up keeps getting deeper and deeper and is pointing more and more directly to the White House.

MSM: Obama 3-0. Voters: Romney 3-0: LOL

A petulant Obama missed again tonight. Romney was presidential while Obama was, once again, a rookie candidate.

Independents really dislike Obama tonight. Oy, what was there to like? Nada.

Ohio: Reality Punishes Polls And Those That Buy Into Them

It's almost laughable.

In terms of absentee ballot requests, Republicans are hugely over-performing their 2008 levels, and the Democrats are underperforming compared to 2008, especially in the big counties,” he said. “What this means is that the polls are wrong. For weeks polls have shown an Obama lead ranging from 1 point to 8 points. But these absentee ballot requests reflect a huge enthusiasm gap among Democrats and Republicans, and I’m predicting a total shift from 2008.”

The smugness of the past is fading as their vaunted polls are punished by reality. I'm sure they will say  it's racism somehow.

Economic Ignorance Is No Way To Win A Debate

"Oh, so now you're Jack Kennedy"? Yeah, Biden actually said that. Clearly Joe is still plagerizing, this time from Lloyd Bensten, but he can't even remember prior economic events.

RYAN: You can cut tax rates by 20 percent and still preserve these important preferences for middle-class taxpayers. BIDEN: Not mathematically possible. RYAN: It is mathematically possible. It’s been done before. It’s precisely what we’re proposing. BIDEN (laughing): It has never been done before. RYAN: It’s been done a couple of times, actually. BIDEN: It has never been done before. RYAN: Jack Kennedy lowered tax rates, increased growth. BIDEN: Oh, now you’re Jack Kennedy

It's never been done? Yes it has and Jack Kennedy did it successfully. Also successful in increasing revenue by cutting tax rates were Ronal Reagan and George W. Bush. And Biden should not only know that, he should remember them.

Joe, economic ignorance is no way to win a debate. Nor is interrupting, sneering, smirking, laughing and pounding the table like some cheap communist thug.

Biden: Lying Liar's Lying Lies And Other Liberal Tactics

Great post:

As usual, Joel B. Pollak does a great job analyzing the LIES of the left. One of our FAVORITE reporters with Breitbart News!

Once again, Joe Biden lied his way through a Vice Presidential debate--just as he did in his contest with Sarah Palin in 2008. This time, the media caught a few of Biden's worst "malarkey" moments--as did his opponent, Paul Ryan, when he could get a word in edgewise.

Here are the top ten worst lies told by Biden during the debate:

10. "With all due respect, that’s a bunch of malarkey....not a single thing he said is accurate." At the outset of the debate, Biden tried to paint Ryan as a liar--when Biden, in fact, was the one lying. Ryan had pointed out: 1) that the White House had distanced itself from the Cairo embassy's apologies on 9/11; 2) that Obama had failed to speak up for Iranian protestors in 2009; 3) that the Obama administration called Syria's dictator a "reformer"; 4) and that the Obama administration is imposing defense cuts and projecting weakness. All of that is true.

9. "The president has met with Bibi [Netanyahu] a dozen times....This is a bunch of stuff." While they have met several times--not a dozen--that includes a meeting at which Obama made the Israeli prime minister enter the White House through a back entrance, refused to take a picture with him, and left him on his own for dinner. Specifically, Ryan had criticized Obama's refusal to meet Netanyahu in New York last month, and to tape talk show interviews instead--a clear snub that sent the wrong signal, again, to Israel's enemies.

8. "Just let the taxes expire like they’re supposed to on those millionaires." Biden's "millionaires" are actually households earning more than $250,000 a year, which includes many middle-class families with two earners, and small business owners in particular who report business earnings as personal income. Biden and Obama have repeatedly labeled those earning over $250,000 as "millionaires and billionaires," distorting the actual impact of their tax plan on the non-millionaires it would hit hardest, who create a vast proportion of small business jobs.

7. "You know, I heard that death panel argument from Sarah Palin. It seems that every vice presidential debate, I hear this kind of stuff about panels." Biden's cheap shot against Palin was an attempt to diminish both her and the man sitting across from him. But Palin never talked about "death panels" in her debate with Biden, for the simple reason that Obamacare had not yet been proposed. Nor did Ryan mention "death panels"--he had addressed the undeniable fact that Obamacare proposes a board to impose cost controls.

6. "The congressman here cut embassy security in his budget by $300 million below what we asked for." Biden's lie about Ryan's budget was an attempt to dodge responsibility for lax embassy security--and to cover up that the Obama called for new cuts to embassy security just days after the 9/11 attacks. Ryan's proposal, which called for a 19% overall decrease in non-defense discretionary spending, does not even mention embassy security--the Obama campaign merely made up that number by applying 19% across the board.

5. "No, they are not four years closer to a nuclear weapon." Biden's attempt to lie about the glaring reality of the Iranian nuclear program fell flat. Iran is indeed four years closer to a nuclear weapon, and the Obama administration--believing it knew better than its predecessors--tried to reinvent the wheel on talks with Iran, causing frustration to our allies in Europe and the Middle East. Meeting after meeting this year has failed to produce results, and the loophole-filled sanctions, while hurting Iran somewhat, are not stopping its nuclear program.

4. "No religious institution, Catholic or otherwise...has to be a vehicle to get contraception in any insurance policy they provide. That is a fact." No, it is not a fact--it is the opposite of a fact, and saying "that is a fact" does not make it any less a blatant lie. The Obama administration is forcing religious institutions to provide contraceptive and abortion drugs through their insurance policies. That is the reason several dozen religious institutions are suing the administration to defend their First Amendment freedom of religion.

3. "It came from this man voting to put two wars on a credit card...I was there. I voted against him." Biden voted for both the Iraq war and the Afghanistan war. He did not vote for George W. Bush's plan to extend coverage of Medicare to prescription drugs (though he voted for an earlier, similar proposal), nor did he vote for the Bush tax cuts. But he voted for both of the wars he derided last night. To quote Bill Clinton's speech to the Democratic National Convention: "It takes some brass to attack a guy for doing what you did."

2. "What we did is we saved $716 billion and put it back -- applied it to Medicare." Biden repeated the lie the Obama administration has been telling since before Obamacare passed in 2010: that cuts to Medicare today were savings that extend the life of the program. They would be--if the same $716 billion wasn't also being used to pay for Obamacare. As Ryan pointed out in 2010, and again last night, you can't double-count the same cuts. Taking $716 billion out of Medicare means exactly that--and hurts, not helps, the program's solvency.

1. "Well, we weren’t told they wanted more security again." Biden lied through his teeth about the fact that the administration--specifically, the State Department--had been told again and again that security on the ground in Libya, and in Benghazi in particular, was inadequate. The day before, in Congressional hearings on the Libya attacks, former regional security director Eric Nordstrom described his frustration with having those requests turned down by the government bureaucracy: "For me the Taliban is on the inside of the building."

The Obama Lie And The Romney Railroad Retirement

Obama Attacking Romney On Railroad Retirement, The Biggest Stealth Issue Of The 2012 Election

Voter Fraud Does Exist In Many Forms

There have been many "unbiased experts" that have stated that voter fraud is merely a Republican figment of their imagination. They love to smugly ask, "Well, tell me just how many have been found guilty of voter fraud"? They throw around very scientific numbers such as .001% as the amount of voter fraud of all the votes cast in each election.

Needless to say we have always had fraud in all areas and especially in elections. Robert Caro outlined the fraud used to elect LBJ  to various offices and just how the fraud was committed. We also know of the fraud that elected arguably the biggest ass in the world to the US Senate, Al Franken.

Storied locals of corruption such as Philly, Boston and Chicago offer up multitudes of cases of vote fraud, but those are stories from history. Below is a just a beginning of a list of more current fraud. Some involve Republicans, but by far Democrats are involved.

These are cases that have been uncovered which is probably just the tip of the iceberg of fraud. Now that foreign companies are involved in electronically counting not just our votes, but also those of our military personnel overseas it will probably grow.

Obama Becomes The Master Of Disaster

We can only guess what Obama's October surprise will be. Shutting down an Israeli attack on Iran? Assisting Israel in attacking Iran? Invading Jordan?

In the meantime Obama is imploding and even his media seems unable to help him.

Muffinheads Still Want Us To Believe Ohio Belongs To Obama

The polls. When against us people cried foul. Now that they're for us people scream YAHOO! I call phooey on all those that believe polls. Send me $14,000 and I'll make you a poll. Any poll you want.

Polling is an art. Polls can be manipulated to depress the vote/increase the vote. Polls can be misread. So what is real?

Absentees and Cleaned up Voter Rolls

I am sure that it was merely coincidence that there were 490,000 dead/duplicate voters registered in 2008. Well all their votes have been suppressed. Is there no shame for the dead duplicates? Their relatives in Chicago could not be reached for comment. Just a stone cold quiet. Forget about it Jake, it's ChiTown.

Obama Plans To Screw Ohio First Then The Nation's Middle Class Right In Their Homes

No more roads to suburbia. No help with business, schools and other developement. In fact, suburbia's tax dollars will go to prop up failing urban areas usually run by failures that call themselves Democrats and progressives. That's what Obama called for in his 2007 speech and what he has planned for a second term. His crowd call it Regionalism.

That's right, your tax dollars, say in River Forest, will be redistributed to Columbus. Not to your schools, roads and local services. To Obama and the Democrat Party you are the problem. So, they'll take your money to solve their problems.

President Obama aims to help Ohio’s Democrats bail out your state’s struggling cities by forcibly transferring suburban tax money to urban treasuries. It’s a bold plan to redistribute the wealth of Ohio’s suburbs. It also calls for halting the sort of highway and commercial development that brings jobs and taxes to the suburbs. The shorthand for this is “regionalism.” Should Obama be reelected, a redistributive city-based regionalist agenda will likely be imposed on Ohio’s suburbs.

It's called the Ohio Plan and Dear Leader wants to impose it nationwide. They call it Regionalism. I call it theft pure and simple. Government theft.

More importantly, as your community will become impoverished you won't be able to fight annexation by the failed centers of crime and corruption called cities. The suburbs will die and we can then all glory in the shared and equal misery of failed Democrat policies. It's called socialism.

Sherrod Brown Is An Obnoxious And Dirty Politician

With his history Sherrod Brown ought not throw stones. Every day he dirties our airwaves with his anti-Semitic and disingenuous campaign ads. Sherrod didn't save the auto industry, he just put taxpayers billions of dollars in debt. He says that Mandel is a liar for pointing out he didn't pay his taxes on time even though it is a matter of the public record. Brown himself said that he misplaced the tax bill. Twice.

Brown said that Mandel "is lying about his own record. The rating of Ohio's investment fund has NOT improved." Yeah, Brown is the one lying.

Brown lied again stating, "When Josh Mandel claims to have accepted three debates with Sen. Sherrod Brown, he is lying. He has accepted ZERO proposed debates." Yep, he's a liar on this one too.

Brown accused Mandel of opposing federal loans to the auto industry to support his claim that he saved the auto industry. That's a lie as well.

Brown has accused Mandel of "The big lie." The "big lie" was coined by Adolf Hitler. Mandel is Jewish. His grandfather survived the Holocaust.

Brown is a pig and deserves to be thrown out of office. Being an ass is no qualification for office and Brown is an ass each and every day who doesn't represent Ohio well, but embarrasses the state on a daily basis. Besides, with his past he shouldn't be accusing anybody of anything.

Voter Calls Out Obama For Lying About Her Calling Out Paul Ryan

The gang that can't shoot straight and aims poorly later has done it again. Oh, and this time it wasn't Babbling Biden.

I am the woman in the Green Bay Packer jacket at Rep. Paul Ryan’s rally in Clinton who asked him the question about specific plans to fix our economy. Needless to say, I was quite shocked to learn the Obama campaign seized my question, putting out the statement “Even Ryan can’t attend his own rally without being called out.”
I was not calling Ryan out. I had the opportunity to ask a direct question to Paul Ryan and what I got was a complete direct answer with no spin.
Even though 600 other people were attending, I felt Mr Ryan was talking directly to me. I thanked him after the event for answering my question. I left the event feeling satisfied and confident that the Romney/Ryan plan is what our country needs.
Today I am outraged that my question is being misrepresented and used as a political tool against the Romney/Ryan campaign by both media and the Obama camp. The question I asked is what we the citizens want to know: How is the Romney/Ryan plan going to tackle this economy? Paul Ryan answered it with precise clarity.
My next question is to President Barack Obama. What is your specific plan to fix the economy you said you would fix 4 years ago?
Linda Morrison
Maybe they should go back to lying about Romney's issue proposals. At least the media won't question their lies and spin. Why should they, they're officially working for the Obama campaign.

Axlerod Whistles For Media Dogs To Attack Romney After Obama's Debate Meltdown

Oh yeah. Time for the Chicago campaign style to go national again.

After Obama totally failed in his first debate with Romney (due to aLgOre's climate, too much golf, Jim Lehrer being in the bag for Romney or Jimmy Carter's influence) David Axlerod has called for the Obama Media to attack every word, number or fact uttered by Romney between now and the November election.

Unfortunately even some of the Obama Media Drones are beginning to turn back onto Obama, but Axlerod thinks he can still control them.

Soon Obama will start wearing Al of Capone suits to intimidate reporters. That's the Chicago way, don't ya know. Shoot first and back to Daley Plaza fast to report to the bosses.

The Don't Ask Don't Tell Campaign Of The Disaster Called Obama

From Ed Driscoll with some added points:
I added some of my own:

Identifying the race based strategy of a presidential campaign is racist. So ignore the blatant racism of the campaign.

A presidential candidate bows to the teachings of a socialist reverend for 20 years and claims the reverend is a nobody. Ignore the obvious.

A presidential candidate rams through Congress the largest tax increase in our history and calls it a benefit for our health. That it will destroy our health industry, major corporations and our health as individuals and a nation is totally ignored.

A presidential candidate has and is lying about every facet of his political history is really just campaigning. All candidates do it. So, yep, ignore it.

A presidential candidate who tells corporations to purposely violate federal labor laws to help him get reelected and he’ll pay their legal bills. Ignore that too.

A president that sent an openly gay ambassador to a Muslim country, ignored his pleas for more protection and then left him and others to die and, as they lay dying,  the president blamed it on a film maker and his low budget video trailer to cover for his campaign. Yeah, I know. So what?

A president who knowingly lied, along with his lapdog media and leftist politicians and bureaucrats, about Death Panels for our elderly and infirm lie about anything. Let’s ignore it. Right?

Screams Of My Father

On the Obama-Biden campaign’s website, the Letter of the Week is from a woman named Brittany. She writes:
Hello! My name is Brittany and I live in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. I am 25 years old (but I will be 26 on October 3rd!). I am a registered Democrat and I have been voting since I was 18. I am one of the 47% of Americans who fall under Mitt Romney’s definition of “entitled” and “unable to take responsibility for my life.” I have Down syndrome.
There is so much that is heinous about Brittany being used for political gain in this way, but let’s start with the obvious thing, which is that neither Mitt Romney nor anybody running for office under the Republican banner is suggesting doing anything that would hurt her.

The sins of the father vs the sins of the son, etc. That a campaign can so easily get away with such a stunt is problematic, to say the least, for our country. Suggesting shame would only be met with sneers and doubling down in that order, by first the media and then the campaign. It makes one want to scream. In vain, but scream.

SHOCKER: Ohioans Really Believe Romney A Viable Human

I love to watch people swoon over polls. Just as the military made up the bulk of the beginning of the anti-war movement leading up to the Vietnam War, today's campaign professionals know a pig in a poke when they see one, polls.

Such luminaries of the polling world as the New York Times and the Washington Post have been wrong so many times as to convince watchers to bet against them every time because the odds against being right. It's easy to bet against in-kind political contributions when they are transparent lies. That local news outlets simply pass on the lies is a given, especially in these cut-and-paste days of no reporting.

In the 2012 presidential campaign these same in-kind contributions are being made again all over the country and especially so here in Ohio where The Washington Post has Obama up by 8 points. Maybe in downtown Toledo where Obama should be up by 16 points if there were any people living in downtown Toledo.

The press in its herd mentality has been reporting on Romney's "worst week" as if it were true because that is what they do to help their guy. The week was so incredibly bad for Romney that Obama needs a +10 Democrat weight in the polling to have a slight edge, but it must be reported that Obama is up by 8 so that republicans get depressed and the Romney campaign must spend more money to counteract such lies. That is campaigning here in Ohio, Romney VS Obama and his lapdog media.

How to account for the massive crowds appearing at Romney, Paul or Romney/Paul rallies here in Ohio? Simple, in this "new" campaigning, voters don't believe the media nor their polls. In short, the voter knows they are being lied to because it is the new norm which they do not like, but accept as reality. They accept that they cannot change. They cannot change that they have no longer are a part of because the voter has left the mainstream Republican and Democrat process because they see it for what it is. Fixed. The old guard wants to control Romney, but with his pick of Ryan he quietly told them, "No, thank you." Now they take pot shots at him, his campaign and what he says.

Ohio believes Romney to be a decent man and a good candidate. Ohioans really believe Romney a viable human. They also believe he can beat Obama. I know I do.
